Serene noticed Sel sitting next to her.....sad obviously.......she unvoluntarily read histhought...he was off guard and then could not shut her out....

She bit her lip and thought about how easy it really was to shut her out...but decided not to tell.......unless.....nahh..

How can I help him? she looked at the dunmer and barely could resist to hug him, Sel was a very good friend.....and now he was obviously in love with Celia.....ahhhhh why should the girl be so shy? Why not just accept what was coming to her? As she herself had done when she realised it was something going on between her and Jonacin?

Sel and Celia would probably get on very well.....that is of course if Celia could learn to be a bit more strong and stubborn....otherwise Sel would probably dominate her?...hmm then again at this moment Sel was soft as a khajiit´s fur.....also very vulnerable..

She wondered if a touch of light magic would help? Very subtle it has to be...none of them should even notice it....

Serene sighed and downed the last in the bottle of brandy in front of her......

Most peculiar....she thought.....she was not at all drunk..normally she should have been, considering how much she had downed the last few hours.

"Sel....she turned to him....you can tell me if there´s anything I can do for you!"..her whisper could just be heard by Sel...she was very particular about not embarrassing the young dunmer........not in front of the others....dunmers have their pride...Serene was very much aware of that

Konrad rose slowly, the rotten chair creaking as he pushed himself up. He walked over to the bar, now having to dodge in between the people having thier battle drinks inside the quite crowded pub. He reached the countertop, shoving his hand into his pouch and digging up 2 gold coins. He threw them loosely onto the counter, mumbling about a brandy.

The barkeep obliged, again bobbing back down under the counter and filling a mug of brandy. Konrad stared at the massive glass the brandy was filled in, then nodded to the man behind the bar. He was obviously drunk, this was going to last him till forever.

He went over to the door and looked out, the creaking of the battered hinges ringing around the room. Konrad wasn't surprised they were battered after the intense fight, a construct obviously having fallen onto it or something in that area of events.

Konrad went outside for a bit of air, glancing back into the inn for a second then swinging the door shut with a slam. He drunk half the mug, then threw the rest on the floor, sighing. Nothing was going to make him drunk now. The realisation of the whole affair was settling in. He sat down next to the door and leaned against the wall, his expression grim as he looked out across the town.

Shakur was suprised Anthanes would say something so unhelpful. Shakur had his suspicions but making them public wouldn't help Sel at all, so Shakur gave a stern look to Anthanes, but didn't keep it for long. "Well" said Shakur getting up from his chair. "I think I'll go get some more drinks, be back in a second" he continued. Shalur walked over to the bar and dropped some dwemer coins onto the counter, and then using one arm for balence jumped over the counter. "Sel, to get a girl you need some personality, wit, cunning and some hair on your chest. Since I am not a god though, I'll give you thiis nice drink to raise your personality, intellligence and I'll heat it a bit to make you feel better" Shakur thought to himself. He knew something awkward other than flat out rejection happened, and knew Sel couldn't give up on love so easy.

"No, I don't need any help." Sel said back to Serene. "Just leave me alone."
Sel wasn't used to accepting help from anyone. He would handle this jiust as he did other things; alone. When his mother died, he didn't get help taking care of his sister, when his sister died, he took matters into his own hands as well. How could Serene help anyway? he asked himself. She probably couldn't.

Shakur walked back to the table with three drinks, putting one infront of Sel while th others found Shakur's side of the table. "There you go Sel, whatever the trouble, a nice and hot drink should help" Shakur smiled. He didn't have high hopes in the drink, but hoped he could atleast get Sel talking.

The Town was quiet for the moment, all of Ald'Ruhn forces had fallen back into and the streets were crowded with their defenders. Beyound the walls, most of the constructs were destroyed. Fenris stood next to a young Dunmer anyone familar with the Sarethi family would recognize as Varvur Sarethi, Athyn's son. Fenris no longer wore any of his upper armor and his chest and arms were decorated with Blue woad in swirling blue patterns that represented the wind. Varvur was armored in a suit of Ebony and his hair was, as usual, stuck up in one of those Dunmeri mohawks. Several other Redorans, such as Athyn himself, or Garisa Llethi were also nearby.

Sel accepted the drink and took a rather large gulp, and continued his thoughts.

You were being stupid anyway, Sel. He thought, berating himself. Why would a noble altmer want anything to do with a poor dark elf?

He suddenly remembered Serene was sitting beside him.

"Damnit." he said aloud after looking at Serene; he was caught.

OOC:

"Because she´s in love with you, silly dunmer" Serene could have bit her tounge off...answering Sel when he did not actually speak.....


"Forgive me , Sel", she muttered, rising hastily and went to the bar

"Give me a double brandy this time" she asked. When she got it she drunk it all in one.


