The Tale of Telina Delvanni, Chapter 5.
The Rise of Great House Telvanni
-“My name is Llovyn Salvu, Wizard of the house, and I have been assigned to you as your advisor…so would you like to hear the councils current focus”? I answered him with a promptly yes, so he smiled and continued. “The council is complaining about the gap Gothrens death made, so I suggest that you instate a new Master, to take residence in his former tower. These are the candidates.
-“Mallam Ryon Gothrens old mouth, I’ve heard that he is drowning his sorrows in Fara’s Hole in the Wall”.
-“The second one is Lady Zubadayah, daughter of Lady Zafirbel…a rare beauty that one is, she is half Chimer, half Dunmer. You will find her on the docks of Tel Mora”. Hmm, strange half Dunmer half Chimer, that was one I would have to meet personally, so I walked down towards the docks, ready for a boat trip. The same as with my stronghold I was given an item to get back to my chambers here in Sadrith Mora, only this time it was an amulet with a powerful drain health as well, which I could unleash on my enemies.
The trip was a comfortable one, and I was soon over in Tel Mora. Finding Zubadayah was not difficult, I only needed to find the first person who had her right side golden skin, and her left side the ashly grey that was normal amongst us Dunmer. Her face was striking, and she had a kind of divine upheaval beauty around her, almost as she was from a different world than the rest of us.
-“Exuse me sera, but you must be Lady Zubadayah”?
“Who asks”? she said. “Telina Delvanni, Arch-Magister of Great House Telvanni…I’m offering you a job as Master, if you wish it, as soon as you accept you can find a Mouth, and take up residence in the tower of Tel Arhun”.
She looked at me for a bit, pondering on her decision. “Deal, I’ll find a Mouth and take up residence in Tel Arhun”. She turned and walked towards the tower of Dratha…”Wait a moment, I have a question for you”, I yelled.
She stopped, and turned again. “Why is it that your skin is half golden half ashly”? I said to her. “Because I’m the daughter of Lady Zafirbel one of the original founders of Great House Telvanni, and Lord Vehk, Azura granted every daughter of my line to be born with the split skin of Chimer and Dunmer, to show that there is still hope for our race”, then she walked away, leaving me standing there.
After a few moments, I gathered myself, and went for a piece of fried fish at the local inn, before I went back to Sadrith Mora. “I’ve convienced Lady Zabadayah to join the council as a Master”, I told Llovlyn.
-“Exellent”, he smiled, “the councils current focus is now to bring the Mages guild down, would you like to destroy the guild here on Vvardenfell”? he asked nervously.
This required some thinking. Ok, The Mages Guild had never been actually good to me, the had called me several things, taken unnecessary high payment for me being Telvanni, I had more than once been threatned on my life when I had been in a guildhall lately…and back when I lived in Cyrodiil, they had tried to get me arrested for being a necromancer (I had refused point blank to join their guild )…and not to mention they made many people who offered magical training have “unexpected accidents”, and the last thing was that they currently had a monopoly on magical training here on the island, and they would destroy the house, if they had the chance to it…”I’ll make sure the guild is destroyed personally”, I told Llovyn after a few minutes thinking.

awesome first reply is mine!!
This is great, wow the mages guild really is worse than I thought..... I wonder if Telina will slaughter every single guild hall on the island personally.
She sometimes seems
evil.

Interesting start. I approve of the choice of a new master; certainly the symbolism of the half chimer should not be underestimated.
In contrast to Lord Revan, I hope that Telina can find a non-combat option to take out the Mages' Guild. Something involving political intrigue and subtlety, not simply blasting fireballs everywhere. Afterall, it's one thing to piss off the mages, but I'm not sure that she should risk bringing the entire empire down on the Telvanni. Regardless of the path she chooses, I will look forward to finding out.

He smiled broadly at me. “Ok, first I think we should make the two most important guild stewards, and possibly make them join us. Bribe Edwinna Elbert, their leading member within the Dwemer, and Skink-In-Three-Shades, who is an expert on the sixth house. Tell him that we have mutual interest in his cause, and can pay him better.
Ok, so bribing Edwina in Ald Rhuun, and try to turn Skink in Wolverine Hall, by telling him of our mutual interest…that would be easy, I could see no bloody things here. Sometimes I wonder if the gods love to toy with our lives.
-“Oh sure I’ll join your House” Edwinna said…”IF you manage to get me a Dwemer coherer and 10.000grant”. Typical, now I needed to go out and find possibly one of the rarest Dwemer items one can think of, and give her ten grand…and my day had just started.
-“Skink House will join, after getting amulet of Dagoth house and 15.000 drakes, no sooner”. Ok that was even worse, getting an amulet of House Dagoth meant wading into a pestilent lair filled with corprus beasties and other foul things. Now I had actually heard of a sixth house base in a cavern called Hassour, in the Foyada Mamaea, which thank Azura was only half an hours walk from Balmora.
But when I stood outside the cave door two hours later, I wished the road had been longer, but I took a deep breath and went inside, ready to shot steel laden death upon anything that moved in there.
The base had crude big red candles put up everywhere, and I got a chill in the bones just being there, and the smell…the smell of death and corrupted flesh filled up the entire cave system. I took the way to the left, and had only walked for thirty seconds before a corprus stalker came wagging towards me, arms extended like another zombie, but fortunately it seemed to have an allergic reaction for being sliced in two by my Ice Blade of the Monarch, which I had re-acquired for this situation…as it fell to the ground, as its flesh just seemed to grind into dust.
The next thing I ran afoul of was two ash slaves, who slung a spell each. One of the spells hit me in the chest, but I had learnt from my encounter with Gothren, and the Indoril armour made the spell bump neatly off, doing next to no damage. The ash slaves had it a bit worse, as I swung my sword in a deadly arc, which neatly severed the head from the torso on one of them, before I swung around and slammed the sword into the skull of the other who was cleaved from head to groin.
I stopped a bit to catch my breath, and I knew that although I could fight, it was mostly with small light not to mention fast blades. I had too little training to wield such big claymores as this one, but the only way to get experienced is actually to get out there and get the experience.
I walked a bit further, and pushed an unsuspecting ash ghoul into a lava pool, before walking up a kind of stone “bridge” to the shrine. Turning to face me was a rather pissed Dagoth, who acted like he wanted a good piece of Telina on the menu.
I had expected some foul sorcery, but the spell I got slammed towards me was not sane, I managed to dodge it fortunately, but when I looked behind me I could see the rock wall having been set alight. Only one other place had I seen something like that, although that time was much more powerful than this. Velas, the wizard who called himself a Theurgist or something had used a spell like the one that had just been used, only a bit more powerful…but I doubted that a Dagoth would go out and be trained as a Theurgist, which meant that (at least from my usual luck) there had to be a very powerful and dangerous cultist here, knowing his share of Theurgist spells.
The next spell woke me up from my dosed off statement, but painful it was, I got a spell straight on me, fortunately that was no way near as powerful as the first one, it was still immensely hot, and I could smell the foul stench of burned hair, so I felt at my head….DAMN, IT HAD BURNED MY HAIR!! I walked back up, walking carefully was out of the question, I ran in crossbows blazing, and my quickness had surprised the cursed being, as I managed to shot two bolts in the area of where his intestines should have been, but it stood there, yelling some other cantrip, but I’m afraid that it never managed to fulfil the sentence as a big ice claymore took the trip of getting buried inside its head.
Spitting of the being which was now twitching on the floor, I gulped down two potions, one to restore my health, the other one to boost my magicka. Before walking further I picked up the amulet it had around its neck, and set the shrine alight.
I walked with the outmost care through the corridors, not meeting anyone, not until a bog room, with a natural rock pillar standing in the middle. I could see two ash slaves, a lame corprus and a…a man, most likely the Theurgist. As silent as possible I loaded the crossbows, aiming them both at the man. Naturally you must not forget that we are talking about me here, and my luck. Not before had I fired the crossbows, before the lame corprus manages to stumble upon a rock, and take both bolts in the head and fall limp to the floor.
I screamed out in frustration, only to realize too late that I still had three more creatures or men to deal with. The man summoned up a fiery vortex of gargantuan size. I ducked behind the wall, only to leap even further behind, as the red had bypassed red, over to white, before it started to run like hot butter. So he was a magic user with extreme powers, and I was a person with a few nasty spells, and a rather big sharp sword…time for some clever thinking.
I sat down as the spells were flinged around me, consentrated, felt the mind of the simple ash slaves. I had never tried to take control of two before, and I’ll tell you it nearly drained me of my resolve, so it was a weakened version of me who ran like the lords Oblivion itself was behind me, towards the Theurgist, who was now fighting for his life as the two ash slaves. I screamed a brutal battlecry, before I swung around, and smashed the blade horizontally, cleaving the Theurgist and the two ash slaves in twain.
I sat down, panting heavily, dragging out the dagger the man had managed to shove into my shoulder. Drinking deeply from a restore health potion, I sat myself up, looking around. There were too many crates here for only be used as beholders for that vile meat these creatures ate, so I thought we were talking about smuggling. MY luck was even greater than I could have possibly imagined, one crate was filled up to the edge with scrolls, the other one was full of Dwemer artefacts, including a coherer. I grabbed the coherer, and then shipped the two crates to my Tel, for safe keeping.
I turned around, and looked down on the powerful spell caster, I smiled, this was my first victory, my first kill I was actually proud of, I had been totally alone, and cleansed out a sixth house base myself, including killing a Dagoth, and a spell caster, who had an arsenal of spells deadly enough to melt rock. This was something I would remember…forever. Probably as a symbol, I cut of his head, and had it sent to my Tel, along with a note that it would be set up on a pike, just outside my shroom.

