"Good luck, wherever you are going," said Shadow, raising his glass. "May Almsivi watch over you. The name is Shadow, by the way."
He thought of the life of adventurers ever on the road, and his own boring routine suddenly seemed very boring to him. He shrugged his shoulders to shake off that feeling, and took a sip from the mug. Such stupid thoughts would only disturb proffesional work.
Dantrag
"Bye." Sel said curtly as he walked out the door.
gamer10
"Shadow eh, strange name. Or is that your nickname?"
Red
Shakur walked back to his house after saying goodbye. He noticed his wife was gone, and he put on his old, steel armor. He walked up the steps to the silt strider and gave the Dunmer his gold.

He took the long trip until he arrived in Ald'ruhn. He entered the fighters guild trying to avoid any men who remembered him. He climbed the stairs of the lowest floor and opened the door.

"Who are... Shakur!" Tralan was happy to see his brother. Three years had passsed. "Tralan, is, is it done?" Tralan was confused and asked dumbly "It?". Shakur closed the door and leaned in close "Xccalsazaor". "You mean the Liches blade? Yeah, me and Wayne forged it back together with the magic and enchanted it like you asked. Do you have what I wanted?" Tralan asked and Shakur quickly pulled out a book. "Meditations on War, the poetic sights and sounds of battle. Nice. Thank you for going through all that battle to write me a book". Tralan picked the katana out of it's respected sheith "this weapon replenishes your energy and magicka, so it's perfect to use when you summon a sword. Good luck brother".
Megil Tel-Zeke
OOC:sorry long introductory post >.<

IC:
Far east of the adventurer’s, at Azura’s shrine, a young dunmer lies in meditation. Azura comes to him in a vision. “My child, for thirteen years you have come to this shrine to devote your life to me. You have learned much and become a strong warrior. However, there is no more for you to learn here. Travel west young one for there is a group of adventurers from whom you will learn much, find them and know that I am watchful”.

Megil snapped out of his meditation and looked around the room, getting a hold of his bearings after a five hour meditation. He rose and began heading out the door. “You were at meditation for a long while today,” said a voice to his left. Without looking at the priest Megil responded, “Have I teacher? Azura came to me in a vision; she has called me away from here to travel west.” The priest stared at his young student “If that is her will, then travel my boy, just never forget that this is your home.” The young Dunmer left the shrine and traveled east to his small island home. In his meager leather tent he collected his bow and his double bladed spear, some food and clothing. As he turned to leave he also picked up a small enchanted cloth purse, which made it invisible to all others, that held the rest of his inheritance.

Returning once again to the shrine, Megil gave the priest a small sack containing five thousand septims “For all you’ve done for me,” said Megil. Tears began to collect in the priests eyes and as he watched Megil vanish over the horizon he prayed, “Watch over him Azura, for he is a good lad.” And so Megil began his travels west.

Konrad stood up also, brushing the dust from hisbehind as he walked over to Sel. "I will come ith you, though I fear the worst." He looked to Niran. "No time for chattering, methinks. We may never get to speak to Arco again." He rushed out of the building and to the mages guild, shouting Balmora to the woman down the hall and throwing some money in front of her as she sent him to Balmora.
Dantrag
Sel hesitated to use the guild guide for fear of being noticed by someone, but decided it was necessary - Arco was a friend.

When he appeared in Balmora again, he headed straight for the temple.

"Where's Arco?" he asked one of the priests.

the priest didn't have to answer. He saw Arco's dead body.
Konji
Konrad ust stood there silently, his arms folded. He turned his head to the side and stared away from Sel. "Hmmm, he didn't stand much of a chance." he said quietly, keeping away from the priest.
Dantrag
Sel stood there, shocked.

He did the same thing he did when he found Falx's grave - sat and remembered him.

He stood there for a few minutes before walking out of the temple.