"Damn it, now I have to get drunk" she thought....." Not looking back at the people at the table..she couldn´t bear look at Sel....


OOC: I´m off now, Sel has to figure out what to do now... Serene will be at the bar drinking like a sponge until I come back, maybe she´ll pass out...?

Megil didn't speak much, just added a few affirmations here and there. After a while he watched Serene gulp drink after drink at the bar, Megil stood up and walked over to her, gently tapping her shoulder.

"I think you have had enough," he said, and then muttered a few words to the barkeep, makin sure that Serene did not get any more brandy in her.

Konrad cried out in rage and threw the mug over the street, watching the glass shatter against the yellow brickwork. He drew his sword, sighing as he looked at the sword. It was excuisitely made, the silver tuned to perfection all the way along the blade. He threw that across the street too, freezing it so it shattered against the wall.

He told himself that this was the end of fighting. No more swords. No more shields. He got up and unstrapped his sheath. He threw that on the floor along with his shield, anyone could have them.

He walked back into the inn, sitting in a corner with a face like stone.

Megil turned as the he heard the door slam to the bar, he saw konrad storming off to the corner and sitting down, his face void of any emotion.

Curious Megil glancded out the door, and saw the remains of the mug and a puddle of brandy around it, seeping into the earth. he also saw konrad's sheath, thinking the boy had forgotten it Megil knelt down and picked it up, then came back inside.

"Ah" Otik added another couple septums to the bar, "Could I get two flin? thanks."Otik downded one and picked up the other and went outthe door, passing Megil with Konrad's stuff "Hey Megil, where'd you get that stuff?"

"just out here, seems konrad accidently dropped the suff in his drunken stupor."

he glanced back at Otik,

"Where are you going?"

"I don't know. I just got tired of the bar." Otik took a drink might go and see the reminants of other towns" He paused "No then I wouldn't be able to get back. any ideas?" Otik shrugged.

"You could always sit on a rooftop, and look at the embering remains of this town, and also the armies fighting outside the walls" megil suggested.

"assessing the other towns can be done after this is over."

"ah hey what are those vits of glass doing over there?" Otik walked over "also looks like fragments of something silver." Otik held up the peices " say, wan't Konrad's sword silver?"

"yes it was, but I don't see why he would destroy his only weapon." Megil said kneeling down and examining some of the broken shards.

The battle ranged on inside Falx's mind..

"Give up! You'll never win!" Alton yelled, the colours of Falx's mind were swaying from shade to shade, occasionally mimicking that of the world around them.

"It'll be a cold day in oblivion before that!" Falx lunged through past Altons claymore, almost in a dead hit for the stomach, "And you said darkness could control me.."

Alton barely dodged the blow but stay alofted on his feet, "In time... In time it will come back. Then you will need me and Arcyakt! Ha! Look your friend Jonacin will die out there by himself. Give up and spare him"

"I have faith that he will last.. And you will die!" Falx retorted before swinging his sword wildly at Altons head. Falx readied another blow but was caught off guard when Alton kicked him in his unprotected stomach.

Blood trickled down from his mouth as Falx clutched his stomach, moving backwards as fast as possible. Alton spoke up, "Well, I suppose I don't even need you, I can... replace you" The evil entity said with a grin, "Yes, then I won't have to worry about you troublesome antics! Take this!" Alton threw a massive strike at Falx's chest.

When the sword hit, it shattered most of the ribs in his body and left a gash many inches wide, Falx spit up some more blood, and fell to the ground clutching his open shest cavity.

"Well well, it was fun." Alton turned around and walked off a few steps and then spun on his heel to face Falx, "I win, and you die..." Alton plunged the sword towards Falx's heart.


(OOC: *GASP*)

The end was near, the sword approached. Falx knew that if he ceased to exist here, Alton would have full control of his body. He would be a slave to the darkness forever, untill it consumed every last part of him. In those last seconds thoughts and memory's sped into Falx's mind at an in an enourmous(SP) rate.

Maybe this is what it is like on the verge of death

Then a thought trickled in. Alton doesn't control your mind yet. Falx's mind was still part of him, he controlled what happened here. The boundaries of the real world had no part in here.

In a instant Falx's wound sealed up, then time stopped. Falx slowly crawled up, felt over his chest and realized how wonderful he felt. Alton stood there, motionless, in the middle of the swing that would of ended the existance of Falx Albarnias forever.

Time went back to normal, and the power that Alton threw into the swing knocked him of balance and sent him tumbling to the ground.
"What the..." Alton stood up and attacked with a gross ferocity, "DIE!"

