Apr 24 2005, 08:14 PM
Davion wakes up to the sound of knocking at the door. Still woozy from sleep, Davion clabbers to his feet and starts walking around, trying to find Channler. Davion looks out the window to see Channler standing there, so he climbs out the window to aviod the person at the door, just in case it was an assassin. Davion taps Channler on the shoulder and tells him theres a man at the door, then Davion points to show Channler then walks back into the house.

Apr 25 2005, 04:46 AM
Channler and Davion both armed themselves with swords, knives and whatever weapon they could find and slowly crept to the door. Their weapons drawn Davion turned the handle on the door, and it opened.
"Room service!" The Dunmer yelled just as the door swung ipen, with two heavly armed people behind it. The Dunmer maid screamed so loudly that it was a surprise that no one else noticed. She abruptly fainted, and Channler and Davion both stared at each other for a few seconds and busted out in a heavenly laugh.
They were slumped agaisnt the almost wheezing because of the great laugh they had.
"Phew, talk about shot nerves." Channler said to Davion, it hurt to smile he had laughed so hard, "By the God's, it feels so good to let loose"
They both sat there for another few moments contimplating what they would tell they made when she woke up, and the smiles wouldn't leave their faces.

Noldyne led the adventurers through the headquarters of House Krellos and into the tunnels that led to Maar Gan.
With her assistance, they managed to avoid the guards altogether, for she knew where all the hidden chambers were and she knew which hallways the guards patrolled the most.
The next day, when Midave Vendal realized that they were gone, the group were already in Maar Gan. His fury... Can only be imaginated.
"She... She betrayed. That damn woman betrayed me!" Midave shouted when he found out of the escape of the adventurers.
"You should have never trusted her," Bradas said.
"They weren't meant to escape. I had total control of their fates. But now... They have left," the Archmaster said.
"Maar Gan is very close. We will track them down," Bradas assured him.
It was not normal for Midave to want the deaths of the adventurers so much. After all, they had not tried to kill him, just to attack his allies, an attack which would have led to the adventurers' deaths. Midave had no real reason to capture the adventurers, and no real reason to want to kill them. They had done nothing to him.
But now they had escaped from Midave's stronghold. They did something against Midave's will.
The cruel Vendal would not tolerate something like that.
He would not let a handful of adventurers escape from his deadly prisons.
Yet, for one moment, he saw things... Logically.
"Bradas, are they... Worth it?" he asked his assassin.
"They can only meddle in your affairs, my lord. It would be a good idea... To deal with them as soon as possible," Bradas answered.
"Very well. I want them dead. You claim that you have never failed an assassination mission, yes? You want to keep your honor?" Midave asked.
"All of the people who I was asked to kill are dead," Bradas replied.
"I send you know to follow these adventurers wherever they may go. I send you now to follow them like a shadow, so that they may never know that they are followed. I send you now to kill them. Noldyne is a good assassin, and she might try to keep her new friends from my wrath... And to keep you from finishing your mission. Kill her first. Then slaughter the others. Butcher them. I expect... NO MERCY. And do not worry; you shall not be alone. I will send all of House Krellos to Maar Gan... NOW. NOW GO!" Midave spoke.

"Well.. I think we should consider they already know of our escape, and we most get that artifact. A guess he will send assassins here and maybe someone heading for the artifact... "Lets go to Solstheim.. Its a nice place to hide out, we have good enough time. Even as Vendal might summon Morania and tell him about this!" Vornac paused and looked around, searching for the 'strider. He started walking against the 'strider. Aki knew quite well Vornac ignored what he said about Dunmner's..
Without at the adventurer's knowing it Zerath had been summoned by Vendal. He wanted Zerath to look for the adventurers too. As the false Duke, Zerath send out romours about a group of adventurers. Saying that they had escaped from the Imperial Prison and needed to be located and if seen reported to the nearest Imperial Officer...