Well poor Banden Indarys and his family .......at Bal Isra, didn´t she just put them to sleep? Soo she needs Redorans? Interesting! I´m looking forward to hear more about that!
Maybe there will be a Serene-update soon.......just have to make some installations...

Thanks for another intriguing update. You've certainly made the Ice Blade sound like a super weapon with the way it seems to slice through enemies like a warm knife through butter. I am glad that Telina has decided to recruit some of the mages rather than slaughtering them all; I'm sure it will turn out to be a mutually beneficial choice.

I don't know how many hours it took, but I've caught up as best as I could (I couldn't find chapter 1

).
I would just have to say that Telina's adventures are in epic proportions, from facing off against the Sixth House in this previous installment, to the Dark Brotherhood in Mournhold, to corrupt Telvanni like Gothren.
I'm really glad I got caught up with this, any later and it might've taken FOREVER. Can't wait to see the next update.

Well, ah yes...now that is actually a Telvanni quest, so I included it, since it is actually an illegally built stronghold. And yes please a new Serene update soon, long time since I got such good news.
And Lord Revan, she have never taken any real pride in a kill before, sure she have enjoyed a few of them, since it was people she actually hated...but the reason she was proud of that last kill there, is since she was actually inferior to that one....how would you feel if you had once been popular and good in about everything, then get kicked down into the mud(just a way of saying this), and lost about all of your skills and knowledge. Then you get back on track, and you actually manage to beat that big bully who have beat up anyone else who have tried on him...but you manage it, someone who is immensly stronger than yourself....I think you would have felt a bit proud dont you think?
But only a short one today.Edwinna took the coherer, packed her stuff, and followed me to the bank. There I took out the 10.000 septims she wanted, plus another 15.000 for Skink. “I think you better get away fast…I have no idea when the strike on the guild will be there, so you go up to the Telvanni council hall, and head on up to the Arch-Magister’ chambers, knock and wait for my advisor to come, he will assign an area for you”.
She bowed, and went back to the guild, I meanwhile took a translocation spell to Sadrith Mora. Skink was also quite happy when he got his amulet and money, and took a few seconds to pack, before he stormed out in a hurry. I smiled evilly to the mages around me, oh yeah soon you’ll be in more trouble than you can possibly imagine.
I walked back to my chambers, and then just sat down in my big throne, just to sit and have some rest. I awoke after something that seemed to be a minute. I felt freshly re-invigorated, and my pack seemed miraculously lighter than it had been yestere, and I had little or no trouble performing my more powerful spells. I had a bite of fried fish at Fara’s Hole in the wall, before talking to Llovyn again.
-“Yes Arch-Magister, both Edwinna and Skink are now a part of our house, so now over to step two…you must kill Arch-Mage Trebonius, I don’t care how you do it, just kill him…that will give control over to our spy who will for the moment remain anonymous…he will then make a few “problems”, and entrust House Telvanni with the Mages Guild, in order to stop all the rioting and rebellious mages that will undoubtly try to take control of the guild. This will weaken the guild so much, that Telvanni will be the sole trainers within magic and such here on the island”.
Ok, this was getting scary, kill the Arch-Mage, hmm, undoubtly a criminal act, so I just needed to make him try to kill me…or maybe, no that could not be. I pondered back and forth, before I came to my conclusion, quite simple, yet the same time much more subtle than the “storm in, crossbows blazing and make a hole in everything you see tactic”. My only problem was that my plan required me to walk into their main guild hall, which was filled up with the Mages Guilds finest, probably from my luck they were armed to the teeth in scrolls and destructive spells…so here I was walking into this enemy territory, to try and come with enough insults to make that fat greasy, not to mention arrogant pig that was Trebonius, to attack me…I don’t know if it was my usual Telvanni paranoia, or not…I just had a bad feeling about that idea.
I was almost shaking here as I walked into the Vivec Mages Guild. All the mages around me was gritting their teeth, and most likely making ready a nasty spell, or grabbing for the closest weapon. There at the bottom of the stairs sat Trebonius, in a chair, which was groaning under the weight.
-“Oi Trebonius, you fat pig, I’ve heard that you have been banned from all the bars and such here….you eat so much that there is nothing left for the customers…come over to my place, and you’ll be thinner than a needle when you get back”, I laughed loudly, and could see many of the mages trying their best to suppress a grin, if it was a good or bad thing I didn’t know.
Trebonius, had stopped up, before he arose, and stood before me…even now I could smell the stench of booze and food, but he was an imposing figure, wide of girth, and over a head taller than me.
-“Shut up…child of a mother of mine”, he said back. I admit I was greatly insulted by that comment, but I shook it off me, and so began a game of the tongue. My insults is something best not told here, but a great deal of the mages left, wiping their tears. But in the end it ended with Trebonius saying…”I could kill any Telvanni who is up against me, it’s like slaying a child”.
I grinned at him…”ok, today at noon, the Arena, use any spells of weapons you want”, then I turned and translocated back to my stronghold to change my attire.
I was standing in one of the rooms that led into the arena pit, I looked quite unarmoured, but underneath, I had the flexible Dark Brotherhood armour, and the Black Hand set over it. The black Hand set(for those who don’t know it’s a robe with gloves shoes and a hood, that enhances several skills), was just big enough for me to have the armour underneath, but that did not matter…all that mattered now was the match.

