Umm, well the trailer looks awesome. It is in fact here:
http://www.netsoc.itcarlow.ie/~blade/trailer3.mov
All I can say is that the Emperor with a lightsabre is going to be something of a spectacle to watch.
There's been some talk about the console game spoiling the fun, with about 6 minutes of the film shown. That's why I haven't got it.

Heck, I've been waiting for this since I saw the first episode (err.. 4th that is) years, almost a decade, ago.

I only ever noticed that there were two trailers. The first one showed the Emperor going.
"Darth Vader"
"Yes, Master"
"Riiisssssssse" in a really evil voice
But the second one, which is the one I got the link to, is probably better. Shows a lot more.
I think I'll have to keep a closer eye on the star wars website for news.

Personally i really don't care about it. I'll see it but i'll wait untill it comes out at Blockbuster.

The one where the guy wins 1 million dollars and darth vader comes to his house and tries to pretend to be his father.

I think Lucas wrote some sort of draft for Episode 7. Have it on my hard-disk. But he said he'd never continue the series, so... We're out of luck.

Well, perhaps some random company comes out of the blue and buys the rights to Star Wars and makes a series. Doubtful, but who knows.

I don't think so.

Silmarillion would probably be too long. It's a collection of stories that form the legends of Middle-Earth. It wouldn't interest the public that much either...

May 15 2005, 03:57 PM
Well well... Lets talk about Star Wars then... From the trailers it looks very nice done all the computer made parts, that means the whole movie

LOL...
Elongar
May 15 2005, 03:59 PM
Well, with the newest technology - the computer animated parts and the fine-tuning that can be done, it won't be anything like the previous ones. Just look at the ads and trailers and you can see how action-packed every part is.

I'm excited about this movie.
Esspecially after watching both seasons of the Star Wars: Clone Wars Mini-series all at once.
That cartoon made me so excited to see General Grevious in Episode 3.
He's just freaking badboat.

I don't think the Silmarillion would work. It would be like having a film of the entire bible, or something like that.
Anyway, I hate to disagree with everyone else, but I'm not a star-wars fan and I wont see the new movie. Unless one of you decides to fund a trip for me to go. Anyone going to do that? Anyone? ...silence...

Very nice! Shorter than I expected, though.

Takes about 2hours 40mins...

May 26 2005, 05:38 PM
It was a good ending(or well, ending and ending...) for the saga.
It did live up to my expectations even though I feared it wouldn't. It might even be one of the few movies that I actually go see twice at the cinema before getting it on DVD. Who knows...

Anakin should get to say "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" to killing Padme before becoming the shiny metal suitcase.

It felt rushed wouldn't you agree sinder?
BTW, the NOOOOOOOOOOOO! at the end was to cliche', he needed say something like
What have I done!! Was has this evil that hath beeseched(SP) me done! I am forever tormented by this burden that will weigh heavy on my heart. May your soul find rest padme...

Ok, maybe not quite like that

I really hoped that Mace was gonna get killed by Boba Fet, that he used a Disintagration Granade or something so what Darth Vader would say would at least make sence... He says I think its in the 5 to Boba Fet "No disintigrations..." but but... :ashamed:

I've read all books apart from Episode III. Episode II got "borrowed" by a "friend" and never got returned, and we're at different schools now and I have no idea where he is - the book's doomed. But Star Wars is one of those stories meant for film. I don't think the books are as good as the films. They are pretty good though.

I've got to say nothing quite compares to the first three, where they had real actors and a real story. This last one was above average for any movie, and much better than the previous two, but doesn't compare.

Agreed. Ep. 1,2,3 had horrible actors. And George Lucas somehow has the magical ability to make good actors bad. Ex. - Samuel L. Jackson, Natalie Portman....and then that line that yoda said that was REALLY lame
"Not if anything to say about it, I have." Yoda should NOT say that. EVER.
but yes, vast improvement from 1 and 2. And I did like anakin getting his legs/one arm chopped off in one swipe of a lightsaber. Ah, Star Wars...

May 27 2005, 05:21 PM
I just saw it today, and a few things I noticed, I loved it btw, but I also think I'd have liked to have seen it longer, and there was something bugging me
it's been some time since I saw the first three made, but wasn't it said in there that Vader was the way he was due to a fight he had with the emperor?
or has time started to confuse me?

I thought the movie was brilliant, and i thought it was really sad when the little jedi kids are hiding in the council chamber and they trust Anakin to protect them and he slaughters them
jonajosa
May 27 2005, 05:24 PM
Anikan is still the chosen one but he needed his son to help him uderstand what he was meant to do. Vader destroyed the darkside and balanced the force only by seeing his son in pain.

well if you're referring to my post there jonajosa, I was talking more about the suit and the metallic voice and such there
