Thank you everyone for your support. I know I havent updated in a while now, so in case some of you might start to wonder, I inform you now instead.
I have been incredibly busy lately, but you will be happy to know that spare time is now on the way, and you should expect an update in the weekend (I sincerely hope).
And to answer planty and cloudys ponderings.
Telina got surprised about finding her sister..but not THAT surprised, gifted as she is with incredible mindpower and intellect (dont tell ser I said that...she`ll kill me

, and also knowing the nature of the ones who ahd raised her, did not think it was all too impossible that the brotherhood had been lying to her, and that she had a family all along.
So for now, goodbye...but we will see eachother again in the near future...

I understand being busy, I've already had THREE major projects in these first few weeks of school. Yesterday I had to finish making a travel brochure of Texas for Tex. History class (I already loathe the subject) and turn it in today, and have a test on geography in the same class.
I will also surely find time tommarow or Saturday to update Revan.

Update time...enjoy.
She looked shocked at me for a moment…”you…you are my…my sister”? “I must dare to say that I am, you knew just a bit too much about me not to be…and, well I must say there are certain similarities between us, not just physically, but also in our minds, and hearts…not too mention our strange sense of humour”, I smiled, as she tried to get a grip on the situation.
-“How…why…can…how do you know about that, can you see through a person”? she said, clearly afraid of the answer.
-“It’s called telepathy dear, and under the right circumstances, I can tell what a person is, if a person is lying to me, I can tell…or I may move beyond that, and take directly control of their minds…having unlimited resources to anything magic related, is one of the perks of being Arch-Magister” I said smiling.
She sat there, dumbfounded, as of how I could sit and talk about something like that, just as easily talking about what kind of tea I wanted. I knew how she felt, I had reacted about the same way when Baladas teached it all to me, but now I had changed…I was sure of myself, perhaps a bit too sure, but still, I had grown, and was more mature to the strange and impossible theories of magic and such now, than I had been.
-“But it’s late, so I’ll guess we should go to bed, if you go back through that door” I said pointing over my shoulder, “you take a turn to the right, and will find a bedroom ready for you”. She took the hint, realizing that the conversation was finished, she got up, gave me a quick hug, before she went to her bedroom.
Ok, I admit, I was still shocked by the idea…after all, my entire background had suddenly changed, I had a family, but was ripped away from it when I was young, never learning how it was to be loved by your parents…quite a loss indeed, but I still had my sister, and together I was sure we could manage, learning from each others.
I woke Salina up early in the morning, telling her to get dressed quickly, as we had some things to discuss. Five minutes she appeared in the kitchen, still morning groggy.
-“Ok sis, you want to go with me on my adventures I assume” she simply nodded. “Well then we have to get you trained a bit, I have some boring duties the coming weeks, which should give you some time to get trained…you will be studying under my former mentor Baladas Demnevanni, and when he deems you worthy, he’ll send you back here, where Manilius will teach you in the fine arts of making as much of a bloody mess with your opponent with your weapon as possible”, I laughed at her expression, she looked as though she had just gotten a potato stuck in her throat.
We shared a quiet breakfast, before I sent her back to Baladas, and now it was time for me to start getting my duties. Truth to be told, I had no boring paperwork thing, but the bunch of things that I was going to have to wade through soon, was simply too dangerous for someone who was just a thief, so telling her a little white lie didn’t make me feel guilty at all.
First on my list, was getting a few more goods done in the name of the “holy Tribunal”, yeah holy in my dreams…not. Tharer, seemed to be pleased to see me.
-“Ah welcome Adept, or should I say Arch-Magister”, he said with a smug grin. “Telina would be sufficient”, I replied answering his grin with one of my own.
-“Well Telina, I guess you have come here for more chores…I do so happen to have one, most likely fitting your skills” he gave me a knowing look. “A necromancer have taken up residence in a Velothi building south east of here, make him…repent...his…ah sins, and purge the place from it’s dark taint”.
I knew what he meant by repent, was to kill him slowly and painfully, and purge…well most likely I think he meant putting the place to the torch. Seeing no reason not to get on with it, I quickly paced out of the temple, walking straight southeast.
It took me only a few minutes, before I felt a tugging sensation, something…dark was close. I knew that I must be close, and was still pondering on why I was suddenly feeling like that sensation of power…until I remembered, the staff gave me an ability to ‘feel’ magic, and I also knew with my extensive training, I would start to get used to feel magic.
I entered the Velothi building, dispatching the necromantic creatures that stood in my way. After a few minutes of playing stab the dremora, I found myself facing the necromancer.
-“Your time is at an end…heretic” I said with a voice, dripping with venom. “Well”, he said sadly, “I guess I have a new subject”, with that he summoned forth a Golden saint. I closed my eyes, feeling the connection between the caster and the summoning., and then I severed it.
The eyes of the necromancer turned wide in shock as the creature now free from it’s casters will, turned at him. The Saint, outraged by having been summoned, tore into it’s former master, cutting him to ribbons, before it turned it’s deathly metallic stare to me.
-“What do I owe you for this…mortal” it spoke with a hollow metallic voice…I realized I had done it a favour by freeing it, so I took the natural answer…”begone from this place…return to the fires of Oblivion”.
It nodded, before disappearing in a glimmer of golden dust. I put the place to the torch, before heading out, back to Molag Mar.

