Val stormed through the crumbling archway of the barracks, competely ignoring anything the half-elf might have said.
Lifting his head, he caught sight of a figure standing before him. He reached for the handle of his katana.
"Who in Oblivion are you?"
OOC: sorry chaos, had to continue without you
Darus followed Megil closely, he also had two Ordinators come with him. He looked at Megil and said simply "I and going to use his skin as a nice set of coasters".
Shakur
Shakur watched as the refugees went about there lives from his house, which also served as the council house, though it looked much like a temple. Large, stone bricks where the main building material of the city, though wood made up many roofs and other parts of the architecture. "Can I get you anything Hubbie? Maybe a drink?" said Heldvild, Shakur's wife. Shakur removed his large headress which looked like a shield with two eye holes, a mouth hole and a curved indent more than a sign of power, and then said "All I need is a reply from Megil, We need a place for about eighty of our refugees to live. We can't keep them in two family houses for ever". Heldvild smiled, she loved how caring Shakur was. "Shakur, some times you seem like too good a leader. For Mara's sake, you sleep on this balcony so the two other families in this house have more room" Shakur chuckled, and simply replied "I may be caring, but I have a theory that suggests you make the day shine".

The worries of being caught washed over Kiln as he stared at the man in front of him.
He pulled back part of his robe, showing his blade to the man.
"I don't want any trouble." He said softly as he continued to look at the man
Kiln knew that with all the people that had sighted him lately this man probably knew who he was but if he did not then he would just go about his business.

This man...
Val did not release his blade. The dunmer in front of him may have claimed he wasn't looking for a fight. But Val had been through too much to simply take his word for it.
But still...
I've seen him before. I know it.
Val straightened, and finally removed his hand from the handle.
"Tell me stranger. What are you doing here?"
Kiln
Sep 2 2005, 12:59 AM
Kiln thought for a moment about telling him the truth but decided better of it and conjured up the most convincing lie he could think of.
"Just trying to find a few things to sell in town...so I can feed my family." Kiln said
Well, the legion is somewhat like my family...
Kiln removed his hand from his blade but carefully watched this man. Kiln had grown into the habit of not trusting anyone in the past few years and this man was no different.
"I assume that you were trying to find something here as well?" Kiln asked him

So he's a looter. Come on dammit I know I've seen him before.
Val did not move, but he was still ready for trouble.
"In a sense. You may be looking for a means to feed your family, but I'm looking for my family itself."
Maybe I can stall him, just for until I remember where I saw him.
Looking into his eyes, he felt something stir in the back of his head. A memory trying to surface.
"You have an authoritive look in your eyes. That look that tells people you won't back out of duty."
Val straightened. Perhaps just a bit, he felt a certain trust about this Dunmer.
"I used to know many people with that look..."

Kiln felt a certain calm come over him as he stood there. He stepped closer to the man and looked around behind him and to his sides. This man was either hinting that he was legion or was insane.
"I'm going to ask you this once, and only once...are you legion? Either that or a fool to even speak with me. What is it?" Kiln said harshly
After a few seconds Kiln said,
"Listen, what I need to know most is..." Kiln leaned closer
"Are you the messenger we've been waiting for?"
Kiln hoped this man was legion with all that he'd revealed or else he'd have to kill him for the sake of his men.

Val stiffened and with wde eyes dropped to one knee. His fist over his heart. He remembered, the memory surfaced. This dunmer was an officer in the legion, and a high ranking one at that.
"Sir! I would ask you to forgive my demeanor. I am Val-Jeer, recruit of the Moonmoth Garrison. My loyalty is to my gods and emporer."

Kiln was glad to have found someone in the legion, he'd only seen his men for the past few months since the messenger had stopped coming.
"There is no need for all that at the moment...no saluting or taking a knee...I need to know if you're the messenger from Ald Ruhn" Kiln said grabbing the man and forcing him to his feet, it seemed that he wanted to stay on his knee though

Delfran sheithed his sword and went back to Stauros, "I found him, you were right he is in this abandonded fort, only he has another person with him and they are talking."
"good job lets interupt the little chat and see how this "slave" killed one of my guards."

En'Fel watched as his compatriots grabbed their weapons and packed their bags. He was not surprised to see Akar approach him, as he hadn't said a word to him yesterday after the incident. He looked at the traveller, straight in the eyes, and decided he was worth an introduction, at least.
"Alright, traveller," he said. Had the man not saved his life he would have simply called him half-breed. "My name is En'Fel. That one over there with the spikey hair is Anhasou, that large one is Hel'Tic, the young one is Ganfi and the girl Sounigo. No need learning our family names."
At this point, En'Fel corrected his posture and stood taller than any other dunmer with him. Over the course of the last sentence, he had moved closer to the traveller. "We came from Zainab to unite the Ashlanders," his voice lowered to a whiper, right over the traveller's face, "You may have heard from earlier, but the Telvanni, they are trying to destroy our kind."
"Is that everything?" he turned and asked Anhasou.
"Yes, everyone is ready."
"Good, then, friend," he turned back to Akar, "Tell me, do you know anything about Ahemussa tribe? They are in hiding, but we've searched from the mountain ridges in the west to the coast in the east, from the coast in the north to the edge of the grazelands in the south. Every single cave, or tomb, is unoccupied, at least not by Ahemussa. Do you have any idea where they might be?"

