i dont think it was a smart move, at least in the U.S. here, cause 2/3 of the money made by stores here is around christmas, and oblivion coming out after that will lose some of the not extreme elder scrolls lover's

OK well u can read that game informer all u want but that doesn't prevent the fact that BETHESDA THEMSELVES have said that it will be delayed till "Early 2005"

And since my game store hasnt gotten enough xbox360s in.. i really dont care any more, its best that now i have no system and no game without having a system with no game

Yes it upsets me that it is delayed but then I look back and think of Morrowind. Its and awesome game but had some small problems in which could have been fixed. Now Oblivion has a very high standing and the devs have to live up to that standing. Pushing it back just means that they are bettering it. I for one will buy it when it comes out regardless and will await that time when every it is. If it is early 2006 or whenevery my collectors edition will be sent at the time of its release. Until then I play other games and run my sites awaiting the release to play an outstanding and possibly the best RPG ever. Also gives me time to finish building my computer.

They never did! They never said it went gold. They said it was near finished and you asumed it was completely finished when they never said anything of the sort.

I kinda expected this... I hear it's late Feburary through to Easter.

Sucks, but I guess it'll be worth it if you've seen the IGN videos, you'd see some of the error's they're dealing with.
They've also decreased loading times by 400% which will be handy if you're used to MW on the Xbox like me.

This whole thing pissed me off. I was expecting to have it in my hands in novemeber but nooooooo!!!! They had to delay it!

Well I guess it is for the best. I heard that it was necessary because of the framerate problems and the horrible bugs. Had they released it in november it might have been unplayable.

To be honest - i'd be pretty peeved if they had released it on time. We all know deadlines are always tight and that being tight means things get screwed up or dumped last-minute. Having the cahones to delay it til early this year means they also have the cahones to keep polishing and tweaking. Probably most of this time will be spent system testing and bug-checking any more recent additions.

Oblivion is not going to be on sale in Australia from February 2, 2006
EB Games is not taking pre-orders for Oblivion on the PC and this is not the date they claim it will be available. They do not also have it available for the Xbox nor will they have it in March, which is when the Xbox 360 is going to be available in Aus.

This is not true? there is not 3 weeks until our dreams shall finally be made real

Xbox360 Tes4:Oblivion for £40 English Pre-Ordered in October!
I heard Oblivion is out March 20th - 31st according to a load of sites with recent Oblivion reviews and I think it was mentioned on Newsletter.

This isn't a speculation, by the way. It was posted on like 10 sites and officially and was hoping to discuss anything different, please don't lock this amazing thread! *pleas for mercy*