While the adventurers were talking, Kalloros said the following: "I estimate they will send trackers out to find us in approximately 5 minutes, so we best head on now. Tarry not, for they come soon."
That is when a House Krellos scouting party appeared behind the adventurers.
"Just scouts. Take out your weapons, friends!" Noldyne yelled.

Wayn struck first, leaping at the enemy, seemingly unarmed. The elderly Redguard closed in on one Krellos member with great speed and agility for his age, and thrust his palm into the man's face, stopping but a centimeter from his face, while his othe rhand grappled the scout's sword arm, preventing the blade from coming down on him.
There was a sharp snap-hiss, and both the faces of Wayn and the Krellos scout were lit with a soft blue light. A glowing blue shaft of light materialized from Wayn's palm, and extended through the Krellos' head and out the the other side, the shaft ending in a tip.
Wayn drew his hand back ,the mystical blade coming with him, and he held it like a sword. The Krellos scout dropped to the group like a sack of wet potatoes, blood gripping from the hole in his forehead. Dead.
"And that folks, is why leaving Morrowind for a while to become a Sword Singer pays off," Wayn said.
"Showoff," Aki said, drawing his own sword.

Vornac took up his Ebony Longsword. He looked quite calm as he took his defending position as two House Krellos Scout's charged at him, they went both for the flanks.. Vornac tumbled under the first slash before setting his blade deep into the scout's back, he fell right on the ground - but not dead. The second jogged around Vornac before setting in a attack, he charged right on. Vornac walked back while slashing at the scout, he got a hit cutting of the scout's arm before slashing up his chest.. The blood spilled out in Vornac face, he turned against one that charged of at Vealon...
"Look out!" Vornac yelled to Vealon, Vealon hadn't his weapon ready so he dodged the blow by leaping to the side before sending of a dagger flying into the neck of the scout...

Vealon ran qver to Vornac with his daggers in hand, and He says, "thanks back there, I owe you one" as they start to approch the remaining scouts...

Two of the four Scout's charged against Vealon and Vornac, the first one leapt in with his short sword and dagger. Vornac blocked his first strike with his blade, before hitting him in the face with his left hand. Vornac swinged his sword around in his hand waiting for the scout to attack, the scout went in, a few feet from Vornac he threw his dagger straight at Vornac, Vornac deflected it easily of his blade before going in hard, it only came a flash from Vornac's gleaming blade and a head rolling down the street..
Vealon had no problem dodging the Scout's blow before poking the Scout in the eye with a arrow. He threw himself back holding at his face, he gave Vealon room to shoot of two arrows right into his chest.. He fell straight to the ground.. The two other's charged against Wayn and Aki..
(OOC: I know a very realistic way how Channler and Davion can find us. As I said in my post, the false Duke has sent out rumours of our party as outlaws.. And Channler and Davion knows its us after the discription and find out we were last seen in Maar Gan... Woo I'm smart
)
Aki smirked. "Fool," he said to his opponent, before stepping calmly to the side of his foe's strike. Aki swung his Scimitar, stepping to the side of the Dunmer. The mer collapsed, bleeding profusely from the backs of his knees, both hamstrings cut. Rendering his legs all but useless. A simple downward thrust finished the scout off, the blade driving through his heart.
Wayn, however, never had to hit his target. The scout was strike by several arrows fired by the Bosmeri fighter's guild apprentice, all hitting in the arms or the legs, and the female Redguard used her weapons, a mace, to make a mush out of the mer's face.
"She killed 'im, i don't have to eat im, whoo!" The Bosmer exclaimed.

