"Hmm, yes, I was afraid this might happen," Veric said as he began to pace, "However, things have changed since we last spoke. There's an inside man..." he replied in answer to Hecate's last comment. "Rahvin. Well, it's not really Rahvin, rather a man named Cerpin in his body.

"But... How would you use this to your advantage?"

Hecate

"I need the half-breed to be unfocused on me, there have to be something covering up her sensiblity for evil and forgetting about me. Her feels have to be completely focused on someone else..." Hecate replied with a wicked smile, knowing that it could work just perfectly.

"Give her something to shew on and she won't notice the threat lurking in the shadows behind her... stalking her, finishing her" He added...

OOC: not 100% where you're going with this but...

Veric

Veric smiled, "Love seems to clog the senses of these two 'evil sensitive' girls, Telina and Brianna. Both of the women share a love for Rahvin. It just so happens we have control of their Rahvin.

"I'll get in contact with Cerpin, see what I can't get him to do."

Hecate

"Exactly, hopefully this Rahvin... I mean Cerpin, can make them more focused on each other and Rahvin, getting less paranoid when I'm moving around" Hecate responded...

Veric

"Okay, hold back a bit, but don't completely go out of sight, that would be suspicious. Hell do a good deed or something," Veric added with a chuckle. "I'll get a hold of Cerpin to tell him what's going on. It may take a while, but you will know whenever this plan has been put into motion."

With that the makeshift walls disipitated silently into a fine dust which carried away on the wind until out of sight. Veric pulled his disappearing act once more, and took the responsibility of hunting down a guard.

A young one, big fellow, Nordic as most were in this region. Carried a spear. Tension was high and the guards were patrolling the streets, this one made the mistake of wandering into a back alley. (of course always the alley) His death was silent and painless, Veric simply placed his hand on the back of the guard's neck and whispered a nifty little spell...


Town Guard

A guard wandered into the small healing camp that had been extablished outside the still smoldering inn. He was carrying a folded piece of parchment in his hand. The guard pushed his way through the band of people and made his way straight to Rahvin.

"Serjo Rahvin, from an old friend around town," the Nordic guard, who was slightly too small for his armor said while handing Rahvin the parchment, "For your eyes only," he added, his yellow eyes glaring into Rahvin's, a hint of mischief on them.

The guard strolled off...

The words vanished as 'Rahvin's' eyes moved over them.

Cerpin

"I don't have any old friends." he said to the guard, just going on what he had seen of Rahvin's demeanor.

He read the note before ripping it up and stopming it to the ground. Of course, the words were gone, but he had to make it seem as if it had said something.

This bastarde wants my kill. he thought bitterly.

Sadril

It was nothing special, the easiest place to sneak into while town security was so hot. A middle aged female was Sadril's victim for the night. The blood of average quality. Enough to sustain him until the next night.

He walked down the streets of Lainlalten rather lazily. The vampire felt more tired than usual for this time of night. Especially considereing he rarely slept. And there was this nagging feeling in the back of his head aside from the overbearing evil presence.

The shadows, the 'voices', were quieter than usual considering the situation. As if something else was going on that had them preoccupied. Sadril had no problem with it though, it was a welcome break.

Brianna

Brianna waited a bit away, "Rahvin" was talking to that guard...she didn´t want to interfere......

"Oh by Azura, I love that man" she thought......her eyes glistened.....her entire appearance was more bright and vivid

"Rahvin!.....don´t you think we should be looking for somewhere to sleep? I´m sure you could do with some rest.....and perhaps a drink?" Brianna gently touched his arm....



Serene, Vivec High Fane

Serene looked sternly at the dunmer lady so bluntly interrupting the meeting between Tholer saryoni and her.

"What do you wa.......Oh! Telina! What on Nirn brings you here?

Cerpin

"A drink would be nice." he said, seeing a wonderful opportunity. He stood and walked back towards the charred inn where he began digging around for a drink of some sort.

He stepped over his old body that was severely burned and disfigured, and slyly took the glove from it and placed it in his pocket.

He finally did find a bottle of wine intact and walked back out to share it with Brianna.

"Cheers." he said, popping the cork.

Telina, Vvardenfell

"I'm afraid I have some good news, and some bad news"-

"The good news is that Brianna is pregnaid, so you're going to be a grandmother"...she sighed and continued..."The bad is that she is being hunted by assassins, who want her and the child dead, and I am to weak to take on them all by myself, so I really need your help...and there is something else, I believe that what is happening now, might give me clues to where I can find my missing son".

Brianna, with Rahvin/Cerpin

"Cheers to you" Brianna smiled, "Now please tell me what made you turn to me, instead of Telina?"