Falx frozed Alton in place, "Now who is weaker?"
"But.. it can't be!" Alton stammered, motionless.
"This is my battleground, I control it. You failed in that understanding."
Alton looked desperate, like a hound trapped in a corner, and cried, "Arcyakt!! Help me!"
Not wanting the presence of the Mage in his mind Falx threw his sword in the center of Alton's throat, silencing him forever.

Falx opened his eyes, numorous constructs surrounded him and the duel but none engauged. Jonacin was still locked in the duel with Arcyakt.

"I'm back! Arcyakt, prepare to die.."

"I don't know Megil. Whada you say we question Konrad about this." Otik shrugged and waited for MEgil to make the first move.

Osano sat slumped over in is chair. His drink was tastless, the bread was dry and empty. I need to get out of here. Since Falx has returned to himself after Arcyak is defeated I will be the only general left. They'll soon realize that and kill me. He stood up and walked out the door.

Osano stopped, "I'll save you some trouble. Balmora is ashes floating down the Odai. Caldera is still intact besides a rather large crater in the ground. Vivec's probably in pieces and the Telvanni towns have been wiped out," he said walking towards the gate. The battle was still too concentrated to leave so Osano had to watch from the wall until the battle died down.

OOC: serene can here those thoughts and anyone can engage in conversation with osano......please. i'm bored.

"hey what the!?" Otik blinked a few times "Hey! Hey? what? You are one of the generals, I could have killed you earlier." Otik cursed under his breath, "You do know that your leader is practically dead and you no longer have any special boost. right? So why are you going back out there?"

"I'm not going back out there. The constructs are trying to get in and we are trying to push them out. It's a giant deadlock at the entrance to this town," Osano smiled, "Wait, you're the one who shot me aren't you? That was pretty brave of you, you know."

OOC: otik did shoot osano right?

ooc: pretty sure I'm the one that killed York, right?


"Yeah I am, did it out of sheer terror and opertunity if I remember corectially" Otik shifted his weith to his other leg and twitched his fingers not knowing what to do next. "Wait, you said we aren't you the one attacking? What are you up to?" Otik narrowed his eyes.

"I'm going to earn your trust then kill all of you, Osano replied coldly to Otik...He then let out a hearty laugh, "I'm just kidding. I quit working for Arcyakt. Enough people have died by my hands for three lifetimes; I'm done killing."

"geez whats with this all of the baddies are gone arn't they? thats one that quit evil and one that I almost killed. I would have to if I was left alone long enough." Otik sighed "Well now that you are good couldn't you make your centurians turn on the others?"

(ooc: oh well if this is wrong sorry)

(OOC: No one knows I was a baddy but Osano... and York died before he could become good.. So theres only one baddy going soft that you know of

"First of all, I'm -not- good," Osano said threateningly, "I fight for my own purpose, my own conscience. And secondly, Arcyakt has control of all the constructs, so no."

"So then What are you going to do?" Otik thought of reching to his bow again but thought better of it, instead he thought

Hey Serene! a General's out here. he said he isn't affiliated with the mage but just in case could you bring a couple people out here?*

"I'm getting out of here. Hell once this is all over everyone will start rebuilding and then controversy will spark and that will escalate to a few skirmishes and then maybe an all out war," Osano said to Otik looking out over the battle.

(ooc no you weren't the first we had a conversation in the pub.....)

"Ah. I can't wait untill it is all over, I want to see what happened to Khuul, the town I live in. I might become an assasin or a leader of something or another"

"Well you're in luck, Khuul and Gnisis up there still stand," Osano paused awkwardly. He had run out of words in the middle of making a point.

OOC forgot what i was going to say...

"well thats good, now do you know how we can kill the mage or is he one of the all powerfull baddies that can "never" die?"

Though it was still night for a few more hours, and thusly, she was still a Werewolf, Anara entered the Rat In The Pot. Leaving V'anul and Fenris with the Redoran Councilmembers and what remained of Ald'Ruhn's army. She moved to the bar, ignoring any stares that came her way and the look of terror and surprise on the Bartender's face.

"Flin," she said, the Bartender nodded and handed her a bottle. "Thanks."

The Bartender just nodded and took a seat behind the bar with a sigh. "Better than the battlefeild," he muttered.

"Must you use the word baddies? There is no good or evil in this world only different perspectives and ideals. You are the 'baddie' to Arcyakt as he is to you. And as far as I am concerned you can't kill him--without some sort of Divine intervention...But then again, Neravarine killed Almalexia, and Arcy killed Vivec so maybe there is no hope..." Osano repied to Otik.

OOC: but he dont know about the items from azura you guys got.

"hmm good point about that baddies thing never thought about it that way. Oh well i'm sure we will be able to kill him somehow."

Megil listened to the conversation he was upset that the man said Vivec was probably in ruins. this man had no idea what vivec was like. nothing but mounds of rubble remained.

