"Good day to you Florodine....I´m fine thank you, none of you got hurt so I guess everything is under control now. So the alliance you said..well I could introduce you to Serjo Athyn Sarethi and Master Raavin.....I guess...if they could find time ..if now that is your wish"

"Yes i would indeed like to talk to either of them. I know Sarethi somewhat, but i've only met him once or twice. As for raavin i have not met him though i have heard of him. Where are they at the moment?" he said kindly

Serene, on the wall

"Hmm...if I knew that I´d be more than happy" Serene looked at Florodine sadly...

"I could try to get in contact with Serjo Athyn through telepathy..though....!"

Megil-HOJ

Megil watched from the balcony atop the hall of justice as the battle came to an end. Focusing for a second his eyes glimmering a brighter blue than normal, several jets of water burst from foutnains and the like in the city, arching high in the sky before crashing back down on the fires throughout the city. The water quickly quenched the flames and carried the soot of the buildings, flowing over the streets and into channels the water flowed out of the city. Megil then went downstairs and headed for the gates to greet the aiding armies.

Arriving shortly at the Gates, Megil, decked still in his armor, and a platoon of Guards glanced up to see Florodine and serene on the wall. Megil made his way up the stairs and approached the two. He bowed,

"I thank you for coming t Vivec's aid. we are in your debt." he said primarily to Florodine.

"I greet you Lord Megil, it´s an honour to meet you, you have done so much for me and my family, we are very grateful to you" Serene bowed her head....

"Maybe you know where to find Serjo Athyn Sarethi and Archmaster Raavin?" she continued politely

Stauros->battlefield, New Vivec

Saturos finnaly got loose and made his way to the city were he saw Florodine, Serene, and Megil on the wall. Stauros walked thought the gate and wrapped a shirt around his arm wanting the blood to stop.

"Someone´s coming.....and it looks as if he could do with a healer!"

Serene made an apologizing gesture to Megil and Florodine and started walk towards Stauros......

Raxle O'Conner
New Vivec

Raxle heard someone shout in his general direction and spun on a heel, almost throwing himself off balance.

"Yea, can I help you?" He took no obvious steps to improve his decor, other then brushing off the dried goblin blood on his cheek.

Stauros glanced up and saw Serene rushing tward him. "Ah long time no see Serene." He said with a smile.

"It was nothing Megil, we came to your aid, like we promised we would. Though now i feel that alarm system could be useful for my city" he said with a laugh. "Now what will your next command be for your people? I am quite interested in what has happened. The army is gone, though as far as i can tell it was just a HUUGE group of orcs and goblins, that had some how gained one chief. Though i don't thing that is likely"

Miles took it upon himself to enlighten the group . . .sort of.

"Actually, goblins aren't as stupid as most take them to be. Sure, they're so incompetent that you'll probably never find a literate one, but that does not taint their chances of establishing an organized society. Goblins would only have managed to sucessfully organize such a massive force two ways, bribes or fear." Miles paused, and took a deep breath.

"Hopefully it was not through bribery, because that means they have something to fall back on. The kind of funds it would take to organize such a force are surely massive in number," Miles looked at Megil, "Lord whatever your name is, I suggest you build a much better defense against invaders, if it weren't for the aid you received from Florodine here, your city might have been overrun."

Miles continued with his talk on goblins.

"The other alternative, the one that takes relatively little funding, is fear. Either fear of this city's power . . or they might have been forced to fight through threats and such. I haven't heard of there ever being such an organized battle between goblins and the intelligent races before. This obvious signals something, I would prepare yourself for a possible second strike if I were you."

Miles finished his lecture and asked, "Say, is there anywhere I might obtain some new, clean clothes from."

Raxle looked over Sel's shoulder for a moment, and called out to the imperial that had been ranting on, "Actually I do believe this was the second strike.."

He then reverted his attention back to Sel.

Miles, New Vivec

Miles looked down at Raxle.

"If so, then even more reason for his whatever here to strengthen the cities defenses. What in the world has he been doing after the first strike?"

"So the goblins are probably preparing for a third, was the second wave stronger than the first?"

(OOC: Raxle could hear from where he and Sel were standing below?)

OOC: We'll just say Raxle and Sel walked to the wall..or something

Sel, New Vivec

"Any idea who's behind this attack?" Sel asked Raxle, ignoring Miles. Being ignored by Sel ran in the family apparently. He assumed Raxle to be a part of Falx's New Empire, which he didn't disapprove of. While he hated the Empire, he thought highly of Falx and thought that he could make things better.

