Thanks, BSD. I was just a little pissed off and then 3:30 in the morning I just got and up typed this up in five minutes. It's just something I wanted to out there, I know it's nothing special. Thanks for reading it.

Dos anyone have a comment for this? BSD, you can give me your honest opinion. It will only help me after all....

I'm glad no one reads these poems.

What's yours

You get long walks out in the cold when selfish drivers fill the road
You get all of the words with Y in Spanish that you don't say right
You get the residue that jetplanes leave that line the sky with silver strings
You get every single thing you've said, it's all recycled through my head

You get dough that's fried into a ring draped in glaze, and stuffed with cream
You get small mistakes that take us to all the places great to view
You get nuget, caramel, chocolate bars so please give them my top regards
You get rainbows that I don't ascend and the world that's over them

You get a guy that's in a hole so deep he can't climb out but won't retreat
You get a mind that wears you like a glove, and a heart that can't let go of love
You get everything I think about that causes me to scream aloud
You get every single dream I've had that makes my mornings feel so bad

Hmmm, lots of classic rhyming. Hope this POS isn't out of place here.

My heart descends,
And cannot be brought back.

Weakened by your presence,
Yet made so much stronger.

My only wish: To convey my love to you.
Or to take you in my arms;
But it'd be no good;
Causing only harm

Unto us both.

Resisting temptation,
Staving frustration,
No chance for elation.

You've caused me to feel;
No longer so callous and cold.
You, I long to hold,
As we age and grow old.

I feel no longer so bold.

Yet my love remains, forever

Untold.

And to think I almost gave this to my crush too. Foolish.

Another one writen when I was seven, with a little tinkering.

Lost Potential

We put our baggage over our heads, to protect from that which we, ourselves cannot survive. With the pleasurable thought that our possesions will be found by our new selves again.
Unused reused thrown away, forgotten again and again as life dictates we should.
We open the door.
Through life and death, insubstancial material.
Again and again. Unused, forgotten.

The potential behind the door now unlocked;
To be unused reused thrown away forgotten.
The door we opened now shut.

The boy asks the man:
"May I go through?"
And the man says:
"You're $hit out of luck."

He stares at the man with envious eyes;
Who has seen through the door.
Once opened, twice closed.
Glaring with hate and despise.
The man is oblivious, can't tell, doesn't know.
Unused and forgotten.
Seeds of death that we sow.
Our possesions unused.
Fury at an unseen foe.
Potential forgotten.
Life reused.
Everything thrown away.
Could it have been different?
A fate we will never know.

You are what you eat, and I have tasted the flames.
The fire hath consumed me, so it has become I.

Opressive liberation,
Constant contemplation,
Complete saturation,
Useless infatuation,
My... indoctrination,
Denied salvation,
Self-preservation.

Fire has me.
Firestorm is all that I am, consuming my everything.
(Has it become my emotion?)
Gripped in release, a fire in wait; explosion.
The uncontainable contained.
Truth in lies. Lightening in a bottle.

Nihilistic sociopath,
this is not power,
Have I become too powerful?

Just trying to flood this place with my poems. I wish someone else was on to tell me if this is crap or not.

Prarbola Nexus,
When One Is Made

one is made two
two is made four
four are one
five is one
six is one
-when one becomes too.
Separate the sixth,
destroy the seventh
betrayal of the three
one is none as well.
Outside; the seventh, the eighth, the ninth.
Will and control; the one.
Power of mind; second.
Ravenous rage and cruelty; third.
Honor, strength, fury; four.
Past and pain; fifth.
Love and sorrow; six.
...And all become one again.

On This Night

I see her this night,
her face beautiful,
under the starlight,
On this night.

I try to get closer this night,
as close as I can get,
it feels right,
On this night.

I pull her to me this night,
our bodies meeting,
my goal in sight,
On this night.

I force her this night,
as she pulls away,
she's so tight,
On this night.

She resists this night,
futiley,
restrained by my might,
On this night.

Her screams pierce the night,
I hold her down,
don't look so contrite,
On this night.

She hits me this night,
sobering quickly,
she tries to fight,
On this night.

She gives up this night,
laying paralyzed, crying,
I fill her, flowing, white,
On this night.

She's so sad this night,
"Why!?" she cries,
the source of my plight,
On this night.