She was happy for the first time since Jadier´s death.....the child kicked her gently from inside and she took "Rahvin´s" hand and put it on her belly

"Sush, love, do you feel it?"




Serene Vivec

"Grandmother????.....Hmm I´m not so sure it´s good news! Bree isn´t married, she just mess around with older , married men....I knew something like this would happen!."
Serene stood silent for a while...

"Hunted , you say?? Why would she be hunted? What did she do?....Now of course I´ll stand by your side Telina dear.......No problem! I´ll revive some really nice spells that could come in handy here"

Serene gave Telina a hearty smile

"I´m afraid we´ll have to continue this meeting later Master Saryoni,"

Telina

"Hmm, I guess you're right there, but we really need to get going, so grab my hand and I'll get us over to Lainlalten".

She took Serene by the hand, strongly speaking the words "Ut locas edamn Lainlrt", and then, they were ripped off Vvardenfell, and flew through Tamriel, before landing outside the now completely burnt out inn".

OOC. I'll be away for a while now, so I dont know if I'll be able to come on again, but I will definately be here tomorrow...so just control Telina, until my return minque mkay?

Hecate

Veric took off into the shadows, to tell Cerpin out this plan they had figured out. Hecate was curious thought, whow as this Cerpin? Hecate usually worked alone, but he knew it was for the better to be more people in, even thought the reward might drop. Still Hecate was left with this nervous feeling of why this woman was suppose to get killed, it had gotten to him several times now - he was poking someone here.

Without further thought about that subject he did as Veric and he took off into the shadows of the claustrophobic alleyways. He made his way acrobaticly up the wall of a small mansion some what three-hundred feet away from the inn, which had been transformed into a pile of ash and a couple of dead bodies. He crawled slowly up on the roof, stomach down, only getting his eyes over the top curve of the roof. His keen eyes didn't have any problem catching what happend near the inn in detail. He watched his prey and how the situation was unfolding.

Arygon turned toward Rahvin, Archon's Blade fully extended from his mechanical arm, He usually isn't THAT arrogant... Arygon thoguht to himself. Arygon noticed Archon's Blade, it really did react to his emotions. Then he was surpised as Telina appeared not a foot in front of him, "ummm... Telina what would've happened if you landed... in me?" Arygon asked quite nervously, he had never gotten an anwser from any mage what would happen if you transported into something...

Cerpin

Cerpin had been about to make up a reason why he chose Brianna over Telina, something about his heart, but she 'shushed' him before he could.

Then he was about to say something about the baby, but Telina returned with...

Serene? The one that helped defeat Arcyakt? Cerpin thought, barely able to believe it. Arcyakt was his distant ancestor, having been in Oblivion much longer than the thousand years Cerpin had been alive. Arcyakt's return ten years ago had shocked him, though not as much as his defeat. I'd better watch my step around her...

Rahvin

I swear you have to hear me Sadril. he screamed again. Or, if he could actually speak, he would have been screaming. Instead, he was sending thoughts that never reached their target; they merely bounced off the vampire's mind and returned to him.

As much as he hated being confined to Sadril's mind, it gave him time to think. He thought about his situation with Brianna and Telina, almost thankful he didn't have to deal with it at that moment. He thought about what the hell happened to him.

Did I die and somehow cheat death?

OOC: I'll be back in a while; have to go into town and pick up a part for my washing machine.

Deagan, near the Inn

Deagan watched as Telina appeared again with some older woman...

What the hell is going on here?

"Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?" Deagan asked plainly as he stared at Serene

He hadn't heard anything about this woman being brought here or why...it just seemed off to him.

Brianna

Brianna couldn´t believe her eyes.....Telina did come back with....her mother! It was a long time since she last met Serene and that last meeting was nothing she liked to remember....Also "Rahvin" gave Serene a weird look..as if he knew her!!??

"Do they know each other? But....I don´t understand!!"

"Mother?" Brianna stepped forward to Serene, "How....how are you?"

"Rahvin...say something! This is weird!"


Serene, just arrived

"Bree! You look awful! What on Nirn happened here? Some kind of fire?"

Serene then noticed "Rahvin"......she looked him right into his eyes.......peering

"Now you are not the man you appear to be......Rahvin, bah! No I know you.....and rest assure I won´t let you hurt neither Bree nor Telina!"

