So far I'm really looking forward to the new Fallout game coming out, New Vegas. It comes out later this month and I'm ecstatic about its upcoming release. I personally loved Fallout 3 with all the exploration, over the top characters, skills, and perks. I enjoyed it so much that I'll be in the store at midnight when the game is released and playing it until morning afterwards. In case you haven't heard of it there's a link to some information and also a link to some screenshots below. Looks like they've got some good voice talent as well as some very fun looking gameplay in my opinion...I'm really excited about this and if you liked Fallout 3 it looks like you'll enjoy this game as well.

I only just started playing FO3, so I am in no hurry for New Vegas. Maybe in a few years, when ES 5 comes out, I will pick up NV. Then I can play that for two years, and afterward get ES5. Yes I know, but I am typically two years late with all the games I play these days. One handy thing about waiting is that not only does hardware improve, but there are usually wiki's chock full of info by the time I do start playing.

And a lot more cheaper, too. I got Oblivion in '08 for 1000 yen, which means... 10 bucks? Yes, that's correct.. I guess.
F03 goes for the same. Now DLCs were....
Ahh, look at me, babbling about prices and all. I'll be waiting for a long time for NV, 'cause I have my suspiscions that it wouldn't be released in Jap anytime soon. Poor me.

EDIT: BTW, is it really confirmed that Bethesda is working TES5? News are slow to reach us in Asia.

Absolutely!!! Yes they are!! Additionally, they are supposed to release a version of Oblivion that is co-op for online gaming - it was supposed to be out last fall, but some kinks had to be worked out.
My guess, TESV will be in Skyrim.

Skyrim is just my guess. They left two notes in Oblivion that lead you into Skyrim. They did the same thing in Morrowind, hinting at things in the Oblivion game.
They took out a trademark on the name 'Skyrim' last year - they did the same for both Morrowind and Oblivion before each of those games came out.
My Septims are on it being in Skyrim. Like I said though, I'm just guessing.

The game is amazing. I've clocked over sixty hours since I got it on launch day at midnight. My life and sleep have suffered as a result of this game's release but I'm loving it. There are glitches, which are common of games built with the engine this game uses but they are tolerable. I actually prefer this game over Fallout 3 alot even with the current problems...which I hope Obsidian will fix quicker than Bethsoft fixed theirs.
Skills are used to much more depth in this game. There are alot of instances where you can gain a special bonus or get a prize with the right skills. Combat is better, each weapon has ironsights that you can actually look down and aim and most weapons have some sort of modification to enhance its effectiveness. The game's hardcore mode is the ultimate challenge in which players must eat, sleep, and drink in order to survive...it also makes it where you can't spam stimpacks in order to survive, you can only feel the effects of one stim at a time and it heals over a period of a few seconds instead of instantly and ammunition has weight. The game is also bigger, with more places, weapons, clothing, and things to do. I've only completed one of what I believe to be four main endings. The game also details how decisions you've made impact each settlement in the game and how the faction you help take over Vegas treats the citizens that inhabit it.
The game's ending can vary greatly depending on alliances and how much you've helped each faction. Helping one faction may have damaging effects on another and doing bad things to a community leave it worse off than if you hadn't messed with it at all...destroying a faction completely has effects as well.
Once again, the game is awesome, if you liked Fallout 3 then go buy New Vegas.

I've clocked over 60 ghours. The game is amazing, if you disagree then you're playing the wrong game. Fallout 3 doesn't even deserve to share the same name as New Vegas.
As previously stated glitches exist, but in my honest opinion the game is worth it's megabytes in gold.

I know, I really enjoy playing in hardcore. Being on the Xbox360 I have the disadvantage of not being able to mod the game so the addition of hardcore mode was definately a plus. Saves all those guys on the PC the time on tweaking and making realism mods too...the devs heard what people wanted and thankfully worked hard to implement it.

I'm a little intimidated by the prospect of playing another huge game.

I used to love open world games so much when I was younger, yet now I'm afraid of them. Every time I start one, I play it for what seems like just a while, and then wham, 20 years have passed and I still have a few side quests left to do.

I bet it's going to happen again.

What are the glitches/bugs so far?
I remember Fallout 3 had a mesh glitch in certain places (like on that bridge you cross to get to Minefield where the raider gang is attacking and suddenly you can't see anything and get killed) - I finally started crossing the river and hoping for the best as far as rads went.
Also in Fallout 3, sometimes you'd fall through the mesh and it was like walking in tar.
Anything like that in Fallout: New Vegas?

This is counted as both GLITCH AND EXPLOIT.
Go to Vikki and Vance's Casino after waiting three days outside Primm. Now, once your inside, explore the place for a while. Thugs will appear and demand your caps. Instead of handing over your money, give them a storm of bullets.
Again, go outside Primm and wait three days. After that, enter the Casino again, and it should up and running. Go to the cashier and trade your caps (or any other currency) for chips.
Now, here comes the best part.
Instead of taking your chips when you try to turn it in, she doesn't take them AND STILL GIVES YOU THE CAPS!
So, I had +200,000 caps in my purse, with a stupid grin on my face when I went out. Easy, not-so-time-consuming and makes you moronically rich.
(But to make this exploit work, complete the quest 'My Kind Of Town')
For those who have trouble getting caps to buy that Anti-Material Rifle? I recommend this one.
The only drawback of this glitch/exploit is that it breaks the purpose of some of the gameplay. It seems out of place when your lvl. 2 character is mowing down molerats with Assault Carbine, now ain't it?

I won't deny using the duplication glitch and an enchanted ring to make Septims when emergency Septims were needed though...

FO3 needed some DLC that had extra stores (with unique merchandise) in it to spend in, instead of more ways to make money.
One thing I liked about Oblivion is that I could go broke frequently, and have to earn up some more Septims.

Then tonight when I got home I downloaded the DLC and Xbox made me take an update - now it is crashing every few minutes. I deleted the DLC, it is still crashing - so it must be the update. I am going to the hard drive and delete it if I can, see if it stops crashing.
So I am stuck on top of Black Mountain, the game crashes every two seconds, and I am standing like a dummy attracting deathclaws to me. (meaning I can't fast travel out of there either. GAAAAH !!!! Bethesda-itis (n):
1. Spontaneous breakdown of previously stable video game engine software upon update being made. This is usually accompanied by two further updates, one of which fixing nothing and breaking even more, to actually fix the problem, at which point, ten more have appeared to replace it.
I just hope my PC is ready for it, received NV for Christmas, myself.

There should be a "clear system cache" option for your hard drive in the Memory section of the dashboard.
If not, this is the old-fashioned method, so be warned that it clears EVERY patch you've downloaded AND clears all DLC from your disk.
1. Dashboard
2. Go to the System menu
3. Open the Memory menu
4. Highlight your Hard Drive, press Y
5. Press this button sequence: X, X, LB, RB, X, X.
6. Select "yes" when prompted to perform maintenance on your hard drive.

Okay, I had already deleted the DLC and it was still crashing. I cleaned the cache on the 360 hard drive - (as above) next - it was definately the patch causing the problem. All crashes stopped as soon as I deleted it.
I unplugged the USB cable from my 360 because they get in a snit if you don't want them uploading BS that is breaking your game and console.
So YEAH !!! I got to play it all night again with no crashes !!! Now...I have to go to work bleary eyed.
It isn't as good as Fallout 3 - so far none of the quests I have stumbled across in my travels have worked properly - except the BOS female companion - I like her much better than the BOS girl they stuck you with in FO3. Give her a stimpak and she's indestructablek. When she runs out, she is hilarious. "Tell my parents .... "
