Konrad followed him, glaring at Sel and stzmping on one of Celia's feet before running as fast as he could for the safety of the ruins.

"At least he has the sense to run." Sel muttered as he walked into the ruin.

"uhh, nothing, you need to worry your little head about," megil replied.

as he said so there where clanks against the door, as the constructs tried to get through.

"Yah, we really should get going now." Megl said nervously.

"Only one way to find out," Fenris said walking to the door. "Ahem," was all trhat he said before shouting down the door, blowing the two halves of the Dwemer door into whatever was on the other side.

"Fun." Sel said, hearing the clanging behind the door. He stared in awe as fifty constructs burts through the opening where the fenris-blasted door once was...

He was surprised at the number, but didn't have time to think about it any longer. He drew his sword and took up a defensive stance.

"Dammit, you son of a...err...nord!" , Anthanes exclaimed. "Oh well. Constructs are prone to exploding due to explosions. FIRE IN THE HOLE!" As he said this , the Half-dunmer lobbed a grenade into the room, causing an explosion.

Two of the constructs were already down, the doors had ripped through them. Many more heavily damaged by the grenades, and a few outright destroyed. Fenris backed up, away from the flames, "Anthanes, area effect ice spell, it'll freeze these steam-powered tin-heads up! And it won't kill me like those damn grenades!" he said, cutting down one of burned and damaged constructs.

Anthanes smirked seeing the effect of his grenade. I am a genius.

"One frost spell coming up...V'LAASH SHARMATHZKAM, SOLENUM!"

"Hmm, ya that was very smart thing to do, he told Fenris.

he watched the explosion and several constructs get blow apaart, others wer just minorly dismemembered.

Arcyakt can repair this kind of damage, you need to do something to really destroy the machines. May i suggest a salt water spell, with a arcane twist of time acceleration Sheogorath whispered to Megil.

Yah, and how exactly does one add time acceleration to a spell?

Well you can control water, change its attributes. make it bind and oxidize metal faster.

Megil summoned a large sphere of modified salt water and hurled it into the constructs. instantly the metal turned dul and brittle, the gears inside the machines cracked as they turned.

he turned to fenris, "I think a shout should finish those guys off" knowing that the shout would tear the rusted metal apart into a fine powder.

OOC: why do we always need a plan of action? why not hack and slash?

Sel slashed the head off of the nearest centurion before jumping out of the way of Anthanes' spell.

He was satisfied with the fact that they were all frozen, and even more so when Megil completely destroyed them...

He saw something at the end of the hall. Walking over the iced over floor, he saw that it was a note. Ripping it off the wall, he read it out loud.

"A mayor city eh...?" The battlemage's intellectual, well-trained, though on occasions eccentric mind churned over this information.

"Perhaps that means our friend is going to attack all over Vvardenfell...DAMN IT ALL TO OBLIVION AND BACK AGAIN!"

The combined effect of Megil's and Anthanes' spells left the Centurions devastated. THey were frozen in place by Anthanes' frostr spell, and megil's spell left them brittle. "Right," he said. He walked infront of one of the frozen, brittle constructs.

"BOO!"

The Centurions fell to pieces, some where they stood, others when they struck the walls.

"Should we actually split up and go? Or all go to the same city?" Sel asked, once the news set in.

"Well, split up we're no match for his power. We might stand a chance united, though it means we'll have to pick a city to aid...Suggestions?"

"Ald'ruhn." Sel said without hesitation. It was his home, after all.

"doesn't matter really, I told you it would happen tonight. three armies, three parts of vvardenfell. take your pick. no mater what we do, tomorrow cities will be gone, nothing but rubble. the blood of the fallen staining the ground, and the sky red with the flames."

"I´ll go with Jonacin, wheever he likes to go, perhaps to Ald´ruhn " Serene said,,quite stunned over the efficient destruction of the metal-monsters

"Hmm...I still have my mark set in my little Ald'ruhn hidey-hole. We'd be able to transport there quite easily."

Note to self...remove Boethian shrine from there as soon as possible.

