Arthur opened his eyes and glanced around as best he could without moving his head, and was taken aback.
"What in the world?" he mumbled feebly as he attempted to sit up, and let out a shout at the sudden startling pain in his chest. Not only that, but his vision was blurred, and he couldn't see what was causing the racket.
"Oh god . . .I'm gonna die."

"Lie back down. Act dead or something." he said, putting a hand on the man's chest to sit him back down. Rann laid down on the floor behind the bed so that he couldn't be seen from the doorway.
The guns shots were being heard from further down the hall now.
"Listen, have you seen a big guy with a crew cut and a machine gun around here?" he asked, looking for Syke.

"I haven't seen anything as of late, seeing as how I've been sleeping on and off for the past while . ." Arthur said as he kept still and tried to quiet his breathing.

"Alright, long story short; we're all about to die, but I'm gonna try and save us anyway. Even though you cheated me and my brother, and probably started this whole ordeal." Rann patted the man on the shoulder.
"Be right back." he said, loading a magazine into his pistol as he headed down the hall to help his brother.
He found himself facing three men squatting behind some crates. Seeing as they weren't HDF, Station Security, or his brother, he figured that he could fire.
He didn't want to kill them, but he figured he would rather give them an instant death rather than that of suffocation.

"Me? selfish? Are you aware of what you´re sayingf? I just want to have my brothers back..both of them! Rann found his brother lying in a pool of his own blood, shot twice in the torso.
"Come on, I'll carry you back." Rann said, trying his best to sling his much larger brother over his shoulder.
"No." Syke replied faintly. "Think for a second; you couldn't carry me unless you dragged me, and then you would never make it back to the ship in time."
"Then we'll both die trying." Rann replied.
"And Satyana too?" Syke pressed. "She isn't going to leave without us, and if you tell her I'm dead, then she'll leave with you."
Rann nodded; there was an unspoken agreement to protect their sister no matter what. "Later, Syke." he said, running off down the hall, back towards the infirmary.
He grabbed the box full of spare eyes, and looked at this arthur character. "You're damn lucky you're in a cart." he said, considering going back for Syke with the cart; then he could carry him! Butt here wasn't time; less than five minutes before they ran out of air. He pushed the cart as fast as he could back towards the hangar.

"Rann!!! where´s Syke?....he ok? Take one of these, it´ll keep you alive for at least 15 minutes if you use it wisely"
She tossed one of the oxygen-masks at Rann and continued her way into the station, she had no intention of getting back to the ship unless both the boys were safe. The promise she made to their dying mother was to by all means take care of her little brothers......and she was surely going to do that.
Apparently Syke was still somewhere inside the dying station....and she was determined to find him....he was probably hurt and needed her help.....
Rann was shouting something behind her..but this time she did not listen.....her focus was on finding Syke.....somehow she was sure that Rann was making it on his own...that boy was unique..always getting away with things and always coming down on his feet....like an alleycat......
Satyana was running as fast as she could, using a special tecnique for breathing that allowed her to use half the oxygen she would have...normally!

"OH NOOOO SYKE!!!!!" Satyana´s screaming echoed through the corridor, she flung herself on Syke´s lifeless body, getting herself wet from his blood.......she cried and yelled in utmost pain......then lost consciousness, still holding him tightly in her arms
The oxygen-level of the station had now reached it´s alarm-level........

Although she was completely devastated by Syke´s death, she was experienced enough to compose herself...She realised she couldn´t take Syke´s corpse with her back to the ship....it was far too heavy.....and if they didn´t get a move on immediately...both Rann and herself would die out here.....so she rose to her feet, her face distorted with sorrow and......hate , turned to Rann..

Ed had started the ship up as Rann left to go get his sister. he now stood by the door, waiting for them to come back. He couldn't keep it open much longer as pressure and oxygen would reach beyond critical level soon.
"Come on hurry up," he said as he clanced at teh timer on the ship. two minutes and counting.