Raxle rubbed his chin a bit while he thought, "Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I mean, it wouldn't make sense for goblins, alone, to attack New Vivec. I mean, didn't you see those.. other things? Not sure what you'd describe as other then shadows. My best guess is that those.. things are behind this, and if I'm not mistaken Lord Megil has had contact with at least one of them creatures."

"Oh, by the way, the names Lieutenant O'Conner, but please forget the formalities, Raxle will do."

Sel, New Vivec

Sel sheathed his sword.

"Hmm...didn't see any of those." he said thoughtfully before finally replying to Raxle's introduction. "Sel." he replied, holding out his hand.

Sel liked this man; he was obviously not the typical saluting and barking officer.

Miles, New Vivec

My guess is . . you're probably insane. Though anything is possible at the moment . . .if goblins just attacked New Vivec as an organized force.

"Megil, so thats his name," Miles muttered, immediately discarding the title of lord.

"So, Megil" he said turning back towards Megil and holding out a hand, "The name's Miles. I hail form Cyrodiil."

Serene,New Vivec walls

"Otik?" Serene smiled....."That was not yesteday....how are you? She then heard Miles ask about clothes and turned to him:

"Miles....Our manor is just nearby, why don´t you go there and ask the maid to give you some clean clothes, tell her I sent you"

"Jeezers, the boy has done a great job, he really need some encouragement, and I don´t think he will mess up because he knows what happens if he does so,,,,"

Megil-Wall, vivec

Megil eyed Miles for a few seconds seeing a cetain resemblance in him to someone in Megil's past. He couldn't put his finger on it yet, but someting about the boy left him uneasy.

"Ncie to meet you Miles," he said before turning back to the discussion at hand,

"This is indeed the second strike, and who know when a third will occur or for that matter why they occur. Only one moldair was struck down in the battle so there are plenty more making it most likely that they will return.

But the enemy is rash and hasty, the have yet to show true organization, thus they have failed to enter the city. But even a well organized army would run into trouble entering the city."

Otik->Vivec walls

"Yes its me. I'm in a little pain but nothin serious. How are you?"

Raxle took Sel's hand and shook it, then let his attention drift up to where Megil was speaking...



"But, while our defences are strong, are people are not numberles. These attacks prove that the enemy isn't cautious on using these creatures as cannon fodder, and it chills me to think how many more there are on reserve."

Serene, new vivec walls

"Oh yes....hmm let me have a look at your arm then"

She took his arm and tore the bloodied sleeve aside. It was a nasty cut, not very deep but long and there ere some substance in the wound which made it bleed excessively.....not good at all...

Serene asked Otik to sit down, she sat down in front of him, put his bleeding arm in her lap, closed the cut with her hands and held tight while she whispered an incantation....focused on the wound.....

After a while, the heat that emerged from her hands slowly made the cut to close up. It was a slow process, but it went on until the cut was closed, the only thing that remained was a red line, like a scar.

Then she took out a potion....

"Here, drink this and the effect of that mysterious substance will fade away"


She smiled encouragingly at Otik......

Otik->Vivec Walls

Otik looked at the potion and drank it. "Thank you very much, now do you know what that substance was?" He said standing up

Megil-Wall, Vivec

Megil smirked,

"Though your concern is understood Raxle. I can assure you that lives are not easily spent by me. But you must trust me in how I defend the city. This attack will only help to falsely boost the confidence of the enemy. They think the city weakly defended, yet the have not even faced a tenth of my troops in battle."

New Vivec

"Well... I suppose thats good. Now, if you will excuse me me'lord, I must go report to Captain Albarnias. He's not doing quite well at the moment, I think possibly because of that assasination attempted on him not to far back, so I don't think sparring any information from him will do good for his health. You know how he is."

Raxle dipped his head to everyone, "Pleasure to meet you all, I do hope our paths cross in the future, whether that be on the battlfield or not."

Falx's time would soon be up, Raxle presumed. He wondered who would take over after the power vacuum would end.

Megil-Wall, Vivec

Megil nodded tas Raxle turned to leave, then said,

"Tell him that I wish him the best, and should he need anything to not hesitate in askin for it,"

So, you view lives as a resource eh . . I suppose it doesn't matter to you. How I hatepower hungry autocrats . . .

