Right then, for the escape what I was thinking was we blow the back wall and leg it into the night. Keara heads off in another direction and slips through the regulator lines, or blasts her way through whatever floats your boat.
Meanwhile we stick together and get cornered in a ravine or some such and give up, lay down our arms and get taken away somewhere.
Sound good to everyone?

I'm not sure if Lord Revan and minque are still joining or not, but if so, Keara could return to Megaton to get them before attempting a rescue. (I guess she'll have a little moment of conscience)

OK, were close to capturf so lets do some real planning. So far this is the plan as Im seeing it:
blow hole in wall, mad dash through nearest "exit" and hit dead end. keara splits from group before mad dash and heads to megaton, while everyone else rots in jail. YAY!
Now, how are we going to be jailed? Pairs or altogether? If pairs, who goes with who?

Not as far as I know. The only thing I can think of that would even make someone think that is simply his clothes.
EDIT: fallout wiki says he is, but their 'source' is the game guide. never mentioned in the actual game. either way, keara would likely avoid him.

I'm not sure, but are we ditching the Matter Sphere idea, or is this still going to work into the story?
Dantrag
Jul 20 2011, 04:07 PM
yea. it's part of the story for sure.
whoever set us up got to it first and then framed us for the death of the settlement that held it.
Perhaps the Regulators could know something of it and question the characters about it? Then Coldshort's crew would have one more clue as to who set them up.

Aug 4 2011, 08:36 PM
Well, the group and Keara are both obviously running on different time-frames. For the group it's only been a few minutes and they're still quite close to the village. Keara meanwhile has gotten to the end of her day and travelled all the way to Megaton.
What I'm trying to say is, feel free to get the recruitment started. We'll finish up the capture in the meantime. Oh, one more question, where will Laura and co be taken?
grif11
Aug 4 2011, 10:27 PM
I'm gonna say some sort of bunker, similar to a brotherhood of steel one, but repurposed as a prison.
Also, should some of us take on "Secondary roles" As secondary characters?
E.g, This regulator groups leader, a sadist interogator?
P.S what is Damons actual class? some sort of tech master?
Dantrag
Aug 5 2011, 12:35 AM
from what I gathered, Damon seems to be the outdoor survival guru with added techie expertise.
and revan, feel free to wake her up if you want, or we can wait. it doesn't matter much to me.

Aug 5 2011, 12:50 AM
woops, forgot to add that we could probably have the group knocked out, then we could realign the time scales. Alexei's already K.O, maybe tranq rounds for everyone else, or maybe they walk into our gully, ask a couple questions and SMACK! Rifle butts all round.
Also, We need to discuss our new "living quarters". I thought that we could be in pairs, but have us switch cells after interogations "to stop us forming a plan". This lets all our characters get to interact with each other 1 on 1.
Dantrag
Aug 5 2011, 12:55 AM
realigning the timelines is a one-post fix when needed. Say you need to fix a two-day gap. The regulators capture you, and then there's a (you guessed it) two-day travel to their HQ/dungeon.
Or they put you in cells and leave you for (oh my!) two days. The options for such things are endless.
ureniashtram
Aug 5 2011, 06:20 AM
I can't add any suggestions, only that maybe a combination of Grif's and Dantrag's would seal the deal.
Ask a few questions, get KOed (tranq rounds or rifle smack), 2 days travel and then the Fun starts. And when I mean fun, I mean torture. I like Grif's idea of switching cells. This is a character-oriented RP after all, yes?
jack cloudy
Aug 5 2011, 11:43 AM
I prefer the option of being in jail for however many days it takes for Keara and her new friends to come visit us. I hope they bring flowers.
Jokes aside, I'm not sure yet if I could play a convincing interogator. So I'd like it if someone else has their session first so I can see what to go for.
I like the paired cells, but would like to make a slight addition. Instead of putting two people in one cel, stick with one person per cel, and have the pairs be in opposite cells directly across each other.
This enables interaction, but avoids any silly situations like the old "He's sick, now let me club you from behind while you check out my buddy"-trick.
The other pairs are then simply in other cellblocks somewhere else in the building. Hell, we could use a pre-war prison if needed. Plenty of cells there.

