Yet another iteration of this place
Last ThreadQUOTE(minque)
This is meant to be a place where you can talk about anything without having to stay on topic. Feel free to ask questions, to talk about the things in your life you like to share with your fellow-members. Or just step inside for a while, have a coffe and a good chat!
You may feel free to post whatever you like as long as it is within the rules of the forum.
But if the conversation degrades to spam, you will be treated as though you are spamming anywhere else on the forum. This is a thread where you can relax and talk about personal things, but it is not to be used as an excuse to make pointless posts.
Please help to keep this alive and well and a place where we can meet and share.
Enjoy your stay here!!!
And the rules:
QUOTE(Alexander)
We had intended the coffee shop to be a nice place where people could talk about their daily activities and such, kinda like the Lurkers Lair on the Official Forums.
It didn't quite turn out that way though, people have been taking advantage of their freedoms in here, there has been a lot of spamming and even some flaming. We will not tolerate that any longer.
So unfortunately we've had to decide to increase the rules for this thread. Of course the normal forum rules still apply, but we'll elaborate here.:
1. No spamming.
We consider double posting and posting posts with only a few words to be spam. If you do that your post will be deleter or moved, do it too often and you might receive a warning for it.
We also consider chit-chat spam. This forum has a special chat channel for chatting, you're welcome to go there, and chat with other members or with the staff as we're always there, doing it in here is not allowed.
The address to that chatroom is:
W4O chat
And for assistence to use a chat like this, I recommend looking over this thread:
http://forums.waiting4oblivion.com/viewtopic.php?t=248Or contacting one of the Administrators.
2. No discussion of accounts or warnings.
There shall be no more discussion about members, about accounts, about how many warnings you've gotten or anything like that.
3. No trolling.
No posting of random nonsense, no posting of irrelevant things, no posting the same thing over and over just to get it noticed, no swearing or flaming.
4. No religion or politics.
No discussion about religion or politics is to be had in these threads. If you want to discuss religion or politics, please do make another thread, or if another such thread already exists, please post in it.
If you have a question about the rules of the forums, feel free to ask it to either a Global Moderator or an Administrator.
If you're unsure if something is fit to post here, it might be. Again best to ask a Global Moderator or Administrator.
If you're wondering how we think a Lair or the Coffee Shop should look like, what we do allow, then I recommend taking a look at the Lurkers Lair at the Official Forums.

Wow, you are one scarey dude Black Hand! I just sent a pm to Geonox about the people in my MySpace friends list and was just telling him about your cool Morag Tong Avvy and Siggy .... then I look around in the coffeeshop ... and you have entered and are sitting here silently reading.
What stealth. What telepathy. What shivers! Is this how the Morag Tong always operates???

Where is the hot female waitresses?

I take a sip of my coffee, the black leather gloves quietly creaking as my fingers grasp the steaming hot cup.
I look over at Ibis, I smile slightly, and nod to her her saying, "Yes, yes it is."
I then pull out a crossbow with a trout instead of a bolt, and point it at Pisces.

"Well, you see what Trey has done here and this is great really, is recount his experiences in Morrowind in a form that we read and is really quite engrossing and entertaining. It's even inspired me to write my own series."
"oh and heres another donut. Day old though. Sorry."
Ibis
Jul 10 2006, 07:43 AM
That's cool, day olds are more crunchy. I did read the beginnings of your tale of you and your sister in Cyrodiil and left a comment on the site. I hope you will be writing more soon. Is your story posted here at Chorrol yet too?

I didn't look soon enough ... I see The Tale of Sethyas Velas by you at the FanFiction forum. I will be reading that too. How nice to know the author personally. May I buy you a celebratory cuppa cappacino? Or just another coffee?

I appear at the tedge of town. On my right I notice a coffeeshop with a 'just opened' sign. After a moment to think, I look down at my dusty clothes. One handwave later, and it looks as if I just bought them. I step inside and get an empty table.
Another hand wave and a glass filled with deliciously cool water appears in my hand. I take a few sips while looking at the crowd.
,,I'll have the apple pie."
So, how are things?
Sir Radont

I like capuccino a lot better than regular coffee. I don't like the taste of coffee very much, though I've tried to like it many times.

Yet another mysterious stranger wanders..... Naah, it's too early. Just give me tea. Oh, and a donut like that nice young lady over there is having.
The grandsons will be arriving on Wednesday evening for 3 or 4 days of merriment, sunburn, wearing out grand-dad... the usual. The big excitement will be to go to Dollywood [groan]. I haven't been there since it was Silver Dollar City. Before which it was Gold Rush Junction, before which it was the Rebel Railroad. Which I rode on when I was 4.
Grand-dad takes tea and donut to a quiet corner to grab a nap.

Age of Decadence? In short; it's an upcoming cRPG which, to me, seems to be more or less exactly what I've been waiting for a long time now.

I put down my glass with a smile as the piece of pie arrives. I pull out a bag filled with golden coins drawn out of thin air like usually. What can I say, I like to travel light.
I ignore the complaints about the wrong type of currency as I take in the other customers.
(Alright, enough roleplaying.)
Age of Decadence? Some people say we're already living in one. Sounds interesting though. If it can do what it promises, it will be very good indeed.