"And my friend here is no slave, so I suggest you withdraw your insults." Kiln snapped at the man with a glare

"What is it?" Anhasou asked.
"The islands North of the Coast, the Archipeligo! They must be on one of those islands!"
"Oh good, you finally have it," commented Ganfi.
"Alright, we move out now. Sounigo, look at the map, tell me which islands are significant, we'll split up and search each, we search until dusk, and if we find nothing we'll head West for Urshilaku."
"Well, we needn't go that far, if they're on the Coast I know which island. Ald Daedroth," Sounigo put in.
"Then that will be the first island we check. Out we go!" he declared, and they were off along to road toward the abandoned Ahemussa camp. From there they headed North toward the Coast.
"So," En'Fel asked somewhere between Ahemussa Camp and the Coast, "Traveller, why are you here?" Hel'Tic gave a nasty look. En'Fel, however, felt like it would be worth making friends with an able fighter, especially one who at least proved he wasn't working for Telvanni. En'Fel wasn't convinced of anything else, but he decided the best way to figure out how far he could trust him was to get to know him.

Kiln was confused, was this man a politician? It didn't matter, Kiln responded in his usual manor, first with silence and then talking when he got good and ready.
He wished he'd known that this argonian was acting as a slave before he'd made his previous statement.
"This man is a slave, but no more than you or I. And so far as tables and food go, the tables are ash if you'd like to go inside and have a seat and I haven't had any food on me in days so it will be a bit hard to have a discussion over a meal." Kiln said in his usual unfriendly tone

Val could hardly say no to a meal in his current state. But he wasn't ready to trust these two. The calm one especially. He knew his type. His smooth movement and calmness to his voice betryed him. This man was trained to kill, and was good at it.
And, despite his constant refernces to Val as a "slave", there was a certain cautiousness to his eyes. He seemed to be someone who would never underestimate an opponent.
Val looked at his feet. Should he have looked up, the man would have noticed him studying the crumbling arc above him. Val already knew it was crumbling, he just needed to know if the two were under it.
Indeed they were.
Good, I have an advantage should I need it

He looked at the argonian and made a quick hand motion before whispering to him.
"We'll see what they want, I won't risk killing them so close to our base." Kiln hoped the man would stay quiet when he found out about the base nearby
Kiln entered the ruins of the fort and sat down at what was left of the barracks, there was one table standing, unscarred. He lit a torch and hung it in it's place on the wall near the table.

"The legion basically fell apart after the houses used them to defend themselves. They were unneeded by the houses and so they took the legion officers prisoner and killed all who did not surrender. We were allowed to continue in peace with the towns for some time before our ranking officers began to charge rediculous taxes on the people and eventually they rebelled, of course that was before they killed our men and such." Kiln said in his calm voice
He took from the table, his share of the bread and put it in his rucksack to take back to his men.

En'Fel
En'Fel stared at Akar's hand as they walked. The coast was right in front of them. They could even see the many islands ahead. En'Fel eventually lifted his gaze from Akar's hand and focused on the Sea ahead, trying to keep an eye out of Ald Daedroth.
"Sounigo," he said back, "How sure are you that they're in Ald Daedroth?"
"None of the other islands are habitable unless you go west to Rotheran and Dagon Fel, but they're populated, Ahemussa wouldn't be there, they'd be at Ald Daedroth. In fact, they could have been at Ald Daedroth for years now. Who knows, they're an easily frightened people."
"Alright," En'Fel said once they reached the coast. "We swim. Weapons out to kill the sea creatures."
So they swam, and aside from a small dreugh there was no problem. Once they got close enough, they saw the structures of Ald Daedroth ahead of them, and even more so they saw Ahemussa ashlanders wandering around the outside. En'Fel felt like he could just blow away when he saw the first. Finally! he though to himself and quickened his pace.
By the time they reached the Island, several Ashlanders were at the shore to greet them with spears.
"Who are you? What do you want!" yelled a male Ashlander. That is, before he saw Arak's eyes. En'Fel noticed a tone of realization in the Ashlander at sight of Arak, and at his command they put their spears down. When En'Fel and the others reached the shore, he instantly kneeled and rested his sword on the ground. The others followed in suit, aside from Hel'Tic, who held his glass-axe (which he looted from the dead battlemage) about his shoulder.
"I am En'Fel from Zainab. We come in urgency need and wish to speak with your Ashkahn."
"You will speak to me," said the Ahemussa ashlander. He turned to Arak, "You look familiar, do I know you from somewhere? Does the name Sedrane Mirpal mean anything to you?"