Channler
May 3 2005, 09:34 PM
They were standing there both by the window, staring out into the placid blue waters of the (?) Inner Sea.
"Davion? Do you think the others forgot about us?" Channler asked staring into the comforting nothingness.
"Possibly, but perhaps we will not know. After our failed attempted on the island we were so split up.. I fear for our situation." Davion replied monotone.
"You say that as though they have just givin' up!" Channler hissed unable to think of such an idea, "Do you not care for the people of Vvardenfell's fate? We needn't not stay here, the Valpyres could be attacking anywhere!" He said with earnest.
Channler turned and walked to the door, and was stopped by a few words that passed from Davion's mouth,
"Channler.. I am dieing, this body of mine is slowly fading into oblivion. I cannot carry on much longer, all my hopes, dreams, aspirations are fading. I haven't the will to go on and fight a fight that I do not have to participate in." An uncomfortable silence fills the now dreary room. "Every second I exist, I feel more of me leaving yearning (SP) for a place to rest and end the torment forever. But alas I also have a side of me that wishes to continue and fight the good fight, but I lack the strength to do so...
Davion stepped towards Channler, his feet felt heavy, almost as though they had decided to seize being part of this old warrior. He put his hands on Channler's shoulder's,
"You mu-ss-t.." Suddenly Davion stood there gasping for breath. His body began to have convulsions. Channler grasped Davion's shaking body to keep it from droping to the floor.
"Davion! Davion!" Channler screamed as he laid the shaking body on the soft bed. Davion's body started resuming its normal functions, but his life signs were fading, "Hang in there buddy.." Channler whispered as he was trying to perform every single last life saving spell from hearth heal to using his hands and pounding on his chest. Nothing would work, Davion would die..
Channler had a flashback
"Davion? You said your body is fading away, or something like that right? Well what exactly am I supposed to do to help you here? I know there has to be a way to rid this.. thing from you.."
"I . . I don't know. What I do know is every time i use my energy attacks it drains my life away incredibly fast."
"I was thinking, when I die, soul trap me. When my body disappears I cant get back control of it because it will no longer exist, so I was thinking when I’m dead and you have my soul, put my soul in your body as well. You know, combine our spirits kinda? Make one ultimate fighter"
“Soul trap…” Channler muttered to himself, realizing that he bought a soul gem of very odd quality’s for this occasion. It pained him when he bought it.. And now it pained him when he needed to use it in this most desperate hour.
*His hands were shaking as he caressed the gem in his scarred hands, praying that Davion just might come through without it, but when it proved that Davion was near the point of no return Channler decided that there was not another choice. Saying the words that he forced himself to remember a bright light appeared from the gem. The light was so bright it forced him to turn his head and shield his eyes. The light seemed to be of an odd property for it “entered” everything. It found its way into nooks and cranny’s that a normal torch couldn’t even attempt to fill. Then it was over.
Channler stood over his friends limp body, so much friendship in such a little time, and yet not a tear could come to him. He solemnly walked out of the room and shut the door as if someone was sleeping. Oddly enough there was no one to witness the events that had just happened, which was in good fortune for Channler. He took his few belongings, many of which that had been given to him by Davion, and walked down the stairs to the inn keeper.
“Good sir? When you go up stairs you will find the body of my friend.. Take this, “Channler handed the inn keeper a large pouch of coins, “Give him a funeral worthy of a great being, for he saw me through life, and I saw him through death..” The inn keeper was to pre-occupied with the cash to worry about the fact that there was a dead body in his inn, it was disgusting.
As Channler turned to walk out the door a single tear ran down his face.
(*) Being that Davion has come back from the dead wouldn't soul trapping work on him?

