It shows several senior citizens and their reactions to Grand Theft Auto V. I wish it were a little more racially mixed, but this vid captures some genuinely real emotions.

I like how some of them are completely offended by GTA: V, while others seem as though they want to buy it.

It´s always fun to watch elders react to new stuff!

I liked them, they were cool Especially the cop I think. He´s been around so he knows the real deal.

I just loved how they are saying: "Oh look he's abusive too!" and "What a loser this guy is!" Because I was thinking the same thing. The three main characters are all douche bags. I think the high point of playing the game would be to get the protagonists killed!

Wow the graphics in GTA: V look amazing. I would actually play that game if it allowed me the chance to be a female, but Rockstar has said they'll never allow this.

It's probaly best they don't let you be a woman unless they get women writers,when men write a women protaginists it can go pretty badly.

There are still plenty of male writers who can write good female protagonists and vice versa. If they can't write good characters of the opposite gender, don't hire them; they're clearly no good.

Edit: I'd kind of hoped that GTA V would have had a female protagonist on the roster, as it would be interesting to see how a female character would deal with the typically male-dominated world of semi-organised crime. Felt like a bit of a wasted opportunity with three guys.

That is true. All you have to do is write a person first. If you can do that, then you can write a character who is gay or straight, male or female, human or orc, etc... But if you cannot write them as a person first, then no matter what the character is, they will come out flat, stereotypical, and one-dimensional.

As a member of an older generation who grew up before PC's, I have seen all too well the isolating effects of modern digital technology. While I have embraced some aspects of it, I've dug my heels in on certain others.

My iPhone stays in my jeans pocket while I'm moving around - walking, driving or horseback riding. It just can't replace the connections with the real world our own senses provide us.

I am probably the last person on Earth who doesn't have a Facebook account.

Youtube is not bookmarked in my browsers. It's a real time vortex that I work to avoid (except to follow links from here, or to locate music videos for the other thread).

Recently I've even dumped my cable TV subscription. All my viewing content comes via Internet. Yay for Netflix!
