In my family it gets scary, Ive been barracaded in my brothers room, with my brother, and my mother. With my dad throwing a rampage around the house. Fights like this happen like almost on a schedule. Im just coming around to who I was, Im usually a hyper funny guy, and for awhile I just became dark. I predict another fight soon, but Im fed up of trying to stay in a good mood. Ive always been the one on the side of the fight, but Im sick of a psycopath (spelling) dad rampaging, next time he starts that Im stopping him.
Anyway, I dont want to get into the horrid parts of my life

. Im fine.
This week is my last week of school! I think its 4 more days!

Felt like it was yesterday that it was 50 more days! My favorite thing about summer..
Sleep
Ill almost go nocturnal during the summer too, which I know isnt good for me, but its fun. I need something better to do than to sit around playing games and stuff, but in Oklahoma, its all heck to get outside, cause it gets blazing hot. Im a winter person, I perfer it to be 30 degrees than 80 degrees.

Theperson98,
There is a good way to stop the rampaging dad - pick up the phone in another room & call the police. Don't ty to stop him physically, then you will become part of the problem whilst trying to be the solution. Don't think about what the family will do without his income if he goes to jail, or if he seeks revenge later - think rather that you are helping him as well as yourselves.
There are other jobs, others in the family to work, restraining orders if needs be ... try to get life straight for you, your mother & your brother. You should not live under a moody tyrant who bullies everyone. Someday he may do irreversible damage without meaning to.
That's my thoughts anyway. I hope it's good advice.

Stopping my dad physically would be stupid. I mean verbally. I love him and want to help him. This is a problem in his mind that causes this, its like a click. I dont want to rid him from my life. He has been doing good for the past month or two.
Police are last resort. Physical is that if HE starts hurting someone.
I have ways to escape if I have to, also. Im fine right now.

hahahaha... I was just having the best time of my life... I went to my control panal and I noticed that Inbox thingy... so I cheked it out... and it was empty... so what I did next was mail myself a bunch of jokes... and then I read them... I'm retarded I know... but it was funny as hell... muahahahahaah!
so yeah... I quit my job so I can go work at Pappasitos Restaurant... my frien Jose got me the job since he already worked there... it's going to be weird because I'm going to be a host and I'm not much of a people person... I'm more like anti social... but o well... it puts money on the table... right?

Yes, it does put money on the table Mazelure. And you may find that your new job gives you new "people skills" to incorporate into your life in other places. Many of us got to be more social that way.
I was quite shy and quiet when young and didn't like to talk to strangers or in public. But I got a job as a waitress and did that work for many years and now I know how to talk to many different kinds of people in different situations.
Look at it as a growing experience.

The person98: Even if it is only verbal and you think you got it under control it doesn't hurt to get outside help. If this thing is in his mind. as in an actual biological/chemical/ neurological issue, going to a proffesional could help control the outbursts. Just cause its biology does not man you have to live with it. and if you love him then you would want to help him. While hard it might require outside intervention to fix the issue.
as for the job and being shy, as Ibis has said you will learn and develop social skills with a job like that. Even doing Barista work I have become more social outside work from the social interactions I have to do while I am on the clock. It will be a good experience, let you explore a side of yourself you did not really know.

Today we got back the last three examns, norwegian, new-norwegian and english. The two norwegian exams went a little bad I think, my teacher says that it simply wasn't enough to get the grade I wanted but still both are pretty high above avarage and not anything to whine about

The english went very very well, got something pretty much equal to the american A

So even tho the math went decent the others went quite good - So tomorrow we will know what subject we get to have on the Final Examn Writing Style and the Final Examn in Speech we will get to know within a week or something...
In our music class we have a last project before we're off this school and that is to perform something: dance, singing all that. So I got together with some mates and we've planed either to make a very funny heavy death metal band called "Sort Grevling" Black Badger in norwegian and just sing like hell and have a great and fun time while looking all stupid. Our other plan is to perform Renegades of Funk, by Rage where I will play most of the guitar and sing

Congrats on your exams Fuzzy Knight!