Channler was un aware of what happened to Davion.. whether the Inn Keeper did as he was asked, or just dumped Davion's lifeless body into the ocean.
On the way out of Ebonharthart he caught wind of a little shred of information regaurding the other adventurers existance. It blew his mind how long they had been seperated for, and now at least of them were dead. Channler swore to himself that he would avenge Davion's passing.
The information he obtained sent him up north to check the small coastal villages and ports along the way. The journey took him several day's even on stilt rider but he managed to reach a few fishing huts strewn together to give the sloopy impression of a village.
He noticed two men standing on the dock, whispering into one anothers ear. Channler snuck up under the planks.
"Ok then, 210 septims and you will tell me where those filthy adventurers were heading you swine!" furiously whispered the shadest of the shady figures. Channler believed him to be an assasin of the sort.
"Look I doin' want na trouble! Meh family needs the money to live!" Pleaded the slime covered man.
"I don't give a damn about your family and its livelyhood, just give me the information or you WILL die here!" The assasin said in an increasingly threatening yet controlled voice.
The fishermen of the sort slowly replied, "..They.. are... heading to Solostheim" He said with a downcast face that looked of defeat. The money was handed to him and the assasin used a spell of some sort to recall to wherever.
Of what little Channler knew of Morrowind, much less Vvardenfell, he knew that the only way to Solostheim was either swimming or taking a boat through Khull, he preferred the later.
Channler went on his way to Khull and eventually Solostheim. He was a full day behing the adventures.

Davion struggled for what seemed like an eternity in that soul gem, just trying to get the slightest message out to Channler, but time and time again his attempts failed.
"Damnit! I need to figure out a way to tell Channler to find him a suitable body or something!" Davion yelled, but no one could hear him for he was trapped in the soul gem.
Davion noticed that the soul gem was different . . . it was . . special some how.
Davion had sat around for a while, studding the soul gem and how it acts and finally it hit him!
"That's it! Everytime this soul gem that i am stuck in glows, i can hear the sounds from the outside world! If i time it right, maybe i can escape the gem long enough to say something to Channler!"
Davion waited, anciously, then finally he found his opening and lunged for it! Davion knew he only had a 30 second window to talk to Channler, so he would have to make it quick!
Davion's spirit moved out of the soul gem and appeared in front of Channler. Channler couldn't believe what he was seeing! Then Davion spoke,
"Channler! This is Davion! I don't have much time so i'll make this quick! When you rejoin with the others on that icey contenant, i forgot what it was called. When you get there, find me a suitable body to transfer into! And Channler . . . . . . Pick a good looking one, I don't want my chances of getting some ruined by some stupid looking nord!"

"Whaa?!.." Utterly confused Channler replied, "It worked!! Thank the god's Davion, it worked!"
"Hehe, yea about that suitable body thing.. Sorry about your.. Old body? You were about to die and I feared for your soul." Channler saw the urgency on Davion's ghastly face, "I believe that it might take a while to find a "suitable" canidate for you, and I'm sure he won't be the same.. "Damn, well it's nice to know he's still there" Channler smiled for the first time in a while, it felt ackward, like a sign of hope in this dreary world. He put the soul gem in his pocket and looked over the starboard side of the boat. Some one patted him on the shoulder. Channler grappled the hilt of his sword.
"Whoa now! Don't want no trouble" Channler turned around to confront the stranger.
"Juillen?! Juillen is that you?!" Channler probed.
"Yes it is my old friend.. I have been looking for you." Juillen Desele replied, "It has been a long time, how many years? 8?"
"Yes, about that long" Channler got up and kept his back to the ocean, cautious as to ask why he was looking for him, "Tell me my friend, why were you looking for me?" Channler asked, showing off his distrust of Juillen.
Juillen looked distraut(SP), "You do not trust me? Channler, I have searched for you since you fled your home. You and me were brothers, destined to be great, together! What has happened to our kinship since then? Have you let your fears rule you, if so you are no greater then that of your accusers.."
"No Juillen, I remeber the oath of brotherhood we took in the Imperial Academy" Channler said as he was staring at the floor boards of the boat, "It.. has been trying times, my friend. One day I hope to return to my home, and clear my name. Maybe this quest that I'm on will do that."
"You speak of the Valpyre? Let me inform you that the Empire is taking steps to "control" them. You need not worry about this quest, if you come with me I can clear your name. You see, I have amassed quite alot of power back in Cyrodil." He said with the same rougish smile that he and Channler had invented.
Channler looked ahead towards the growing coastline that he guessed was Solostheim, "I..I can't go back yet, even if the Valpyres are defeated. Maybe I should stay in hiding for a while longer." Channler walked over to the captain careful still to keep his front facing Juillen, "Sir, how long untill we reach Solostheim?"
The Aragonian captain, Dance's-with-fishes*, answered, "About nightfall and we shall reach our destination."
Channler walked back to his seat. Aragonians give him the creeps, people coming from soul gems give him the creeps, and friends with alterior motives creeps him out to. He thought to himself,
"I hope Solostheim doesn't give me the creeps" already the hair on the back of his neck was standing up.
*Was that an ok name?
The adventurers were taken to Solstheim. Little did they know that Channler would join them soon. But they were followed not only by a friend, Channler, but by enemies as well.
Once in Solstheim, Noldyne asked her new friends the following:
"What now?"
"We get a boat to Skyrim of course," Aki answered. He stepped off the boat onto the Ship's docks, followed by Wayn and the two Fighter's guild apprenticers. The Bosmeri apprentice was shivering more out of nervousness than cold.
"Now, if i know anything, the Skaal would be the people to get a boat from. Nords are renowned sailors. Even the Skaal will still have some of that in their ancestry. Failing that, we find a rwreck and fix it up."