I leave this night,
towards the shadows,
I take flight,
On this night.

I watch from a distance this night,
people gather,
Saying, "It's alright.",
On this night.

This isn't the first night,
many times before,
I've filled her with spite,
On this night.

She'll never accept me, this, or any other night,
I love her, hate her,
in my life, the only light,
On this night.

I'll do it again tomorrow,
to be consistent,
moon shining bright,
On this night.

She leaves this night,
I've known her,
her caress, her bite,
On this night.

Every night,
I serve her in this way,
the only constant in her life,
On this night.

I love this night,
keeping her aloft,
wind to her kite,
On this night.

So high this night,
up here,
can we see from such heights?,
On this night.

More pain this night,
the world left to see,
so many wonderful sights,
On this night.

A breeze this night,
a jostle,
causing her a fright,
On this night.

So pretty this night,
beautifully attractive,
too much to write,
On this night.

Seeing her this night,
long hair, blue eyes,
such an amazing sprite,
On this night.

Touch the night,
can't hold back,
as my sences ignite,
On this night.

I plan this night,
I scheme,
my ions excite,
On this night.

A school night,
this night,
entertaining? quite,
On this night.

Disturbed this night,
her intoxicating smile,
her looks invite,
On this night.

I hold this night,
I saved her,
Her shining knight,
On this night.

Torn away this night,
our hearts come back,
to reunite,
On this night.

Another night,
she'll come again,
to my delight,
On this night.

Next night,
previous nights,
I dream of her tonight,
On this night.

Last night,
what I want I'll take,
no need to be polite,
On this night.

Other nights,
they say it's wrong,
but they're uptight,
On this night.

This night,
I can't control my emotions,
no aid of poems to recite,
On this night.

As they stormed the city, she watched in horror
Men bathed in the darkness, they burnt everything in their path
Killing friends and family, the advanced to her corridor
Breaking down her door, they beat her, raped her, stole everything she had
She cried and wept, but made no sound
Enraged from the lack of ...'enthusiasm' they began to abuse her even more
She let but one stammered breath, and they crushed her mouth
Leaving the small city, they left her battered and broken.... till nine in nine in the morning

'Why am i alive!' she spat dryly, echoing down her house
And then... when all was but lost, The embodiment of darkness reached out his cold hands
'Lovely morning...my new sister' A man in robes said, wiping the blood from her mouth
And then she was lifted, taken away to a loving, dark , foreign land

She was made anew...her body stronger, her heart colder
Loved by her new brothers and sisters, Her family anew
Mother and Father, They Blessed her with nothing more than a loving hand on her shoulder
Blood soon bleed through her fingers, so did remorse and regret too

And so she became the very thing that had bested her
Embraced by the night's hold, She had fallen across a traveling bunch
Men of great terror, the men that caused her constant torture
She advanced to one man, holding herself to his own lips... smelling her own blood with his lunch
Being a young marauder, he reached under her robe...hoping for a feel
But all too soon, he fell limp, throwing him onto the dirt road
Undressing her self, she donned the darkness apon her throat... to her heels
Cloak hitting the dust, it seemed like the bright stars themselves passed their clothes' folds
And stood alone one man....the main man who took everything she used to love and feel
Grasping his hilt, her hands sent his own into paralasys
Brought to his knees, he wimpered as he felt his fear overcome his battle hardened heart
And then he looked to the skies, asking for anu's forgiveness
But all he saw was a woman lost within her own thoughts....her emotions falling apart

And then... she locked on to his own eyes...both sharing the same memory
Then, her hands became like the claws of an eagle, falling apon the preyed
It came down with all her love, hate, pain, and agony
It tore through his eyes, his throat... his soul was severed and frayed

And soon came the rain...ever so peaceful...ever so cleansing
Then the blood was washed away from her soiled hands
She felt all the pain and heartache in her soul...there was no space for mending
Glaring out into the open, she felt that... returning to her family was the next big plan

Please tell me what you think...what can be corrected...and your overall thoughts of my piece!
(if i can delicious... u can too:)

I wrote this poem to make you happy
Because I decided that's all I care about
When you're ecstatic to your bones
I feel it doubly so

I hope that this can make you happy
Cause I decided I can't stand it when your down
When there's displeasure in your soul
I feel it doubly so

And I always feel so god damned happy
Whenever we're together and you laugh out loud
So laugh for reasons that you don't know
I feel it doubly so

And let the little things be at peace
Because I always know when you're upset now
And when something's not in your control
I feel it doubly so

And don't get caught in tragic gravity
Where air feels like it can make you drown
Or I would have to follow you below
And feel it doubly so

Have how ever many people that you need
Use me in any way that you can dream how
Maybe some day you'll need me alone
I'll love you doubly so

If we are the experiencers
Then is the experience just space and energy held in place by chemistry
Is life created randomly through a cosmic happening
When separate things act solidly through something called biology?

