That is neat when NPCs like Raiders will pick up the weapons laying around from other dead Raiders and use them. In Fallout 4 just recently Blood Raven was fighting the Raiders in Olivia Station, and she killed the boss Raider, who had a minigun. One of the other Raiders ran up and picked up the minigun and started using it.

My character bumped into
one of the globes in Fallout 3 and the globe part spins! It spins independently of its bracket, that is, just like a real globe.

Meh, that link sucks. I can't get a link of the globe picture itself. You all know what I mean though.

This morning my character discovered an easily missed balcony in the Delta rocket section of the Museum of Technology, that we’ve been missing since the game was released. We noticed it from the staircase but it had no clear way of getting to it besides dropping down from above onto a thin ledge that led up to it. Wasn’t a whole lot in there but it did have a skill book.

Wow, I have played that game for years, and never noticed that!

There are more than one of those hidden balconies in the room with the Delta Rocket. There are at least 2. You reach both by jumping onto the thin ledge beside the stair and walking to the corner, where there is a room in one, and a little cubbyhole in another. I can't remember if there is a 3rd one or not.

Hmmm… only noticed the one. Looks like I have a return trip to the MoT to make!

The Wiki has the two secret locations listed hereThere are two hidden areas in the room with the multi-level staircase surrounding the Delta IX rocket. Starting from the lower floor, go up the stairs to the second floor, one will see two consoles that say 'Activate Delta IX rocket'. Just to the left of both consoles is a plaque, and to the left of that is the railing that guides its way to a thin ledge on the outside of the stairs for the third floor. At each gap, instead of going up the stairs (second floor stairs, and third), jump up onto the room railing, then down onto the little ledge that runs along the outside of the stairs. Follow the ledge to each hidden area.
In the second area, there is a blocked-off room, which contains a Guns and Bullets skill book in the corner. This section also contains two unique, smaller-than-usual Nuka-Cola bottles.
To the left of the desk with the Guns and Bullets copy, the fridge holds four bottles of purified water.

Am gaming with Cho while I wait for my family to get here. Just found a "Wasteland House". The game did not auto-fill a location on the map, but the place is north east of Bethesda Ruins. Anyway, Cho just stepped through a door (trying to go outside) but instead walked into a garage! It's got a Chryslus parked inside, and a Corvega poster on the wall.

Is it the area I think of where in one house, with palisades outside, you find a bunch of Raiders? A neighbourhood area between Bethesda Ruins and Wheaton Armory?

My Lone Wanderer is spending an off-day in the Citadel. He's in the break room right now, having a snack.
There are two refrigerators in the break room, both of them set to respawn with plenty of food and drinks, yet over the years I've often wondered why there's never anything in them by the time he's hungry.
Now I know why. It's the kids! I added some kids to the Citadel, just to make it seem like families are happening in there. When Cho first peeked into the fridge there were 5 or 6 food items in one fridge.

As Cho was sitting there, I kept noticing a couple of kiddos kept getting up from their table, going to the fridge, walking back to their table, and so on.
Cho just had a peek inside. An hour ago there were 5 or 6 foods in there: squirrel steak, sugar bombs, and so on. Now there are only 2 food items!

Those darn kids, they took all my LW's food!

Have you looked in the kid's inventories to see if the food items are in there? Or do they actually consume it?
Renee
Feb 19 2023, 01:55 PM
No, haven't looked into inventories, and by now Cho's far away from the Citadel.
However, after they go to one of the fridges they have been taking a seat, and then the eating animation begins.

I just read (haven't tried) that if we kill Moriarty, after about a week the place of business is changed from Moriarty's Saloon to Gob's Saloon. Can anyone confirm this?
If not, I gotta try this! Janet. Janet will off the guy; I'll just have to RP a reason why. No, VICIOUS. She'll do it. Janet's too stoned/drunk to care about Moriarty much.

Yes, I've killed Moriarity on several occasions. The original sign has Moriarty's name X'ed out, and Gob's name is put above it. I think it only takes 3 days without you being in the city, so the cell can reset.

Cho Zen Wan is in Super Duper Mart, maybe for the last time before the place gets taken over by the Brotherhood. 🤖 He is basically clearing the place of raiders and marauders.
Cho oneshotkilled a raider and this caused two others to go searching for Cho. Problem for them was, he already laid a bunch of mines on the market floor, and one of the raiders stepped on it. *BOOM* he got wasted.
So the New Thing is: there a second, female raider searching along with the guy who stepped on that mine. "Got what you deserved, dumbass!" she said.

Never heard that before.

In Janet's game it is
March 29, 2278 She just discovered Fordham Flash Memorial Field, which is a baseball diamond. Baseball, there are four bases to run around, and currently there's a raider running to each base, around and around the diamond, as though he's wacked-out on Psycho.

I checked Fandom to make sure this is vanilla, and sure enough one of the raiders does run from base to base.
"
By sneaking up to the field unnoticed and managing to stay undetected, one can observe the raiders playing "baseball," which consists of one or more of the raiders continuously running the bases."
Weird.

Cho Zen Wan is in Megaton. Just walked past Maggie, the orphan child of Billy Creel. Conversation between these two has Maggie asking her stepfather about puberty from the sound of it, which made Billy really uncomfortable. I missed the first part of the conversation ....
[Maggie asked question...]
"[uncomfortable reply from Billy]...Can't you talk to Moira about this stuff?"
"Geez Billy you're so timid about this stuff. I won't be a kid forever, you know."
"I know, I know sweetheart. Now you run along, okay? Billy's got some thinkin' to do."
