Endris - Morvayn Manor

Endris glared at Anthanes. How could anyone know so little about the workings of the Morag Tong? Then again Endris had been working there for some years now... "The GrandMaster of the Morag Tong," he replied.

Anthanes at Morvayn Manor

"His name? Current residence? Any possible places? Hideouts maybe? Any subtle ways to get in there?"

Ald'Ruhn, lurking outside Morvayn Manor

Arneth overheard the conversation taking place with the assassin, a Morag Tong member was sent to assassinate Serene but why he thought. Arneth closed his eyes, he had been Guildmaster of the Fighter's Guild a long time but why would they have a writ on such a great hero? Arneth thought hard. He thought it could be best to enter the manor.

Arneth grabbed the window frame before gently leaping in before stopping on the edge.

"I see you have some problems here, old friends..." Arneth said with a warm smile before looking down on the assassin with not such a warm smile...

Endris - Morvayn Manor

"His name doesn't matter, but if you would like to go see him, you should go visit the Morag Tong in Vivec seeing as he is the Grandmaster and all. That's all I can tell you, and that's as much as any civilian would know anyway," Endris answered.

The man coming through the window was the last straw.

"Okay, okay okay!" En'Fel interrupted. "Now everybody stop, just stop talking. Let me sort things out here."

He looked across the room, from the big brute that was interrogating the assassin to the man in the window.

"Okay, everybody, first of all, I am En'Fel, nice to meet you all. Secondly, tell me what happened to my compatriots that were guarding this assassin here! I'm looking at you!" he gave a hard look at Athanes. "Did you kill them?"

"And just why would the Grandmaster of Morag Tong send out a writ to kill one of the saviors of Morrowind?" Arneth questioned the assassin holding his hand over his sword ready of the assassin was going to try anything...

Serene, Morvayn Manor Ald´ruhn

Serene stood quite still, slowly turning towards Endris, she stretched out her left hand, a blue swirl of magicka was visible in her open palm.......it swirled and engulfed Endris...then she spoke in a dark voice

"You are going to tell me who wants me dead......."


(OOC: a "truth-telling-spell" today we´ll use scopolamin instead"

Endris watched as the spell covered him, he felt different but he really didn't know who wanted Serene dead. He looked into her eyes and said slowly "I don't know. They don't tell the assassins who they are killing the person for, all they tell us is who we are after and where they are. My guess is one of the higher-ups from Telvanni or Hlaalu seeing as you are sided with Redoran."

OOC: bit rusty on morag tong lore, if any of this is wrong, tell me.

Megil- Fall of Justice,New Vivec

Megil was awoken by a knock at the door, he looked around Darus, was nowhere in site. Perhaps he had gone to get some rest, or to do some task.
Megil cleared his throat.

"Come in,"

The two messengers came in, one carrying a package, which he lay down on Megil's desk. the second awaited for the first mesenger to leave before delivering his message.

"Sir, the man ha been apprehended. A man wearing a golden mask awaits for you in the lobby wishing to discuss his fees."

Megil nodded, he dismissed the messenger, he opened the package, it was a bottle of the finest cyrodilic brandy and a note. Megil read the note from Falx.

"I'll sort with this when I get back," he said to himself.

He found the man in the lobby,

"Well good to see you have apprehended the man, now then what's your price."

(OOC: Doesn't look like Megil is on the forum, or something - I'll just post and edit if needed)

Arneth went down from the window into the manor, looking down at the assassin. He didn't trust the assassin, thought he was speaking the truth he was still a danger...

"Telvanni or Hlaalu... Would hand out a writ on Serene because she's on the Redoran, looks the War of Houses truly have started" Arneth said, with this attack on Serene, and if it was one of the Houses then it wasn't good. If it would go any futher they were looking at a new threat to Morrowind and their people...

Lykaon's grin wasn't visible through his helmet's golden visage, but the way he stood was smug enough to tell that he was grinning. "Nine Thousand," he said. "Three thousand of that in Hlaalens, another three grand in Ruhns, and the last three in Telvaanics."

Megil- Hall of Justice, New Vivec

"Fair enough," Megil said. he walked over to one of the treasurer's.

"See that this man get's 3,000 hlaalens; 3,000 telvannics; and 3,000 rhuns."