Thanks for the long-awaited update. I was particularly amused by the golden saint incident. I guess I had never thought that the daedra might be unhappy about having been summoned; Telina certainly made good use of that here. I do hope we'll see more of Salina; we've barely gotten to know her.

Here we go.
-"Ah Telina, welcome back...I was almost beginning to think you had run into trouble", he said with a mock worried expression. I grinned smugly at him. "Tharer dear, I NEVER look for trouble, trouble just always seem to know where I am for most of the time...I like a quiet life you know".
He snorted, but managed to hide his laugh behind a large cough. "True, but still your ability to make it out of trouble earns you the rank of Curate, and this sword here" he handed me a sword with some rather nasty lightning spel on it. The sword itself was just a regular steel one, with enchantments, a fitting gift to Salina I guess, after all she ahd to earn her weapons and armour if she were to borrow any from me.
-"Now, I have one last mission to you...a bit south from your stronghold, there is a Dwemer ruin called Galom Daeus, that is a vampire lair, and I want you to kill the leader Raxle Berne, I have a few gifts for you as well, take these, and may Vehk bless you".
I accepted the (massive) hammer, THE Veloths judgement actually, a rather nice ring, and a handy healing belt. I bade him goodbye, and activated my stronghold ring. I quickly explained the situation to Manilius, and he just nodded, and left. A few moments later he was back in full equipment, dwemer claymore in his hands...I just smiled, the vampires would never know what hit them.
Finding the ruin wasn't so hard, considering I ahd seen it earlier from the top of my Tel. finding Berne proved more difficult however. In the first room, a female vampire ran at me and Manilius, but by some twist of fate (or the fireball I sent9, she stumbled on the edge of a lava pit, and was burned to death by the molten rock.
I and Manilius continued to sneak through the ruin, I looked around the corner, and my face stood a few inches from a vampire.
-"Er...I dont think you are allowed to be here", the vampire said shyly. "Oh really, well if I can say so, this ruin happens to be on my land, so therefore it is perfectly my buisness to be here", I snapped.
-"Fine fine...I hate being a vampire, I thought it would give me advantages, but no, I cant even get laid, and everyone shuns me", he continued complaining, and everyone who knew me would have run away fast after seeing the evil smirk on my face.
-"You know, I have a solution to your problem" I said seductively. He turned around looking hopefuly at my face, I smirked again, and then, whiped the concealed dagger I held in my hand across his throat. He treshed around a bit, before he turned to ashes.
Soon we came to a crossroad, with two sets of dors, I pointed at the door n front of us, and Manilius nodded, slowly opening the door and entering, closing it fast again. I turned around to the other door to my right, and began inspecting it.
I could feel it was traped, quite heavily too, I ran my hands over the rough surface. I felt my magic inside my, and tried commanding it, willing it to pour into the door, disarming the trap. Imagine ,my shock when it worked, a quick 'click' told me the dor had been unlocked, and the trap was gone as well, no magic remained.
I downed an invisibility potion, and snuck carefully through the corridors, until I found a door that was laden with protectieve wards...a thiefs true challenge. But I am not called who I am for no reason am I, so after again willing my magic to break the wards, and lock the door opened, with me feeling a bit drained.
[b]-"What do you want"[/i] said an ice cold voice, which I realised ahd to belong to Berne.
-"I want you dead Berne, so...lets dance", I yelled at him, while I sent a fireball, and fired two bolts at him. He dodged the fireball, along with the first bolt, but the second one hit him squarily in his chest.
And so began a game of cat and mouse...where I certainly was the mouse. berne had lunged towards me with unnatural speed and agility, his bare fist with claws three inches long, hitting and cutting towards me. I dodged and blocked all I could, but the strength and speed of the vampire was too great, and soon I was lying on my back, hile he stood over me with a superior grin.
Somehow the book of Forgotten Magic, which Zurin had given to me long time ago was lying in front of me, and it had...opened. I could only see one spell, the description was rather nice though.
QUOTE
Lumos Solarum. A spell which generates a light as intensieve as the sun, exellent use against Vampires, and for quick escapes, or blinding oponent.
Berne suddenly realised what the spell did, and he gulped. "Eh n-n-now l-lets be reasonable, there is no need to use that". Ther rest was cut off, as I had whiped my hand up, yelling 'LUMOS SOLARUM' at the top of my lungs. The light was blindingwhite, and a humming sound permated the air. Once the spell was finished, I was toatally bereft of any magic, and Berne was lying in a pile of dust on the floor.
As I was about to leave, I saw an interesting book on the table. 'Secrets of the Dwemer Anumulculi', shrugging I picked it up, and put it in my bag, and then I sat down supporting myself on the wall, the Book of Forgotten Magic in my lap...