I walked in to the arena pit, and was met by roaring cheers from the audience, and smiled…this was my hour, I would prevail. In my hand was the staff of Magnus, slung at my back was two adamantium shortswords, ready to be used. I chalked my hands, before I walked up to Trebonius, to shake hands. I could see now that the fat pig, was clearly regretting, it was more than reputation here…it was his life at the line.
We shook hands, and stepped backwards, Trebonius was undoubtly readying a spell, I on the contrary, had managed to find out the true potential of the staff of Magnus, it had the ability if the user was strong enough, to stop spells, and feed the power into the user, granting him or her stronger power to his or her spells.
The bell struck noon, and the fight began, my plan was as simple as to make Trebonius tire and spend his magicka, while making me more powerful, as I was still only slightly better than your average mage, I just had the arsenal of right items, and the ability to think out of the box.
A fireball zoomed towards me, and so I fed power into the staff, and Trebonius was shocked to see the fireball stop in the air a few inches from me, and then suddenly it turned into purple mist, and was drained into the staff. I gasped as the staff gave me power, the unusual feeling of having so much power within you that is barely possible to contain. Another spell flew in, and was absorbed, Trebonius was getting increasing desperate, trying all kinds of different tricks.
I had to launch a spell soon, all this extra power made my head feel like it was on the way to split, I was barely in control of myself any longer, and I hated it. I fed all of my power into the staff, a massive ball of electricity formed above it, before it flew away and towards Trebonius in raging arcs of lightning. He screamed as the lightnings tore into him, and he collapsed to the ground. I formed up another spell, and sent it forwards.
This time, the room turned dark, the temperature plummeted and the very walls themselves was getting particles of ice on them. I could see people cuddling together, trying to keep the warmth in them. I formed up one last spell, a psychic shockwave that was normally only to be used to knock people off their feet, but with the staffs power, it would be…different. I unleashed the spell, all around me the sand at the pit whipped up into the air, almost blinding me, but I could hear the sickening thud of a body hitting the rock.
I threw the staff away, drawing both swords, running towards where Trebonius was. As by a miracle he had survived, although he looked like he had gotten the beating of his life, he was still alive, even worse he had a sick grin around his face…and the orb of incandescent fire making its way towards me explained why. The ball hit me, but I had not the time to scream, I just continued stumbling forwards, as the fire burnt its way into my flesh, I fell forwards, planting a sword in each of his lungs, then everything just turned black.
I woke up again, with a smiling Edd Theman standing above me, as well as Baladas. “W-what happened”? I said weak. “Trebonius died, and you fainted shortly afterwards, but still you won, so now the last part of the plan have started to form out…Tiram Gadar have now taken control of the guild, and is holding a long speech in the memory of Trebonius, and will afterwards discuss the plans for the …ah…survival of the guild”, he smiled trickly to me, and I could catch a hint of amusement in his eyes, so he definitely had something against the mages as well.

Jul 24 2006, 10:38 PM
I had spent most of my breakfast pondering if I had done the right thing...I had acted on my feelings again, Destroying the guild seemed just such a good idea at the moment, but now I was thinking, obviously a lot of people…no…innocent people was going to get killed, and I was too late to stop it. At least the power in the Staff of Magnus had been spent, and it would take years to recharge it….that staff was too scary for me to handle. All I could do now, was to make sure that I would never do such a thing again.
I was also thinking about my future, I was skilled with magic no one doubts that, but still there is much more out there, and if I was to survive in this world, I needed to be better and stronger, and I knew where I should go. I had heard Raina talk about this ancient Telvanni, who was quite feared some 800 years ago…he was now living in a hut on an island just outside Sadrith Mora, and it was always worth a try.
But before I was going, I needed some more training. And Manilian was more than happy to oblige. “Ok Ser Delvanni, we have been through shortswords, and longswords…remaining is the use of a claymore”.
We spent many long hours with strength training, as wielding a claymore was heavy, I knew that better than most. So my plans for getting to the wizard Jaron Scorchblot was out of the question, at least for the next couple of days. The training was hard, harder than ever, and I was exhausted at the end of the day, but Manilian was smiling and telling me that I was getting in shape. He awoke me early the next day, to learn how to fight…I spent two and a half days after than training non stop…I was tired, anyone would be that, but I was still up and running, something that I would never have been capable of when I got to this island. The last fight we had, had now lasted for seven hours, both of us was bleeding from scores of wounds, but neither was ready to give up.
I swang the big sword in an upwards twisting arc, Manilius extended his blade, and stopped it, then he used his superior strength to push me down to my knees…I knew that I had to do something drastic if I was to manage myself this time. I let all of my force go, and fell forward, the sudden lack of resistance, made Manilius slip, and gave me the momentum, I took a split over him, and kicked him in the back. He stumbled forwards, as I pressed on, swinging faster and heavier, for the first time I had the upper hand, I was driving him back, he one of the masters in the art of a blade. In a vicious crosscut, his sword was smashed out of his hands, so he was forced to draw another one. I ran towards him, I knew that he would soon take the momentum back, so it was imperative that I took him before that could happen.
What I was planning to do, was to dive forwards under his blade, roll to the left, and strike my blade into his back…a most effective trick, and also the most dangerous trick one can use in a fight. He readied himself, for another swing, but then I threw myself towards the ground, landing with my hand palms down first, I barely missed his scything sword, a quick roll to the side, and I was standing again, holding a big and sharp claymore at his neck…”you…you lose”, I gasped towards him.
He was panting, but soon started laughing, he had been defeated, so his trainings had not been in vain. “I knew you would best me someday, your head is something truly magnificent, all you have to do, is to let it go, as soon as you act with reason, there will be no stopping you”.
I followed him back towards my Tel, I was sad when he told me that he had nothing more to teach me….not before the time had come. My Tel had grown even more, and the walls around had started to take shape, and one of the towers was now complete, the same thing was the barracks and library, all finished, so hopefully when I got back from Jaron, I would have a finished mansion.
I bade my loyal staff farewell, and then opened up a portal to Sadrith Mora.
I checked my map, to try and find out where this Jaron might be living. I decided to try out the biggest island first, so a small water walk potion later, I was strolling the water. It’s a strange thing walking on water, it seems hard as gold itself, yet the same time soft as cotton, and small ripples formed each time I stepped on it.

Telina is becoming more and more of a great warrior if she can out duel a swordmaster. All those against her should beware.
It's also nice to see that Telina is showing some introspection on her past actions. Shows she growing up and showing maturity. Good stuff!

I particularly enjoyed the fight with Trebonius. He was always such a push-over in the game; it was good to see someone depict him with a bit of fight in him. But no mention of the Necromancer's amulet? In my opinion, it was the most powerful item in the game (in a very unbalanced way), especially for a mage.

