Khajiit's of course!(My avatar) They're a humanoid version of lions, I can't not love them! Well, seriously, they're adorable, great for archers/thiefs/assassins and well, they're cats! Not saying that I love house cats, I love wild cats. Big hunting wild cats. X)

But after that I guess it's gotta be the dunmer, they are so good with destruction magic, and when you're running around in Oblivion all the time the resist fire damage is soooo useful.

My Favorite race would have to be the People of the Root. I love their history, culture, and their racial adaptations. Nothing is better than immunity to all diseases, poisons, and the ability to breath underwater!

Second would have to be the Dunmer for similar reasons as the Argonians, like the fall of the Chimer for example.

Third would be the Khajiits. I find it enthralling that their very form is based on the stages of Tamriel's moons! Besides, who doesn't love the sugar-loving sand kitties?

And forth would be the Altmer, love the golden-skinned Mage-Gods.

I have always played Dunmer characters until recently. Right now, I am playing a Bosmer. I started a fan fic about him, but alas, I need more posts to be able to start that thread in here.

Redguard, definatly. I love the sound of the females voice

I can't stand that voice... the acting was atrocious.

I much prefer the male Redguard's voice. At least he put some feeling into his lines.

Dunmer, without a doubt. I love the lore behind them, the way they look and their bonuses in game.
Second would be Nords. Same reasons as above.

Altmer for me.

Lore, Culture, Architecture, Weaponry, Armor etc......All very interesting, people give them way too much hate.

I've got to say Bretons, Imperials, Nords, Argonians, And Khajiit

Bretons: They're just badass when it comes to magick, and even though I don't use it much, I enjoy making spells and being able to use them because my Breton character has enough magicka. They're somewhat like the brains if Tamriel.

Imperials: Homestly, I think that they definitely show that they are capable of creating a stable(almost), peaceful(sort of), prosperous empire. Face it, they're the reason that Tamriel has cities and towns of all sorts. They're somewhat like the confidence of Tamriel.

Nords: Feirce warriors, and very hard workers. They're furiously loyal to their beliefs, and definitely stand out as a very prominent race. They're like the backbone of Tamriel.

Argonians: It's pretty epic how they can breathe underwater, and I'm very curious about their homeland, black marsh. Besides, despite the way they're treated by the other races, they still move in with thier lives. They're always hopeful, and that's definitely worth taking note of.

Khajiit: They ae epic thieves, and like the Argonians, despite being treated horribly by the other races, they keep on fighting!

That's half of the playable races KOB!

I'm not being racist, I'm just not an elf fan. I usually like characters that can be extremely manly(yes, orcs can be like that, but I can't stand the way they look) and in my eyes, elves are......frilly. Im not saying I hate elves, but The Thalmor have helped contribute to me not being an elf fan....

It’s taken me a long time to sort out my favorite race, because my judgment is so clouded by how much I like my favorite characters from peoples’ stories and videos. So I thought about how fun the different races are to play in Oblivion and Skyrim for my answers.

From Oblivion I enjoy Redguards the most. Awesome culture, tremendous fun to play as swordsmen from the first step into the world, and (this part is pure vanity) pretty easy to make a good-looking character if you can sort out the uneven complexion issues. Adrenaline Rush lets a Redguard travel in clothing with just boots and bracers for armor. Block with the sword. Like Cyrus! Also a high percentage of my favorite Oblivion NPCs are Redguards. Michael Mack’s voice has a lot to do with that! The game’s description says it the best, though. “The most naturally talented warriors in Tamriel.” Yes, please!

In Skyrim it was tough to choose between Redguard, Khajiit, and orcs, but Berserker Rage makes me go with orcs. The stronghold culture provides an easy basis for an independent spirit who rejects their upbringing and finds their own way in the world, which has a lot of appeal to me. I also like to create characters against type, and Berserker Rage provides a way for non-warriors to survive Skyrim’s many hairy situations. Plus I really like the way Skyrim orcs look. It’s been fun to embrace a completely different standard of beauty.

