I was not happy with Vilja that day. She seems to be moody at times… no more comments on that.

On my Xbox games I always had lots more money than that. Probably because there wasn’t much to do but raid dungeons.



She didn’t need a bath though! That’s was ticked me off! This was recorded right after the Bad Dreams video at the end of which she took a bath.

And Aravi has money to throw around so it really isn’t a big deal if Vilja spends 300 on some silver ware. Heck Vilja spends more than Aravi does.



The funny thing is, she is the one that always chooses that inn. She could go to the Tiber Septim, but nope, always the Merchant’s Inn.


Yeah it only took a few days of not so subtle hints for her to get her book. And the best part of it isn’t even up yet. teaser

Green Gables was the one I had conflicts with so I was not able to get into the cellar. In my case deactivating The Lost Spires restored full functionality of everything.

The big hearth in the middle of everything is neat in Red Rose Manor. So is the stonework around the windows, and the balcony/battlement. So can you make your own clothing with the sewing kit, spinning wheel, and loom? What was that globe thingy by the statuette of Azura in the attic alchemy lab? The secret passage goes to a neat grotto. It reminds me of Teresa's Astral Temple.

Green Gables looked more ritzy inside, but a little too much so I think. It seemed too modern, and broke the whole suspension of disbelief that this is in a fantasy world. Especially the modern furniture, sinks, and flush toilet. And Mythic Dawn statues? I think you are far better off with Rose Manor.

Ooo, is the magic crystal ball the one that was under the alchemy desk upstairs? I love Red Rose Manor, for the secret grotto alone!!

But Green Gables has all of those sweet rolls, I know which one Vilja would pick!

I liked them both, but was not thrilled with the idea of having to use night eye while inside one's home (Red Rose). It seemed awfully dark inside.

I liked Green Gables better mostly because of that, (I see I'm in the minority, lol). Really love these walk-throughs you do, you could post these vids on each mod you have DL'd, because they show more of the mod than the screens do, a lot more !!!

I'm not sure if you can or not, but knowing Emma (the author of the mod) you probably could. I know you can have Vilja make you clothing. I've only been in the house long enough to make that video, Aravi has not moved in yet.



I really liked the interior of Green Gables, but you are right. I could not really see Aravi living there. It would be more suited to a rich Altmer or Imperial in my opinion. I guess Aravi would fall under the rich category but it just isn't her style.

Green Gables is a bit too over done for Aravi's taste so she'll be keeping the Red Rose Manor. (Plus GG wasn't doing well with Lost Spires)

This wasn't the one I was expecting. I thought this would be the one called "Too Late" (which is tied for my favorite with the first night of dreams when she woke up scared). This vid must have come right after Vilja's bad mood one, lol.

I didn't catch it on the first viewing, but on this one I noticed when Aravi comes down in the morning, Vilja is STILL complaining about that book, (Ten Commandments, Nine Divines) - to the man running the front desk !!! ("That book, 'Ten Commandments, Nine Divines' is the worst crap I ever read..." - ROFL !!! That is hilarious !!!

I remember a feeling of relief on this vid that Aravi could relax for now knowing she didn't have the disease. Watching it again, I didn't get that this time. The nightmares have to mean something, lol.

*Just a note, Vilja does wear a swim suit while swimming. In this video the color blends with her skin and looks like she isn't wearing anything.

I love how Vilja says "I know exactly where we are going." and then turns around and heads in opposite direction!

At first I thought you were going to try to sneak around the bandit camp. But I see you just wanted to get a good sniping place! I never even saw the one that first hit Aravi!

Vilja has a perfect sense of location. She knows that exactly wherever she is is her precise location. And wherever she goes will be her new location. EZ!

Aravi's getting very good at slipping those arrows into the baddies without hitting Vilja.

GAAAH! You are right !! What happened, when I went to watch that last vid (and it wasn't the one I thought it was) - I dug through your vids and rewatched them looking for the one I thought it was so I could post the name, lol. That scene where she is still griping about the book had me laughing and it was still in my mind when I commented ----- sorry, lol.