The treasurer nodded, and immediately bgan filling out the appropriate forms. After a few minutes.

"Name?" she asked.

"Lykaon," he replied.

"Very well," she said as she wrote it down on a form, she signed the bottom of the form.

"Take this form to the Vivec mint, they will get you your gold"

Megil turned his attention to the prisoner,

"Take him to the prison," he told the ordinators, he followed close behind. he was to question the man and decide his fate.

The handcuffed Ced was pushed to his knees in the prison cell by one of the ordinators.

The ordinator turned around and moved so as too let Megil enter the cell.

Darus
Prison
New Vivec

Darus had been with the Ordinators in the prison, he had gotten a few hours of sleep until being woken and asked to help escort the prisoner. They closed the door on the prisoner, and Darus said bluntly "If you try anything, we're sending you to Akavir on a boat all by yourself".

Ced spit at Darus, leaning back against the cell wall and staring angrily at Megil and Darus.

"I don't care."

Megil-Prison, New Vivec

Megil remained calm with the prisoner.

"Why did you kill those 19 Ordinators?"

Ced smirked.

"The answer isn't obvious? Wow, you are as stupid I expected." Ced paused and stretched his legs.

"Well, I had to escape didn't I?"

Lykaon
Vivec Mint

Lykaon, after taking the form had immediatly headed to the mint, keen on getting his not-so-hard earned cash. The process was quick and smooth, and Lykaon was 3,000 the richer in each of the three currencies. "Easy money," he commented as he walked out of the mint.

Murmandamus
Murmandamus had entered behind the man now identified as Lykaon. He spoke to Megil. "Sir, despite the fact that he brutally murdered 19 men to escape, this man seemed awfully eager to be captured again. I suggest we keep a much closer eye on him this time"

Jonacin
Jonacin watched as Endris was interrogated by the others. "Enough. This man obviously isn't high enough in the Tong to know who wants Serene dead. We gain nothing from this"

Serene Morvayn Manor ald ruhn

"Give me the writ" she snapped at Endris, "that´s the least you can do" She continued staring at him, eyes dark with anger and fear

Megil looked at the man,

"Hmm as expected," he turned to the guards,

"Execute him"

"Sir, I must say, he may be very skilled in melee. I say we dig a nice pit, put him in it, and fill him full of arrows. Or, ofcourse, we could do it together as a nice excersize" Darus didn't smile at the end of the sentence, but said it as a serious suggestion.

"Shakur, I'm so happy we can finally live without other families around our house. It could get loud and hard to cook sometimes you know" Heldvild said, very relieved now that the refugees were in New Vivec. "I know it could get loud, and since I help with the cooking, I understand that too" Shakur said, sitting in his favourite chair, or as some people call his throne, sipping on some brandy. A knock was heard at the door. "Come in" Is what Shakur answered to the knocking. An Imperial walked in, followed by five others. "Sir, we are of the Legion, or what it was. We have been chased from our homes, and request your help" said the first Imperial to enter. "Hatred has driven my people from their origins, and the same has happened to you all. You are welcome to stay in the houses of Mortanhues Frewyatis, who has made the travel to Vivec and has no one waiting to take his house. It will fit all of you and possibly your families. Welcome to Bitter-Wood" Shakur said, getting up out of his chair and bowing politely.

Ced sighed, and closed his eyes.

"Yes, kill me." he said angrily.

"It'll do you a lot of good. However Megil, you're probably not so innocent yourself. Ever killed another man before?"

(OOC: sorry red, I have to go now. I won't be back for a liitle while.)

"Since when did I start doing you any favors?" Endris stared back at her intimidatingly. He paused, "It's useless information anyway," he stood up abruptly, making almost everyone in the room jump. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a scrolled piece of fine parchment and rudely tossed it at Serene. It was no more than excusing the holder of the parchment for the murder of Serene.... "Like I said, the only person that knows who wants you dead is En--eh, the Guildmaster. And the only people that can even get close to him are members of the guild." Damnit, almost said his name.

Serene Morvayn Manor

Serene took up the parchment, watching it thoroughly, ..then said with a cold smile:

"Well I know that man, the grandmaster, don´t worry if you say nayt,,,I know who to ask"

She turned around, taking a mug of brandy from the table and downed it in one gulp

then she walked out of the room...........hiding her face from them all...