True Planty, thats why I've decided not to have it in my Tale, but here is another update, and now I'll go and see if I cant write another update for my prolouge.
At the top of a big island, I saw a rickety old shack, outside it sat a man patting on a skooma pipe, and three Atronachs standing around him, but they did not look like normal Atronachs, there was something different with them. When I got close he rose up, and had a good look at me. The Mer was…strange, the same powerful eyes that Baladas had, speaking of raw power, his hair was short and burning red…but not even that was strange compared to what he stood for. The Mer was almost humming with natural powers, and if I used my inner vision he sent ripples of disruptive magic outwards, how such a frail body could hold so much power is beyond understanding, it was probably why the space around him was disrupted by magic, it was leaking out of him.
-“Ah here she comes, the great Telina Delvanni, come sit sit, I’ve been expecting you, what is it I may help you with”?
-“I heard you were quite feared some eight hundred years ago…I want to learn how you became so powerful, and I wish to study whatever you can learn me…or in other words, you’ve got power, I have none, so I wish for you to learn away some stuff to me”. I was worried if I had been too rude here, but he just smiled.
-“Hehe, Telina, do you know what a Theurgist is, he…it’s a wizard who have a great deal of control with the elements, hehe…if you wish me to teach you Theurgy hehe, I need some cash five thousand of ‘em hehe…need to help myself survive you know”.
I dropped a money pouch in his hands. “Its around five thousand there, keep the rest…now teach me”.
-“Ok hehe, first of all, I need you to collect some reagents hehe, need to have something to spice my food up…so here, bring me three portions of fire fern, tramaroots, fire petals, vampire dust, frost salts pearls…and I’ll teach you four spells, each will be a nasty handshake to your enemies...hehe, normally I’d only teach you one of the four elemental powers of Fire Frost Lightning or Earth…but my time here is closing to an end, and I need to teach it all away”.
Ok, I wrote down everything and went collecting, fortunately I had everything but the fire fern in my alchemy lab, and fire fern, was just to pick some grass of the ground around my stronghold. “Oh great, you really have an aptitude for this don’t you”, Jaron laughed. “As promised I will learn you four different spells, the names of them are simple enough, shocking touch, burning touch, frozen touch, and grasping touch…the spells are more intricate so here let me teach you”.
The next hours we practised the spells together, even for a basic Theurgist spell, it almost drained me to cast all four, but good training it was. After I got some rest, I talked to Jaron, for more training. “ok, one of my couriers was in Suran to delivered a letter, but he haven’t returned yet, find him an tell him that he is fired, and make sure to bring the shoes he borrowed from me back will you”+
Finding Suran was easy, it was just a simple spell and I stood at the middle of the square, accidentally I bumped into the false incarnate Vidron, that I had handled for a time ago. Now he seemed happy to see me, true I had cut off his hand, but I had saved him from becoming a target of the Ordinators, and now he was smiling at me, standing in a brown Temple robe.
-“Ah yes, old Jarons Mer”, he said when I brought the term up. “The guards said he stumbled out into the river and drowned, but I saw some Mer’s drag him upwards towards Bal Ur, I think he is dead”.
So it had come to killing now had it, and kidnapping, well it was not my case, all I was supposed to do was to get the shoes to Jaron. I rented a skiff, to take me along the river up to Bal Ur. While we were going silently upwards in the river, I was looking as hard as I could into the water…”STOP”!!!!! I yelled. There was something in the water, a half rotten body was entangled in the grass underneath the surface. Taking a deep breath, I jumped in, swimming down.
It was a Telvanni for sure, I could see the robe, and even more it had the marks of hat you get after a dozen of blades stab you. I picked the shining shoes off him, they sang with a pure tone of magicka, which I reckoned as several constant effect spells, was on these shoes. I thanked the Mer who had paddled me up the river, before I recalled back to Jarons shack.
-“AH, don’t worry, keep the shoes, I don’t need them…but killed you say, hmm I’ll go and check it myself. Meanwhile I need you to track up an old…friend of mine, a woman who is named Neela Angletoe, she have an amulet of mine that I want returned, she and I used to be together, but we went our separate ways, I’ve heard she is a dancer at Desele’s, you should start there”.
Desele, that was in Suran, and even worse it was the kind of house I hated. Desele was the topless woman standing behind the desk, and she seemed quite oblivious of the man looking at her like some dog who have spotted a piece of fine steak.
-“Wha’ can I ‘elp ye wi’ lass”, she said. “I’m looking for Neela Angletoe, she works here I’ve been told”.
-“Oh, I’m sorry lass, she left for ‘bout a month ago, poor child, never knew wha’ was best for ‘erself, always fellin love wi’ these ol’ men who came by, but if ye still need tae find ‘er, ye will find her in Caldera, at the clothier.

No Necromancer's Amulet, but all four elements? This should be interesting.

Nothing more interesting than visiting Morrowind's "strip joint". I'm sure the these Theurgist powers will come in handy for Telina.

I sighed, always on the move, I took a strider that was on the way to Ald Rhuun, but jumped off when we passed Caldera. Although the slowfall spell I used worked, I still activated it too late, so the air got knocked out of my lungs. I looked hazily around myself, trying to catch my breath, and there, just by the Mages Guild was a clothier, taking my chances, I went for that one. Inside, I saw two Mer’s, one female and a male. I walked directly up to the female, she had her hair tied up in a topknot, and slightly coppery eyes. “Neela Angletoe”, I asked, she simply nodded. “I come on behalf of Jaron, he wishes his amulet back”.
To my surprise she suddenly collapsed in tears, crying. “No, i-it is t-t-t-the only thing I ha-have to r-remember him by, I wi-will not g-g-give you the amulet back”, it was hopeless to get another word out of her, so I decided to get back to Jaron instead.
-“She still remembers me, she actually still loves me….wow, I had no idea”, he said softly. “Wait here, I have to do something”. Then he vanished into his shack. I heard some loud bangs, and a big bright light, and then Jaron came back. He handed me an ice figure, looked like it was aresign of the statue of Azura or something, but I was shocked after seeing what it was…it was nevermelting ice, I knew that it was rare to find such things here on Vvardenfell. “Take this to Neela, tell her I still care for her”.
I bowed, and took the trip back to Caldera. On my way from Balmora to Caldera, I realised just how many damned cliffracers there had to be on this bleeding island, and when I got there, I was not in the mood for arguments. A guard managed to get on the wrong side of me, by telling me that I could not enter the city, due to the inn being full.
When I was done yelling, threatening and basically making him as uncomfortable as possible, I left him there ,now he was more like a nerve wreck. Neela was in the seventh heaven after I delivered her the statue, and she kept blabbering on about she and Jaron had fallen in love, and how big an affection for him she had and bla bla bla…at least I got the amulet though, so it was worth the ten minutes I had to wait.
Jaron was most pleased with me, so he walked into his house (again) to find an item of “interest” he said. “Curses, I must have given that glove to Miles” I heard him swear.
-“Ok Telina, you see here you must make a choice, I shall continue to teach you two of the elements, as I have gotten another student, but since you came first, you’ll get to pick. What do you want”?
-“Ice…aaaaand….Fire”, I said after a bit pondering. “Hehe, cold as ice you are, and you have a taste for the cleansing powers of fire as well…I mostly prefer fire, slowly burning my victims hehe, ok, well here I have forged this glove here, it will aid your magical abilities by far, and add greater resistance to frost and fire, but will weaken your resistance to mundane weapons and lightning”.
I took the glove, it was ever-changing between different shades of blue and red, and when I put it one, I gasped. It was cold as ice, and warm as fire, but then it just, got normal, like it was an extension of my body, nothing more, I didn’t even feel it was there…and then it was the boost to my magic….from what I was told by Jaron, my intelligence willpower, and skills within destruction and illusion was greater…not that I had gotten smarter or better, my spells just got greater power.
-“Now, it seems that an Argonian named Miles Durango have taken the other glove with him when he left…find him and get the glove back for me to enchant it. From what I know there is an Argonian up in Gnisis boasting about how he fooled this great elemental wizard, maybe it’s Miles, always worth checking”.
So an Argonian, eh, that should be easy. It was true that he was in Gnisis, he was telling everyone who wanted to listen about how he had fooled Jaron. But everyone sleeps sometimes, and this one was not an exception, I followed him through the street of Gnisis, making sure we were alone, I tried to make him give me the glove…
-“Me give glove to Dark Elf, if key to Arvs-Drelen me get…or eight thousand septims”. Ok, that was just simple, knowing what Baladas would do to any intruder, I handed him the key, and got the glove.

I just caught up here and found the underlined section to be rather creepy...though not too far from what I'd expect Telina to say.
Anyway keep up the good work Tellie and I'm sorry for not commenting more frequently, its not because I don't like your story.

oh my dear, someone´s been very busy writing lately!....Makes me feel guilty..sort of, but nevermind......as always very good stuff, even though I think sweet Telina really has turned into a very powerful mage. Oh and she uses her magical skills as well......not always in a kind way, the lady can be cruel sometimes, but hopefully she will learn from her victories......Yeah she will, I´m pretty sure of that!

And Telina keeps doing her thing. Scaring the crap out of people and killing them when the scaring doesn't work. I really like the bit with the elemental spells.
I personally would choose fire and lightning. I love to vaporise my opponents with oversized fireballs and to give them a 'shocking' experience. Long live Redguard battlemages.
Note: in real life, shock spells would be the ultimate killer in Dwemer ruins. All that metal on the floor, walls, ceiling, they're perfect conductors for good old electricity.

It was also nice to see that Trebonius could do something. He was way too easy in the game, even with his amazing amulet. I just rushed in and treated him to the overhand Chrysamere chop. He never got the time to finish his second spell. (The first missed.)