Vampires are always good sparring partners, they really test the strength and minds of their challengers. I'm glad I caught back up on this one because the various forms of magic used by the character keep me guessing what will happen next. I sat there, reading through the most peculiar bok. It was big...BIg several hundred pages, concerning most obscure magic. The most interesting of the easy stuff, was called transfiguration, the ability to transform items into something else, and to conjure up any item possible.
Other interesting things was that of natural and elemental magic. I realised that what Jaron had thought me was nowhere near the same elemental magic instructed in this book. The book explained how you could find your inner elementals, and how to summon them up.
Natural magic was just that...nature, I realised that I could control weather, create winds lightning storms, healing...the book gave me more knowledge than any Telvanni had ever had. My only dissapointment was that I ahd to start small and easy, to build up my magical core, and that the magic would come easier after a while.
I also discovered that I would no longer need to waste time with pointless chanting to make a spell work...only with determined willpower, and a strong desire I could force my magic to produce the results I needed...hehe, fireballs would be much more interesting now.
Remembering my mission, I left Galom Daeus, and I only made a litte stop, concentrating my magic, and again completely draining my core, I managed to conceal the building. Manilius escorted me back to my Tel, where I had the misfortunes of stumbling upon my newest employee. Sevina Delan was a most fuzzy nurse, and wouldnt let me move an inch from bed before I had rested, complaining about magical exhaustion, and uncarefullness.
I made out a littge chuckle at her antics, and as soon as she turned her back, I had translocated to Molag Mar, offering a thanks to whoever foul god saved me from the nurse. Tharer was more than pleased with my mission, and told me that his dor was always open, but sadly he had no more missions for me.
I decided to try my luck with Tuls Valen in Ald Rhuun again, and to my big surprise the only thing he had left was a mission to cleanse the dark cult stationed in Hassour, the cave I had so boldly entered a few weeks ago. The look on his face when I smothly told him that I had decided I needed something to kill my time with and entered Hassour and cleansed it...priceless. But I did get promoted to Disciple though, and a message to go to Ghostgate and talk to Uvoo Laren.
I looked around the temple, before I spotted Uvoo, I had a little chat with her about various things before she suddenly got serious.
-"We need you to go to Tureynulal, and recover the Cleaver of St.Felms, I am of the understanding that you participated in that failed attempt to cleanse the ruin, and so I hope that you will be able to get the cleaver back".
I nodded before I left again. Fuming at the reckless heroics, and idiotic morlas of those wannabe warriors under the name Bouyant Armigers, I went into the Ordinator wault to find some equipment. Seeing as my cuirass was badly tarnished, I exhanged it for a glass one, and I also grabbed a glasshelmet gauntlets and pauldrons. I fitted my theurgist robe over the armour, so the only noticable armour was the helmet and the pauldrons, then I started the long and dangerous trek towards Tureynulal.