If a butterfly can make a violent sky half a world away
Because the currents it creates began to fluxuate
And a hundred dozen cousins help to operate
The oxygen as it begins to flow itself
Becoming strung together consciousness
Then are there a billion little variables unknown to the narrators
Working underneath the scene to make everything we see
Transforming tears to tidal waves and smiles into new-born babes?

If one day a tree can cave over deceased in the forest
But nobody's come around there that day to record it
Except for the ground that it found to absorb it
And the shrubs and the bugs who've all come to explore it
Then maybe the experience can take the reigns they call chaos
So a billion little variables unknown to the narractors and with no days off
Can work together as an army filling life with harmony we prayed for

If we are nothing but a coupling in a melody
In a giant song that takes so long it's called eternity
Then a tree will look just like a tree until there's no one there to see
A million billion subtleties that give us everything we need
And sometimes even what we dream

Here's a poem I wrote about - well, I'll see if you can figure it out. It's called "Epoch." I pretty much just wrote it in my spare time. Most of the second stanza is pretty much lifted from Poe, but I liked it because it fit.

Sure as King Harvest he is coming
To thresh, to purge, to burn, to drench, to destroy, to create
To shatter the leaden deadbolt on heaven's gate
And unleash the hounds of hell that they may run free

He rides a painted horse, whose name is Chronos
And whose colors shift day to day
And his face is not of Christ,
Nor of Mohammed,
Nor of Buddha,
Nor of Zeus and his kin
Nor of any Hindu or Egyptian god

Instead his countenance is legion
And forms anew with every change of season
His eyes are an abyss,
Dark, swirling pits of terror and rapture

Should you see him on the road, make way
Bid that he continue upon his path unmolested
Always moving; shiftless, glacial
A host of men and beasts of Earth in his thrall
Harpies without wings or claws

If you do not see him,
And he has come for you,
Do not despair
Nor resist his coming
Inevitably he will come, and when he is finished
Your broken body shall be tossed aside
Old parts devoured; new ones grafted on

"Leave the heart," he says
"Carve it into a new shape
That it may beat anew,
The rest you may take
And do with it what you will"

You lie there - helpless, natal
As all that you once thought immutable
Shrinks to dust before unshut eyes

You cannot watch.
You cannot help but see.
You are terrified.
And yet you laugh.

For what is laughter but a scream interrupted
By fits and coughs of knowledge of one's own absurdity?
Fleeting expressions of what you feel
When encountered with the unexpected

Things which you could never have dreamed of
Are dispensed to you freely every day
Imagination exceeding that of any man
Incalculable; better than perfect

So fear not laughter
And fear not fear
And welcome that which in its passing
Brings them near

I'm feeling sad right now so here's a few of mine.

Goodbye Forever

She says goodbye
Her soul is about to die
She heart is breaking
She feels it aching
Now, a year late
He doesn’t feel hate
But she doesn’t listen
She has already said goodbye
Forever

The World is Dark Again

Guardian angels
Come and go it seems
Glittering bright jewels
Happiness balances on a beam
Suddenly they disappear
And the world is dark again

Teenager's Wish

If tomorrow morning
You’re still only a friend
I guess I’ll have to stay up,
Until 11:11 again

The Homeward Turn

During summer vacations, I rode my bicycle around our circular gravel drive

For hours at a time, filling the long days with epic journeys that always

Found me safely back at my door

I stayed in the tracks worn by cars, avoiding the loose rocks in the center

Except to occasionally cross to the other side

I joyously splashed through the puddles, leaving a single a track

That would only last for another circuit or two

And so I rolled in constant loops, a quarter-mile at a time, noting the familiar—

The slight rise just beyond the garage,

The scent of pine needles and of red clay dust

The first turn, where going straight would mean

Launching myself down the long hill that would carry me to wider, wilder roads—

So I always made the homeward turn, until I was grown and moved away

And when my father died and we came to stay with Mother for a time,

I brought my new bicycle and circled the drive

Trying to turn back the clock to some earlier summer

Much was changed- the gravel was pavement, my old bicycle gone-

Along with the muscle tone of my legs

But the trees abide, as the Earth abides,

Spinning forever around its long circle.

