Rann, with Ed

Rann had followed Ed, and he grabbed the card out of Ed's hand before it made it to the smuggler.

"Didn't the government pay for this?" he asked; being a smuggler himself, it was easy to spot such tricks.

"Hey, what are you doing here, I thought I told you to stay back at the lab." surprised that Rann hadmanged to sneak after him.

Rann, Docking

"I think I'm saving your boat." Rann answered coolly.

"The government didn't pay for this?" He asked the smuggler again.

, he looked over at the new men who had just arrived, he was in another room when they had first got there and he needed to introduce himself "Hello there i am Norton, i am admiral of the entire milkyway fleet, and you are?"

(OOC: Whoa! Hold on Florodine, you might have to edit your post. Arthur doesn't plan on just leaving . . ., oh and have you RP'd the part where the F.F.A's ship is destroyed yet, I don't think so. I have to make everything difficult, don't I?)

Arthur, Research Station 413


Arthur followed Norton as they made their way out of the science room looking back towards Satyana with a sneer. He hadn't answered her question before leaving, but as they were nearing the door he jerked away from the huddle of soldiers and flung himself into the nearest shelf of vials, releasing fumes into the air as the shelf fell and broke. Hopefully they were deadly fumes, he couldn't go without furthering his cause and taking a few of the enemy with him.

Kratos
Kratos turned to fire on the escaping man, but he knocked several vials off a shelf on his way out, and fumes began to billow from their shattered remains. "Everybody out of here now!" he yelled, grabbing the woman who had spoken roughly by the arm and draggin her out, trusting Veda nd the other soldiers to take care of themselves

Norton, Research station 413


Norton quickly jumped out of the room gasping for breath "all guards cut off all exits to the lab" he said into his radeo

Outside Mars, Research Center 413 - Sciense Quarters

Seeing that all got out of the room Veda ran out too before joining up with Kratos and the others.

He already had his Magnum Revolver in his left out as some small sparks could be seen from his robotic arm.

"Damn. The energy cells are totally destroyed" Veda added cursing the cybernetics in the now very limb arm. The arm was actually just a fast surgery and what he really needed was new energy cells and some better connection from the cybernetics to his nerves controlling his arm.

"Who is that man?" Veda added turning over to what was more serious then the arm he hated so much...

Avlin Cox- University O' Mars, Delivery Entrance

"Wait, the government's involved in this too?" Avlin scratched his head. Though he liked to consider himself intelligent, this was a bit beyond him.

"Whatever ya say, kid. Most of it ain't going to me but to the...supplier... , and let me tell you, he's not going to like it if he ain't getting money, and I like myself intact."

Edward,Docking station

"well yes,don't they tell you wbo your deliveries ar for?" he said as he stood with his arms crossed.

Avlin Cox - University of Mars

"They did. They didn't say it was the government, though. Hmm... Ah, whatever, just take it off my hands. You're making my head hurt."

Edward, docking station

"That's all I wanted, but before you go I have to inspect the shipment to ensure everything arrived fine. Rann if you wouldn't mind staying here while I take the equipment over there to examine it," pointing to a small booth in the corner of the room.

Edward picked up the crate and carried it to the chamber, he opened it up and began o examine each fragment of rithum, looking for dangerous imperfections, damage, and to ensure that the smugglers had not decided to take a little bit for themselves.

OOC: Bob did you want to have some rithum missing? or are we to assume you are an honest smuggler.....

Avlin Cox- Ye olde Uni O' Mars, Delivery entrance

Avlin and his three comrades shifted nervously.

[ooc: expect as much as he thinks he can get away with to be missing. under the first few layers of rithum is prolably something remotely worthless, such as defunct toasters or Rykar pornography.]

Edward removed the first layer of rithum crystals, after being quite satisfied, the second layer had one damaged crystal but otherwise seemed in good conidtion, and the third layer, edward found not rithum, but junk. piecces of broken bottles, and crumpled up pornography to keep the fragments from shifting around,

"As I figured," edward said quietly before taking the crate with the trash back out to the smugglers,

"What the hell is this? there's 12 rithum samples missing: gold, silver, solid deep red, clear wine, black, solid dark blue, grey, bronze, solid purple, clear, jade, and saphire. " Edward said, listing the missing ones from memory,

"where are they gentlemen?"