Kiva ran into the Hanger, covered in blood, which for the most part, wasn't his, his face was red with exersion, and his hair dishevled. He slowed as he moved towards his ship, feeling lightheaded. he popped the cockpit of the Edge and hopped in, sighing in relief once the cockpit closed again and he heard the reassuring hiss of it sealing. Kiva played with the comlink a bit, getting a line to the other ship in the hanger.
"Alright, whoever you are, you best get out of here, and fast. I can cover you guys if you need it, and you will. Anyone insane enough to attack a Research Center will hit anything trying to get off," he said. Kiva started the Edge's engines, checking over all the systems again. All showed green.
"Just tell me when your leaving. I'll go first and draw their fire."

He braced himself for takeoff from the station, hoping that a chance to escape would soon present itself, though he knew he was in no condition to even walk as of yet.

The arrow-head shaped fighter craft zipped past Rann's ship, zipping towards the enemy ships. He fired after severals bursts on a nearby fighter before flying by the slower craft and nimbly dodged oncoming enemy fire as the attacking ship's attention were drawn to the small, speedy craft.

Satyana was lying on a bed in Rann´s ship, totally unaware of the surroundings, she did not recognise where she was, how she got there or even.....who she was!!!
OOC: Satyana has goy into a catatonic state....maybe from lack of oxygen combined with the shock of Syke´s death. She completely lost connection with the world, she remembers absolutely nothing.....she doesn´t recognise Rann, Ed, Lily or even Arthur....and she has no idea of who she is or what her name is.

"No, I can't keep up, its too fast. Pull back and alert headquarters, I'm going to record its info." The pilot used his Comp to check the status of the ship, but the computer on the other end denied him access.
"Hes got his info locked, I'll just snap a picture of the ship."
"All right EC-07, you do that, then pull back. We have to fry the station."
Three fighters sped after the smaller fleet, and attempted to tail it.

“Miss, the research station has successfully been destroyed, but we have some bad news as well.”
The commander, in her neat officers uniform, turned to look puzzlingly at the Communications Officer.
“Well, then out with it, hurry.”
“We’ve lost thirty men in the battle that took place before the research station’s destruction, and we suspect one of our chief officers, Arthur Minskaya, has died in the bombardment.”
The commander looked grim now, and she sighed. “Well, you know the routine. Just go and fetch me the list of officers, so I can pick one to fill in his place. It seems like people are dying left and right nowadays.”
The Communications Officer cleared his throat, and the commander raised an eyebrow, staring at him incredulously.
“What?”
“Well miss, when you pick an officer to fill his place, there will be a batch of soldiers without a commander, and you have plenty of communications officers already, I was wondering if I could fill in for the officer that is appointed as Commander of Earths North American Branch.”
“Your name?”
“Elliot, miss, Elliot Nelson, Communications Officer, Head of Decoding.”
“Aren’t you a bit young to hold that post?”
“Well Miss, I can get letters of recommendation for you if you have any doubts about my abilities.”
“That won’t be necessary Elliot, I will consider your request. You are dismissed, now go fetch that officers list.”

Satyana watched Rann and Ed with curiosity, she felt ok..just that she did not remember anything after she found herself in the ship, lying on that couch.....
"Hey guys....I´m starving, would it be possible to get something to eat?"
She tried a faint smile....

"I don't think there is much we can do rann, except let it run it's course, something will snap her out of it. I don't think we can force her to remember anything."

If he wasn't so worried about his sister, he would have laughed at Ed talking to Satyana like a little girl.

This wasn't making anything easier. His brother just died, and the only person he could really look to for comfort thought that she was fifteen years in the past.

"Damn it," he added slightly irrate, he scooped Satyana off the floor. things had not gone quite as expected, shock yes. but flinging oneself down at the ground.... not expected. grabbing some nearby paper towel(they do still have this right) he started cleaning up the wound. it wasn't to serious. but was a bit deep, eough to require some stiching.