"I'm going back to balmora to see Arco...I hope it isn't too late." Sel announced, tired of playing games with strangers and sitting aorund doing nothing. "Anyone else coming?" he asked loking at Konrad, celia, and Niran.
Celia hesitated. She did want to see Arco, but she did not want to be rude to someone they just met. Not to mention, she was starving. "Er, you go on ahead. I'll stay here and eat." She waved goodbye to Sel, Konrad, and Niran as they walked away. "Do you want me to order anything? Oh, and please tell me news of Arco when you come back, m'kay?"

After she had ordered some water and bread, she sat next to the Dunmer stranger. "Hello, what was your name again?" She asked, smiling.
Dantrag
Sel walked back to the mage's guildhall, to give Celia the sad news.

"Back to Ald'ruhn." he said to the guide.

He walked back to the Rat in the Pot.

"Celia," he began quietly. "He's...he's gone."
MerGirl
"Wh-wh-wh-wha?" Celia's heart jumped, and her eyes widened. Then, after awhile, her frown slowly transformed back into a smile. No, she could not believe it... "Surely, you must be joking! Do not do that, Sel!"
Dantrag
How could she smile when Arco was dead?

"Celia...I don't joke about death." he said solemnly. "I've seen too much of it."
Wolfie
Jonacin yawned and got out of bed. He looked down at Serene, who was still sleeping peacefully. He could barely remember life without her there to support him through everything. He put on some clothes, and wandered downstairs to see about some breakfast

Arcyakt, posing as Celia, slipped into the room after Jonacin had left.

He didn't even need the disguise, but it would help if Jonacin walked in.

He cast a spell on Serene, teleporting her to the prison in his castle...He then teleported himself back to his dwemer ruin.
Wolfie
Jonacin walked back up to the room, a plate of food in hand. When he went in, there was no sign of Serene. Normally who would have just assumed she had gotten up and gone out, but as there was only one way down from the room, and he had only been gone for a couple of minutes, he though that something else was afoot.

"Celia...I don't joke about death." he said solemnly. "I've seen too much of it."
Celia's smiled stayed frozen in place as his words sunk in. Tears started streaming from her eyes as she whispered, "No, no, not silly Arco... No, this can't be! No, I refuse to believe it!" She hid her eyes with one layer of skirt. "No, no, no, no! Arco's strong, and... Serene will heal him, and this is all just a bad dream!"
Dantrag
Sel put his arm around her.

"It's alright- he's in a better place." he said, suddenly realizing those were the same words she had said to him at his family's graves.

"Come on," he said. "We'll get you a place to stay for the night."
MerGirl
Celia wiped her eyes, and then smiled. "Thank you... You know, you're right. She grinned and then giggled. "Maybe right now, he is happily wiping out nasty demons, wherever he is..."

She paused. "Er, I thought this place had beds, no?"
Dantrag
"No." he answered, glad Celia was at least a little cheered up. "We would have to go to the Ald Skar Inn for that - unless you want to go back to Balmora and stay with Shakur..."
MerGirl
"Oh, er. Tough decision... Everyone's split up...Well, let's look around here a bit in Ald-ruhn." She suggested. "Just for a little while, please? Maybe the others followed us here?" She smiled. "And if we can't find the others, I will go back to Balmora, and gather them up and keep them penned, like sheep!"
Aki
Balmora

Fenris stood in the Tribunal Temple of Balmora. He didn't like the Dunmeri religion, but he was here for a reason. He had to pay his respects, Arco had been a fine warrior, and deserved that much, even if he had been a bit anti-social. Or that Fenris had hardly known him.

Fenris sighed, before leaving the Temple.

"Well, Serene said she had friends in the Ald'ruhn Mage's Guild, but I didn't really look for her because I was rushing...We could check there first." he said, leading Celia out the door.

Niran just followed Sel and Celia around, his reaction to Arco's death was very subtle.
Channler
"Who am I... Why can't I remeber anything!" Falx cupped his hands over his face in a vain attempt to hide himself from his problems.
"Do you want to talk about it dear?" The elderly Selvia replied with as much compassion as she could muster, "Holding tragedy inside taints the soul young man.." She paused in looked up at the wooden crossbeams in the ceiling, "...so just let your thoughts flow, I will not try to judge, but I will try to help."