OOC: I think we should split up, that way, all the baddies get something to do other than have a post like "and the city was dstroyed"

"Anthanes has a point," Fenris admitted. "I say we head to one of the gtowns where a House makes its' home. I say Ald'Ruhn. I prefer the Redorans to the Hlaalu or Telvanni."

"Hmm, alright I'll go to Vivec, and Ebonheart. A city and fort of such importance will likely be struck first. Also they are close to shore, gives me a slight advantage and I'll have the sylphs at my aid as well"

"I think we should split up, and try to save as many cities as possible." Sel said, agreeing with Megil's logic.

"If we split up, i suggest each party has at least one mage. Who can heal and assist the fighters. That way a group of fighters won't be butchered because they can't heal themselves," Fenris said, crossing his arms over his chest. "But i really don't like this splitting up idea..."

"Alright." Sel began. "Our mages are Celia, Serene, Anthanes, and Megil."

"How should we make these groups?"

If I may have an opinion Serene said I´d like to go home to Ald´ruhn

"Well let us first think of the locations that will more than likely be struck first. We can assume Vivec, and Ebonheart. then we have the three houses, Hlaalu in Balmora, Redoran in Ald'Rhun, and the Telvanni (OOC: i don't know where their 'home' is. Sadrith Mora is my guess). Other locations i can think of are the shrines, Since arcy has such a hatred for the daedra, and gods."

Anthanes shrugged. "Meh, I don't know. Only city I'm really at home is Ald'ruhn and it seems that there's already a goodly amount of people going there. I'll be going with them, if possible, otherwise...I'll just take Balmora."

"I don't know were to go to, My only home is Khuul and thats not exactially a major city. Who wants me to go with them?"

"I suggest covering the house cities, Balmora, Ald'Ruhn and Sadrith Mora. The groups should have a few fighters and at least one mage, two at most," Fenris suggested. "Or covering sections of Vivec city, as that seems a probable target, and if Arcyakt attacks that, the lost of life will be greater."

"I agree, we have 4 mages, so we can be split up. as said I'll take Vivec. Since times seems of teh essence I can get there in a half hour, meaning I might have time to warn and prepare the ordinators to aid in the defense of the city." Megil said, "Anyone who feels the urge to help vivec, you can come with me, but do so only if you are certain that the other ares need not better defenses. I'l have plenty of help in Vivec."

"I'll be taking Balmora then...Anyone want to come with me?"

"I'll go to Balmora," Fenris said. "My Sister's still there with that damn Khajiit i think."

Anthanes nodded to Fenris. "You'll need to be touching me while I cast the teleportation spell...Anyone else?"

Wonder how his sister looks like...

Fenris nodded, and placed his hand on Anthanes' shoulder.

"Anyone else or can we go?" , Anthanes asked.

"I think I will go to Sadrith mora, unless someone wants me to go with them."

Konrad stepped forwards. "I'd like to go to Balmora. That town looked pretty nice...don't want to see that place ruined." he told him. He waited for permission to place his hand on the half-Dunmer's shoulder, stil shadowed by the murder 'attempt'.

Anthanes gave a short nod to Konrad. "Anyone else? Going once..."

Celia had quietly followed the others, limping a bit after Konrad's sudden stomp on her foot. She did not want to waste her healing on something that will heal over time. She had watched the others destroy the strange machine-enemies and had now just caught up with the group.

She overheard about the splitting-up plan, and immediately decided not to go anywhere Konrad goes, and she certainly did not want to go where Megil goes.

Her ears perked up at the word 'Telvanni'. She liked the bug-Dunmer-hybrid people, even though they do not seem to like her too much. Maybe Otik would not mind some company? "I'll go with Otik, if he does not mind... Unless someone wants me somewhere else?"

"Alright then, off we go..." Anthanes chanted in Daedric. "V'laash akhoram, segaro Balmora, icrius!"

In a swirl of magicka, Anthanes, Konrad, and Fenris dissappeared, appearing a moment later near the southern city gates of Balmora on the western bank of the river Odai.

Konrad landed gracefuly, then bent down and sniffed the dirt. There was something imminent, he could sense that easily anyway....but it smelled metallic. After a few moments it clicked that it was an army of constructs. "I see Megil was right, better get those icicles of yours ready." he warned, drawing his sword and dagger.