"Did you know they are trying to exterminate us?"
Sedrane looked highly annoyed, more interested in Akar than En'Fel. "No, we did not, but we know they moved in our camp about two weeks ago. We were already gone."
"How long have you been here?" En'Fel asked before Sedrane could continue his conversation with Akar.
"That's not your business," Sedrane answered.

En'Fel was caught off guard. He stared at Sedrane, trying to formulate his words without sounding foolish. Anything he said would bounce off Sedrane, so it was futile. "We need help."
"Help to do what?"
En'Fel sighed, "May I please speak with your ashkhan?" he asked.
"We have no ashkhan, you can speak to me, or you can leave," Sedrane said. There was a slight pause, "Now, help with what?"
"We need support for our war efforts," En'Fel put at last, "Food, supplies, medicine... warriors--"
"No," Sedrane said.
"Will you ignore the plight of the Ashlanders?!" En'Fel asked in an angrier tone.
"The plight of Zainab! We are thinking about what is best for Ahemussa, and that is not best for Zainab!"
"And what will you do when the Telvanni discover you? Will you hide within your shrine and regret ignoring us?"

"I can't help but wonder why you are so interested in me." Akar said. "I'm not used to interest that isn't hand in hand with cintempt."
Sedrane laughed at that. "You look like someone I met years ago..." he said, getting a glazed look in his eyes.
"May I ask who?" Akar asked.
"An old friend." Sedrane replied vaguely.
"You know they are right." he said, changing the subject.
"Who? Oh, your companions. The Ahemussa has no business with the Zainab, and nothing you say will change that." Sedrane said flatly.
Akar stayed silent for a second before deciding that he had already been here too long. "Obviously you guessed my intent, and you aren't interested in my proposal, so it's past time I leave." he said, walking out of the shrine, muttering something about how stupid the ashlanders could be. "Well well, it seems the security systems work. Tis good." Falx mumbled incoherently as he walked down the wooden steps.
"Abulard! Whenever this problem is over, do me a favor and run this package down to Office of Lord Megil. If possible say it's from an old friend."
In the package was a bottle of vintage cyrodillic brandy, from well before the isolation of Vvardenfell, the best of the best. A note was also sealed with it...."
Dear Lord Megil,
Though you and I haven't known each other all to well, I do believe we each know more then we'd like to admit of the others. You are the Hero of Vivec, I, unbeknowist the population, could be labelled as the Scourge of Vivec.
My past crimes leave a foul taste in my mouth, something unsavoury. My deeds are those I am not proud of.
Recently though words of my past have been spreading through the community, not as much as my dance with evil, but more so of the Legion. As you more then likely you know, I was once a Captain in the legion, a mighty warrior I might add. The current state of affairs reguarding my brethren has been not the best.
As much as I would like to plead for your support in the ending of their torture, it has come to my attention that matters affecting the security of New Vivec might be at stake. If you deem my words worthy please enterain(OMG) me with your presence.
Signed,
Captain Falx Albarnias
Knight Errant of the Dragon Riders
"Hmm, that should do.." Falx sealed the letter and added it to package. "Abulard, the package is ready, run it whenever the lock down is over?"

"Oh, it looks like someone is here.. Fun fun fun.", Cal thought as he approached Fort Moonmoth. He stepped carefully inside, and looked around. "As dirty as it ever was. A tad more now, though.", Cal thought, and smirked.
"Oh.. I'm so tired.. I guess I'll take a nap.", Cal said out loud, and found a piece of wall that were still standing, and sat down, and leant onto it. He closed his eyes, and waited for someone to respond.
Lykaon wondered through New Vivec, he had headed to it some time ago, having collected his payment in the Eight Plates, then ate his meal in his room and rested before heading here. The populace seemed startled now, however. Apparently the gates were closed now, and the guards were looking for someone. His interest piqued at the prospect of a job, and hunt he headed towards the Halls of Justice. Upon arriving, he requested a audience with 'Lord Megil', to offer his services in finding and apprehending the man.
For a price, of course, Lykaon reflected, grinning wryly beneath his helmet.