Ah...cloudy, good to have you back, hope you have read the beginning of my next fic as well. Thanks for commenting so soon after your return, so now my dear readers, since I have been away for over a week I have given you a long one today, enjoy.
-“hehe…no troubles I hope”, Jaron said amusingly, as I handed him the glove. “Just a little second and I’ll enchant that for you my dear, hehe, what’s the point of having it unenchanted”.
He went into his shack, and I could feel the sheer powers that was unleashed. I screamed as a sudden bang, and a bright white light, enclosed me, when I could see again, I saw Jaron standing soot stained, laughing manically, while his hut was lying in small planks around he place.
-“Hehe, just a slight miscalculation, hehe, but I managed to do it right at the second try, so here it is, finished in all it’s glory”, while I took the heavily enchanted glove on my hand, he continued talking. “I have a lesser task for you know…I have a…a problem of sorts, I am one of the sad users of skooma I’m afraid, but I ensure you I can quit any day, just that day is not now, get me four bottles, and in return I’ll teach you two fearsome spells”.
Wow, fearsome spells, I thought the spells he had learned me till now was fearsome, he clearly had other opinions of what “fearsome” was.
I knew full well, where I could find skooma, raid any bandit cave, and most likely you’ll find some. It just happened, that once I got back to my stronghold, a letter was awaiting me.
Dear Telina, your family is getting increasingly worried by the fact that you haven’t met any of us in ages, please drop by. But now over to business, if you remember our talk so long ago, you will know that I have sent our family members around a bit, preparing for the big…feast. We have discovered that the family of Orvas, is running respectable places all over Vvardenfell, but most of the places are in the West Gash. But be careful, some sons of Sithis is known to be with them as well, so I suggest that you start at Fatlegs drop off at Hla oad.
From Uncle Caius.
Ok, that was good news, and true, my…ah…family, was definitely the Blades, and I had honestly forgotten all about them, I had been too busy lately, but the family of Orvas, was definitely the Cammonna Tong, and sons of Sithis working with them, meant that the brotherhood was involved…
I had done as Caius proposed, and started at Fatlegs drop off in Hla Oad. I had snuck into the shack at night, knocking Fatleg out for a few hours with a hammer, I wandered around the shack. Strange, the room was barren, sake for a single carpet, strangely positioned in the corner of the room. Intrigued, I lifted it up. My curiosity was for once rewarded with a trap door, which seemed strangely susceptible to break after a well placed chop with The Monarch.
I slipped down in silence, I knew what I was looking for, skooma, brotherhood members, and slaves to free. Strangely the second was found first. A member of the Dark Brotherhood, was patrolling the walkway, and he seemed quite oblivious to my existence. I remembered a spell I had once learnt, one too complex for me in my earlier days, but perhaps now I was skilled enough.
-“mexas mega constricto”. The spell, was a immensely powerful burden spell, and it made him so heavy that the wooden planks he was standing upon could not take the weight, so he crashed down into the water, to drown…slowly. I walked further through the cave, down onto the walkway, I took the way to the left, which was the room where all the people were. Silently, I paralyzed each one of them, tying them up to the pillars supporting a platform. I also found a slave, who wished only to be set free.
I cursed, as he told me that the key to the bracer was broken, so I made sure that he was willing to sacrifice ANYTHING for freedom, getting the answer I was waiting for, I knocked him unconscious, to spare him of any pain. Then, I swiftly cut his hand off, and the bracer fell off, then I cast a healing spell on him.
Seeing that the former slave was safe for the moment, I decided to raid the cave, I was lucky that I had started here, the smugglers had indeed been good, as I found no less than nine bottles of skooma, a few coins, some scrolls, and quite many bottles of different liquor.
By the time I went back to get the slave, the six Cammonna Tong and Dark Brotherhood members had awakened, and was swearing loudly at me, for tying them up. I smiled, an interesting idea popping up in my mind.
These men were slavers, and assassins, I had for the moment a grudge against both of those kinds of persons. I took all the liquor into the room, spraying them with it, putting many bottles at their feet as well. I woke the slave up, telling the poor Argonian to run for his life, then I “accidentally” dropped a torch, onto the poor bastards, who were soaked in flammable liquor.
Saying my goodbyes to the bastards who was now running around, screaming as the flames licked around them, I turned, and sent myself back trough the void to Jarons little island.
-“Ah, hehe, so your back, here let me teach you the two spells, Blizzard, and Immolation”.
The first spell, Blizzard, created a massive maelstrom, of ice shards, cold air and snow so thick that there was no penetrating it with the naked eye. I saw the tree I had performed it one, was twisted, several deep cuts in it, bent in unusual angles, and I could only dare to think on what it would do to a fleshy living target.
The second one, Immolation, well, what does it sound like. A huge orb of fire erupted at the place I cast it upon (another helpless tree I’m afraid), Holding it, it started to whirl around at astonishing speed, the fire grew more and more intense, expanding as I poured more power into it, and then it stopped, having drained me of my magicka completely. The area I had burned, was now blackened and devoid of any form of life sake for the gloving red rocks, who was still cooling down from the spell.
The spells, was scarily alike, they were both intense, starting with taking the shape of a globe, only to turn into a whirlwind of elemental energy, expanding and increasing in power as one poured more energy into it…the only real difference was the effect of the spells.
Going to sleep in my bed that night was terrible, I was lying awake for what seemed like hours, shivering. All this knowledge, the sheer power and scariness of these spells was scaring the spit out of me. They were designed for one thing and one thing only, murder, murder of many, giving no chance to the victim(s).
I wept that night, for myself, for all the mindless murders I had committed, all those families I had ripped asunder with the murder of one or more of their loved ones, but mostly it was for myself. But now it was that I lived in a world, where the survival of one, is mostly dependant on how powerful one’s friends are, and how powerful one is…and with me living in the most ruthless part of Tamriel, I had to be ruthless back in order to make safe my own survival…once I was ready, I would start helping the others, until then, it was me myself and I who was on the line.
When I woke up, I felt strangely smarter and more powerful in mind that I had previously been, and I sure felt for some reason luckier too. This feeling of being elevated, had struck me many a time before, and it was getting to me more and more often, and I was sure that I was merely growing better and more powerful.
When I returned to Jaron, I found him lying on his back outside his house, clearly drugged down, as the four bottles of skooma I had given him was now all empty. I sighed, throwing drugged people in the water, was getting boring, so I decided to try something new for a change…Putting my hands on his chest, I cast the freezing touch spell that Jaron had taught me for a few days ago. Jaron screamed in agony, and jumped up higher than any living creature I had ever seen before. It was quite comic actually, to see the old mer standing with his face a few inches from my face, red as blood, nearly bursting with anger.
-“WHY DID YOU DO THAT”, he demanded. “Hmm…mostly for the fun of it, but I needed you sober if you were to teach me more stuff, and precisely that stuff will kill you one day, so no better day than this to start stopping with it eh”? I looked him straight in the eyes, knowing that telling the truth would do me no harm.
He looked at me for a few seconds more, trying to keep and angry face, but soon we were both laughing frantically, holding each other, as we were dangerously close to falling on the ground.
-“Hehe, well…the time for you to have your robe is close, but first I need you to go to the ancient Dunmer fortress of Andasreth…there you will find three elementals, summoned by a mage I’ve never seen before, bring me back the essences of these three, and I’ll forge your robe”.
Checking my map, I could see that Andasreth was lying close to Karthag Point and the tiny fishing village of Gnaar Mok. I took a boat trip to Ebonheart, only to swap ships, and continue up to Gnaar Mok. From there, it was a small matter to walk overseas to Karhtag point. Karthag point was a massive rock, standing overlooking the sea, and the climb up the hill was a hard and difficult one, but I finally reached the top.
I could see a huge building, which had several large domes, and a few other buildings upon it, the old Dunmer fortresses, at the top of the biggest building, I could see two mers standing watch armed with bows, and more importantly a form of…well I would call it an atronach, but it was very different. It looked like a highly beautiful, yet terrifying man, wreathed in flames. His two companions was however mere flame atronachs. I focused my mind upon the spell Jaron had taught me: euhys maxo ramus eximentha northre.
The Globe of pure white light, exploded outwards as it hit Infritel, focusing my power to maintain the spell, I made it expand rapidly, making the entire roof being swallowed by the gigantic blizzard. I fed more power into the spell, Ice shards was tearing the place apart, I heard the muffled screams from the two female archers, as their bodies was frozen and smashed by the lethal ice shards, after what seemed for an eternity, I allowed the spell to collapse, not a trace of life was to be seen on the roof.
Sweat was running down my back and face, as I walked across the roof, the entire floor was covered with ice and snow, and I could see the two female archers, they had been smashed into tiny pieces, but the ice was now melting, and the steaming clumps of flesh made me empty my stomach quite fast.
Looking away from the disgusting sight, I wandered over to the form that was Infritel, even in death it seemed like a ragefull, yet fascinating…thing, and I wondered what it really was. I scouped up the still glowing ashes that I supposed was the essence of Infritel, before I entered the dome at the top of the roof. Typical of my luck, the door was frozen, so I did the drastic measures of trying to kick it open…I swore long and loudly, while hopping around clutching my toes, which was undoubtly broken.
A healing potion took care of the toes, and a fireball made the door into matchwood. As I walked into the dome, I saw a young man lying at the ground, several wooden splinters had penetrated the back of his chitin armour…at least he ought to be at sleep when he was killed, as there was no chance he could have been awoke when I was killing his buddies outside, so he died painless.
I wandered down the stairs, looking to my right and left, I was faced with a difficult decision…left…or right? I choosed right, as I could feel a great deal of static electricity coming from there…most likely Litanigier and his retinue of storm atronachs.
Sometimes I hate it when I’m right. Looking into a room, I saw the huge rock like form that was Litanigier, and a sword swinger, and two storm atronachs.
Digging into my pack, I grabbed all of the scrolls I had with me at the moment, and sent the first spell into the room. A thick black cloud seemed to creep out of the room, and I could hear choke sounds, and the inevitable thump of a body hitting the ground. Litanigier and his retinue survived though, and worse he was roaring in fury, and sent forwards a spell so powerful, that I was flung like a bloody rag doll over forty feet away from him. With a crushing thud, I hit the stone walls, and felt several ribs crack, unable to do anything but to take a scroll, I sent another spell forth. This was but a mere fireball, and I could see Litanigier laugh at my feeble attempts to end his life.
The next scroll was interesting though, a beam of intricate designs, and a blinding white light, flew towards him, at first he was laughing, but then he must have realised what was coming towards him, so in an act of desperation, he grabbed one of his bodyguards and held him in front of himself as a shield.
But to no avail, the beam continued, and carved a hole the size of an ogrims head right through Litanigier and his companion. With it’s master dead, the last atronach vanished in a puff of dust.