"Fenris... You go inform the guards. I'm not sure they'd believe Konrad, seeing how he's more or less a child, no offense intended, and I'm still wanted. You might want to inform your sister too...By the way, what's your sister look like?"

Hrm. Maybe I'll be able to redeem myself by this.. I hope Fenris has a nice sister...

Konrad arched an eyebrow and Anthanes interest of Fenris' sister, and laughed slightly. "I'm sure you have a chance Anthanes...." he mumbled, grinning. He then walked over to the Gigantic flea he had noticed many times as he passed through the villages. He sliced at its legs and sent it running off in the direction of the fort, hoping to protect it. Konrad then picked up a slight groaning, sounding like a metal joint.

Constructs!.

He swore, then charged back into the city and to Anthanes.

Ok, Serene said, I´ll go for Ald´ruhn then....I reckon Jonacin will follow me..so what about you Sel? are you coming??

Anthanes smirked at Konrad. Oh yes, I think I've got a chance...

Osano mounted Slogon he figured he would not be doing much fighting in such a small town. He held his ruby in his left hand and with his sword in his right he pointed north; towards Balmora. His entire army began moving towards Balmora along the west coast of the river. The noise from the constructs was almost deafening to Osano and although Balmora was not quite in sight he was certain they would here him coming.


EDIT: are the constructs the kind that roll or the heavy walking kind?

Fenris drew his sword and glanced at the sky. It was a beatious yellow, orange and red. The colors of dusk. Nightfall was almost upon the land. He nodded at Anthanes. "Will do. And as for looks well, you'll see for yourself soon enough i think."

The Nord hurried to the Hlaalu council house. "Serjos and Seras, a army of Dwemer Constructs advances on Balmora, send the guards to their posts!" he said. The Hlaalu members looked skeptical, but one spoke up. "Do as he says, i don't much believe this, but its better safe than sorry."

"Thank you Serjo," Fenris said with a curt bow and hurried out as the Guards scrambled to their posts. Archers taaking up positions on Balmora's walls and towers, while the soldiers filled the streets.

Fenris bursted into V'anu's housel, and nearly got punched by the Khajiit for the trouble. "We got trouble, wheres Anara?" he blurted out.

"Upstairs, why whats going on?" The Khajiit asked, lowering his large meaty fist.

"Army of dwemer constructs and such advancing on town. Thought you'd wanna know. You seem the type to run headlong into that sort of stuff."

V'anul grinned in response. Anara came down stairs, dressed in little more than a robe, her long red hair was almost the same shade as Fenris', and cascaded down her shoulders. "We'll join the battle soon as nighhtfalls. I've been waiting for a escape to test out what V'anul has taught me," she said, giving a slight smile.

Fenris nodded and headed back to Anthanes and Konrad, panting slightly. "Word of advice: Don't run around Balmora in Nordic mail in this heat.." he muttered.

"Did you hear that?" , Anthanes asked. "Best to be ready."

"Use ice spells if you know them! They're suspectible to that!" , Anthanes shouthed towards a group of Hlaalu guards that took position on the walls. Chanting a spell, the battlemage began levitating a few metres above the wall, allowing him to look at the advancing army.

"V'LAASH SHARMATZKAM, SOLENUM!" The half-dunmer's voice echoed throughout the sky, allowing it to be heard for miles away, as gigantic blasts of magical frost shot from the Battlemage's hands towards the advancing army.

Konrad cried out as he ran down the canal's edge, grabbing hold of Fenris. "They're hear! I heard them! Do something!" he yelled at him.

Osano heard what sounded like a spell being cast in the distance. Slogon stopped and he looked up to the sky. After a moment of silence, large blasts of magickal ice began rainging down upon them. Several constructs fell to the ground as the frost spell fell on them but Osano was lucky enough to not be touched by it.

He continued pressing forward until the walls of Balmora were in sight. He could make out the yellow armor of guards on the walls and three people standing before the entrance...

OOC: how are we gonna do this? i dont think an army would be stopped at the first town they raid so......