"Tell me where the General who attacked Vivec is, and if you do not know, Tell me who he is. I'd like a few wods with him." Megil said anger clearly in his voice.

Osano pointed out to the battlefield, "Falx is out there fighting Arcyakt. His alter-ego, Alton, destroyed Vivec...You sound angry, were you the one who was resbonsible for losing Vivec?"

Megil fumed, his already fiery blue eyes, glowed brighter now.

"Lost...LOST? I did not lose Vivec. WE had nearly driven of the army, when that godforsaken mage showed up and turned the canton's into rubble."

Megil said his nostrils flaring.

Osano probed deeper into Megil's anger humoring himself, "Well if Vivec no longer stands and it was your job to protect it, last time I checked that counted as a loss. Am I right?"

Sel turned to regard the conversation between Osano and Megil; anything to get all the attention away from himself.

"Leave him alone, Traitor." he said as he absent-mindedly ran his finger along the edge of his bottle, still thinking more inwards than outwards.

Megil let out a small twisted laugh. "yes yes I lost the stone and metal to the mage, but I could at least see the corruptness of his plan. and vivec still fights out there." Megil said poining out at the battlefield.

"So Vivec has not fallen yet, the city might be rubble, but the courage still lives in the men, and only when that is destroyed will loss be sentenced. Traitor."

"An inspiring speech. I wonder why Arcyakt hasn't crushed this town in the palm of his hand yet. Jonacin and Falx (is fenris out there too?) must be keeping him busy. If he wanted to, Arcyakt could probably drown this damned island into the sea," Osano said in response to Megil.

"Indeed he could, as can I" Megil said.

"Besides you would go down to, I doubt Arcyakt has the soft spot of forgiveness in his heart. guess you ahve betrayed twice, once to join arcyakt and now you have betrayed him. I doubt you could fall into his good graces again."

Osano laughed, "Yeah he probably would kill me. I planned to flee this city but there isn't much a way to get out when there is a war raging outside. If Arcyakt can make it this far he can have me. Somehow I don't think he will. I imagine he'll get arrogant like he usually does, make a mistake, and then somehow get killed. That's his weakness, he is very cocky," Osano said. He felt like he was spying on Arcyakt all this time, even thought that wasn't the case.

Falx sheathed his sword and backed away from Arcyakt, "Jona, he's merely trying to stop us.. Lest not waiste to much energy."

He turned to Arcyakt, "So mage, what will you do when you loose? Die hopefully? Maybe Azura will find pity for your soul, though I highly doubt it" Falx spat.

Distorted remnants of various thoughts flew inside Serene´s head.....all dizzied by her drunkenness

She did not kow where she was or what she was supposed to do...her head ached and she saw a lot of people in the bar......there could not be tht many....or could it? She spotted 2 versions of Megil, sayng something about that she´d had enough to drink....well may that be..but why did the room spin around so much?.......

General? need help? ahhh and Jonacin?..why did everything vanish just as she was about to grasp it......

"Heey, she whispered what´s going on? Where am I?"

Then she slowly slipped off the chair and was laying in a heep below the bar.....all still.....

Konrad watched megl with his sheath, talking to Otik. It seemed he should have hidden them, he didn't need them knowing. He sipped on his last remnants of cyrodilic brandy as he sighed, now relaxed. There was nothing to worry about, the war was over as far as he was concerned. He could 'settle down' and get a job, stable boy or something. He was too young to fight.

Megil left Osano to Otik. Serene was unconscious now, MEgil put his finger to ehr neck to check her pulse, it was steady, but slow. He felt her forehead, it was cold. and the color was gone from it. Megil sighed,

"Just had to get drunk didn't you, Oh well you'll be feeling the pain in the morning"

Megil collected some poofs (OOC: the circuler pillow things) and layed them out in a quiet corner. He returned to the bar, gently lifted Serene, avoiding the countertop, and carried her to the makeshift bed, were he lay her down gently. He asked the barkeep for a bucket, in case Serene should need to divulge the alcohol, and then sat himself down next to the bed, guarding her from any frisky soldiers.

Serene woke up, the world was spinning around in an unbelievable speed, she felt intense nauseous and caught sight of the bucket beside her just in time to not get rid of the alcoholoc beverages on the floor....

After relieving herself she fell back and just moaned.....feeling incredibly sick. She knew perfectly well that she shouldn´t have had that lat bottle of brandy...but now it was too late...far too late.

Now somewhere in her intoxicated brain there was a thought that Anthanes ..or was it Megil? had some potion that could sober a person up.....and get rid of the hangover that certainly would come after a drinking-spree like the one she just had....


"Ahhhhhrrrrrr" she tossed and turned.......feeling just awful....obviously stinking like a dead guar......