"Good day to you, now who might you be? Serene said to "Rahvin"

She then turned to another man that just showed up greeting her in a rather rude way

"I am Serene, Brianna´s mother" she said coldly

Arygon bowed, despite the rudeness of others Arygon could recognise a noble. Excellent! this could be easy.. if she's not like Brianna at least. Arygon thought to himself. "My Lady, I see where Brianna got her looks." Always compliment them, makes it easier later Arygon pondered how he was going to get anything valueable... it seemed she carried everything in sachels..

Flint Ironwood, still on his guard.

Flint was still circling around with his blades in his hands when Telina came back, with a woman.
,,Eh, someone else here to join the party? Hi, I'm Flint. And you are?" He said to the woman without bothering to put away his weapons. He then heard her talk about a fire and blushed. Luckily he was still wearing his mask.
,,The fire? Long story." He stammered before continuing his circling. This would be just the time for something nasty to pop up.

Serene

"Quite crowdy here isn´t it?" Serene turned to Telina, then to her daughter shaking her head.

The breton that stood a bit aside was at least polite so she smiled at him, introduced herself, when she noticed the somewhat way he watched her....

"That´s a funny one.....not as stable and sensble as Trey....no no"

"So ...what can I do for you all here? What do you want from me?"

"Brianna.....go and put some decent clothes on!!! There are a lot of men here!"


Brianna

Brianna blushed.......
"She´s always picking on me....I can´t do anything right in her eyes"

"I´m sorry mom, I don´t have any other clothes......there was a fire you know!"

"Rahvin....help me!!"

Sadril

Sadril returned, his thirst satisfied, to find a newcomer. Something was off about her though, something special. This 'Serene' gave him a strange feeling of... he couldn't explain it well. Good-ness. Different than all these other eyes that are watching us.

The vampire approached in a peculairly cautious fashion. He looked into Serene's eyes from off to the side, but said nothing.

Archon's Blade had completely retracted, How odd Arygon thought to himself that noone has noticed my... oddity. Arygon pondered for a moment. "Sadril, hwere have you been?"

Serene

She felt something approach......

"Uh..a vampire!..but....he´s got some dual personality.....and is not all evil..it seems.....hmm there´s someone´s mind trying to reach him but unsuccessful...I wonder...."

Then her very sensitive mind got a nasty schock......EVIL......there was some evil spirit not far away.....she could feel it like a blow in her face.....but the evilness did not emerge from anyone near..it came from.....somewhere quite a bit away....

Serene turned around silently sniffing like a dog to localize the evil spirit..or rather mind!

Cerpin

I'm exactly who I claim to be, m'lady. he responded telepathically. I have no desire to harm you, your daughter, or Telina.



Cerpin

Cerpin looked to Serene as if they never had any mental conversation.

"No need to be so hard on her; I happen to like her just fine whatever she's wearing." he said with a wink to Brianna.

Sadril

"Take a guess and you'd probably be right," Sadril shot back coldly, not wanting to reveal that he had just gotten back from feeding in front of the newcomer. Serene gave him on odd feeling down his spine. Sadril raised an eyebrow when he actually looked at Arygon, "Nice arm, what the hell happened?"

Serene

Serene looked at Cerpin with a bit sarcastic smile...

"Oh yes?? Well Cerpin Taxt, knowing you from back then I´m not really sure.....so you just prove it huh!" she "telepathed" back

"Oh mr..you do? Well no wonder, those clothes barely cover her secret spots so I can imagine you like it!!!!

She shrugged......the evil mind came to her much stronger now..


"Where are you, evil mind, have the guts to show your face...coward!!"

Flint Ironwood, all acting paranoid.

Flint was seriously getting frustrated. He hated invisible enemies. Of course, he had no real reason to believe anyone evil to be around, but he just had this feeling. And feelings had saved his life more than once.

He smiled a bit when he heard Sadril's comment about Arygon's arm.
,,That guy is so full of surprises, he can't surprise me anymore." He thought to himself. He then got serious again.

,,Hey, bad guy! I know you're here! Don't act like a coward and hide in the shadows. Come over here where I can knock you down instead! I won't let you kill anyone for as long as I'm standing here! So come here, unless you got scared!" He suddenly shouted into the air.


(Ok, Flint is losing his grip on reality. )

Arygon watched the Rahvin and Brianna's mother argue... it seemed there was more conversation than you could hear. "Hmmm... long story.. to do with my father mainly..." Arygon felt a strong pain in his leg, he realised the blade had stabbed outward again. "So... Rahvin... changed your mind?" Arygon laughed, it was fun to see them fight, it kept them from thinking of why he was still here.

Telina

Telina noticed Serene, talking to Rahvin, and from what she felt, Serene was telepathically talking to him as well...good, so it wasn't just telina who was suffering from the normal Telvanni paranoia.