En'Fel received his answer from Anthanes because this narrator assumes anthanes answered it with something that would aappease him somwhere in the middle of all this conversing.

He turneds to see Serene leave. Without saying a word, he followed her out.

Serene noticed the ashlander following her but did not care......she was too upset that someone put the Morag Tong on her.

Then she stopped, suddenly she turned to En´fel, tears of anger running down her face:

"Take me with you, when yopu go back, If morag tong is after me they won´t give up, and I´ll be a danger for Jonacin and the girls....I can´t have that..please hide me!"

Endris heard Serene talking to the ashlander and crying. He looked down at his feet and thought for a moment. Sometimes this job can be so hard....*sigh* I'm going to regret this.... Endris marched out after Serene ignoring the threatening looks from everyone else, and said to her, "Serene, give me the writ. I'll tell the guild that I killed you, then I get my money, you get your safety and we're both happy."

En'Fel
Morvayn Manor

Before he could even speak he was presented with her plea. it was... almost better this way. He could repay his life debt to Akar, but tell her he would only reunite them if she got Urshilaku and Ahemussa to agree to support Zainab. It was a perfect plan, as long as she survived where he was going...

He leaned close to her, and lowered his head next to her ear so she could hear the whisper, "Erabeninsum," he said.

Anthanes- Morvayn Manor

To En'fel's question, Anthanes had replied: "They're alive but chased out of town by guards."

Anthanes smirked as he looked at Endris.

"How about this... You tell me where this Guildmaster is and I will allow you to carry on with your miserable life."

Endris turned to Anthanes and his face darkened. "I can't do that," he stated flatly.

Anthanes- Ald'ruhn - Morvayn Manor

Anthanes put Fearstruck at Endris' throat and smiled.

"Oh no?"

En'Fel's sword was out at a second and pointed in Athane's direction, granted he was a little far from him, "There will be none of that, calm your self, and let me get it through your thick skull. Are you aware of the word, how do your people put it, untouchable? You want to just run around with a name and... and hunt..." En'Fel trailed off for a second, in realization that still had the name Melkaan Uvirith burned into his mind. "Well, let me jsut say there is more than one way to skin a guar, let him have the writ."

Endris brought his knee up into Anthanes groin and took a few steps back. "That's for earlier!" he said smiling. Endris kept his hand on a small dagger in one of his trouser pockets, feeling that things might erupt into violence.

Serene, Morvayn Manor between Endris and Anthanes

She held the writ.....not exactly knowing who should get it.......she´d rather kept it herself but she knew that without it Endris would not be safe..now that really didn´t bother her at the moment,..but still

Anthanes- Ald'ruhn- Morvayn Manor

Anthanes ignored En'fel. Just then, the kick caught him. He came up with a forced smile.

"Son of a guar. Now tell me, will you lead me...and, eh, anyone else who wants to come...to this grandmaster or will you rather get a very close look at the end of this sword? Take your time."

En'Fel's hands twitched. He couldn't control it anymore, the yearning he had to just reach out and grab the oaf by the throat and turn him into an icecube. This was not his fight though, everything he could accomplish to save the Zainab could be stopped by this stupid arrogant jerk in front of him.

"Assasin! Oaf! The two of you will back away from each other now!" it wouldn't work, he had to think fast. He tried his best to send Serene a message in his mind, Don't worry.

With that, he spun himself around, and since he was rather close to her any way, it was a fast movement. He moved his sword against her neck and grabbed for her shoulder. "Now then, the two of you will stop this, or I'll slay her and burn the writ!" he pivoted himself around so that he could use her as a body shield against Athanes. No sudden movements and we'll be on our way, he thought.

"Well, Anthanes, that's a very nice looking sword you have there, what do ya say we have a closer look at that?" Endris retorted arrogantly. His grip on the dagger in his pocket tightened, he got ready to draw it.

"You'd not do that..." , Anthanes said to En'fel with a smirk. The Archbattlemage whispered something in daedric. "v'laash verimae athora." He then spoke in a (to Endris) very friendly and persuasive voice: "Isn't it a fair bargain...? This knowledge for your life? And if it is satisfactory, there might be monetary rewards for you, too..."