"Aye" Vornac said joking as he looked on Aki... "Lets leave for Skyrim, lets not give those scums any chance to come up there before us.." Vornac said looking around as he was thinking on something..
"Think they will come...? Channler and Davion?" Vornac said in a sudden emotion change...

"The Skaal? Do they even have good boats? Here at the Fort there don't appear to be any boats that go to Skyrim, but there must be at least one in Raven Rock."

"I was kinda hoping to avoid....imperial entanglements...." Aki protested, before conceeding. "Fine, we'll go to Raven Rock and take their boat."

"Raven rock? why there? Do you even think that the Empire even cares about thje Nord's homeland? If Raven Rock doesn't have one, which I highly dought (sp), then we will go to the Skall and ask thier cheiften. I also have heard of a small Nord place called Thirsk east of the lake with a boat Captain residing there. We could also ask around there."

"They use boats to transport the Ebony, as the seas of Soltheim are safer than the forests. That, and they'd have to import horses if they were hauling it across land," Aki said.

Vealon was disapionted when fased by the truth. "Ok you can go run over to raven rock and take you ship there with an Imperial that desn't know his way. I'll go to Thirsk and then on to Skall and see if anyone there knows the way. I'll go to raven rock as a last resort." and with that Vealon trugged off through the snow twards Thirsk.

"Noo..." Vornac demanded as he looked at Vealon.. "We stick together, lets do what we came here for and that is to get the artifact - Channler and Davion can wait, they dont know what is on risk by going after them but they will understand if they still live..."
Vornac walked up to Vealon..
"Lets stick together..." he said before walking by the shore against Raven Rock. "Keep your eyes open, for all I have heard its enough creature's here to feed a entire army by walking one day" Vornac said as he took up his bow and took his cloak over him to protect him from the cold and the snow...

Vealon shivered, be it from the cold or the reminder of all the rumors, he didn't know. "Ok fine" Vealon said reluctantly, "I'll go, but ONLY because my wallet is almost empty and I heard Raven Rock is a rich ebony mining town." and then he himself put on his cloak and readied his bow for anything that might happen.

As they stepped off of the boat, Vealon looked around "wow" he thought, "It looks better then I imagined it to be." He turned to Aki and the others, "Sorry for douting you, but for now lets all go over to the inn and have a rest and decide our next move. wa da ya say?" Vealon watched them hoping to get a yes so he can finnaly sleep in a bed and relax for more than one second.

Once on the icey continent Davion was occaionally able to peer out into the real world, and outside of the acursed soul gem.
About an hour searching, Davion found a suitable canidate. He looked about Channlers age, but with the physical build of his old body. Davion screamed at Channler when his window was open to transfer his soul into that mans body.
Davion waited as Channler made his move....