"Ok, but I really think we should get going...fast, as there are someone after us...and they wont spare anyone of us, if they catch up with us".

"I feel it also, there is great evil approaching us...I feel watched" she said telepathically to Serene.

OOC: how does Serene know him? He's only heard of her.

Cerpin

You don't know me, except in stories. It goes both ways sweetheart. The tales of you exaggerate your goodness, while the tales of me exaggerate my evil. It's not my fault that others fear me is it?

Cerpin put his hands up defensively. "Hey, it's her business what she wears, not mine. I was just giving my opinion." he continued to ignore Arygon, as the real Rahvin would have.

Don't give me away just yet. Give me a chance to fulfill Rahvin's dying wish.

Sasal

"With never a false word,
Weal and woe, wish and real,
Woven each together...
....hummm...hummm...."

Sasal noticed a flash of light as telina and another woman step from it. She was somewhat hard to see in his view, as he was allergic to saltrice. Soon he herd the older womans voice Is that.... no... he thought in his head as he identified the woman as Serene, a woman he had not seen in ages.... only remembering her as a former advisary durring his days of endless skirmishes .... Probly the only woman i had a thing for he thought to him self as he looked at her, wiping some snow from his mouth's scar.

Serene

"Ok I think you´re right Telina.....after all you were here all the time, you know the backstory.....let´s go then"

"Ahhh ...so you feel it too? Good then we know it´s not just my spooky mind"

Serene took off her cloak and put it over Brianna´s shoulders......



Serene

"Ha! I also know you from a mutual...."friend".....and I do not fear you!! Mmmm sure I won´t give you away....you probably have a very good reason to act like you do!! You can trust me......but remember I can read your mind just as easy as you read mine ok??"

"Ok" Serene sighed.....satisfied with Brianna being properly covered wearing her cloak


Brianna

Brianna turned to "RAhvin", trying to take his hand, she somewhat felt awkward having Serene around, her mother was too impressive.....she sort of took too much place.....All she wanted now was to have some peace and get a good night´s sleep...together with "Rahvin"

Cerpin

This relationship is going to have to be built on trust. he replied. Sure, I can read your mind and you can read mine, but both of us can also shield our minds. Basically, I want my privacy without you getting suspicious every time I keep you from reading mind, and I'm sure you want the same. Deal?

Cerpin took Brianna's hand and squeezed it comfortingly.

I will be out of you and your daughters' lives very soon.

Serene

Serene smiled..

"Deal!!....Now why do you want to leave Bree? She´s obviously deep in love with you...I think you could do with a bit of loving my dear.....It wouldn´t hurt you at all!...On the contrary it might make you a better man"


Brianna

Brianna smiled, then stretched herself upwards and kissed "Rahvin" on his cheek

"Heey......if you put your arm around my waist you might feel the baby kicking"

"Oh how soft I am.....I´m totally carried away...this is not how it felt with Jadier.....strange..."

Cerpin

Your daughter doesn't love me; she loves Rahvin. Before he died and I took his body, Rahvin asked me to tell Brianna farewell without her knowing he died. I'm honoring his last wish before I go my own way. I figure it's the least I could do since he let me take his body.

Cerpin did put his arm around Brianna, but felt nothing. "I guess he's asleep."

Sasal

He stood from his kneeling position and proceded to Serene. "Greetings muthera, i am Sasal Valor" He said as he kept his head down, blushing. He stuck his hand out to Serene as he waited for her to make contact with his hands.

Flint Ironwood, totally losing it.

Flint yelled his challenge a couple more times before running off and swinging his blades at various shadows in the hope of hitting something invisible.

,,Where are you, you monster?!"


(Bedtime, having Flint run around like a Berserking Orc is probably the best for now. If someone attacks, feel free to make Flint provide telekinetic fire support.)

Serene

"Nonsense! She loves the man you are now! If your name is Rahvin or Cerpin...doesn´t matter! But why wold Rahvin wanna tell Brianna farewell? After what Telina told me Rahvin was in love with her....not Brianna! And are you sure Rahvin is dead? .....I´m not!"

Brianna

"Oh silly dunmer.....aunt Celia used to say that about uncle Sel, and I just love that expression, you put your arm on the wrong spot! come I´ll show you"

Brianna moved Cerpin´s arm a bit up.....and the baby made a really strong kick..Brianna moaned

"Ouch".....

Sadril

"Behind you!" Sadril yelled, keeping Flint on his guard (or just to screw with him one), "But yes," he continued in a more serious tone, confronting everyone, "I have a feeling this town is no longer safe. Perhaps we should seek shelter elsewhere?"