I had been walking towards Tureynulal for three days, cursing my once again returned bad luck, as I clove me umphteenth cliffracer in two. I really needed some other way, some way to get there fast, so I decided to read in my book, while stopping to break my fast.
I looked at a portion that looked promising, while sipping a bit hot tea.
Teleportation magic was...well wast, and the topics were difficult, but easy to read, and altough it was tedious I learned many ways to travel around now. Sighing after a nine hour readout through teleportation, I packed my book, and prepared.
I closed my eyes, reaching in towards my inner centre, after I had found my magical core, I started to draw out a tendril of magic, working it in delicate patterns, forming complicated runes in the air, while muttering on a long forgotten (recently re-learned by me) language. Sensing that it was now complete, I stopped, and opened my eyes again.
In front of me, in the middle of ashy-hell-nowhere, stood a door. Simply that, a single brown door, reaching out, I grabbed the handle and opened the door, gasping at the sight that met me. In front of me stood the powerful Dwemer ruin citadel of Tureynulal, marveling at my accomplishment, I stepped in, and the portal closed and dissapeared out of thin air.
I looked smugly around, this was great...tiring but great nonetheless, I looked forward to shock Baladas with this. I contemplated my next move, a meal and a little rest was assured before venturing into the ruin at least.I woke after my short rest, and carefully went into the ruin, walking in complete silence not to disturb the creatures, at least I was, until I stepped on the greasy dwemer tube.
Cursing my clumsyness and those damned beffudled fols of creatures that lived here, in quite many different languages, I suddenly realized that I was not alone anylonger...
Ok:I know it's a short one but it's all I could manage right now.

Telina" Why I'm flattered Minque...finally someone who have realized my potential".
ME"Shut up you....grrrrrr" *throws temper tantrum* Dont listen to her, she's just been way too bored lately...RL is killing my time, so I have little time to write
.In front of me was a pair of rather long and skinny feet. My eyes folowed them upwards, until I was staring into the cold merciless pits of darkness that was Dagoth Tureynul's eyes...
oh buggar, just my luck isn't it, I thought to myself.
I took another look around the rom...great an ash vampire in front of me, and surrounded by flesh hungry beasties to boot...the gods are probabarly laughing at me right now. With the agileness of a cat, I jumped to my feet, loking frantically for an exit, as the wall of corprus monsters came closer..."Cant we all just get along"? I asked nimbly while carefully sliping a couple of darts in my hand.
Tureynul just grinned evilly at me, and opened his mouth to speak...just what I needed, getting attacked by foul breath, it did have it's advantages though, like the two darts that penetrated his throat, killing him on the spot.
The corprus monsters stared dumbly at me, wondering most likely if this piece of food, was to smart to walk up to...after all their master had just been killed by it.
I decided to make the decision for them, and started with my favourite sport...fireball throwing. After watching seven of their companiens fall for my o so foul magick, they turned and fled, alowing me to search for that idiotic herocomplexed guy who had lost a Temple artifact.
I found him...or what was left of him in a cellar with a lavapit, but the 'poor' corprus stalker in there, hapened to accidentaly-with-no-interference-from-me-whatsoever, to stumble into the pit. I took the damned cleaver, which happened to be a nice shiny axe, and once again started to draw on my magic, feeding it into the void, so that I could create another portal, once I had done that, I stepped in, and collapsed in front of Uvoo Llaren, in the ghostgate Temple, with the cleaver in my hand.

Short but to the point. Rule number one, don't even try to gloat. Kill your opponent and gloat over the corpse. (Yup, and this comes from a guy whose characters love to break that rule.)
Hmm, I suppose those portals are quite draining on the Magicka? (To explain the collapse)

