Hell yea! Some one has got good taste. SoaD is my fav band, 2nd is Rumstein.
Btw hows Mesmerize sounding, got Hypnotize and all the others except that one.
I listen to Rammestein some as well but I'm American and don't understand any of the words so I prefer SoaD, the beat is good to Rammestein's music but thats all I can judge it by so I don't play it too often.
Mezmerize was very good, the words and music are actually pretty hypnotizing as with their other cds, I thought that their music might kinda drop off after "toxicity" since an album like that is hard to beat (in my opinion) but after buying these cds I must say that I'm not dissapointed at all.
The only thing that I didn't like about mezmerize is that it was kinda short. You can check out some other reviews
here on Amazon just scroll down a little from the screen it takes you to and there's the reviews. Seems that most every SoaD fan liked Mezmerize and my personal opinion for another SoaD fan: get it.
You can also check out their main site to play two of their mezmerize songs, "Question!" and "Byob" both I thought were good and the others are good too.
Convenient link here.

So SRY. I have totally mixed things up. I have Mesmerize and not Hypnotize.
Sry about that but I do apritiate the effort.
I'm gonna get me Hypnotize as soon as I have enough cash.
I also have no clue what Rammestien is singing about but when you get the lirics some of it is pretty cool.
Thanks agian Klin.

Rammstein just doesn't do anything for me except make me push the off button on whatever audio device happens to be playing it.
Every song is repetitive, and mixes techno/electronica with metal in a way that just doesn't please me.
On a better note, I just learned that Queensryche came out with a sequel to their 1988 release of the album
Operation: Mindcrime this year. Believe it or not, it's called
Operation: Mindcrime II. (How clever) Anyway, I have high expectations for the album both musically and lyrically, since the first one told such an amazing story.
I'm a newbie to Queensryche, but I'm trying to get my status up to Supreme Fan.

At the moment I'm listning to Black Diamond Brigade, with Black Diamond. Playing the coverversion of the Kiss-classic «Black Diamond».
The band is built up by several artists... We have Torgny Amdam as the vocalist from the norweigan punk band Amulet. Backed up by the two guitarist Knut Schreiner and Sigurd Wongraven from the two norwegian bands Turboneger and Satyricon. Drums is Tarjei Strøm from Ralph Myerz & The Jack Herren Band, the bass is played by Billy Gould, from the american Faith No More.
Results of all of them is a good sharp and strong song with good tempo. Metal / Hardrock song

I wanted to say something, but in second thought I hold it back... not knowing what Stargel could do to me
Over here thought...
Been listning to some different stuff here... I've summoned into my playlist some good old songs by Foo Fighters. Along with some Queenryche, don't really think their music is that good thought - I like the rather fast moving stuff which I really notice when I listen to it, but then again, some of it it's pretty good. Also listning to some different Gluecifer songs...
But now... A good old, chill and funny song by Foo Fighters...

Let's see... the songs I got from my friend was:
• Take Hold of the Flame
• Eyes of a Strange
• Empire
• I Don't Believe in Love
• Walk in the Shadows
I wouldn't say any of them was fitting totally into my taste, good but not so fit for me. But I really loved Walk in the Shadows thought

I'd try the first few tracks on the first mindcrime album. They're actually my favorite.
Revolution Calling, Spreading the Disease, Speak, The Mission, etc.
Sidenote: I bought Mindcrime II the other day, and it was actually highly disappointing, but still alright. I think it's quite obvious that Degarmo left the band.

It was only disappointing for me because I was pretty much expecting the same '80s metal style and didn't get it. I got a more modern subgenre of rock that I can't put my finger on. I've still been listening to it though; sometimes things like this have to grow on you.

I gotta give a head's up to some sweet Canadian music. So right now I'm giving props to Strapping Young Lad, an industrial/thrash metal band based in BC. Anything from the two albums I have by them, City, and Alien, are insane! If you're really into heavy double bass drumming, you'll definately like this. I'd suggest listening to AAA off the City album, and Love? off the Alien album. Can't wait for 'The New Black' to come out next month.

Riders on the Storm ... Doors.

That is my all time favorite Doors track. I hadn't heard much the Doors before I saw the Oliver Stone movie. That was one great movie! It got me hooked on their music (and fascinated by Jim Morrison, for that matter).
I'm a bit surprised to see so many of the young ones here listening to Iron Maiden, Queensryche, AC/DC etc. btw. Those were big when I was a kid! (and that is a looooong time ago, at least physically...

). But then again I was equally surprised 3 years ago when I watched my nephew play a skateboard game on some console, where the general theme music was olden rock'n'roll goldies by AC/DC, Iron Maiden etc. He was a big Maiden fan at the time, btw (he was 16).
Anyway I'm still preparing for the Roger Waters in town next week, so I'm listening to Pink Floyd. No music I've ever heard since Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall have ever reached that level of perfection for me, although Marillion came close when Fish was still the singer.

Just because it's old doesn't mean it's bad. I'm a huge Judas Priest fan myself. Then I also enjoy the 80s thrash still, like Anthrax and Megadeth. But then I'm into more current stuff as well, like Kanye West, or Three Days Grace (another awesome Canadian band). I just enjoy a lot of different genre of rock for the most part. But then there's guilty pleasures like the Beastie Boys or K-Os.

And unless I've misunderstood (which is certainly not the first time), it's tomorrow from today (actually it's still the day after tomorrow for me, since I've just returned from town at 5 am). And it isn't a Pink Floyd concert, but a concert with Roger Waters, which admittedly has said that he's going to perform a lot of Pink Floyd songs, so I guess it's correct anyway, since Roger Waters is the 'true' mind behind Pink Floyd.
Going to miss David Gilmour's guitar solos and vocals though, but I've heard that Mr. Waters have brought with him some excellent musicians that handles the job quite good.
Either way, I'm truly looking forward to that concert!