Cerpin

Rahvin did love Telina, it's true, but he knew that Brianna loved him too. He wanted to leave without making the both of them sad about his death. And if Brianna loves Cerpin so much, how come she calls me 'Rahvin'. Besides, I've only been in this body since that inn burned down.

"Celia? Sel? You knew them?"

Oh of course she did. he said, continuing his conversation with Serene. She's your daughter.

Arygon sat on the ground, quite bored with the conversation. "Flint, what ARE you doing?" Arygon asked. He carried a lantern over to Flint. "Theres nothing here... Flint are you ok?" Arygon was worried, an insane peron wasn't the best one to have along on a trip.

Sasal

Looking at Serene, sasal thought How little you have changed since we last spoke....
even thought it usualy ended up in an fight of somesort..... Sasal sighed as he awaited for Serene to shake his hand
Blushing even more that before, he stuttered, "G-gggday to yyy-yyou mm-muthera-a" he said again as he presented her with a fine emerald necklace, "A Gift to you" he said

Serene

"Rahvin is a good man really, compassionate....yes "is", because I´m sure he isn´t dead, I can feel his soul.... Why of course Bree would call you Rahvin....she doesn´t know of a "Cerpin", she still thinks you are Rahvin..oh my gosh her brain is so distorted from this love thing that she can´t think rational anymore. I judt know she loves the man I see in front of me...whoever he is!"


Brianna

"Why yes!!! Of course I know Uncle Sel and Aunt Celia! After mom was away on that long journey.....they were regulars at home.....and I love them very much"

Brianna was silent, remembering those days was painful to her, the fate of her stepfather and stepsister was like a dark cloud over her life and she knew Serene couldn´t stand even thinking about it. But the friendship between Serene´s family and Sel´s was still very strong

Cerpin

Not to be rude, but it wasn't Rahvin's wish that I start seeing his love's rival in his body. Think of how Telina would feel about that...I have to honor Rahvin's wish. If you think you feel Rahvin's soul, then who's body is he inhabiting? If he's alive then I could return his body to him after I find another...

"They sound like nice people."

OOC: I'd prefer if you didn't actually know who Rahvin was inhabiting.

Telina

"Ok, not to be rude or anything, but I say we should get moving quite quick, we are after all being hunted by unknown assassins, so my tip is that we head out towards Dawnstar".

"Serene, I have a feeling, I dont think I will stay with you any longer, my time is closing...but if the worst shöuld happen, find my son and...and tell him that I love him".

OOC. We really should get out from this town.

Serene

"Ok..ha....you are very concerned about Rahvin....and still you stole his body? Weird I think.... But I tell you the obvious truth.....about Bree´s feelings because I know them by now.....
And no..I´m sorry I don´t know where Rahvin´s soul is dwelling....."

Brianna

"Oh they are! You should have liked them! Uncle Sel is a bit harsh.....don´t speak so much but when he does he always have some stories to tell....true ones , because he has experienced a lot. I used to sit on the floor by his feet and listen to when he started the storytelling.....and Aunt Celia is the sweetest woman I know of.....so nice and kind, not so tough like mom....I sometimes wish she was my mother instead of .......her!"

Brianna pointed at Serene......with a wry face

Cerpin

He let me take his body because he knew he was going to die. He wanted at least one of us to live. Anyway, I'd prefer not to get too involved here, if you know what I mean.

"We all dream of having altmer mothers, right?" he said, trying to make a joke of the situation.

Sorry; not getting involved in any mother-daughter relationships here.

Serene

"Ok...fair enough....suit yourself....but do not hurt her feelings, because you´ll have to stand up to me then....and believe me you do not wish to do that!"

Serene shrugged and hurried her steps a bit, that man made her worried and she didn´t want to be worried......she needed to be focused..

Brianna

Brianna smiled.....

"You´re sweet" she said " Why is mother running off like that? she looks angry!"

Cerpin

Don't worry. he sent one last message to Serene as she walked away. I'll be gone as soon as I find a way to tell your daughter and Telina goodbye.

"She's probably angry because you just told her you didn't want her as a mother." he said matter-of-factly. "You should probably go talk to her."

Serene

Serene turned to Telina

"Telina!!! what kinda talk is this?...Ehhh your son??? You have a son? Ahh but of course I´ll try to find him for you......what´s his name? His looks...and where might he be?"




Serene

"I´ll be watching you!" Her message was clear......

Brianna

"I´ll talk to her later......she´s occupied with Telina at the moment! Strange that those two know each other.....I wonder who Telina really is!"