This is the vid I was thinking about. And it does have the scene where Vilja is griping about the book (still) the next day - but then that is overshadowed by what happens next. This scene was powerfully done, equally to the vid where Aravi watches the sun rise. Aravi's shock, fright, reactions - the viewer can't help but feel what she is as she runs up - breaks into a room to look at herself and see if she has the disease.

The viewer can almost feel her wishing she was home to use the chapel healing thing and scrub herself clean of it.

The next scene was just as poignant - Aravi is afraid to walk through that door again. She reaches for the handle and literally backs away - you can't miss the fear she is feeling here.

The amazing thing to me is that - you conveyed Aravi's dread completely by actions, without facial expressions (other than when she is looking in the "mirror.") Amazing job you did on this, a real work of art !! AWESOME VID !!!!

That was scary! The next morning did Aravi lock the door behind her for privacy? Wow. This is very engaging, KC!

Vilja is hilarious again, griping about the book Aravi gave her. Is there a “smack Vilja” menu option?

I agree with mALX (always a wise idea) that you are a master of capturing Aravi's emotional state by showing us her actions and reactions.

Very, very effective how you showed her painful sun damage, then she ran back inside, upstairs and locked the door behind her to check herself over.

Some nice little touches in this were how she thoughtfully healed Vilja and that you showed us the clock in the inn.

It's fine, you didn't reveal anything important. Now if you had said something about her going outside, I'd have sent you a message requesting an edit.

Aww, that's beautiful! It shows off the great detail of Vilja's mail and Aravi's spiffy armor. The best part is the lovely smile that Aravi is giving to her friend.

So Aravi finally made it to prison. You know most people would sooner never get there!

I love how the mod designers use the same tunnel that you escaped from! That was a very clever bit.

I think Aravi needs to learn a Detect Life spell, or get an item enchanted with it. However, I loved that you could see the arrows hanging in the air where the invisible vampire was! Also, fire enchantments are best against Vampires, as they have a weakness to it.

Am I the only one who hears Imoen say "Right as rain", and think "Wrong as sunshine?". I guess that comes from hearing it so often, as hers is my favorite voice pack.

That 'Scholar' in the vid was attacking (or being attacked by) the Legion - but when Aravi joined in the fight he said, "Hey, I'm on your side!" to her ... what did that mean? GAAAAH !!! Better check her stats, I saw she was feeling a bit of that vampire virus when fighting with 'Sneak'.

Even with the lack of voice acting this vid had a huge amount of detail and intrigue - I paused the vid to read that journal explaining how the watch Captain got vampirism - this is one huge mod !!!

Probably the least fun out of all the quests, but you gotta start somewhere, right?

That Aravi has noticed that invisible one following her around before, but that's the closest he's gotten.

I don't know about the Legion, some of them can't be trusted...



Thank you on Aravi's behalf! I really liked it too. I don't know why Vilja chooses to wear that set of armor, she has lots of different types to choose from. She might just like the enchantment it has.

Normally she wouldn't either but she needed to get that guy out. Kind of funny that they planned an escape with the jailer standing right there. The prisoner must have cast a 'make them deaf' spell lol.

She has a weak detect life spell but getting it was out of reach at that time. Aravi is limited in some of the things she can do.

Imoen seems to be the best suited to Aravi out of all the voice packs I could find. “Wrong as sunshine?” never heard that one before.

And at your insistence Aravi has made a few purchases.

By mundane I mean unenchanted. Sorry about any confusion.

The shorter saber has a simple fire damage enchantment. 10 points for 1 second. Aravi can't make anything too fancy, she has a limited amount of knowledge about enchanting.

The tent is a camp added by the hunting mod I have. Aravi has never stayed there though.

Those are some beautiful looking short blades! Great screenies!

One is a little long but it still swings fast enough for her.