So Revan, were you planning on having Jericho be an issue?
If so, maybe Jericho could burst into Moriarty's over his beef with Damon, Keara helps out Damon, then she kind of forces Damon to help her, since he would then 'owe' her.
Lord Revan
Aug 9 2011, 03:08 AM

Name: Chris 'Callsign: Mongoose'
Gender: Man
Age: 21
Profession: Recreational Hunter/ pre-postwar N.R.A(National rifle assiciation) enthusiast
Appearance: 5'11/184lbs. I usualy carry an old desert boonie, or on cold days, ill throw a black beanie on. I would like to wear shorts, flip flops, and a tee, But this is the mojave. I normally wear my old set of desert fatigues, complete with cargo pockets.
My set of old desert boots get me by, as long as I got some place to change or wash my socks. Foot care is the best care, i say.
I have a load bearing vest, to carry my ammo and immidate equipment. Sometimes i carry jerky in my pouches. I also got an old A.L.I.C.E pack i got from a former co-worker. Oh! And i also have a 3 point sling i can attach to any carbine weapon i can get my hands on.
Recently, I got my hands on a ceramic plated facemask i ripped off a legionaire, and some shades. After trippin off some funky cactus water, i ended up drawing on the mask. Im sure i got messed up and drew some pink, marilyn monroe lips pressed against a......I'll let you see that for your self.
Skills: I'm a great shooter. Love huntin' and trackin. I can treat basic injuries, and i got a bit of shock trauma treatment from back in the NCR. I can operate, clean, and repair most foreign and domestic firearms, but i got no understandin of energy weapons. If worst comes to worst, im trained in bayonet and knife fighting.
Weapons: I snagged me an m14, with the lighter aluminum Enhanced-Battle-Rifle body, with the colapseable buttstock. I managed to snag me some flip-up ironsights, and a 4x16 huntin scope. It's great for long distance as well as close quarters. I got me an old OKC-3S bayonet, and it still cuts great. I as my sidearm, i got me a trusty ol' 1911 .45. fixed me up with some re-enforced springs, lightweight trigger, for more sensitive pull, and a shaved grip to evenly switch between my knife and pistol. Yep.....good ol shootin.
History and Background: Hmm. Well. i aint much for talkin bout my past. But i will say that i didnt exactly serve with the mainstream military. I'm originally from north-eastern california, boardering the corners of nevada and oregon. I was taken by some government bigwigs, along with others trained like me, and sheltered in an unmarked vault. I still wonder bout' it. But in reality, im just glad we were released from the vault. The ranges we got to shoot on got all to familiar after living down there. Dont think i got any family. But the director of the vault was my surrogate father for the duration of my vault days.
-For the most part, im pretty competent in combat, survival, observation/monitoring and as well as shock-trauma treatment. Give me an order, or a request, and i'll get it done fast, and done right. Please help me find purpose, or atleast a means to eat, and ill scratch your back. Y'all have a good one, ya hear?

Edit: So y'all were in megaton, and a shootout occured due to a botched scheme to jack equipment from a ....armory/barracks? If this isnt correct, please help me fill in the blanks. Im reading the playground as we speak. No idea what is solidly going on, and help from the roleplayers would help me as far as how to introduce Chris to the group(?).

As far as I know, there aren't any gals here.

Anyway, yes that is correct.
We're a small time merc company 'hired' by a shadowy guy on retracting some kind of technology on a settlement. As you can probably guess, we were framed. And now, we're going to be captured by the Regulators. Luckily, Keara the Scout is sent to Megaton as an envoy for help.
And since Lord Revan and Dantrag are planning for their characters to meet in Moriarty's Saloon in Megaton, I'm thinking maybe you could too. In the recent post of Lord Revan, you would find that he challenged Jericho to a drinking duel in the Brass Lantern and that a small crowd gathered, watching and betting. Maybe you were watching them have at it?
The possibilities are endless.

General Appearance: A tall, ghoul in purple robes which he keeps the hood up in.