Falx dropped his scarred hands from his face and let the void of his mind soak up her words...

OOC: thought he went back to balmora???

(OOC: Now it's time for my statement: HUH?)
Dantrag
I thought you went with Sel to see arco, which would mean that Niran is still in balmora...
gamer10
(OOC: Actually, Niran just follows Sel and Celia around, because I'm not here to control him all the time. So just pretend he follows you guys from a distance. Oh and by the way, look at my signature and guess. ) biggrin.gif
Dantrag
OOC: Sel and Celia split up for awhile so there is no possible way you followed us

Shakur walked out the door. Tralan helped him with the ring, and he walked out the Fighters Guild door. It was morning, and he could see as the uninteresting Dunmers went about their buisness. Shakur sheithed his new sword, which would aid his magick and sheihai skills. He walked in the less than crowded city. He saw one Dunmer that did interest him. Sel. He walked faster, catching up to him and following wherever he went.
gamer10
(OOC: Oh, so he followed one of them . . who should he follow?) kvleft.gif
Dantrag
OOC: follow sel you're in balmora, considering he left for ald'ruhn again in a flash - follow celia, your posts are right.

Sel saw Shakur, but waited until he got closer before he said anything.

"did you hear about Arco?" he asked.

"Arco? What happened?" Shakur feared the worst of poor Arco. What possibly could happen to a strong warrior like him?
Dantrag
"He's...dead." Sel said sadly. "An hour or two ago."
Red
"Sweet Dunmer. Poor lad, did he die peacefully?" Shakur was devastated. He felt terrible. While Arco was dieing, he was running around hunting burglers and finding rings.
Dantrag
OOC: lad? he's like 105 years old...lol.

"All I know is he was in bad shape and Serene and the Temple healers couldn't do anything about it."
Kuukulgur
Shadow was half way home through the city of Ald'Ruhn. The night was already giving way for the morning - first rays of the rising sun made the horizon glow. The morning dew had descended and the ground was wet. Shadow pulled his cloak tighter around him as he walked, for the cold morning air and moisty fog seemed exceptionally chilly today. He fastened his pace, thinking of another day at work.
It came to him that he needed a break, something different from the everyday nuisance. He had never before taken his Guild assignments as boring chores, and the fact that he now did so made him think. Maybe he needed variety, a break from work for a bit, so that he could return with fresh will? He thought back at the adventurers in the Ratpot the last night. The special scent of the road, will for discovery and adventure had attracted him, had pulled him towards this totally different lifestyle.
He walked through the town deep in thoughts, unable to see anything else...

"All I know is he was in bad shape and Serene and the Temple healers couldn't do anything about it."
OOC: It's more than a saying than a sensable sentence.

IC: "Well,, atleast he lived a life that most people his age refer to as their glory days. He died a good man" Shakur watched as a strange man almost blindly walked through the road. Shakur ran towards him, wanting to figure out why he walked past the crowds so.
Dantrag
Sel shrugged as Shakur left. He turned to Celia and Niran.

"I didn't realize what time it was - we only have a few minutes until dawn. A little early to be getting a room...Let's check the mage's guild and see if Serene is there." he suggested.
Konji
Konrad headed back to the mage's guild and transported himself back. Walking out of the door he saw Sel and Celia standing around. "Hullo you two, tis is a shame he had to die." he said to them. "But I didn't really know him really so...Oh well." He circled Celia, jabbing ghost kicks at her, pulling his foot back a second before impact.
Megil Tel-Zeke
Megil headed north for about an hour or two until he reached the end of the peninsula. Thre at an intersection Megil met a shabbily dressed man. “Hey you, kid come over here.” Thinking the man needed help Megil approached him, the then charged Megil and pinned him to the ground “give me your money kid,” said the rogue. Megil at first stunned quickly controlled himself, looked into the rogue’s eyes and smiled, “You stupid fool” The man didn’t even get to hear the end of the sentence when he felt a powerful bolt of energy to the chest that sent him hurling up several meters into the air. Megil quickly stood, knocked an arrow in his bow and while the man was still in the air sent several arrows through his chest. The man landed and Megil went up to him, saw he was still alive and said to him “I pity your soul old fool” saying that Megil knocked an arrow and sent it into the man’s skull, ending the man’s misery.