Feb 23 2007, 11:23 PM
Ok, here I come back after a rather to long break (sometimes RL is just a Umbrella)....now, to compensate, I'll give you an update today...
I woke up in the Ordinator quarters with Uvoo standing over me, a look of complete disbelief on her face..."What something on my face" I asked smugly.
-"No I...I how in the name of Vehk did you manage to get the cleaver and get out of there without injury in such a short time"? I scrunched my face up in a look of deep consentration, before telling her rather smugly, "Why magic of course, what do you take me for...some herocomplexed Armiger"? I sneered at her, before straightening my posture, and walking out.
I had barely gotten outside before I collapsed in giggles...good god it was good to snap at people sometimes
And when I was sitting there, I noticed in front of me, there was a rather interesting piece of...glass one could not call it anything else, but at the same time, it did not look like any glass I had previously seen, this was red, red as blod, while one could clearly see an inner...fire burning like a cataclysmic maelstrom inside it.
Intrigued, I grabbed it, gasping as the magical powers in this...glass piece, made their presence know in my system. At first I just sat there on my knees with one hand grabbing the large piece, before my face turned into an (intimidating I hope) full blown smirk, this glass had some rather strong powers, and the potential was enormous...all I needed now was just to find a way to use it.
Smirking I put it safely into the confess of my pack, before strolling off towards Ald Rhuun. Of course I forgot what 'strolling' towards Ald Rhuun means. Damn those cliffracers are annoying when they follow you, and I swear, the Vvardenfell cliffracers have to reproduce at an unimaginative speed, or they would bee treatened by extinction very soon, if you have ever seen the trails of 'racers' I leave behind me.
While nursing my wounds at the Ald Rhuun Temple, I contemplated about what I should do with the piece of Glass that I had, there were so many different things I could use it for...a weapon, a staff for magical means, armour. The hours I sat there were nerve wrecking. I made a list over different materials, that was possible to obtain, minerals, metals, different fluids, herbs everything...beacuse I knew that to make a weapon, or staff I would need more than just a piece of red glass.
I spent hours...countless hours, pondering over the combinations between different ingredients, and the crystal I would want, untill finally taking a break, and once more looking at the piece of glass in my hands.
Glancing at the piece, I felt a strange...reckognition, almost as if some previous memory, but it was shady, exept for two things...a magnificent staff, and a sword...

I woke up. Aparently I had fallen asleep during my ponderings. I tried to reckognise the...vision I had a little earlier, but other than the staff and the sword, I reckognised nothing. Ok, so I had this large piece of crystal, and a very large list of ingredients.
I pondered some more. Alchemy, it sounded like so much more than just potion making...was it even possible to infuse and mix potions and ingredients with magic? should such things even be tested out? I thought so at the time. And the more and more I pondered over the theory, the more adamant I became on trying it out.
Finally deciding, I transported back to my Tel, and locked myself in my alchemy lab. I looked down on the many ingredients I had. Rare Ebony, a broken daedric shortsword, dust of vampires, all manner of plants and metals...and that crystal. I scanned my book, for any useful tips when it came to enchanting, and mixing, and got a few wonderful theories...including a marvelous spell that allowed me to see the world in a different light.
I was astonished when I used it, everything was a haze between colours and mist. I could see the magical particles that was part of the building stones in everything that lingers in this world, smirking I started on the process.
I spent days...at the very least locked up in my room. Grinding ingredients to dust, melting them down into liquid, transforming them into strangly coloured gasses that I caught up in phials. My biggest dilemma was the decision I had to make, wether to melt the crystal, or shape it. In the end I decided to melt it, and reshape them into smaller crystals.
When I was finished with making all the potions, warious mix of ingredients and fluids, I started on shaping the crystals. First, I made a long piece of thin crystal, about 5'4 feet. It was too thin to be used as a staff, but after all a pice of crystal does not make a staff alone. I put it in a form, and started with adding the various ingredients and potions that I wanted into it, once everything was at place, I locked the form, with only a tiny hole at the top, where I would pour the mix of liquid Adamantium, Ebony, Glass and and Gold into the form and therefore blend together into a new metal of my own design...Ithilmar.
Ithilmar, is an ingenious piece of craftmanship. Shining brighter than the purest of silver, weighing next to nothing, and is extremely durable, and receptieve of magical reinforcement. I waited for three hours, before taking the staff out. It felt like a feather in my hands, and I could feel the heavy enchantement the mix of ingredients had brought onto it. It was completely straight, and at the head of the staff, there was four tendrils sticking up, almost as fingers, and it was where I would place the last crystal piece...
I had broken the daedric ebony into small pieces before melting them, and then added the last of the crystal, with a tiny blend of my own blood, and shaped it into a perfect orb of crystal, blood red as ever, with the same eyrie energy emnating from it. I placed the orb at the top, and the four hands clasped onto it, with a vicelike grip.
That being done, I started on decorations. At the middle, and at the lower end of the staff, I made handgrips, with leather, that was said to be originated from a dragon...this could very well be true, as I had yet to find something that could tear it apart, after that, I started carving in magical runes...runes of protection, mastery, offensive, elemental, and each rune shone with strange lights, green, blue, red always shifting. You see most people forget about the usefulness of runes, true they have wastly different efects than enchantements...but a mix between enchantements and runes is far more effectieve.
Now only one thing remained...infusing it with different souls to bolster its effects...one of the clever runes, was that it could capture souls to be used to enchant it, without needing soulgems, so there I started on summoning. All kinds of different daedra fell before me, and their souls was dragged screaming into the staff...pleased with the amount, I started with the enchantements, one by one I took them...poisoning, elemental damage with area effects and without area effects, draining enchantements and bolstering enchantments.
I marvelled my staff, yet now that it was finished, I was scared...it was powerful, too powerful, if it fell into the hands of another...well I'd rather not think of the consequenses, so I performed one last spell...that would bind it to me, yet it would require a sacrifice...a large sacrifice. With the spell having been performed, I grasped it for the first time, and screamed...screamed as the magical powers burst into me, everything started to blacken, I felt my own strength and powers dissapear, and then my sight was replaced by darkness, and I could faintly remember falling down a long long tunnel, before a quick pain in the head and then...nothingness....
Ok, so that was that, I hope you enjoyed the making of the staff, and trust me when I say this, it is the ultimate tool of destruction, fortunately with the thing Telina just did, the staff has restrictions, and not even Telina as the creator of it, can use it's full potential...yet
Next update you will find out what kind of sacrifice Telina made, and how she will deal with it...fear not its on its way.