This is something my friend Caitlyn wrote for me. I thought it was good and posted it for her.

The deathly hollow, no sound emanates, 'cept
The shrill cry of sparrosong.
A man wearing wrinkled skin appears in the foggy mist.
Whispered articulations escape his defiled lips and he
said: "The tree, the ancient tree, worn and
tire'd through the years. Go there quick and
swift, fly to the elderly maple."
You wander far and wide,
Legs moving elegantly,
But no tree could be found.
Then, by meer luck you stumble
Upon a sapling.
Bent low you stare at the engraved words
In the stonewalled bark.
You wonder how such young life could be so ancient as you look
It read:
"The wind that whispers,
the earth that binds,
The love you cherish,
The feeling's divine.
I am dubbed Sylencin,
The laugh of the child,
The quiet of the swamp.
I wane to the moon's desire,
And I cry to the sun's glare
I am like the fire that no touch would dare."

Zalphon
The Moonwalker

I walk in the shadows,
I stare at the moon,
I watch the stars,

I am the shadow in the night,
The creature of the void,
You've seen me before,
You'll see me again,

I am immune to your beatings,
Impervious to your traps,
Invulnerable to your guns,
Yet, your tears are like poison,

I walk in the shadows of the ebon night,
I bathe in the freezing chill of the dusk,
I watch the darkness corrupt people,

I have protected the weak,
Attacked the wicked,
Yet, your tears always bring me down,

I know your name,
I know your story,
I know your life,
I have empathy for all, but not as much as for you,

Your tears are like Nightshade,
Your eyes are like sparkling gems,
Your skin is pristine,

I've seen you fall,
I've seen you rise again,
I've watched you destroy the shadows,
I've watched you embrace the darkness,

Yet, your tears are my bane,
Your anguish is my terror,
You're are my hero,
When you're glum,
I am too,

I'll never leave,
Because you are one of my dearest friends,
I'll be alive long after you, yet I'll always remember,
I am the Moonwalker, Eternal,

However, I will always remember,
My closest friends,
Which I count you amongst...

Tears of a Champion

I take a beating,
I show no pain or woe,
I am stunned by a powerful punch to the skull,
I show no pain or woe,

I watch you cry,
Tears burn my face as they roll down,
Your's burn my very soul like acid on flesh,

I watch you in depression,
I feel a weight around my soul,
It drags me down into a dark abyss,

I am here to listen,
I always will be,
Yet whenever you're sad,
So will my anguish,

Whenever I watch you suffer,
I show no rage, no woe,
I am slowly eaten away internally,

I have watched death,
I have been in it's icy grip,
I have been in what should've been a watery grave,
I am here, but still weakened by your emotion,

I will always be here,
Eternally...

The Raven and the Eagle

I hate you,
I hate you so direly,
You soar the skies and are praised for your beautiful coat of feathers,
I wish I could watch you die,
But if anyone ever hurt you,
I'd watch them die a thousand deaths before they succumbed to the true death,

I hate you,
I'd love to watch every feather you have be ripped out, one-by-one,
However, I could never bare to let it come to you,
For if anyone did, I'd rip their eyes out,

To them, you're a divine creature,
To them, I am the Harbinger of Hell,
I hate you, in ways you can't even fathom,
I'd love to watch your talons ripped out, to see the look of anguish, but to the fool who dares, my talons await,

I'd love to watch you burn in the pits of Hell,
I'd love to see you suffer,
But I'd always trade places,
I will hate you until time stops and all is naught,

I'll always want to kill you, Brother,
But I'll always be ready to kill anyone who harms you,
My soul is divided,
As it always will be,
One part will always wish to see your flesh draped on hooks,
One part will always be there to protect you,
Forever my soul shall fight an eternal war,
Forever I shall wait for one side to win and peace to come,
But it'll never come, Brother,

You'll always be safe from my talons,
Even if I wish to use them to tear you to shreds,
I'll never be able to kill you, no matter how much I wish it,
Brother, I love you, but one day I hope I can finally shed the blood,
That gives you life,
But I'll never do it,
For my internal struggle is eternal...

