Since I don't know how many of you view the "So, What Sports do you Follow?" thread, I decided to post a link. Now as a warning, this link is of the final minutes of a Mixed Martial Arts fight that ends in a knockout. So if you're against watching two people fight (proffesionally), DO NOT CLICK THE LINK!
Other than that, enjoy. Watching this knockout made me jump out of my seat from how exciting it was. This was a fight that happened last Saturday for UFC's "The Ultimate Fighter Finale 4". Which was a reality TV series where people were fighting in order to be the number one contender for their respective weight World Title. This was fight features Scott Smith vs Pete Sell, both competitors eliminated from the TV series.

Hey, everyone, long time no see.
Sorry if I haven't been posting too often (not at all), as I've been having a pretty hectic life lately. I still don't have much time to post even now, seeing as I'm moving in with a friend at the end of the month. After that happens I won't even have the chance to ever go here, seeing as I'll be working two jobs and taking classes at the local community college.
Well, long time no see... talk? whatever, anyways, good luck with college and the whole nine yard

That is excellent! One bit of advice- take the game as it is; try to resist the temptation to compare it too closely to MW. A little over a month ago, after a long break, I came back to Oblivion with that rule in mind. It made a big difference in my game experience to just treat it as a "new" game- which is, after all, what it is. You will have a grand time with it.

Planning on buying a friends tickets for Iron Maiden as well, since I didn't catch that until it was sold out but we'll see.

I agree with that, when I got it I was a little disappointed although I wasn't one of those people who go "Oh no! Its the end of the world, Bethseda betrayed us"; but I stopped playing for a while because my computer broke but when I got it back I could remember all the things I was disappointed with and playing it again really took me back and I think I enjoyed it more than morrowind, there is a lot of things you don't see when you focus on the disappointments.

Well, I apologize to all the Morrowind-lovers (particularly Metal Mallet, Black hand, and Jack Cloudy) but I never really liked Morrowind enough to get immersed. But Oblivion was a different story (I actually know my way around Cyrodiil... Vardenfell, that's a different story).

Haha, Revan. While I do enjoy some aspects of Oblivion, I don't find it terrible, just a little out of my element (I want to eventually become godly! I didn't like how certain creatures stay at your level. I wanna be bane to all evil / good / whatever), I guess I have more preference with Morrowind. Though both games I haven't played in awile, I've just been far too busy to fit either in my schedual.
I haven't been gaming period lately, it kinda sucks.

Dogs rock!
Regarding animals, damnit I get so frustrated when reading the news of this fifteen year old boy getting attacked by a great white - half his leg got pulled off but he managed to survive, and then I read that a helicopter is after this shark and it will most likely be killed.
And I'm discussing this with a friend you know, if I would have shot him in the leg with a gun and was meaning to do so as well I wouldn't exactly get a death sentance. But because we are intruders to the sharks territory and the shark follows it's instincts it's suppose to be killed? I get frustrated about such and I'm looking for a discussion as well since things are going a bit slowly hehe...

Well, another reason for some turbulence between us and them, is because people tend to judge things from a sentient point of view. And of course, they forget that animals aren't sentient.
Anyway, sharks think differently then we do. And they don't regard the ocean like their property (like we consider cities and livestock to be ours). But then certain species of shark are more aggresive then others, for instance: Hammerheads almost never attack humans (and they don't have much of a rep), Bull sharks are incredibly aggresive (they attack nearly anything at the least amount of provocation), and Great whites have a bad rep because most shark attacks (that get reported to the public) are theirs.
So
some sharks actually attack people for little reason, but there are times where attacks are really misunderstandings. For starters, great whites attack from below and that means they look up at their prey (the common "seal" mistake). Another reason, GW sharks don't have hands and fingers, so they use their mouths to identify things (they bite things that are unknown to them). Of course this exploratory bite is just as dangerous for the creature in question as it would be an actual one.
And things like splashing the surface and making disturbances in the water can entice them into come close. In fact, back in WW2 naval personel were told to splash about and make lots of fluctuations in the water to ward away sharks (because not much was known about sharks at the time).

I think when I'm older (and move out) I'll get a cat (a black one I hope).

I don't know.. If it can be proven that a shark (any animal) can gain a taste for human blood/flesh and recall that when they travel to point A, they can get a free meal, then I'm all for hunting the buggers.
But again, I stress the point. We are part of nature too, they attack, we defend, we attack, they defend. Its the circle of life. Btw, did you know dolphins are revenge killers and have casual sex? Thought the last one was funny