Stauros saw the soldier took some food and he noddded
"Ah I see that makes sence. That somewhat is similar to what the boss told us, but more mellow. Rouges?! I thought that they are all honest! ONe more question and I must be off, or else my leaders will get suspisious. Why did they raise taxes in the first place? Didn't they have enough gold?"
"The legion is...er...well...was like any other faction, it had its undesirables, corruption and inner conflict...mostly within the important and high ranking people. The legion had its own problems with all that stuff happening in the Imperial city, the taxes had to be raised to try and restore order to the way of life." Kiln said and paused for a moment to let this man absorb what he'd said
"The blockade kept the mainland from sending messages to us so our generals and commanders. They didn't know what taxes to charge so they started to charge people the taxes they felt were right, ridiculous taxes of not only money but food and supplies as well. Obviously the citizens of Vvardenfell had other ideas though and since the legion is concentrating on their own problems, they're not going to do anything about the problems in Morrowind." Kiln said
Perhaps I'll end up meeting with this man again...I have this feeling...Kiln drank from the flin and put the remains of the bottle and a few others into his pack, not caring if he seemed greedy. He heard a noise outside.
"What the hell? I knew it...Val, watch them." Kiln said storming off to the door expecting that the noble had brought house guards with him
Kiln slammed the door open and looked around, seeing the boy from earlier sitting just outside.
"What are you doing here?" Kiln said angrily

Serene went to the kitchen..and back again..she could not just sit ther....the uneasy feeling grew stronger but she tried to conceal it.
So finally she went and sat beside Jonacin......she always felt at ease being close to him.......and waited for Sel and Konrad to tell their stories
"I wonder why I have the feeling someone or something is after me?

Eberron
Vvardenfell
Red Mountains, near Maar Gan
Eberron had just pasted Maar Gan a little while ago, he managed to get some drink and food but not for money thought. He had regained some strength and went for Ald'Ruhn. He still thought of the last time he met Arneth, he had just been in a battle in Ald'Ruhn and met some new 'friends' that actually saved Morrowind if not the whole Tamriel from a evil wizard, that story he had already heard alot about. Thought he didn't quite remember the names of his friends he thought they might know something...
Coming over the little hill-top, Eberron watched down at the city of Ald'Ruhn. He was facinated by the Redoran Houses and their buildings, he gave of a little smile in the hope of finding the first clue where Arneth was as he gently walked down the hill against the Ald'Ruhn City Gates. Coming in with out any knowledge about who he was really looking for, Eberron went into the nearby tavern, Rat in the Pot. Entering he walked straight up and sat down and ordering some drink. Knowing how much septims he actually might need he handed out a Silver Dagger for the drinks, it was clearly enough and Eberron had a few of them anyway.
As he drank he suddently remembered something, he remembered Arneth talking about a powerful Redguard warrior, Spirit Sword.
Was it Jonacin...?
He scratched his chin in the thought. With nothing to loose he asked if they bartender would know anything about Jonacin, apparently Jonacin lived in Ald'Ruh with his wife Serene in Morvayn(sp?) Manor. Eberron took the last sip before going out and searched for the manor hoping the best that they might know anything of where Arneth could be. Thought they really wasn't close at all.
Maybe they dont know anything at all...
Arneth
Vvardenfell
Unknown Cave, near the city Khuul
Arneth leaned over the map on the table with some other of his close friends. Arneth blinked his eyes and scratched the back of his head as he looked over the map and marked the Legion's known positions outside the coasts of Vvardenfell...
"We managed to get some out, I still dont know if you want to take my choice - but I'm staying here" Arneth said to the group slaming his fist into the table, knowing the Legion's blockade around Vvardenfell was hard to get through...
"In my opinion Master Arneth, we are to few to take such a risk again. We managed to get some of the Fighter's Guild and Mage's Guild members out of here before their blockade was complete. Even they had hard encounters" Malgurion said, the Redguard who had been following Arneth alot over his years in Vvardenfell.
"Yes. It's getting harder and harder to get out, and with the Dunmer's turning against the Legion we cant risk another ambush trying to escape. We lost to many people on the way here" Arneth replied, he could clearly remember a few days ago when they had just sent of a ship from the West Coast and were heading back to their headquarters when they were ambushed by around fifty Dunmer's, the volley of arrows and arcance spells took many of them with their pants down, killing many.
"There's little we can do thought, the Houses are still not at war but it might only be a matter of time and I doubt they want us as enemies" Malgurion said, as he was pointing out the three Houses areas on the map.
"Little? No, I already have a plan. Its not a real plan, but we should go out again we need to get legionares to safty and bring them here. Some are scattered around and alone and not very well liked by the Dunmer's now. I will try to gather some allies while you Malgurion will take command of gathering the legionares scattered around in Vvardenfell" Arneth said before leaving the table, reaching for his damanged armor from the ambush and his enchanted sword by the helmet.
He walked out of the cave without a word, he sharpened his senses as he looked out of the cave door looking if there was anyone out there. It was clear. He was going to start near Ald'Ruhn, Maar Gan and Gnisis trying to find what ever legionares he could...
