In waiting for Reaper's new gun..


Took out my Browning yesterday and annoyed my neighbours. Fifteen rounds on paper; three rounds and then check results, rinse and repeat. Love autoloaders btw

Not too shabby, considering I use iron sights and tiny targets meant for air pistols. I don't shoot too far, the backyard doesn't allow for it. Maybe 50 meters. I compared the results I got with a full-size moose target and all rounds were placed within bullseye. In fact, the paper targets themselves all fit within that ring!

So I'm all set now. Apples are out and now we wait. Though if previous years are any indication; don't expect too much

The Browning is your bp gun?

Nein, the Browning is my .30-06 moose gun. I only have BP pistols so far.

Certainly! But it's much more likely I'll get a buck. In fact, I saw two deer hopping about this morning but they were behind vegetation and didn't fancy coming into my line of sight. Go figure.


Thanks! I would have wanted tighter groups but I guess it's ok. Short barrel and autoloading does impact on that. But it was good enough a result for hunting so I guess I can't complain.

Ooh, that's a nifty little thing! I'd take a look at it myself if I could. Looks like it has the same loading gate as the Colt SAA

Most single action revolvers has that CSAA frame, I also learned that some or most of those types of revolvers you don't have to half prime the hammer to rotate the chamber, just open that side loading panel and the chamber rotates freely, no need to prime.

Hey, Reaps. How's the new gun purchase coming along?

Probably going to be getting it out in January or the end of December. I need to get my Jeep a tag or else I'm going to make some cop very happy. I'm going to make a payment on it the 1st as I have other purchases to make.

Had a pretty good morning at the range today. Three were kind of low, but the rest were all good.

Well good news and bad news but also special news.

First the Bad: I had to cancel the .45 ACP Revolver layaway, it just to much right now and I have some bills that REALLY need to be paid.

The Good: I did get a new gun by store credit A 9MM High Point pistol.

Now the special: I'm not done with getting a new gun as my other new gun will be a Kel-Tec 9MM rifle with either an extended magazine or drum. We'll see how things go tomorrow IF my check comes in.

Well, I'm just hasslin' ya. I've heard people trashing Hi-Points to no end but I would get one myself immediately if only I could and it was my only choice.

I love them! You get the firepower and you're wallet doesn't take a beating either. Anyway the next gun I'm getting tomorrow will make up for not getting the .45 revolver. It'll make you so Jelly .

That is probably definitely true.

I went to a couple of places and looked at some new toys to get the first.

1: Kel-Tec 9MM/w 50 round drum
or
2: 12 gauge shotgun that looks either like an AR-15 or AK-47 (JTS 12 I believe its called).

I think I'm going for the Kel-Tec 2000 sub 9MM, I'll get the Drum if I can. It looks fun to shoot and easy to take care of. I love the Hi-Point Carbine but that thing is a Bee-with-an-itch to strip and clean! It has a lot of small parts and even the pistol variant aren't fun to strip and clean.

I know something that's fun to strip down.