Zalphon, you have such a rare gift!!!! These are AWESOME !!!!! I tried to comment some of your poetry on the "Scribe's Corner" but it wouldn't let me comment that section. You ROCK !!!
saqin
Some really amazing poems here, though I've only had time to read about half on them. Anyway's, I figured I'd contribute with a poem of my own. Actually, it's the only writing that I've ever gotten published. Wrote it specifically for the school yearbook last year. ^^

The four seasons:

Winter, spring, summer and autumn
Together they make a year

The winter preserves it all,
keeps it in place so that no harm may come
It gives us time to sit by the fire,
think of what we've done

The spring brings warmth again,
helps the cold to release it's grasp
The spring is a season of love,
to find new friends of this world

The summer lights up it all,
it shoves all the bad things away
For us to rest on the warm sandy beach,
for the sun to color us red
it brings to us the good things in life

The autumn is when we go back to school,
when we take strength from the good times we've had
It is dark and cold for the winter is close,
and we light candles in our homes
It prepares us for that which is about to come

Nice job, saqin! Most poetry simply makes my head hurt and eyes sort of glaze over, but this was nice and easy to understand! I liked it. smile.gif

Someone said once, here on chorrol, that every one of your characters need to be your best friend when you write. I think it might've been Treydog, but I can't for the life of me find the exact post. However, I made Felisa my best friend, which is why I needed to write this. I've needed to get this out of my head for quite some time, and yesterday I finally found the words. And so, this is what I'd say to her if we ever met. I haven't given it any name, since I don't know what to call it.

Scream into the northern wind,
Stare into the frozen lake.
He wrapped a hand around your heart,
It remained when his breath waned.

You sit upon a broken stone.
When your friends laugh,
You wonder how.
Will the pain ever pass?

You think of yesterday,
You mourn tomorrow.
The yesterday that can't be changed,
The tomorrow that will never be.

If your hours ran out,
I wonder what you'd do.
Would you fight until the end,
Or welcome his embrace?

Follow your heart,
Don't let it go dark.
Despite what they think,
You're not the devil's spawn.

Ask Sithis for another day.
Don't look back.
You wouldn't be you,
If you hadn't met him.

So don't wish that you never did.
treydog
Saquira- there is so much power and grief there. It gets to the heart of experiencing profound loss. And yet, even in the darknesss- there is a core of strength- a promise of perserverance.

Simply brilliant.
Saquira
treydog: I'm glad I was able to convey those feelings. Thank you.

I was just looking through my documents and found another poem. I don't remember when I wrote it, but I switched some words that didn't fit and think it's good enough to post now.

Your immortality

I once heard tales,
of your immortality.
I once saw,
you strike down a god.
A javelin of fire and smoke,
they said of you.

Bowstrings ring,
hearts no longer beat.
Drums with quick beats,
love without passion.
Shining steel reflects the sun,
headless bodies litter the ground.
All because,
of your immortality.

Because of your invalidity,
we lost all.
The heart that beat,
cracked in half.
Bowstrings cut,
Drums without hides.
Studded steel fall from limp hands,
enemies new emerge through the grass.
You tricked us once though never more,
for it never was your immortality.
King Of Beasts
Night Of The Hunter

As I stand in the cold of night,
With the breeze against my face,
As darkness ensnares the land,
As the full moon rises above the mountains,
And the star-filled sky watches the earth,
The primal instinct of a beast takes over,
The urge to hunt,
The urge to run,
The urge give in to the power of the full moon,
The hunter is me,
I am the hunter,
The moon and the sun,
The symbols of my two sides.
One the hunter,
On the host,
And as darkness ensnares the land,
And the full moon rises over the mountains,
And the star-filled sky looks down upon earth,
The night of the hunter begins.
The prey fear me
For I am the hunter,
And the hunter is me.
The prey run and hide,
They lock their doors,
They close their windows,
They hold their children close,
In hopes that the hunter,
That I,
Don't choose them as the prey,
On the night if the hunter.
The guards prepare to defend,
I prepare to hunt,
With supernatural strength and speed,
Nobody can escape me,
On the night of the hunter.