"I don't know, ya know anything about that guys?" , Avlin asked his three friends, who all muttered something to the extent of "nope."

"You see? We don't know anything about that, eh. I'm just a delivery boy. You take it up with the supplier, if ya want..."

"The supplier know that we check the packags, in fact they encourage us to inspect teh packages, to avoid the problem of transporter from getting away with the goods, now hand them over,"

Satyana followed Kratos without hesitation, she realised the fumes were nitrous gases and also perhaps chlorine.....she didn´t notice exactly which vials Arthur shoved down

Syke slung his gun over his shoulder and followed his sister for two reasons; one, he wanted to be there if there were any straggling FFA troops willing to start firing, and two, because he wanted to know what was going on.

Rann, Docks

Rann put his right hand on his pistol grip, showing that it was there if anyone tried anything, though he was outgunned three to two.

His two pistols to their three gins, assuming none of them caried two. If He could somehow make it seem as if Ed had a weapon...the laser! but it was back at the lab...

"Listen, we know you're trying to scam us, so just stop acting dumb and give us what was paid for."

OOC: But i don't think she'll be falling for this one, he's half cybernetic, including half his face lol

"So would you explain who the hell that man was, and why he did that when the other guy busted him free?" Kratos said tersely to the woman he had just dragged out of the lab, which was rapidly filling with dense fumes

"Oh thank you ....general Kratos was it?" I have no idea why that man attacked us....unless......."

"Syke??? Are you there? I´d like to ask you something"''

Satyana looked around for her brother..she had a distinct feeling he would bee right behind her..or somewhere near...

"Major, actually. So despite the fact you had him handcuffed on the floor, you have no idea who he was or why he was here?"

"What is it?" Syke was about to ask as he walked up beside Satyana. He stopped though, when the Major started his interrogation.

"That is right Majoir......unless this young man here have something he would tell me? "
She looked at her brother......sternly in his eyes



"Well dear brother of mine...do you by any chance have a good explanation why we were attacked?...AND also what your sweet broter is up to ??"

Syke, Research Station

"He's obviously a radical activist, that's the only reason I can think of. And Rann? He went to the University; he asked me to clear up the financial help with you."

He looked around at all of the military men around him. "The whole college thing would be best discussed later though, right?"

Veda
Outside Mars, Research Center 413 - Science Quarters

"Hmm..." Was all that came out of Veda's mouth when they discussed about the handcuffed man. It was pretty clear he needed to be with the FFA or something.

"Anyway... It wasn't like we had a vision this was going to happend, but we came her for aid" Veda continued, he was eager to get his cybernetics fixed.

"I was wondering if any of you would be able or know someone that can fix my darn cybernetics in my arm here. I got it while in the field and it has been damaged in the energy cells on our recent operation. So I could need to get some work done on it, new energy cells, better connection with the nerves and add some small protective plates and stuff like that inside it... I would really enjoy having some kind of weapon on it, a knife or something that I can take on and off" Veda added as he thought back on when his arm got wounded, that was pretty much the time when he could have needed that knife.

(OOC: I'm serious about a weapon on it... Would be cool... )

Satyana station 413

She looked at Syke, not convinced he was telling her the truth..he was probably covering up for Rann ....as always, but she thought that she would not press him...this time, anyway it was a good thing those brothers really stood up for each other.

"Huh...financial help????, tell me more....."

Avlin Cox - University of Mars Delivery Entrance - Tight Spot

"Well, crap on a stick. I assure you I've got nothing to do with it."

Avlin began sweating. He quickly looked around - if things got messy, he knew Jecq and Chris both carried pistols, and Khalid insisted on walking around with a scimitar. His personal weapon, however, a self-made machinegun, was back at the ship.