Wow aside from dantrag this is beginning to look a lot like soft core porn.
A debaunnaire young gent takes a hard look around, then boisterously makes his way to the back so he can sneak cat feces into the coffee. On his way he sees a young waitress with an eye catching bust, and snaps a smile as he enters the "employee's only" door, raising and eyebrow, as if beckoning her to follow.
Ibis
Jul 10 2006, 09:07 PM
Hahaha ... I think YOUR entrance made it seem like softcore porn, Doom! Cat feces? Quick Wolfie, guard the coffeepot! Distract DoomedOne with some ninja waitresses ... Pisces doesn't need them all.
Yes Hypno, you may expect the "Dwemer Kitchen" mod soon ... that was one of the reasons I reformatted my computer. In answer to the Black Hands question - I am now building a Wizard Tower near Caldera that is going to house my collection of Celestial Wizard Robes. I guess this tower could go with the other two cliffracer shooting towers and it could be three mods that could run together, if one so choosed.
Ibis gratiously accepts a jellybutter stuffed doughnut from Telina as Ibis's KermitKitty watches the Sniper Kitten popping sugar balls with her rifle and wishes she had a water pistol. Ibis sends a cappacino over to Sir Radont's table.
Excited about Age of Decadence & Never Winter Nights II, yes. But what about Gothic III, anyone waiting for that? They say that Gothic was the pioneer game for the NPCs to have little routines that they went through so you had to find them at their scheduled place ... like Oblivion has done now.
Trey, do your grandkids play computer games too? Dollywood used to be all those places huh? Have fun, after you nap sufficiently of course

I wave my hands and create several pieces of metal that I then Telekinetically bolt on the door DoomedOne wanted to open. Now he can't open it without serious firepower.
Ahem, it is nice to see that there is still being modded for Morrowind. So you've got Cliffracer shooting towers? Are those automatic? Sounds damn cool. Maybe I should mod something similar. Archers on a tower and then add some respawning creatures for them to shoot. Sounds funny even though I already know that I'll just happen to be in front of the arrows. I could make a castle under siege or something.
*Runs of to work on the ideas.*
Ibis
Jul 10 2006, 09:39 PM
Hmmm ... HyPNO should I give out secret information about the towers? Well, one does have ballistas that shoot some rather unique bombs at the foul winged creatures.
But Jack Cloudy, since the cliffracer towers will be coming out soon ... I would encourage you to design something unique. The castle under seige sounds very interesting.
jack cloudy
Jul 10 2006, 09:51 PM
Actually, my modding experience can be summed up as removing enchantments and removing the actual blessings from the shrines. I'll have to try it out.

But I'll still try to put archers on the wall to shoot creatures.

Definitely excited about Gothic III; got Gothic II Gold a while back and haven't had a chance to really play it yet. [Darned RL. Don't see why no one is willing to pay me obscene amounts of $ to play PC games and surf the Forums.]

Soooooooo.... I'm living with my mom for the rest of the summer, my financial aid and dorms officially have all the extra tidbits of info they need so now I'm just waiting for them to tell me things, and my sister should get off work tomorrow for the first time in a long time so she may be coming down with some herbal supplements for me to buy. Once I have them I'll be hitching back to where I used to live and hanging with an old friend of mine, and then hitching over to a town not far from here and hanging with an old friend, and then going next door and making friends with the kid that lives there.
Until, then, however, I've been doing absolutely nothing but eating and lucid dreaming. I flew earlier today in my dream, fun stuff.

The journey Was really long, so let me tell you what I learned on the way. There are still places with Big Boy, some Americans shop at a "Piggily Wiggaly", everything is twenty cents to the doller cheaper, Buffalo smells nice, there are alot of tabinakey restauraunts, Southern seafood is amazing and North Carolina and South Carolina are completely differant. The hotel I stayed at was really great and it had a balconey looking at the Ocean and was surrounded by amazing seafood restaraunts and zoos (getting snuggled by a cute baby tiger FTW).
This was followed by spending three days in D.C. Getting to see the Vietnam wall, the Korean memorial, the Lincoln Mmemorial and the Iwo Jima statue all in one day was astonishing, and the Smithsonian and the spy museum were very cool. Also, the hotel I stayed at was nice except for a break in. Ofcourse, the break-in happened decades ago during the Nixon administration

. Yes, I stayed at the Watergate hotel and it was amazing. The suite I got pretty much by being really personable was beautiful, with a marble bathroom and an enourmous, Patomac facing balcony. I felt like I was out of my world getting to see foreign diplomats and seeing secret service all over the bar even after Condolizza Rice and the Ambassador of England had left the hotel. Very simply, if you can, go there.

My cat is trying to headbutt and scratch my hands as I type, she jumped on me because she sensed I need to make dinner, she is good at that, never jumps up unless I need to leave. But she is very cute, I was looking down watching her so all my hair was over down infront of my face so she sat up and rubbed against my hair thinking it would stroke her.
And I just bought a carton of Hoegaarden and some honey wine but I can't drink it with my cat on me, she has defeated me!

Wow - the Watergate Hotel. That would be fun to stay at. The seafood sounds great, I notice you said that buffalo smelled good. You didn't say buffalo tasted good ... you should have tried it. It is. I know you can't mean the live animal smells good because we had one as a mascot at our bank in Texas named "Binky the Buffalo" and he stank to high heaven all the way acrost the yard. hahaha I'd forgotten about him. Always bank at a bank guarded by a buffalo.
Doomed, not sure you should go hitching around with all those "herbal supplements" .. or am I misunderstanding the meaning?? As for lucid dreaming - you are a practicing Oneironaut then? (Lucid Dreamer) I sometimes close my eyes & go to the bottom of a well and break through the water tension ... to a world in electical-colored silloquettes ... but then I get frightened by the intensity and wake up. I don't know if that is anything to do with lucid dreaming or what comes next. Sometime I'll stay and find out.

Sir Radont, I will remind you that you should be writing your book because I am so enjoying The Story of Trey and want to read Black Hand's finction and I would like to see more Chorrol-based fiction. Also I will remind you not to play games this month because I am not allowed to do one this month since I messed up the bank account slightly and that is my punishment .....
