I believe that it is impossible for me to dislike anything Whedon gets control over at this point. He is like Loki with that staff, but instead of being filled with the power of the Tesseract, I'm filled with enhanced love for the Geek Pantheon and Whedon's status as a high priest thereof, as well as a goodly portion of pure hate for those Abyss-cursed Demon worshipers over at Fox.
I lost my thrill for Whedon back before Buffy was even over. Five minutes into an episode, I could tell exactly what was going to happen, and how it would end. For a while it was only Alyson Hannigan that kept me watching, as I had a monster crush on her. It got to where I would tape the episodes without watching them, then watch only the parts with Alyson Hannigan, and fast forward through the rest. But eventually even she could not keep me watching it, and I just gave up completely.
I can still watch and enjoy some things that Whedon has done, like Alien Resurrection and Avengers. But it is not his writing that draws me, but rather the actors involved, like Sigourny Weaver, Ron Perlman (I will watch just about anything he is in, including movies about mutant monkey monsters), Chris Evans, etc...
