AC/DC. Oh, mALX, great to see you support the Aussies!!
Me, however, I grew up as a heavy metal teenager of the 80's.
My fav band was Kreator. German thrash all the way!!
I also love early Cure songs. The 'faith' album was insane for its time.
Primary, the funeral party, the drowning man- all classics.
Interesting collection of bands SubRosa.
I thought you were a goth girl. No the Cure, Depeche Mode, Ramones or Sex Pistols, what is going on??

Good ol' Iron Maiden
Slayer
Iced Earth
Metallica
Morbid angel
Vader
---
More recent bands
Behemoth
Nightwish (everyone has his/her defects lol)
The Levellers (love the Zeitgeist album)
Cryptopsy

I have all of the latter, I would just not rate them as my favorite bands is all. They all have some good albums, but not enough for me to rank them that high. The others have a
lot of good albums, imho.
Disintegration is my favorite Cure album, and
Pictures of You my fav song of theirs. My fav goth band would have to be
Sisters of Mercy though, closing in before Bauhaus (I love
Bela Lugosi's Dead). While
The Clash is my fav punk band.

Radiohead rules! They're rock/electronica/metalica, and sometimes, they are kind of, I dunno, like, calm.

PINK FLOYD....hands down. It is the one band I said I would quit a job to see. Having moved to New York in 1988, I was finally able to see them in concert. It was the best show I ever went to, and I didn't have to quit my job. But alas, I am back in dixie and good concerts like what I was used to in New York are a thing of the past.

They used to get some good bands down in Knoxville, Tennessee but they don't seem to anymore - not lately, anyway. Slipknot was there a couple years ago, that was the biggest name I've seen there in years - nothing like a decade or so ago when they used to pull in Aerosmith, GNR, Molly Hatchet, Whitesnake, Great White, etc.
PS - have to agree on Pink Floyd, the closest I've gotten was to see the tape of the 1994 concert where they reunited (London) to play that one concert. Too bad their talent was wasted for so many years because they can't bring themselves to get along with each other. Still, what they did put out will be played long after their grandchildren are gone, they are awesome !!!