Megil then headed southwest, and within an hour or two reached Molag Mar. Seeing it was getting dark He asked a commoner where he could go to get some food and rest. “Head up to the waist work, from there go down one of the long hallways, which will take you to the upper level. There you will find a temple and St. Veloth’s hostel.” “Thank you”. He followed the directions and soon found the hostel, he entered and approached the patron, “I’d like accommodations for the night sir.” After paying the dunmer his gold, Megil sat down at a table and ordered some food. He then went to his room and went to sleep. He awoke at dawn, gathered his things headed out of the hostel and continued west along the shore, heading for Suran.

With a flash of magic, a rather irrate Dunmer man with some Imperial traits in his appearance arrived on the platform of the Ald'ruhn guild guide. The Half-Dunmer was wearing a torn red robe in Cyrodiilic style that might have been fancy, once, and there were sounds of metal clanking with every move indicating that he was wearing armor under it. He was wounded in several places and clutching a dwemer-made item of some kind tightly.

"By the voidstreams of Oblivion, Edwinna! This is the Azura-knows-how-often time you made me..."

Realizing that the woman who was the target of his tirade was not in the room, he muttered an apology to the rather confused guild guide and made his way to the guild steward. With a grunt, he dropped off the Dwemer-made object, collecting a small amount of coins and stomped off towards his room just near the entrance, which in his opinion was greatly undersized for one of his rank. He did not bother to close the door as it was quite hot, especially in his small, rather dank room. He opened his storing chest, which was filled with magical items of all sorts along with various forms of nonmagical junk. He began digging through the chest, throwing out items that he didn't immediately need. As he did so, he muttered to himself with sarcasm. "'Dwemer item I need to complete my research' , she said. 'Telvanni unfortunately acquired it earlier' , she said. 'Need you to do a simple retrieval mission' , she said!"

There was the sound of the shattering of glass followed by a small explosion as he threw something out of the chest against the wall, rather brusquely at that. There was a sizable hole in the wall leading outside.

"That must've been the potion of fire damage...Stupid idea, anyway. It was about time I got a window, anyway...Has got to be a healing scroll somewhere..."

The receptionist snickers at the Half-Dunmer's antics. Anyone entering the building or standing near the 'window' would be able to hear his ranting as he continues searching for a healing scroll amongst his vast horde of arcane items.

OOC: Which guild are you at? And welcome.
BobV
OOC: Ald'ruhn mages guild.

The wind picked up violently in one section of Ald'Ruhn, kicking up a dust cloud before the Nord even him the ashy ground. He ran a hand through his winblown hair and sighed. Casting shouts and riding them to destinations was always a rush. Far more fun than a teleportation spell, or levitation. Maybe it was because of the speed, the wind whipping in your face as you soared through the air. Fenris smiled politely at the Dunmer nearby, waving a bit before heading to the Fighter's Guild, he dropped his armor off with the Nordic smith in the Guild to be repaired. He trusted him to be the best smith in town, not to mention better at repairing Nordic Armor. He doubted the Dunmer smiths knew anything about how to fix Nordic armor. The Nordic Tongue smirked, and exited the fighter's Guild, raising a eyebrow at the hole punched in the side of the Mage's Guild.

"Huh...some mage musta blown himself up."
Konji
Konrad turned sharply, bringing his arm up to shield himself from the explosion. He walked causiously(Sp) over to the smal crowd of people who were encircling the hole.

He barged his way in and peered through, seeing a strange looking Dunmer.

"Hello Dunmer, why are you causing all this commotion? Do you want me to call the guards?"
gamer10
Niran followed Konrad, this might be interesting.

"What's going on here?"

(OOC: Call the guards and see something cool, well more strange than cool.)

EDIT: If you do call the guards have them talk to Niran and watch what he does. Come on Bob.
Konji
OOC: Gotta wait for bob to try and stop me. I hope all these newcomers aren't gonna post pages long every time.
