Heh, I remember downloading that conversation. It's great though, tons of pundits have been saying how horrible it is that the younger generation uses the Daily Show as their source of news. What they fail to realize, though, is that if it weren't for the daily show a lot of these people wouldn't be watching news at all.
I kind of see it as a filter though, like "Keepin' it real, DC style"
Yeah, all the moron news anchors see the Daily Show as terrible a left/right wing attempt at comedy, then they Sexually harrass coworkers and take up about half a day of news with two airheads talking about Blogs, Bloggers and (this one makes me shiver) the Blogosphere. You really got to wonder though, if news organizations such as Fox don't seem reliable and the Daily Show is one of the few places you can find news that matters, what is happening to the media? What is happening to the youth and impressionable? What is happening to North America?
To minque, that was, strange. One of my favourite songs ever, but because internet kittens and photo shop annoy me, I have mixed emotions about it. Wait a second, did I just sound like a flash cartoon critic? Must, stop, criticizing.

I doubt many people are accusing him of being right-wing because
1. He's openly said he voted for John Kerry at the last election.
2. There are no Left-wing pundits. There are hack-pundits, 2 leftwing fakes from CNN, one left wing fake from Fox news, look through television, newspapers, radio... left-wing pundits are increasingly scarce.

I scored in the 90th percentile in all English skills, the 70th percentile in Electric and Scientific Skills and around 60-65 in every other skill (Math, People Skills, etc.)
It's goverment sponsored and created so I think it's at least a bit accurate (considering I had to take a test three class periods long)

A B3?
...Ok.. I think Ima gonna try to xplain our grading system..
A - 100-90% - Best you can do
B - 89-80%
C - 79-70%
D - 69-60%
E - Is unimportant
F - Your a failure. - Worst you can do
Now, passing is usually making about a 70% or above. Grading scale changes with each state.. Mine is actually diff then this, but not a whole lot.
Wolfie
Dec 8 2005, 10:07 PM
Here it's:
A: 85-100%
B: 70-84%
C: 55-69%
D: 40-54%
E: 25-39%
F: 0-24%
A pass is a D or higher here, 40% or higher
The whole A1,A2, B1, B2, B3 thing i can't remeber what the percentages for, so i didn't put them in

Well, its weird really. Toronto (a place I go often) seems like just another city to my, but to many people visiting Canada see it as almost a holy land. Its so new and different to them it really can't be compared to our views on it. I understand what you mean though.
But yeah, if you ever get the chance, visit Canada. Its kind of like visiting twenty diferent countries in one. The landscape, people and language varies so much, from small towns to the rockies to the flat, harvesting lands that seem to go on forever. Also, we have the CN tower, Skydome, the Awesomely awesome parlement building (which no other country has. No country. None at all. None) and the Royal hotel, one of the places downtown where only crack addicts sleep (and a murderer).

There was a tad bit of sarcasim in my post..
I've to many places in the US, and I've even been to Canada and Europe.
Each country has something special. I for one go googly eyed over monuments and old library's because I sorta would like to be a historian. Most of all however I am quite nationalistic. I love my country and I feel proud that others wish to visit it. So I guess I'm a outspoken critic for it.
/end rant
Minque you need to visit a Amish town.. thats really weird..
EDIT: No offense to any canadians that reside on this board but I lost a good deal of respect for Canada in general after I sat behind a car with a liscence plate from Quebec that was so busy looking at the stuff around them that they didn't go through the 2 green lights that flicked on and off in front of them.
But canada is very beautiful.. Cheers to that.

Just curious, but did you just watch the series or did you manage to find the movie,
End of Evangelion, as well? The movie basically replaces the last two episodes, 25 and 26, and offers an alternative ending. Or well, some say that the events in the movie and the last two episodes take place concurrently. Regardless of whether it's a new ending or just the old one from another perspective, it's an interesting watch. Perhaps a bit more depressing than the series itself. That is, if you found NGE to be depressing in the first place.