Yippee, the choice fell on the staff!
It sure does sound powerful. The binding also reminds me of the pre-morrowind treatment of legendary artefacts. They would all (according to the lore) wander around and return to their original owner (whether death or not) if their current user had it too long in his posession.
And the design, I got the image of the Staff of Magnus in my head, with different colours.

Good theory Cloudy...hehe maybe it's true...maybe it isn't, only I know

But what I can tell you though is that the staff, is kinda like a mix between the staff of magnus, and the staff that sauruman have in the Lotr movies...so there you have it, if you can picture it.

Hmm, I personally never liked Saruman's staff. It looked like a toy to me.
Never mind that. It isn't the appearance that counts, it is the POWER!

Very vivid description of the creation of the staff. It certainly seems to hold some power, and by the sounds of it, it'll look just as impressive. I wonder what the restriction will be though....

It's been a while, Tellie, since you graced us with an update. I'm ecstatic that you have, and I do hope we'll see more. I know how busy RL can get, and I'm glad that you've managed to fit us into your schedule.
This staff sounds like quite a powerful creation. I do hope that Telina hasn't sacrified too much in her pursuit of power for this weapon. I am definitely looking forward to hearing more about what this staff can do and what it cost her to make it.

I just remembered something which shows just how much Telina has changed.
Does anyone remember her temporary ownership of Umbra the sword? She threw it in a lavapit somewhere on Red Mountain all the way back in chapter 2. Back then, she considered the sword pure evil and was happy to be rid of it. Now though, she's created her own soulsucking weapon of doom and this one even has some additional tricks beyond soulsucking and clubbing in heads. Talk about changing your opinion.

Some would say you have a point there cloudy...

BUT, in my story Umbra has a will of it's own, it WANTS to cause devestation and slaughter. The staff however does not have it's own mind. True it will kill anyone not worthy of using it

but it does not have any ultimate wishes, nor is it a manipulative controling item (the on ring anyone

)
And as for Umbra...well the idea of doing it the Lord of the ring style by throwing it in a volcano put...it was just too tempting

. But dont worry, we havent seen the last of Umbra yet

The update is coming well, and should be out tomorrow.

It's not the will that can be considered evil. It's the very nature of sucking up souls that can be considered evil. (First you kill them and then you trample on their soul and use it as your latest toy.)
Not that I mind though. I'm Telvanni so swooping up some souls for experimentation is alright.

