Me too. I used to use Live Journal a long time ago, when social media sites were first getting off the ground. But I found I was spending so much time journaling, that I was not actually living. So I stopped altogether. Whenever I think of Facebook these days, I always think of the old saying "Your face, your ***, what's the difference?" So to me it is ***book.

I do not have cable tv either. I just have internet, and I either watch streaming video from Netflix or dvds. I would rather wait for a show to come out on dvd, and watch as many episodes I want a day, at any time I want, then wait a week between each one.

Oh, if that is the Kevin Spacey club, count me in!

Yes, I heard something about Anheuser Busch moving their advertising away from their trademark Clydesdales!

That's because Clydesdales are Scottish, and it doesn't make sense for a Belgian company to be using them. (AB InBev owns Anheuser Busch). They brew Labatt's, but aren't allowed to sell it in the USA, where there's a Labatt USA independent of them, who import it.

Now SABMiller are at least headquartered in Britain, so they could do that. They're really South African, though; and they make Fosters and Pilsner Urquell. They also own Bavaria Brewery, who are obviously Colombian.

Agreed - Spacey is one of those geniuses who understand that personalities are more than just voices and words, they are also physical mannerisms. I could recognize a lot of his impersonations before he even said anything!

Not funny per say, but I thought I could put it here

It´s a video showing how the company Economy Lube scams people who just comes in for a simple $20 oil change. The customers end up getting a $200 bill for brake fluid and coolant fluid changes they didn´t even do.

There is a station in Florida that tried to get me twice when I've gone through there just pumping gas - the guy comes running out and pumps your gas & washes your windows; then he lifts your hood (bonnet) and wipes his finger on the engine so it looks greasy and he shows it to you. He says he found that oil under some "skirt" in your engine, and that you need @ 200 dollars worth of repairs.

I told him to keep his fingers out from my skirt, that I didn't ask him to check my engine. I called the main company and filed a complaint about them scamming with the headquarters - who said they couldn't do anything because it was a franchise.

Well, a few months down the road the station was on TV in one of those stings done on scammers by 20/20 or one of those shows. I saw it and was really glad I didn't let him talk me into getting the work done.