Armor: Purple Robes
Medical: Surgeon’s Kit, First-Aid Kit, Five Stimpacks.
Literature: Doctrines of the Children of the Cathedral, Journal
Misc.: A necklace with one of the Children of the Cathedral Badges in it.
Nuka-Cola Bottle Caps: One-hundred, fifty-two (152)
Biography: Born in the Hub in 2141, he never truly fit in. He was always one of the smarter kids. He never truly made any friends with anyone. It was rare to see him without his nose in a book or taking small objects apart, only to put them back together.
When a member of the Children of Cathedral came to the Hub, he was quickly recruited into it. His faith in the Master was unquestionable. It was due to this that he quickly raised in rank.
He quickly became one of the favored initiates of Father Lasher and was often considered to be a gift of the Master due to his disciplined and pious nature. Within a year, he was already a Scholar which was when he was sent to the Hub.
Many came to him, recognizing the familiar face, but seeing how much it had changed. His eyes no longer showed fear and contempt for the denizens of the Hub, but joy and hope. Several of the people he knew as he grew up joined the Children of the Cathedral after seeing his transformation.
It was when he was called to return a year later that he was granted an audience with Father Morpheus, the leader of the Children of the Cathedral. It was then that he rose in rank to a Servitor. By that time, the year was 2158; he was merely seventeen years old. He was the youngest Servitor to ever serve the Children of the Cathedral.
He was given a Plasma Pistol and returned his old, tan robes for the purple robes of a servitor. However, this promotion came with a reward. Father Morpheus took him into the hidden vault beneath the Cathedral to meet the Master in person.
The Master smiled at the sight of his new servitor and blessed him. After which, he and Father Morpheus left the Vault and returned to the Cathedral. With a smile and a bright future that he could foresee, he was sent to Necropolis to lead the Super Mutants in their search for pure-strain humans for dipping.
He met the leader of the Ghouls, a man named, “Set”. What started out as mutual distrust slowly turned into barely contained hostility. Set only didn’t attack, because he knew the Super Mutants could wipe them out easily with their energy weapons and big guns. Brian didn’t attack, because he knew these ghouls were serving as lookouts for Pure-Strain Humans.
About three years later, a Super Mutant with little intelligence by the name of “Harry” had a message from Morpheus ordering that he return to the Cathedral and surrender the post to Harry. Obediently, he returned to the Chapel.
When he returned after two weeks of walking, he found Father Morpheus waiting. He warned of a pure-strain human, known as the ‘Vault Dweller’ killing Super Mutants. Brian was ordered to stay at the Cathedral, ready to defend. For a month, there was no word of the Vault Dweller.
However, a month later a super mutant with a burned off arm and a missing eye (the arm was clearly burned off with plasma) arrived at the Cathedral. Father Morpheus got word from the wounded Super Mutant that the Vault Dweller had destroyed the FEV Vats in Mariposa and killed the Lieutenant.
Father Morpheus cunningly had each of the Initiates armed so that when the Vault Dweller would attack the Cathedral, he’d be ambushed by what he thought would be unarmed disciples. A week after, he arrived. Father Morpheus ordered Wolfe to head for the area around the Cathedral to serve as a lookout for anymore.
Forty-five minutes later he heard a loud, echoing sonic boom that knocked him into unconsciousness. When he woke up later in the Followers of the Apocalypse Headquarters in Adytum, he looked in a mirror to see his new form. He not only looked like a ghoul, he was a ghoul…
He hastily left Adytum and went north. For years, he wandered from town-to-town, never truly finding a home. With each passing day, he would pray that one day the Master would return and speak to him again. After many years, he settled down in the town of Gecko.
He met with an FEV Mutant named, “Harold” who told him stories of a man named Richard Grey. Eventually, he left for the town of Broken Hills. It was there he met a Super Mutant named, “Marcus”, one of the ones he met in Necropolis so many years ago.
It was there he reintroduced the faith in the Master. Many Super Mutants were quick converts. Several ghouls and only a single human heard his teachings. However, when he moved on so did their faith in the Master.
Over the years, he learned to accept that faith in the Master was lost… He acknowledged that the Master’s faith was gone; he did not lose faith in him. Brian would always pray to the Master, wherever the Master had gone.
He would selflessly heal the sick and the weak, asking for nothing in return, except for them to return the kindness to their fellow people. Although he aspires to one day resurrect the teachings of the Under-God, Brian accepts that the day the Children of the Cathedral are reborn may never come…

As far as placing yourself in the story, you could either meet up with Keara, Chris, and Damon, or with Laura, Jonathan, Raymond, and Alexei. One group is in Megaton, the other is captured by regulators somewhere out in the wastes.

Zalphon, the way Brian acted is a bit odd considering the circumstances. Given how Laura and co had been chased down and all by the regulators after some shooting, I doubt he'll act as if he'd just noticed them.
That said, there is an easy fix for it. We'll just have to skip ahead to our arrival at the Regulator headquarters. Brian could be there and open his eyes as they're brought in. In fact, I think I'll just do that right now. Posting on the company's end of things has been slow the last few days anyhow.