Edward-Docking Station

Edward looked at the men before him,

"You're lying, your leg muscles are spasming, your hands are shaky, you avoid looking into my eyes when you speak, and your face is covered in small beads of sweat. So lets stop the facade and return the rithum,"

Rann, Docks

"Ed, stop fooling around with these guys and hit the detonator." Rann said, hoping he would catch on. "If they don't want to give us our Rithum, we don't want to give them passage out." Rann said, nodding towards the ship as if he had actually set a bomb on it.

Rann loved this about smuggling; it was often all about bluffs and wits, not always the number of guns.

They would probably see it as a possible bluff, but would they take the chance?



Syke, Research Station

"Yeah. he got a 590 on his final, or something ridiculous like that." Syke answered. "He got a large scholarship; the school will cover three-quarters of the tuition, and he was wondering if you would pick up the rest."

"When we got under attack, I told him to go so he wouldn't get caught up in it. You know how he gets in these kinds of situations."

Edward-UM dock #7

Edward gave Rann a critical look, as if to suggest that Rann should not have revealed the secret, even though Ed was jsut trying to figure out what Rann wanted him to do. He reached into his pocket and got out his handheld computer, using the stylus he connected with the ships computer and proceeded to break down it's defenses, Edward was sure that Rann was jsut bluffing, but Edward figured that for the bluff to work, something would have to happen. within minutes he was in the mainframe, he pulled up schematics of the ship, and his eyes flitted back and forth trying to see a weakness to explot.... he checked the cargo hold of the ship and inventoy seeing what was in the crates, he also saw the mechanical arm used to lift heavy crates into the ship, he smirked. judging from the contents in some of the containers there could very well be an explosion. He entered in a command to the robotic arm, and a verification request cae up, Edward didn't confirm yet, insted he lowered the handheld computer and looked at the smugglers,

"you heard the kid, we can do this the easy way or the hard way,"

"..." Avlin sighed.

"You're lucky I don't want things to get messy.. OYE! Get the real thing."

His three friends went off into the ship and came back later with more crates, which they dropped off infront of the students. Attempting to drop them onto their toes.

"Happy now?"

"Hmm....very well, I guess I´ll help out then...after all he´s our brother, and I ....feel responsible for him...but I gusee I´ll have to go to UM to check out what he´s studying and how he´s doing...maybe he needs something else...."

Edward avoided getting his feet squashed by the crate, he stoped down and opned them inspacting the contents, the missing rithum samples where enough,

"Thank you gentlemen, hope you ahve a pleasant flight back."

Rann, Docks

"Yep. Thanks." Rann said with a grin.

OOC: What? Rann's insolence paid off? It was suposed to get him in trouble

Syke, Research Station

"I think he's studying in two fields; mechanical something and something else with computers." Syke winced when Satyana said something about going to see Rann at the university; he didn't want his sister around Rann, mostly because he was being hunted. Syke had been planning on leaving her on the station while he ran away somewhere else...

"How long of a visit are you planning?" Syke asked. "I mean, can this place run without you?"

Avlin muttered something and a wicked grin crept onto his face as he and his band of lowlife scum walked back to their ship.

Edward glared as the men left,

he carried both the crates and walked next to Rann back to the lab,

"Do you always look for trouble?"

Satyana turned to Veda, saying:
""Ahhh, ok...I think maybe my brother here would know about cybernetics......or he´ll know of someone reall skilled I´m sure!" She turned to Syke, smiling....



OOC: Oops...so she should not help him? well that can be fixed....I´ll let her account in the bank be ..ehhh currently inaccessible, she won´t be able to help him....just wait!

"Ah well, Sykie....don´t know!.....hmmm you wouldn´t be hiding something from me huh?......and the station could run without me....for a short while!"

Satyana went to her main computer in order to transfer some money to Rann.....but the blinking message on the screen saying: "Access denied!" made her frustrated...

"Damn it.....can´t transfer at the moment...he´ll have to wait......"

Rann, UM

"Do you always do what someone says without question? It was obvious that he was fooling you. It doesn't matter though; we got the rithum, right?"

"Cybernetics? Talk to Ra- Oh, he's' gone." Syke said, forgetting that his brother wasn't around. "your account is down?" he asked, looking over her shoulder.

