I have absolute no interest in playing it myself, but I'm excited that it may do two things: attract attention to the franchise, and make them money they can spend on TES VI.

I'm sorta excited. I usually don't enjoy MMO's though, but it's elder scrolls, involves molag bal, and gives me a chance to see all the provinces in fairly good graphics, so I'll probably try it out...

I'm not following the news at all to avoid getting hyped. (and knowing me, that means I'll find out about its release a year after the fact.) As for trying it, it depends on how the payment model is. I'm not tossing down sixty+ bucks for a game I don't know if I'll even like. Did that once and well, never again. If they let you try a day or two for free though, I'll give it a shot.

Jun 30 2013, 10:14 PM
Can't wait for it. Not going to even run it on a PC, because mine can barely even run Star Wars: The Old Republic. So I'll be buying a PS4 just for ES online and the Witcher.
Now, I'm not too big of an MMO fan but I'll still play them. I read most previews and hands-on, but what had me interested was of couse the controls. The game, as many of the previews say, plays like ES. None of that auto attack nonsense, or click the options to throw an attack. It plays like Skyrim and Oblivion. Hold to give power attack, press for regular attack.
That, and of course, Molag Bal's involvement has me interested. Playable creatures has me sold. Besides, we also get to visit other provinces. I'll leave the rest to judge but for right now I can't wait to try it out. I can just see myself getting hunted by other players from the Fighter's Guild

I'm actually more excited about this game than I was a few days ago. I watched
this video and was pretty impressed. I haven't paid much attention to the game up until now so I knew very little about it.
Before this, I was planning to buy it because I love the Elder Scrolls and I can't imagine
not buying a new game in my beloved Elder Scrolls series. But now I am planning to buy it less out of a sense of loyalty and a bit more because I am genuinely excited.

That's a bit of a generalisation.
You can still play alone, you don't NEED to group up.
They've got a main questline you can do,and you can just quest,it's basicly normal TES with other people you don't need to communicate with at all.
You don't need to do raids or dungeons or PvP,you can level up through crafting and questing.

Just caught up on watching videos for this. The game's geography looks awesome. The exploration alone would make this game pretty amazing for hardcore Elderscrolls fans. I still doubt I'll play it but I get why so much interest is buzzing around this thing.
It is nice to see Bethsoft listening to their giant fan base that has been requesting a multiplayer ES game ever since I can remember but it just isn't for me. My love for ES games is BECAUSE it is single player. The whole draw for me is the ability to become immersed in the world that the series takes place in. I can live the life of a character. There is no distraction from the outside world (real life) and I just melt into the game.
Once you add little kids yelling into the microphone, scammers, gold sellers, and the human element, the game is just less interesting.

I know that Cyrodiil is supposed to be the Player versus Player arena where anything goes, but what I'm wondering about is how are you going to be able to wander about the other areas without running into gangs of friends that are simply roaming about offing solo wanderers?...
I started Red Dead Redemtion a few days back and went on the Multiplayer for a while...There was this one session where these two persons* decided, firstly to shoot the horse out from under me, and then, when I simply decided to run to where I was trying to get to, they followed me...Because it was obviously amazingly hillarious, they decided to put their horse in front of me, so I ran around them...Aaaand they ran just me down...And then cornered me...They couldn't kill me, it wasn't on that mode, but they could make life hell if they wanted to...So I respawned it somewhere else...Oddly enough, I got bored after that and haven't been back on it...
It'll be interesting to see how they do moderate that in ESO...
