Of all the Ashkans, he is my favourite. You've got to love a guy who sends the world's greatest hero on a quest to find him a Dunmer of the female kind.

Brilliant. I especially loved the bit with Sethyas passing out and being waked up by a Guar.
The Erabenimsun was done good as well, showing that Sethyas is an expert at ending vital functions. I thought he would go and snipe through the thin skins of those yurts instead of frontal confrontations but nevermind.
Personally, I found this tribe to be somewhat lacking compared to the others. At least you felt like you did a good thing with the Ahemussa, the Urshilaku tested you fully and were willing to accept you upon proving your heritage and Kaushad was plain hilarious. Here, nothing but slaughter. The symbolic meanings of the artefacts were nice but still, I would have preferred a diplomatic solution rather than fighting.

Post Machine! Hoo boy!
Excellent stuff as usual Black. Sethyas finalizing the Zaniab Tribe Nerevarine Trial was quite amusing and the following trial was nice and gritty. Love the storytelling!
With this Trial finally finished, it'll be interesting to see whether Sethyas immediately goes to the High Fane or does some other things.

If I could sum up your story in one word I think epic would fit the bill perfectly. Your story has romance, intrique, action, ocassional comedy, and many other elements of a great tale. So......... comtinue please, Black Hand!

Sethyas has certainly gained much confidence in his combat abilities. Not long ago, he would never have dared to take on two supposedly seasoned warriors in a fair fight. I will look forward to seeing how he deals with the remaining prophecies.

Haha, my hunch proved to be correct. All praise the hunch!
Now, this update was excellent. The way Sethyas handled the problem was good, though he might want to make sure he doesn't always ask the councillors to trust him. He might lose their faith if everything he does goes directly against what they think.
One final nitpick though. Did Sethyas just forget about Ilmeni? First he arrives at Bal Isra, all happy and stuff. Then he is forced to blink away. After finishing his bussiness, he goes to the Urshilaku instead of Bal Isra. Though I do believe that Bal Isra lies on the way there so he might drop by for a moment.

No offense to Serene (or her creator spirit Minque), but somehow I never really thought of Serene as Archmistress material. Perhaps my judgment is clouded by the usual "leadership through might" paradigm that dominates the game and most fanfics. Having said that, I think that in real life Serene would be exactly the right sort of person to lead; she is compassionate and caring, but also firm and capable.
I did enjoy how Sethyas convinced the council to accept Serene as Archmistress. I will look forward to hearing about his return to the Urshilaku.

A Serene cameo! And a good one at that! Their conversation and examination of each other was fantastically done. I feel that Serene would make a capable Archmaster though.
Keep up the great work, Black Hand!

Sethyas obviously doesn't like the temple. I can't blame him though. Still, wielding Sunder or Keening without Wraithguard is a dangerous idea. To get Wraithguard, he needs Vivec. (Though he doesn't know that yet.)

Looks like Sethyas control over his emotions can be broken. Though, I admit, the Temple does have that affect to those claiming to be the Nerevarine. Excellently written display of this emotion all the same.
I wonder if Sethyas will actually pay a visit to Vivec out of his own free will now...

Oh..My...Goodness...these two updates were really special! Your interpretation of my Serene was quite outstanding! The conversation between Seth and her was really good, now let´s hope she´ll be as good as Archmaster as they think!
The second update showed a very intriguing way of getting into Saryoni´s chambers! Great work Blackie! And those poems and the sermon....woah....
I´m just speechless!

The Mighty Meeting with Vivec! I've been waiting for this! I always liked how a lot of answers are made when speaking with him, yet there's still some that go unanswered. You wrote that aspect perfectly.
I can't wait to see the building up to the conclusion of the main quest!

Thanks for a couple of spectatular installments. The meeting with Vivec was particularly enjoyable. I really liked the intercalation of Nerevar's thoughts and words into Sethyas' conversation with Vivec; it made me feel like he really was Nerevar reborn.

Oh aye...I agree ..I fully agree. To make Vivec that "alive" and conversate him like that it´s just wonderfully brilliant!