Still, I just love Skyrim’s Khajiit. Their NPC voices, unarmed fighting, Nighteye, and the whole outsider culture are a lot of fun for me. I think I will be up to my Khajiit J’Shanji’s fourth life when he gets reborn into the game, and my Khajiit Shuvesse has really clung to my imagination. For team Redguard my characters have all been unadulterated awesome, right up until they died. Plus Asrael was almost too hot for third person.

Have you tried an Argonian? Their Hist power makes their health regenerate so fast!

My husband's favorite is Argonian. He never has to buy Waterbreathing potions lol

My favorite changed with Skyrim. The dark elves there seem a bunch of whiners with a sense of entitlement larger than Nirn itself. It makes me glad their country was blown up and then stomped by the Argonians.

Now my favorite are the Altmer. I always liked them in Oblivion, especially playing one born under the Apprentice because of what wonderful glass cannons they make. Something in Skyrim put them over the top for me. I am not sure exactly what. Maybe it is just a knee-jerk reaction to the Thalmor (and by extension most Altmer) being the bad guys now? Or perhaps it is the English accents they now have? Or maybe it is just that Niranye is a sexy beast? In any case, I do love playing them now.

There isn't enough places in the game where water breathing would be really helpful, at least in my opinion. They look awesome, and they have that mega health regen power.

Two, but I haven’t tried Histskin yet. Kai-Neeus stuck to the shadows until a patch took her out, and Crook Tooth hasn’t been in real danger yet. He is so cautious and good at sneaking that he even slipped by a sabre cat. He does look awesome. Especially after his makeover. He cashed in his first major haul to get his feathers dyed blue.

OHHH yes. Darian is one of my fave males in the contest we had last month.

I can't pick a fave in either OB or Sky. Orcs are my least fave in Oblivion (Lord Rugdumph and Mazoga are a couple exceptions), but i actually like the orcs in Skyrim.

The Orcs in Oblivion were comical looking. In Skyrim, EVERYONE was terrifying, Orcs most of all...

The Orcs looked better in Daggerfall

Mind you, creating that mod wasn't as easy as just rolling one in character creation. But after I'd made her for Oblivion, I just had to do the same when I installed the earlier game.

WHOA that looks awesome! I think I would defintely 'regress' to DF if I had a PC.

Then again, it probably doesn't take a very powerful PC to run Daggerfall, right? Hmm.....

The bizarre thing about Daggerfall is that you need either a (reasonably) powerful machine to run DosBox to emulate the old DOS calls via the more complex Windows API's, or a really old one that Win 95 can support. That means that a lot of the middle-aged machines (e.g. the 433MHz Celeron thing I tried it on) that can run Win XP happily, can't run Daggerfall at all.

I spent a while recently trying to get it installed on an old laptop that has Win 95, and so you can access a real DOS to run it natively. However, my new machine has no floppy drive, and the old machine can't handle a thumb drive, and has no CD reader or ethernet port, so I can't transfer the software across!

Any machine that can run Oblivion has enough power to run DosBox and Daggerfall, though. You just can't assume that an old machine will run it, even if it's more recent than the game.

, i dont "hate" any races , all races have got the good , the bad , the ugly . the only race i dont usually play is the high elves , but honestly i never understand people who cant play a race because they think they are "ugly" or "un - realistic" but it seems pretty common which shocks me.

For me it´s Nords and Dunmer. Those are the races I feel closest to. I also like Khajiit but only because I like cats

Dunmer, Altmer, Breton, in that order.

Argonians also fit in there somewhere, I'm just not entirely sure where.

Reasons:

Dunmer: My goto race, the one I feel most comfortable playing.
Altmer: Love the idea of the arrogant mages
Breton: That magic resistance...
Argonian: Though they don't look as good as they did in Morrowind, still a fan of the lizards.