I bet it's great to have something less on your mind...
And getting a grade equalling an American A is awesome. My ex girlfriend lived in the states (Seattle) for 6 years, where she went to university. She had straight A's in practically every class (a few B's).
When she got home to Norway and tried applying for jobs with her Amercican education, it turned out that she had to take some classes over again here before they got approved (I think this has changed now that they've started using bachelor and masters degrees in Norway). To her amazement she got medium grades, despite the fact that she had done this in the US recently, and she also thought that her exams were better here, since she had recently done them. So apparantly it is easier to get good grades in the US, or at least in Seattle (I think the university she attended was called North Western university or something).
Anyway, isn't it good to get New-Norwegian out of the way, knowing you'll never have to worry about it again?

Well, today I had a dispensing exam. Which was going fine - very fine, in fact, because I actually got some of the workstations right, and didn't kill any of my patients.
And then I did the last workstation... and actually forgot to dispense a product. As in, I didn't actually give anything out. I just forgot. I still have no idea how.
So, looks like I'll be re-sitting that one.
DarkHunter
May 17 2006, 12:29 AM
... didn't KILL any of your patients!?!? oh... simulation, right?
Ibis
May 17 2006, 12:49 AM
I think Foster is a pharmacy student, so a mistake on his part in his profession could indeed be fatal in real life. I would imagine that the exam was a simulation but we shall find out when he answers. I am interested in hearing about this.
Fuzzy, I am so happy for your that you didn't draw the math final exam question. Your attitude in dealing with math is making me think that I am going to follow my student advisor's advice and apply for the Computer Animation Bachelor's Degree over my original choiice which was Game Design, because that is the part that involves a lot of math - C++ and all that, I think.
Anyway, she says that I'm very creative and passionate about making games and she likes my artwork style and she thinks that I will be a natural for computer animation, which is also involved in game making. So, think I will listen to her ... and you. I don't want to find myself in the position of dreading my finals when I could be enjoying myself with art design.
Foster
May 17 2006, 12:57 AM
Yeah, it's a simulation. But most of the workstations are about spotting something potentially fatal. For example, one patient had COPD (irreversible breathing problems) and had been prescribed an eye drop that would have caused his lungs to constrict (I spotted it through a Theophylline/Timolol interaction, for those that are interested). That sort of thing. Last time out I accidentally prescribed (Pharmacists in the UK can prescribe, so there was a 'imagine you're the doctor' workshop) a...uhm...drug that makes you go pee-pee, to a patient that had gout. It would have resulted in severe pain. This time out it was just about PPIs in duodenal ulcer, so it wasn't so bad.
This time out I managed to avoid the obvious pitfalls, only to completely muck up the easiest workstation - one that, had I actually given the boxes out, would have netted me 10% of the exam.

Oooh yeah, it's that time of year again, isn't it? Time for that idiotic Grand Prix de la Chanson Eurovision, where you get to see all of Europe's worst in one big show. Granted, some people like it because they consider it craptacular (so bad it's funny) - I'm not one of them. I listen to all kinds of music really, but this? Blargh.
Of course, every year you get someone who just participates to irritate everyone else, and that's mildly amusing. This year it's
Lordi from Finland ("Hard Rock Hallelujah"). I don't know. I don' think I wanna suffer through all that crap just to see the annoyed faces of the crowd or hear someone comment on how this is an outrage.

Hehe.. Eurovision is a show filled with horrible, horrible music indeed. I like it when someone comes along every now and then to make it a bit interesting, like Finland this year.
Don't know if anyone remember Norway's contribution last year? They were called Wig Wam, and was a glam rock sort of band playing typical 80's music like Kiss/Bon Jovi etc. Quite fun... Old guys dressed in glam clothes with lots of 80's make-up...

Lordi has cleared its path to the Eurovision finals thus making history by being the first Finnish contestant who've made it that far. Also, they've now made me laugh out loud (for one reason or another; first time I saw them, their appearances in Athens, the "insult-exchange" with one of the other contestants to name a few things) for a total of eight times. Now that's an achievement. If they actually manage to win on Saturday I promise here and now that as soon as possible I'll get myself a Lordi avatar and stick with it at least 3 days.

Elvish... Well I just learned that the song is actually called "Alvedansen", which means 'Dance of the Elves'/'Elven Dance' or however it would translate to. I swear I didn't know this before I wrote the above, indicating that the song actually reflects what it is supposed to, I guess...