[ooc: the joys of charm person]

The speaking daedric frightened En'Fel. He realized then he was palying with a shark, and what was worth, a shark blinded by arrogance. "You, assassin, I will give you the writ, and you will run. Serene, you will come with me. You, you will everyone I took her, and not to follow me. Don't do something stupid, if you speak that tongue again, I will slay her before you can finish the word."

He reached into Serene's pocket and got out the writ, his hand was out, with his other still holding his blade to Serene's neck. He motioned it toward Endris.

Endris dashed towards En'Fel, grabbed the writ from his hand, and ran towards the door. He was going to head out of town, figuring the Anthanes may try to follow him. "Till we meet again, Ashlander. I owe you"

Anthanes-Ald'Ruhn-Morvayn Manor

"What in the voidstreams were you doing, arrogant block-headed guar raping sackless <the list of insults continues on for some time> fool?!"

En'Fel
Ald-ruhn

Once the writ was out of his hand, he grabbed Serene by the shoulder and began back-pacing them both out. You may feel a slight child, he thought to her, and continued to back up slowly, although now his free hand was emitting a strange sort of fog, and the edge of her coat (or whatever she's wearing) began to frost over.

"You know what that means don't you? It means I'm less than a split second away from killing her, with either arm. She'll be safe where she's going, don't worry about that. You can meet her at... Ahemussa."

With that, he quickened his pace backwards, out of the area, out of Ald-ruhn.

Somewhere between Ald-ruhn and Maar gan

"We're going to meet your son in Erabeninsum, but first I want you to do something for me," he told her.

With Cal's last question, Kiln felt emotionless. He wasn't sure why exactly he hadn't went to the houses, something just felt wrong about doing that. He thought of the best answer he could give. When he first joined the legion he would've given some brainwashed answer like Honor, duty, and the will to continue but not now.

"The reason I didn't join with the houses? Well, the legion has become my family and you just don't leave family." Kiln said seriously as he stared at the table

After a moment he looked up from the table and at Cal.

"Well, the main camps haven't sent any word to me and my men for some time now so I fear the worst has become of the camps." Kiln said

Kiln realised what he'd just said, he'd told him that he was an officer and that there were other legion soldiers. What if he was a house spy? Kiln was worried once again.

He quickly ate the bread, he was definately hungry which, if this boy was a spy could signal that they were low on supplies and now that Kiln had told him there were others he began to worry even more.

Forget it Kiln, you're just paranoid.

Am I? Maybe my recent decisions have been wrong. Perhaps my faith has been ill placed with these men.

He sat at the table arguing with himself but trying not to show it.

"That scrib-sucking guar lover..." , Anthanes muttered. He then proceeded to chant a bit. "Arthano v'laash vehk!"

The half-dunmer dissappeared to appear a moment later outside of Vivec.

Megil- Prison, New Vivec

Megil's back was to the prisoner.

"Yes, I have, but it was an accident."

The memory of Niran's death came rushing back into Megil's head. for 5 years he ahd tried to drive it out of his memory, he had suceeded for the most part, but on quiet nights it would sometimes show itself again.

Anger and remorse rose up in Megil, setting loose a spark that had for 5 years remained docile. madness momentarily flared.

"Kill him...slowly"

Megil said leaving with Darus, the door shuting behind him. he began to walk out, his boots resounding on the stone. Megil was silent.

Guards- Ced's Cell, New Vivec

The ordinators looked at each other in confusion at first, never had their leader been so brutal. But they were not about to disobey his orders. They began to feel hatred for this man, who had killed 19 other ordinator's some of which were their friends.

They grabbed Ced and slammed him down onto a stone table, they tied him down to it. then one left to return with a case, that contained a very wicked looking blade. An ancient sylph artifact, an enchantedblade designed skillfully to be the perfect torture weapon.

they then began to torture Ced.

Ced couldn't hold back his reaction as Megil walked away.

"Come back you coward! Come back!'

Then they forced him down onto a strange stone table.

He felt the blade meet his skin, as he screamed after Megil.

"Accident! Ha! You're just running away from it! Running away!" Then he could speak no more for the pain overtook him.

Akar, Outskirts of Al'ruhn.

Akar looked to his companions, of which he didn't know the names of.

"So, what now? Wait for En'fel?" Akar asked.

"No." one of them answered. "We will meet him in the Erabenimsun camp."

Akar shrugged and fell in line, feeling even more out of place without En'fel.
