mirocu- Thanks. Oh, you know Buffy’s story better than you think, I’m sure, given all the penpal letters Buffy and Lothran have exchanged. You know that she was orphaned and raised in Bravil. Trained as a mystic archer by Daenlin and the University. Fell in love with Savlian and helped him save Kvatch. He died in the final battle and a despondent Buffy went to Valenwood to grieve. Yup, that’s the summary of Book 1 so you’re all set.

McB- Gosh, it is so nice to see you back amongst us! As you know, this last story isn’t the first time I’ve borrowed your null iron idea to suppress the magic of captive mages. And I bet you’ll recognize some more of your inspiration in the prequel to Book 2.

I am humbled and ever so grateful for the warm support of Buffy’s friends. I’m going to move this thread over to my sub forum now and let it 'rest'. I expect there will come a time in the future when more short stories from 'somewhere in time' that don't quite fit into Buffy's larger arc will surface here. In the meantime, I plan to launch Book 2 in the main fanfic forum next Friday.