Long but I simply loved it. Character development, the usual bit of killing weak baddies in a painful way and a fight against a not so weak baddie.

hehe...you think so cloudy, well, with the intensive training and thigns she have done, she is getting powerful yes. Just to those of you who wonder how good Telina is, she is about level 40 (well at least she is that in my save game, that I use as an inspiration for my writing), but of course, with all the fortify effects and resistance to things she have, she would have no trouble on taking higher level characters out...but dont worry, there are still enemies out there for her who would have no troubles killing her.
I managed to painfully gulp down a healing potion, tears was running down my cheeks, as the bones was straightened out, I still felt like guar dung though, and had to expend another one.
Getting up was difficult, considering I felt like my own weight was like a mountain or so it felt), I was scared now. That spell had not even been close to hitting me, but still it nearly killed me, so I decided to be more careful with Shadowshard. Picking up the strange lightning carved rock that had to be Litanigiers essence, I moved further into the stronghold, walking the same way.
I came around a corner, there further down I could see two mers, one with a bow, one with a rather evil looking axe. Considering I had only magicka enough for one more spell like the one I used on Infritel, I took my crossbow…”bugger”, normally my typical luck had caught me yet again, only one bolt left.
Deciding to take the bow armed mer, I took careful aim, only to have the bolt miss him by the inches, swearing loudly, I took the Nord way…charging headlong towards my opponent.
I dodged the first arrow that came my way, the second was knocked out of track by a deft strike of my claymore. I was closing in, but my charge was brutally ended by an arrow that suddenly wedged itself in my right ribs. Feeling the dull poison taking its effect one me, I tumbled forwards before going face first to the floor.
I moaned, trying to get up again, I was rewarded with a hammer blow at my unarmoured back. I gasped, as my breath was knocked out of my lungs, then I felt two hands grabbing my hands, starting to drag me, concentrating the last of my power that was left, I spoke the words Jaron had taught me in the beginning.
“marrghax ggrywhadn ghas”. I don’t know if I poured too much power into the spell of not, all I know is that the two bandits dragging me suddenly stopped, and that I could hear the sound of ice breaking on the ground, then it was all blank.
I awoke to the foul stench of warm flesh, and I could see my earlier opponents, lying in pieces at the floor, I till felt like having jumped of red Mountain, but I managed to set myself up towards the wall. Looking at the arrow that was penetrating my side, I knew that I had to remove it first, luckily it was not broken, which raised my spirit by a small degree. I took up a torch from my pack, putting it in my mouth, before taking a firm grip on the arrow, and then I yanked it out.
Even with the torch in my mouth, my scream must have awoken every person on this floor, but luckily they were all dead, the pain was unbearable, I felt my mind slipping again, but I forced myself not to sleep, I had to stay awake. I looked down at my last healing potion, I knew that I most likely had one more tough fight in front of me, but I had no choice but to take it. I was still dazed, when the potion had done its work on me, so finding a bed to rest was my first priority, and I found a few crude, yet comfortable hammocks to spend the night in.
I woke up after a good sleep, and better, I had no trace, of my fight yestere, and I felt completely ready for a new fight. I had noticed a stairway a little back, and since I had searched the entire floor, I was sure my way led me down there.
True enough, down there was Shadowshard and his retinue, the entire floor was frozen, and his five Dunmer guards had frozen to death for a long time ago, and better, I had an advantage, my gloves gave me higher resistance to both frost and flame, and I had the element of surprise…I looked into my pack, there I found two fortify willpower potions, which would come in handy, downing both of them, I spoke the intricate cantrip of Immolation. “jhaggfd nhgdig smraffre inflamm”. The globe of fire, turned as expected into a large maelstrom, expanding, pouring more power into it, and boosted with the potions, the potion would have a much more dangerous effect. It started to howl, the speed so fast and it was so warm that even with my gloves on, I started to sweat.
I broke it off, my powers spent, and there alone stood Shadowshard, the mightiest of the three. I could see a spell form up in his hands, but I could not afford to give him the chance to cast it. I ran forwards, drawing the Monarch. The blade descended, chopping off big clumps of ice, although the frost spell effects it would hand onto Shadowshard was of no use, the blade was still sharp.
I dodged under his massive fist, bringing my sword upwards in a quick slash, Shadowshard screamed as his right arm was cut off, an ice cold liquid poured out from his arm socket, blood I presume. He looked at me, hatred etched into his eyes, even now as I was about to kill him, he thought he could win…I guess his thoughts disappeared when his head was removed. A big perfect orb of ice, was now the only visible part of Shadowshard, taking his essence, I translocated myself back to Jaron.
-“Ah...hehe, good work Telina, he, this is exactly what I need yes, just wait here and I’ll get your robe”. He walked inside his hut, several bangs and loud swearings later, he came out, a bit red faced, but still looking immensely happy. He handed me a robe of exquisite beauty, its silken fabrics, having delicate patterns in black and different colours of blue, but suddenly just as with my gloves, it constantly shifted between shades of red, going back and forth.
Seeing that I had no need to have the clothing of an assassin on me for the moment, I thanked him and went back to my stronghold. There I took off the Black Hand robe and hood, and took my new Theurgist robe on instead.
I had my suspicions to what the robe would do, but my shock of getting increased even more, I was not ready for. The robe was just as with my gloves increasing my resistance to flame and ice, and also fortified my intelligence willpower, and several of my magic skills.

