Did you find any Easter Eggs in the game yet?
I have one:
Check out the Toadstoll Hollow cave
It's located beside a road betwen Imperial City and Bruma.
Explore the cave.
There is a door with a hard lock.
Lockpick it,or find the key in the cave.
You will see a Troll sitting in a barrel holding a bottle of cheap wine!
And finaly, this may be a bug i'm expiriencing(I'm playing the game in low resolution)but the shadow of the Troll is completely diffrent than it should be!
The shadow shows that the Troll is standing and slightly moving!
But this last one can be a bug.......
This is maybe not an Easter Egg,but it's still funny.....
So,how about you?

Well, most people who met M'aiq The Lair in morrowind remember his strange remarks and just downright falsehoods, though I found his out take on things to be interesting, only some of the things he had to say were true, and most people were unable to sort out what is true from what is not since some of the true things sound very unlikely.
Anyways he was an easter egg in Morrowind and I heard a rumor that he was put into oblivion as well, though his speech appears to be less random and more sensible than in Morrowind, it does appear that he truly is in the new game.
I cannot prove this is authentic but I dug up some video that someone posted on Planet Elderscrolls,
M'aiq The Liar.

He says different things too, another: "So much easier to get around these days. Not like the old days. Too much walking. Of course, nothing stops M'aiq from walking when he wants."
Apparently he also talks about dragons (among others) but I don't have a qoute.
As with MW, he is commenting on the developers thoughts on the game and the developers thoughts on some of the comments they get from players.

You kno M'aiq the Liar from the island in Morrowind. Well once i was in Anvil and came out of a house and he was right there in front of me. He told me something about how the creature races look better. But then he ran of and i followed but couldn't keep up.

I've noticed that sometimes the rock formations make interesting shapes. I have a new hobby at times, like cloud-watching, but now its rock-watching

I've seen a frog, a man and woman, and various other animals. My wife sees 'em too! LOL

Yeah there is a Dragon Claw rock to the north westish of Bruma, where are the other ones you saw?
Also it's not really an easter egg... but when you beat the Fighters guild quests and have to talk to Modres (Or whatever the guy in Chorrol whos gives you quests is named), he mentions how his painting is getting better, look at his painting in his house... I almost burst out laughing (Good thing I didint, as it was late last night

I think this is a massive easter egg but thats just me, what you guys think?
You know how the producers of the game, like todd howard, said that NONE of the elder scrolls games tie in with each other? Like how he said that morrowind and oblivion are set in 2 totally different world bases and don't have any connections?
Thats not true, Oblivion is based years before Morrowind.
There is a book inside one of the castles, i wont tell you which one cus its a main-story quest i think. But there is a book in one of the castles thats called something like, "Nerevar, Moon and Star" or something along those lines.
When you read the book it says all the Blah blah blah we've all heard in Morrowind about the ashlanders waiting for the nerevarine to come back and banish the invaders and what not.
I thought that was pretty cool

I don't see what's the easter egg here.Actualy Oblivion is several years AHEAD Morrowind(as the devs say). You will hear in one of the NPCs conversations that Narevarine has gone to an expedition to Akavir.
What you found is an outdated book.A book writen before Narevarine apeared.

the nerevarine or nerevar? because in morrowind i never went to akavir

That book is like you picking up some book writen in the past... i mean, its still around but that doesn't mean it has to be up to date. Like a book on the American Civil war.

here's another point, in Morrowind, emporer uriel septim let you out of prison. in oblivion, emporer uriel septim is... well...
it's hard to release someone from prison several years after you bought the farm.