Miles went about to find Serene's manor, which he located quite easily. He knocked on the manors front door.

Sel, New vivec

"There was an assassination attempt on Falx?" Sel asked, turning to catch up with the leaving Raxle.

Isaarin, New vivec

"Find Dalrus or Stauros for me." he said to a servant, holding out two letters of invitation to his Manor in the city. "I hear that they are in town."

The notes read:

Please join me in my manor in New Vivec at your convenience. We have much to discuss.

As the servant bowed and left, Isaarin pulled out a map and drew a few small plans; nothing drastic, of course, there was nothing to plan for. Yet.

Megil-New Vivec

It is better to loose lives in defense than to let a city be slaughtered. My duty is to
look out for the greater good with as small a sacrifice as possible. Though I would never expect one such as you to think as such. he thought to Miles as he left.

Serene, new vivec

"Ehh..noo but I´ve seen it before..it prevent the blood from coagulating the normal way..it´s also used to kill rats with, but you´ll be ok now, i suppose" She smiled friendly at Otik.

In the corner of her eye she noticed Miles approaching her manor......

"Hallo there!!! where do you think you´re going??"

Miles, New Vivec, Outside Serene's Manor

Miles stood thinking about what Megil had "said", but it still didn't seem right to him. War was a failure of diplomacy, the diplomats were always to blame, and with a government that had one direct ruler who took top priority, the blame should be reasonably placed upon that ruler. Megil had stated that it was his duty. . .

The thing that puzzled him most was the fact that somehow Megil had read his thoughts, which made him wary of the man. He had heard of such powers before, but had never found out much about them.

Miles heard the ordinator and spun to face him.

"I was . .er. . just . . ." Miles couldn't come up with a reasonable explanation that wouldn't sound silly.

"I was going to get a clean pair of clothes." He told the guard hesitantly.

Otik->New Vivec

"heh, kills rats?" Otik saw Serene notice Miles at her house. "Uh who's he?" Otik said nodding over to Miles

Random ordinator by Serene´s manor

"Clothes??? why would Lady Serene and Master Jonacin give YOU some clothes?....well have to ask the housekeeper then....."

He went inside for a while......then he returned and asked Miles to step inside

"Go talk to Miss Satyana, the housekeeper, she´ll be in the hallway" The Ordinator shook his head and muttered something like "you n´wah"

"Oh him...it´s Miles.....Niran´s brother......you do remember Niran don´t you?" Serene smiled ....

"Niran, yeah I remember Niran. I do recall an accident between him and Megil. So how are you and Jonacin coming along?"

Miles, New Vivec, The Manor


Miles glanced angrily at the ordinator "Everyone is so friendly around here aren't they," Miles "asked" with a glare.

He stepped inside and looked around, glancing at his surroundings for several seconds.

Serene,vivec

"Yes that accident.....hmm don´t like to think about it thouigh...Oh Jonacin and I are married....and we have a little daughter.....Selena, called Leni she´s four!"

Serene smiled when taking about her daughter......


"Oh my...Leni is in the house....and that brother of Niran is in there....I hope he´s not gonna harm her"

Miles hesitantly approached Satyana.

"Miss Satyana?"

Otik saw the look on Serene's face, "Would she mind a visitor? I'd love to see her."

Raxle O'Conner
New Vivec

"Aye" Raxle responded in mid-step, "It happen a little while back, back before you came to the inn. However, I'm not to sure how it happened.. I do know, from reading the reports of the ordinators, that at the end of the assasination attempted the Captain pretty much blew a chunk out of New Vivec square. The man still got away though."

"Anyways, its my guess that whatever "special power" that he used was in some way connected to his dealings with Arkyact, and in the end, it hurt him more then he expected.."

Sel, New Vivec

"What the hell are you talking about? Dealings with Arcyakt?" Sel asked, a little confused. Wasn't Falx helping them get rid of Arcyakt the whole time?

Megil-Vivec

overhearing Raxle ans Sel Megil intruded in their conversation,

"That is all in the past. It should not be brought up again, especially not now."

"Ahh, perhaps I've said to much.." Raxle actually seemed a but worried now, and tried to change the subject, "Heh, look at those trees.. Aren't they pretty this time of year?"

Sel, New Vivec

Raxle's attempt to dodge the subject wouldn't have worked anyway, but Megil's made it worse.