yet another update, a bit longer this time.
The next week, I spent travelling all over Vvardenfell, searching for jars of what Jaron called truffles that would be spread around in various shipwrecks. I knew the location of only one shipwreck, that was outside Seyda Neen, the rest I had to track down myself, searching bays and such. Truffles was some sticky goo, but it tasted like heaven, too bad that I had to give the only four bottles I found to Jaron.
-“Ah excellent, hehe, truffles are indeed something, and now I promised you that I would teach you the two ultimate spells didn’t I, eh, well listen closely, and I shall teach you the spells of Frozen Hell and Armageddon”.
It took me many hours to master the spells, they after seeing what they did when you just cast them, without powering them even more, I had a good idea of the complexity of the spells.
-“Now Telina, you are finished, just one barrier is left, you must defeat a Theurgist that is more powerful than yourself. I happen to know of an Orc named Graznik Kator, his powers rivals my own, he have a powerful staff of Elemental Channelling, find him in his residence, a daedric ruin east of Molag Mar, kill him and bring his staff back to me”.
I bowed, and walked back to Sadrith Mora, time to ask Llovyn what the councils next focus was. “Ah Arch-Magister, how pleasant, the Mage Guild have now been destroyed, any letter of complaint will be sent to House Telvanni, many of the members are still alive as you may guess, but they are now a part of house Telvanni, with lots of our guards and such inside each guild hall”.
-“Now the councils current focus, well, Lady Zubadayah, wishes you to help her protégé to set up a Tel on the biggest island of the Sheogorad region, but the stronghold builder is having slight troubles of building it, seek him out, and aid him”.
I smiled, I had been planning on taking a trip up towards Dagon Fel anyway, so now I could just drop by. Dagon Fel was as always the sad remote fishing village, freezing cold, not that I felt too much about that though. No, I was not here to visit Dagon Fel, I knew that there was still room for another Master, and I knew just the person.
The trip towards Rotheran was a long one, getting attacked by cliffracers every fifth minute, but finally I found it. The Dunmer fortress which had looked old an decayed earlier, was now restored to it’s ancient glory. Telvanni banners was flowing freshly in the breeze, I was stopped by a few guards, new guards it seemed.
-“Halt there lady, what is thy meaning here”. “Shut it…guard…I am Telina Delvanni, Arch-Magister of House Telvanni, and your rightful ruler, I’m here to talk to Spellwright Elwin”.
The guard stepped aside, allowing me to enter the ancient fortress. It was also richly decorated from within I found Elwin in his chambers, at the top of the building, at first he stared, before he started laughing.
-“Well well, look at you, Arch-Magister and all now, that’s really something, so what brings you here at my humble abode”?
-“Well, I’m still in need of allies, so basically I’m offering you the post of Master, if you can find a mouth to be your protégé…also, there will be another Telvanni taking residence here on the island, I’m helping him building his stronghold, with two Telvannis, one of them being a Master the Sheogorad region will be covered. So I suggest that the two of you work closely together when his new residence is finished…that would be all”, I smiled.
He looked strangely at me for a minute. “M-me a Master, why sure yes I accept Te…Sed Delvanni, I’ll find myself a Mouth, and then I’ll wait in anticipation for the other Telvanni you spoke of”.
I smiled, before I went out again, I had an Orc constructor to speak to. After a bit of searching I finally found the Orc, who was rubbing his head, explaining the situation to me.
-“You see, we have some problems with getting the shroom to grow, ask one of the Masters to fix up an augmention potion for you, and bring it back to me, that should work nicely”.
This was turning out to be a bigger trip than I had expected, but nevertheless, I had a Theurgist to find. I asked around a bit in Molag Mar, and it turned out that one of the Kahjiits knew something about it.
-“Bad wizard many says…east of here lives he, Kahjiit go there not, no, bad place to be, name of place be Almurbalarammi, but go there not, not come out of place people do”.
I thought about it, it certainly proved that Graznik was not keen on visitors, it also told me that he was dangerous, but sadly for him I could also be dangerous. Using water walk, I ran across the bay until I came to the ruin. As always I got a really bad feeling towards the place, the tall unnatural spires, domes and spikes. Breathing slowly, I opened up the door, and walked inside.
The ruin was not big, only a big stair that led into a large chamber, which I could use to my advantage. I focused on the Armageddon spell. “Maelcrah Laadutade Dominus” I could see the spell flying towards the center of the room, without waiting, I gulped down a levitate potion, and an invisibility potion. Even from the other side of the room, I could feel the unbearable heat, and the explosion of flames licked the entire room, wreathing even me in the flames, but with my natural resistance, to fire, boosted by the gloves and the robe I was wearing, I walked on…unharmed.
I was walking up through the air, towards one of the big…torches, that was hanging from massive chains, giving light to the room, through only a thick mass of green fog. AS I stood up on it, I could see three bodies, to blackened to see what they had once been, but Graznik and his many atronach guards, was still walking around, cursing trying to spot whatever had burnt them so good.
I smiled, looking at the massive chains, I could see a form of splint was holding them together, the problem was separating it, unless…I drew the Monarch, it abilities would make a part of the chain into ice, and the second strike smashed it.
The levitate potion was still holding me up, but the big spiky light emitter, did not stay in the air, it soared down with an unnatural squeal, like it had a life of its own, and was smashed against the hard floor.
The room was now in total darkness, sake for the light of Grazniks staff, and the swirling lightning’s around the last surviving storm atronach…and myself.
I descended down to the ground, drawing the Monarch again…I knew that my magicka was now low, too low for another spell like that, so instead I charged towards the atronach. I dodged a spell sent by the atronach, and started to hack away on it. Dodging hacking, great pieces of stone was cut away each time I struck, until the atronach faded away.
-“Graznik, your life will end today” I yelled at him, slowly walking towards him.
The staff he was carrying had small lightning’s swirling up and down on it, almost like they were there only to be launched.
HE laughed at me, a cold heartless laugh, devoid of any sense of warmth, care…love. “You kill me, oh no, I will send your head back to Scorchblot, with the message of not sending women to fight me”.
He spun his staff around, and suddenly it was a wall of lightning flying towards me, so wide and tall the there was no escaping it. I managed to jump behind a massive pillar (barely), and waited till the lightning wall had passed.
Next, he sent a massive org of pure electricity towards me, I managed to dodge that one as well, but he had even more in store, the staff seemed to restore his magicka…there was only one thing to do.
I could see a crossbow, with one…only one bolt, ready to fire. Naturally I had to run across the room, putting myself into Grazniks line of fire, but it was my only chance. I ran as fast as I could, a spell flew past me, almost as by instinct, I dived forwards, rolling across the floor, barely avoiding another spell, I jumped up again. I was just in front of the crossbow, I bent down, as I was running, grabbed it, and pushed away with my hands, taking a split through the air, landing beside a pillar. I made a silent prayer to Azura, before I took the crossbow in a vice like grip. I stepped forward, took aim and fired.
I ran directly towards Graznik, drawing the Monarch again, I could see the bolt penetrate Grazniks left side, hopefully hitting his heart, or at least damaging his lung. He was thrown backwards by the bolt, but he quickly got up again.
He deftly blocked my blow with his staff, and then smashed the pointy end right into my left knee. He swung his staff around, striking at me again, I brought my sword up, blocking the blow. Another swing came, but I managed to duck under it, before the head of the staff was smashed into my face. I fell backwards, loosing grip on the Monarch, and I was now lying on my back defenceless…he brought his staff up for the final strike, a stab that would kill me…!!!