Edward-Um

Edward let out a small hiss,

"No only when i want to avoid strenous circumstances. I ahve a feeling thats not the last we will see of those men Rann," he said as he entered the lab.

"Now where can we keep rithum in a safe location..... that no one can break into and get," he said surveying the room.

Rann, UM

"So what if we see them again? We'll out-wit them or out-fight them. You can't tell me you didn't have fun back there." Rann smiled to himself. Even if Ed didn't, he sure had fun.

Rann told himself to pay attention; he might need to get his hands on some rithum; such a large shipment, and his own rounds were wearing thin...

Satyana station 413

"Ah..yes! Rann would be the ultimate one!, very sad he isn´t here..but maybe you could go to the UM then? " Satyana said to Veda

"Ang aye Syke....thatr wretched account is down!"

Edward-UM

"fun? you call that fun, hm no i wouldn't say i had fun back there. though it was a bit exciting."

Edward took the samples t the robot at teh back of the lab, where he had fragments of rithum sliced fromt eh main rocks, he threw these into a a small metal case that he placed in his bag,

"so? what shall we do now?" he said as he stiffled a yawn.

Arthur, Research Station 413

The Chlorine vial was nearly empty, and the gasses did not spread far. However, a few breaths of that stuff and Arthur knew it would have been fatal.

He had squirmed his way through the laboratory with his hands bound, looking for chemical warfare uniforms. It was a state of the art laboratory, they were bound to have some. He found a gas mask, and he struggled to put it on. After several seconds he started to feel dizzy, and he just managed to pull it on and switch in it on before falling unconcious.

(OOC: Thought you could get rid of him that easily, did you? Minque decided it had to be something deadly . . . and then the guards lock him in!)

Ezhu-> back at the empire. Finnaly


Ezhu found his way back into the Emperor's hanger and slipped into the emperor's room. Ezhu bowed before speaking

"Sir, I killed the man and" he hefted the bag with all the stuff on the desk "got all the rithum, fake and real, and all his notes. He is also dead, I killed him with a grenade. so even if I did leave any notes behind, they are desemated"

Ezhu smiled a cruel grin waiting for his boss to reply

Veda
Outside Mars, Research Station 413 - Science Quarters

"He's at University of Mars? Well that aint so bad. We're heading there anyway to the War Technology Center so we could pay a visit" Veda replied to Satyana.

All he needed now was to get some hands on some new power cells for his arm, wasn't any good to wander around with a disabled arm.

"Should we stay a little more... or should we head down to Mars?" Veda said moving his eyes over to Kratos as he took his pistol down and placed it on his belt.

Kratos
"Well, there's nothing more we can do here, and I'd sy the ship is resupplied and ready to go, so let's move out"

Rann, UM

Rann shrugged. "I don't know; maybe we could umm...Yeah, I don't know."

He didn't really want to get back to work, but he didn't want to just stand here either...

Syke, RS413

"You should be able to find Rann pretty easily; just ask someone and they should know who he is." Syke said to Veda with a small laugh. Rann seemed to gain a a reputation (usually bad) everywhere he went. He was almost feared on the Station. He was a nice enough kid, but he always seemd to attract danger.

Edward-UM

"Ah, screw it we will resume everything tomorrow,"

he then proceeded to pull out cases from the back storage room to pack eveything up,

"we will take it all back to the dorm, after the ryki i don't trust the lab security,"

Rann, UM

Rann was extremely glad to hear Ed say that, but he hid it well. "I have to get something from the ship, I'll be at the dorm in a little bit."

Rann made his way to his ship and retrieved a few pieces of scrap metal that he deemed appropriate for his next project. No doubt Ed wouldn't like it, but he would appreciate it when he came into some hard times.

He put them pieces in a bag and carried them up to their room.

Veda
Outside Mars, Research Center 413 - Science Quarters

"Okey then, let's move out" Veda replied with a grin to Kratos.

Veda turned over to Syke and Satyana.

"I'm pretty sure I'll find him, maybe we'll see each other another time..." Veda said before he gave of a wink as he walked away. He needed to buy some energy cells so he could use his arm, only needed some adjustments to fit into his arm and that wasn't so hard to do.