I use the hunting mod so that more animals drop meat, and the prices on the meat and pelts are a lot higher. A couple of unexpected effects is a camp and a hunting lodge in Weye. The Woodelf running the place has lots of gold so that's where Aravi brings her loot to sell.

This one had a nice feel to it with all the plants and the nice bath and back porch.

The hysterical thing is something I didn't even see, but SubRosa did, lol. I had to pause the vid and pull out my magnifying glass - SubRosa was right!! It really was the BHC hung up as paper to wipe with in the outhouse ... SPEW !!! ROFL !!! Love that touch !!!!

Aravi avoids the cold areas as well. The porch was wonderful.

After that vid of her getting lost a few posts back, I laughed when Vilja declared how she always knows where she is!

That fight was weird. A bear, a minotaur, a will-o-wisp, and an imp on steroids! I wonder why they killed the second minotaur? Then the legionary shows up after its all over!

Oh, I love the greenhouse! It’s funny, I just finished writing about a garden house in Anvil. The outhouse is a riot. I’m sure Vilja will add her copy of Ten Commands: Nine Divines to the paper supply.

That was a strange fight on the way to Skingrad. And the last attacker, I would never have suspected!!

I was freaked out by both the fight on the way to Skingrad and that horse at the end! I guess it didn't give you the option to ride, lol. Great vid !!!

On the screens - that note making Aravi feel tired (and her hearing the voice of the writer) gave me an "uh oh" feeling, lol.

Very nice! I like how you set things up with the screenies. Nice trip to Skingrad and quite a little fight they stumbled into! My fave part of the vid was when Aravi spent some time talking to Vilja about her past in Morrowind and their friendship. Then out for a kitty bath in the pond. Gosh, it must have been traumatic to have to kill a horse, but hey, it was a vampire horse so what could Aravi do? I'm glad the guard came to her aid. I was pleasantly surprised how well Vilja was able to comfortably make small talk with Else.

I thought it was cool for a while, but Aravi did the Kvatch mission so long ago that it is starting to get on my nerves


That was quite a mix wasn't it? I think they killed the other minotaur because he must have accidentally hit one of them while they were swarming that dead legionary Aravi found after the fight.




The dead legionary was killed by the wildlife. Aravi and Vilja followed him part of the way to Skingrad. You can see him briefly on the road at the :50 mark.


That horse was certainly bizarre. I wasn't sure from where Aravi was being attacked from until that guard started in on the horse.

Love the way Aravi backed down those stairs keeping an eye out in case the vampire followed her - and then backed out the door almost! You portray Aravi's reactions and emotions so well in these vids that even without any dialogue we know what she is feeling!

Am I the only one who wonders WHOSE SHADOW that was running around in her LOCKED room at the Mages Guild when Aravi woke up? Freaks me out every time I watch this vid!

I do love these vids, not just for the viewing of these Awesome mods - mostly for your ability to develop Aravi as a living breathing person through her actions/reactions/interactions in them. AWESOME job you are doing with these !!!!

Interesting that the vampire mage at the beginning was not hostile, but he sure made Aravi nervous. And more of those vampy dreams - ugh. Vilja's armor is neat!

Aravi was not prepared for him to be right there in her face. She was not going to stay in an Inn that has a vampire preying on the guests. She would have fought him but the guards frown on the murder of what they think is a normal citizen.

I like Aravi's eyes in that second pic. They perfectly complement her armor.

If you watch that vid, when Aravi lays down to sleep in the LOCKED room at the Mages Guild - watch the back wall carefully as soon as she wakes up. Some shadow is darting around in her room, it is a person because you can see the head when it is coming towards the bed.

Like SubRosa, I love the way the Elven armor contrasts Aravi's eyes.

What I liked best in that first screen - the Argonian looks like the head of the Mages Guild in Chorrol, Teekius? Is that his name? Anyway, he looks like he may want to eat Vilja for breakfast!

Oh, there is a fix for Vilja's neck, did you know that?
