But I'm going to put Christmas on the list. Because food. Specifically lechon. Mmm.... Our family doesn't cook a whole pig, but we get a piece with some skin and cook it so it's crispy and just melts in your mouth. One bite automatically puts you on Santa's naughty list. That's how good it is.

Also my cat usually sleeps in the bed with me during winter, but this year she wants under the covers and somehow she manages to get her body under my pillow. She's been very cuddly this winter so that's nice.

Rain. California needs it bad so that's always nice.

Wow! So yeah, spring!


We´ve been having some beau-ti-ful mornings here lately! Clear skies, sun, no wind and quite cold, especially today, so all in all perfect spring mornings!

Wooo Spring! One of my top four favourite seasons.

It's been quite warm over here. As in "I don't have to wear a big winter coat anymore and can get away with a light jacket."

Apparently back home, up North, it's pretty snowy though. Y'know, closed roads and all that other fun stuff.

British Weather™ is weird.

Right now, that would be spring break! Not that I'm going anywhere or anything. It just gives me a chance to rearrange my thoughts and strategize how to organize the rest of the semester. It's also giving me some quality time with Melaina I'm gone for 11 hours twice a week and then 5 hours two more days out of the week so I don't get as much time with her as I like. She must feel the same because she hasn't left my side all day!

Visually, I like the flowers and leaves coming back. Unfortunately, my siblings and I are highly allergic (my sister's eyes will swell shut!) so we suffer or but several bottles of Allegra to cope.

Also, spring is one season before summer so....

Of course, as a cyclist, I divide the year into four seasons: Too Cold, Too Wet, Too Hot, and Too Windy. I ride on the odd days that fail to conform.

Well, things are blooming here in the high desert, and I've needed neither heat nor air conditioning for many weeks now. Springs here are breezy though.

Nothing really blooming here, it´s been a tad too cold. But I reckon it´ll be in full bloom in a month. Maybe

Though winter hasn't officially started yet, the best thing right now besides this drink I just tried called champurrado, is winter break. So I can have time to read and write for fun again.

Good on you for trying Champurrado, although it's not a drink for us Filipinos; it's actually a porridge that we eat alongside dried fish. Yep, our taste is weird that way. Still though, I like Champy myself, I eat/drink it with condensed milk.

Chocolatey and everything with the fish? That actually sounds kinda good right now if the fish is a bit salty.

Yesser it is salty like a rejected person'a tears on a Valentine. Mmmmhmmmmmmm. You done and made me crave for some now, actually.

Officially winter does not start until Mid-Winters Day. Which never quite made sense to me...

Must be an American thing. No one here defines winter as starting from Mid-Winters Day.

Technically it starts on the 21st but yeah we're getting the frosty windows and misery.

Best about the current season?


Sunshine, wind, stillness, overcast, snow and hail. All on the same friggin day

Lots of folk love Spring for its mild temperatures and blossoming plant life. I like that too, but overall don't care much for the season since it also tends to pose the greatest storm / tornado threat. I always breathe a sigh of relief when summer rolls around, since the threat of severe storms and tornadoes diminishes. Of course the ungodly hot temperatures we've had to endure the past couple of summers ain't all that great either. Heck, mowing the lawn today in the high seventies took a LOT out of me. I don't even want to think what it'll be like mowing when it's a good twenty-plus degrees hotter, no shade in sight. My old ticker don't take to mowing in a oven as well as it once did.

Moderate warmth, blossoming trees and shrubs, dry soil (instead of mud everywhere) and living in the cottage is what I like best about the current season

I will be facing two winters this year. It's currently winter here in Brazil. When I return home this year I'll be facing yet another cold season....

Not in the state where I'm in. It never snowed here.

Em...Yes, I like it because it's air-conditioned and there's a loud radio...But...I tend to be working when I'm there...Sooooooo...Swings and roundabouts... ...

Tank tops. My skin looks so much nicer. Not just because I get darker, but I feel like I glow! Also my hair will dry without the need for a diffuser and the curls form up so much bigger and nicer.

More fruit is in season, ice cold horchata, banana "ice cream", regular ice cream, 4th of July, which gives me hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill.

A break from school, which gives me time to try and practice some calculus before my class in the fall.

Best thing about the season?

The beach and the bikini-clad dwellers therein.
