i have no idea what my avi is, nor do i remember where i got it, but i have grown fond of it. too vague to tell exactly what it is, no more than fact that it is some kinda of swordsman

Well, as of this post, I'm not using my "standard" Mr. Blonde avatar, though I may switch back to that one in not too long a time.

I switched over to this current one, of Graham Jones, (from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow) shortly before the release of Oblivion. Although both are of video game villians, I liked this one, and at the time, I was playing a "villian" in a forum game, (to be more specific, Steerpike's "dynamic" on the official TES forums) and decided this one was more fitting.

However, even without that merit, it still fulfils the criteria I demand for my "standard" avatars: it's a video game character, and not immediately recognizable. (at least to most people) I have a number of avatars I've not used yet, or only used for a short duration, including my Halloween and Christmas avatars. I'm suprised that I haven't heard any posts about those, but perhaps they don't merit questions.

I like this one NotTheKing ... very airy looking. Very refreshing to look at not to mention good-looking. hehehe

The funny thing is, in-game, with the context that the image is used in, (it's from a dialogue box) it comes across as something totally different, as a feeling of indignation. Because I noted that without said context, it appears rather different, I found that I was much more pleased with how it looks then, and decided to hold on to this avatar for longer.

If you have a Game Boy Advance, I do recommend this game.

Wolf's Rain, which is my favorite anime. Its of the main character Kiba.

Amusingly enough, people have managed to confuse it for the friggin giant wolves from Princess Mononoke.

That avatar is great, and you almost look like a Finnish Dremora craving attention! If you replace the flag with your own you could just keep that avatar, imho...

Well, seeing as how I'm Finnish and have yet to conquer a country of my own that's the closest I'll get to a flag of my own. Of course, I could draw a unique flag for my imaginary land in Paint (estimated quality of final result: utter crap) but that would completely ruin the unique ugliness of (Mr) Lordi. Besides, I'm too lazy to do that.

Yeah, there are episodes out there, if you look hard enough you could probably find some on the internet - probably Youtube.

And it is very interesting. Its by the same guys who made Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo.

I don't know why, but the animes in the 20-30 episode range tend to be some of the best. Less episodes = more time on each one.

My old avatars was a weird monster guy... I got him because I thought he looked like me in real life... but my new one... well it's... the truth is that I dont know what the hell he is... some sort of monster I guess... I chose him because it fits my personality... plus he looks cool...

It's the King... something on M of the Dark Elves Army in Warhammer, lol I know since I once collected Warhammer and I got him in my army I usually only liked the painting of the figures thought, I had apparently talent for it...

If it's any comfort, I've had quite a few of those relationships myself... Guess I'm not as good at reading minds as I would like to think. Sometimes I broke up with a girl - even if it broke my heart - just because she seemed to be very unhappy when she was with me, and I would make it easier on her by breaking up myself. Then when talking to her later it turned out she was unhappy because she felt she wasn't 'sufficient' for me, which of course she was, and she was totally broken when I broke up with her... This has happened to me twice! Ah how I sometimes wish we had telepathic capabilities...

To keep this on topic, I like your avatar very much, for the reasons mentioned above!