"Just tell me what the hell you're talking about." Sel demanded. What the hell was he, a child?

Isaarin's messenger, New Vivec

After searching for a couple long hours, the messenger finally had a lead. He climbed up the wall and smiled as his target came in sight.

"Master Stauros?" he asked tentatively, hoping he wasn't interrupting. "Isa- Grandmaster Isaarin told me to give this to you." he said, producing an envelope sealed with House Hlaalu's insignia.

Akar, On the Road

OOC: thought I'd speed this part of the world along.

"Here, I'll just carry him to New Vivec. Maybe my mother can do something." he said as he picked Dimitre up, feeling rather helpless since he couldn't heal him.

Raxle looked over to Megil, but decided that it was his own doing, and fault, therefor would be his responsibility.

"Sel, come with me. It isn't my story to tell, and I won't, perhaps the Captain will explain it to you..."

He started walking towards the inn, almost hoping Sel wouldn't follow.

Sel, New vivec

Sel did in fact follow, but more because of the fact that Falx was injured than his curiosity over the tale these two seemed to be telling. What was done was done, he decided. He wouldn't even ask Falx about it.

"He doesn't need to tell me anything, but I will come along." Sel replied. "The trees are nice though." he added with a laugh.

Stauros (a.k.a. Otik)->New Vivec

Stauros jumped as he turned to the messanger and took the letter. "Ah no not interupting, just catching up with a friend. Thank you." Stauros opened up the letter and scaned it.

"Ah yes well tell him that i'll see him within a day or two. I want ot check my manor here and settle down before I get to buissness, I'm sure he'll understand."

Miss Satyana, housekeeper, S&J manor

"Yes, it´s me, I heard you were going to get some clean clothes..well follow me then"

Miss Satyana was an impressive Altmer with iron-grey hair and a stern look in her face. The reason she knew of Miles´problem was that there was a telepathic connection between her and Serene.

Miss Satyana went to the main wardrobe and took out a pair of trousers, a brown shirt and an old but very nice cloak

"Will these do Master Miles?" she asked


Serene, vivec

She laughed, and said:
"Problem is she loves visitors a bit too much......but you are welcome to meet her...oh and where Jonacin is right now..i hve no idea, I guess he´s with Lord Megil!"



Dahleena, on the road

"Oh...well that´s a good idea.....you are a smart guy Akar....always have a solution to everything"

Dahleena was satisfied that they were on the trail again....she was also pretty curious to see the famous Serene......there were a bunch of stories about her, and her companions back in Suran......she tried to remember the names of those so called heroes

"Serene....Jonacin....and..and Sel-something....and of course King Megil....."

Otik->New Vivec

"Ah so she isn't shy?" Otik laughed, "Oh yes I wanted to talk to you about some Great house affairs. You might recall a messanger coming by a day or two ago, by the name of Delfran?"

Miles nodded appreciatively.

How did you hear?

"Yes," he stammered, "Those will do, anything at the moment, will do. As long as it isn't stained with blood." He grinned.

"Have you been in here the whole time, if so, you've missed quite a battle."

Dalrus, New Vivec



Dalrus and the cavalry rode across the brige into the city. They were greeted by cheers as well, and they all went to a section of the city where many hlaalu nobles were. Dalrus wanted to talk with the grandmaster and followed along. Her clothes were ripped and bloodied, but her armor was mostly untouched. She came to the section of the city, and quickly bought a room in an expensive hotel, and went to find Stauros so they could go meet Isaarin.

The city was still kinda deserted, as people poured out of the underground hide aways. She was in a section of the city where not many people were at the moment, and felt like she wasn't alone. She saw a shadow of something. Then it vanished, she sprinted ahead, and reached the city wall, where thousands of troups were stationed. She saw who she thought might be the king Megil, from his paintings it looked to be right. She thought if anyone knew where Stauros was it would be him.

"Excuse me, Lord Megil is it?"




Florodine, New Vivec




Florodine had watched the different meetings of many people. He was again pestered by crowds of people who wanted to ask him of his adventures and he ducked behind a bread cart.

"If ya ain't bread or comberry ya don' belong here" said the rough salesmen. "Say i know you! Yer that Florodine arent cha? May i have a signed piece of paper or something?"

Florodine rolled his eyes, and ripped out a piece of a book. He signed it, and headed to the wall where the soldiers wouldn't pester him.