Well here he goes.
I felt, dizzy...I could feel that I was in my bed, aparently one of my trusted emplyees had found me and placed me in my bed. I tried to open my eyes, I felt my eyelids open, and was shocked at what happened. everything was just black...and then I realized what sacrifice I ahd done, at least some part of it...I was blind!
A few attempts to move later, also told me that my physical shape had hit rock bottom. I groaned, just my luck, I just had to try and become powerful, and what do I get? blindness and a physical shape that even a five year old would have been ashamed of.
On the other hand though, I felt rather good...exellent actually, no more supreme almost invinsible more like it, and I realized why. The staff itself was bound to me, and I was bound to it. And while the sacrifice I ahd done was rather...titanic, I had never felt magic so strong...complete before. Something aabout magic I'll tell you.
It exists in all of us, sort of like a balloon. In other words everyone have a magical core, or reserve if you want to put it like that. Now the thicker the baloon is the more difficult it is to squeese magic out through it. But me, I dont believe I had one more, my magic it was simply everywhere, it flowed through me like a wast ocean, filled with raging storms that could chrush mountains. You see, we humanoid races one could say, are not born intuned to magic, like the worlds magical creatures are, we have to train ourselves to become closer to it, it works almost like a muscle, but me, I was not intuned with magic...I was part of it one could say.
I could feel the swirhling energies around me, but ofcourse I would have to be careful to not use more than I could handle, otherwise my magic would become unstable and in the end explode outwards...and trust me when I say, with magical power on my scale, an uncontrolled magical explosion would become devestating.
I focused my magic, forcing it first to my eyes, altough I could not see noremally, I could still see, and after a few moments, I could see almost normally. When I say almost, it was the fact that noremal unenchanted objects were still a bit hazy for me, but I could see good enough to see the differance between the floor, the walls etc. But what I could see clearly like the bright sun, was enchanted objects, crystals, and most importantly, I could see if a person was behind a wall...quite handy this magical sight.
Now that I had mastered vision, I experimented a bit wth forcing magic to flow through my limbs, moving the muscles in stimulating manners. I held back a cry of pain, as the muscles screamed at the pressure of being put to hard work. In the end I just sighed, and just forced my magic to allow me normal movement, if though a little more cautious than before. After that I focused on my desire, forcing my staff to pop up into existance in my right hand.
I raised my arms, and magically spent my weapons belt at my waist, having done that, I moved into the dining hall, where most of my household was seated.
-"My lady, what...what happened to your eyes"? was the first thing that Raina managed to blurt out. I sat warily down in my chair, before holding a hand up for complete silence. "I dont know, is there something wrong with my eyes"? I asked in a curious tone, but just added a little bit of magic in the words, so thyat it came out as a clear comand at the same time.
-"No I- I...it's just that...that they are, I mean Dunmer eyes are blood red while yours are...swirhling silver mylady", she ended hesitantly.
I smiled at her...so that was how y eyes looked like now, interesting. "Ah es, overstimulance to magical energies I'm afraid", I added dramatically, "in order to not damage myself, I had to allow my magic to manifest itself a bit more...and, wel, magic most often show their intensity in peoples eyes, so nothing dangerous", I added with a tone that said no more questions on the matter.
Why not say what had really happened some might say? well, it's not that I didn't trust my people, well actually it might...loyal or not, If I had let it slip that I was more or less blind without straining myself with magic to see, or the fact that I was in worse shape for a physical fight than what I had been in when I first came to this island...there would always bee some upstart Telvanni, who would start getting ideas and try to...dispose of me. And while I do not nessecarily like a few *coughmostcough* of my emplyees in House Telvanni, they are needed, and mercenaries cost money, and I could think of a number of beter things to spend money on, than to constantly hire more men to the house. So there I sat, in silence, wondering what in the name of Oblivion I was going to do now...
Okay, so that was it...and while it may sound impressieve with the magical energies she now posess, she is extremely weak, since she must constantly force her magic to allow her to move almost normally, and have some means of sight, which is very tiring...so casting one of those trusted fire/frostballs would be ratherr difficult for the moment...and she ahs yet to even unlock some of the staff...since at the moment it does nothing for her, other than providing a mean to support her when she stands.

Wow, that was quite some sacrifice Tellie. Especially since she's now currently worse off than before she even made that staff. Hopefully she learn was she needs to to restrengthen herself before someone decides to take advantage of her weakened state.

Mmm, Telina's new sight sounds very similar to the Miriluka in StarWars: KOTOR 2. They're naturally born blind, and "see" with the force....... anyway, it seems this sacrifice was certainly incovenient for her. Opens up possibilities.....