I would go around and say that this is the perfect oportunity to smack him with a spell but Telina is out of Magicka so that won't quite work. Hmm, any hidden daggers around? You know, like in the boot or something? We are talking about an ex-assassin here.

a sharp piece of metal in the toe is quite annoying.

I don't think she has a readily handy scroll either... Damn! I have no idea how she's gonna get out of this one... but she must! Telina is mentioned in the Oblivion sequel, so she must survive! Unless this Orc clones the dead body or something.... gross!
Well, I can't wait to see how this turns out. No really, I can't wait, I NEED THE UPDATE NOW!!!
Please?

Why did you have to make it a cliffhanger? I'll have to hold my breath until I find out what happens. Good thing I can hold my breath for a long time.

Just a short one today.
The staff descended, to kill me. Almost as by instinct, I jumped upwards, twisting to my left, I barely managed to avoid the staff, but it gave me time. I brought the lower palm of my hand up into his ugly face. I felt bone crack, and teeth break. Using my momentum, I darted past Graznik, driving two of my poisoned darts (compliments of the Black Dart gang), into his neck. He fell limp to the floor within a few seconds, threshing around, white foam gathering around his mouth…and then he was…dead.
-“It is finished then…rest in peace Theurgist Graznik Katorr”. I bowed in respect of the mighty individual, and turned towards his staff. Strangely, I could have swore that there had been lightning’s streaming up and down with it…but now it looked like a normal staff. The staff itself was beautiful, it was made of some darker form of steel, with silver running in delicate designs along its side. At the bottom, I could see a sort of glass tip, kind of like a stabbing point, but the strange was that it was not the normal green colour…it was a dark blue, like the sea. The head, was formed like the face of a roaring beast, with the large horn, pointing out from the staff, made of the same strange glassy substance.
When I picked it up, I could feel the powers of the staff pouring into me, the renewing power, as my magicka was returning, and my skill with the arcane forces of magic increased even more. Strangely, I could now see a white cold mist start to flow along the staff, soon followed by dancing flames as well, it seemed that the staff gave me increased powers in the speciality of my elemental choice, in this case, my two things.
Taking a firm grip on the staff, I translocated back to Jaron, handing the staff to him. “Oh no dear…that is yours, my time here in Vvardenfell have come to an end, so I’m moving to Tear, and thanks to you Neela is going with me…so now it’s time for you to forge your own destiny…Theurgist Delvanni”.
I understood this as a sign to leave, so I said my goodbyes, and opened up a portal to Gnisis, I had some discussions to make with Baladas.

Whew, she survived, and is rewarded with an awesome staff to boot. Sweet! I wonder what her next move is going to be....

I'm glad to see the black darts put to good use. The staff, as you describe it, sounds like a truly impressive piece of weaponry. I suspect Telina will have a hard time putting it down for quite some time.

And here it is.
I walked into Baladas chambers, only stopping to pat his daedroth pet on the head. I could see that Miles had indeed been stupid enough to try and sneak into Baladas chambers, but still, I had heard Baladas say more than once that he wanted an imbecile stupid argonian as a tapestry, I had just gotten it for him.
-“Ah Telina, what do you wish this time…and why was an argonian carrying your key”? I smiled to him, knowing what he was trying to do, I could feel his presence in my head, only I was ready for it…to stop him. I lashed out mentally towards the intrusion, and saw Baladas fly out of his chair, a look of complete awe and shock on his face.
He slowly arose, looking strangely at me. “I rather prefer it Baladas that no one is trying to enter my head now, or they’ll suffer the consequences, as for what I want and why that argonian had my key well, listen carefully”.
-“First, I want you to brew me an augmention potion, and the argonian had my key, because I gave it to him, in exchange for a glove…and precisely you always said you wanted an imbecile stupid argonian as a tapestry”. HE looked at me, still quite shocked, next moment we were both hugging laughing like two hysteric people who were being tickled by a large mob.
-“It so happens that I have a potion ready, you can take it…Arch-magister” he added with a little smirk. I took the potion from him, “oh shut up, we both know that without you I wouldn’t be here” I said rather irritated.
We spent a few hours discussing some things that he had been a bit too sloppy to tell me. I learned the simple technique to how we Telvanni postpone our lifetimes into the eternity, and luckily it included none of the things I had feared, neither the dark art or the prayings and offerings to the daedra. Unfortunately it is a Telvanni secret, so I’m afraid I can not tell you how it done.
I also taught Baladdas a few of my new spells, just for the fun of it by me teaching him for this once. I went late to bed that nioght, thinking before falling asleep.
I was walking through the streets of Gnisis, I could see a Dunmer girl, not older than nineteen at maximum, eyeing me. I made no sign of having discovered she was spying on me, instead I quickened my pace. I was walking fast towards the tradehouse, and then she bumped into me, I could feel my purse being slit…and suddenly I woke up!

Hmmm a strange dream indeed, I wonder what it means...
Could it be a premonition? Or just too much magic for one day?

Aug 14 2006, 11:22 PM
And now here is a shocking surprise for everyone of you, enjoy it will you.
I knew what I had to do, I had to leave at once, for this to come true. I bade Baladas goodbye after a hasty breakfast, and then walked out, walking towards the tradehouse. And sure enough there in the shadows of the temple stood the dunmer girl.
I smiled, and walked hastily towards the tradehouse, I could see her come towards me, I smiled, and looked another way as she bumped into me, flawlessly cutting my purse, but I had as you might think guess it.
I grabbed her wrist, and jerked, a sound of pain came from her as her arm was close to breaking. I looked into her eyes, they were strange almost like…like…my eyes. She had my eyes, she was though taller than me, and a bit thinner in the face, and her hair was coppery, and she had a different hairstyle than I did…still there was a scary resemblance.
I could see she had similar thoughts, so I used my advantage, and banged my head into hers, knocking her unconscious. With her out of the game, I grabbed her and teleported over to my stronghold. I sat her down in a chair, and sat down at the opposite side of the table, waiting. After a little while she woke up, there was some lunch ready at the table.
-“Who are you, and why in the name of Azura did you try to cut my purse”, I asked her a bit strictly. She looked around in panic, before she realised that any hope of escape was gone, she was…trapped.
-“M-my name is Salina Delvanni, I used to work in Cyrodiil, but then my parents got killed, and so I went over here, in search of my sister…but I couldn’t find her by my self…so I became a member of the Thieves Guild, so I saw you and was in need for some cash, and you looked like the wealthy type, so naturally I tried to get some money so I could eat”.
I looked shocked at her…was it possible that, no my parents were killed when I was young…or were they, I only had the word of the Dark Brotherhood, and surely they would prefer it that way that one of their prospective top assassins was without any knowledge of her family. So could this one actually be my sister, was it possible that I had lived about the door next to my parents all the time, it was maddening to think one, at least our names had a certain similarity.
-“There is food on the table, take whatever you want…meanwhile tell me all you know about this sister of yours”, she smiled politely, before taking some deer meat, along with certain vegetables.
-“My sister, Telina was taken from my parents, when she was young, eight or so months I think, but my father had contacts in the Legion, and well, I overheard him and mum talk about you, that you had been exiled to this…this dump. So when they died I decided to try and find her, after all there was nothing left for me in Cyrodiil”.
I beamed at her, I was sure now…that was too much personal info for someone not knowing me at all. “Well guess what, you just happens to be talking to her, I am Telina Delvanni, Arch-magister of Great House Telvanni, pleasure to meet you sis”.

What an unusual reunion! But it seemed to worked out after all, hopefully she doesn't bruise from the headbutt...
So my guess about the premonition was correct, damn I'm good! It'll be interesting to see how these two will interact with each other. Maybe they'll be some bickering!

Hi sis, nice to see you.
Boy, that must be one hell of a (painful) surprise, meeting your sister through a headbutt. I am really surprised that Salina didn't know about Telina being Arch-Magister and general behindzapper. I mean, she has to be famous after all the public slaughters she's done.
