Is DW 5 good, i have 4 and 4Xtreme legends but as i am aware they do the same thing with every game just better graphics etc, is it worth getting?
Also if im not playing Oblivion its CS: Source... once i go back to school though Oblivion will prob wait until next holidays (new character prob) because RPG's are too time consuming and I have school work to do and a life to live etc etc etc.

Mount and blade, love the combat in the game. Unfortanetly since it is still in beta design there is no or very little apart from the combat and leveling/collecting. To be honest, I think even once they have released the actaul game I don't see much hope for it being a good RPG because there just isn't the mechanics for it; but I will keep playing for the addictive combat.

Rome Total War!

Having massive roman battles, my brother and I went crazy last night with a battle, we got 20000 people in it, my computer was running about 1 frame per 5 seconds, his was running 2 a second, skip 3, 2 a second, skip 3.
It was interesting

BUT AWESOME!

Besides Oblivion, this month I am playing Lineage ... but I'm somewhat pissed at my hubby because he killed off my dark elf's husband player of his.
We said on Friday that we would have a Lineage date at 3pm on Saturday .. but then he said "well, youir going to have to leave this openish because I have alot of other games I'm playing according to mood and I'm in heavy duty training in Eve Online - so we'll leave it an open date for when we get there." So ok, good enough.
On Saturday, around 3pm, I was working on my artsite and looked over and saw he was in Oblivion, so I kept going for awhile.
Next thing you know, when I log into Lineage, he say "Well, you stood me up for the date, so ShyLark is gone!" I could have killed him because we always loved to run our dark elf archers together - in fact, I have never yet run her alone.
But I'm going to now because I am not deleting her or stopping playing Lineage.MEN!!!!!

============================
I also forgot that I wanted to comment on Tomb Raider. I have the original Tomb Raider game where Lara wears light green shirt and brown shorts and her hair is red and she has green eyes. {I also have a snippet of tape of the original British model who was tested to play Lara Croft before Angelina Jolie}
After Jolie took on the role, dark-haired Lara was introduced into the games and her whole look changed ... more scrappy with dark eyes/hair and dark clothing. But now, in what I think they say is Tomb Raider 8 - the old softer redhaired look of Lara is back again. So, just think of her as the typical girl who dyes her hair out of boredom, wear contacts of different colors occassionally and of course = diets often to change her weight and always keeps the skinny, medium & fat clothes in her wardrobe. Us women!

I picked up medieval total war again but now I'm all pissed off because I had conquered half the world, and sicilians conquered the other half, and ungary and the papacy some how managed to claim their own little nuggets, and the byzantines still had a good chunk, too. The Sicilians and I were in this GIGANTIC struggle that stretched from the middle east around armenia all the way to former poland, and I didn't want to over extend myself so I let the hungarians and the papacy (two other people I bordered) alone, when bam the freaking Hungarian come and wage a war in a badly protected line in that area. Armies of loyalists pop up every 5 seconds, I have like a million solders but to stupid idiot that I am I went and over spent when I was up to 125000 + so now I'm in debt, it's just awful.

Heh, beyond writing, studying, sleeping and spending time here, I rarely play.
But yesterday, I suddenly felt like playing so I fired up....Starflight 2!
The graphics are a bit outdated, but it is so much fun! (Well, the copyrights have the year 1989 on it, so it has to be outdated. Ah, they made such wonderfull things in the year that I was born)
I went over to the Dweenle or something and bought some stuff from them. These guys are really depressed and I had to leave before I died from laughing.
So I go all like:,, Hey, I did got a free sample of this hyperjump pod, why not try it out to get home faster?" So I do it and slap the crosshair right next to the home system.
Accuracy calculation comes up and hits....0%! Instead of zooming home, I ended up 50 lightyears further away in the middle of this huge nebula.

So I decide to cruise home in the hope that I have enough fuel.
Then, I am attacked by an alien. I have sold all armour, shields and the laser turret so I have to run. I was destroyed before I got far.

And, then I realized I should have tried out my one-use super torpedo called a Blastopod. ,,Guaranteed destruction or your money back!"
Ah, the good oldies. Love them.

I was playing some Guild Wars tonight. I have a new Elementalist/Monk who is still in the greenland before the charring. Her name is Diana Thundra and she is my Avatar also at some of my websites I visit, but I'm replacing her more and more by this beautiful painting by Geonox that he gave me permission to use as my personal Avatar. Such an honor.
Anyway, Deana is a replacement for my beautiful but flawed Kate Bloodbane who was a redhaired Mesmer/Necro. She was somewhat redundant in her spellcasting and I really didn't like the fact that she couldn't heal herself. That was the big drawback - all my other characters can and I just never felt right about her. She wore the elegant green velvet long skirt and bodice with the white ruffles and high green boots.
But an Elementalist is sexier right outa the box than a Mesmer and it matters to me because I do like to socialize and dance sometimes at the citygates and also dance sometimes when I'm selling weaponry. So, I think I'm going to be very happy with Deana.
=======================
I've been playing alone though because all night Cain has been playing Shadowbane with his guildmates while talking on ventrilo. Pretty nice. They even invited me to join in on ventrilo, but that's Cain's guy thing ... so I said it isn't neccessary since if I do play with them, Cain and I are right next to each other and he can say anything neccessary for me. So sweet of them to ask me tho.

That sounds more like Fallout 2. I don't remember being able to become a sexpert or boxing champion in Fallout; though I might be wrong.

Rane,
My hubby Cain just a couple weeks ago, threw away his DI & 2 disks and deleted all Diablo related content from his hard drive. I can't believe it because Diablo I was the first online game he ever played and after D2 he was really hooked.
He's been through all the changes, the selling of items, buying uber stuff, the upgrades, expanded maps ... the whole D2 experience. So, I had to have it on my comp as well so he could trade with himself. I played 2 characters, a sorc named Jetara and a Spear/Zon named FireLilly. I mainly played Normal, abit of Nightmare, never been in Hell or Cows.
So when I asked him why Diablo is gone, he just said he's outgrown it. (But, very cleverly, I am keeping my disks - for just in case he feels the call of Diablo again...he can use my account.)
===========================
Oh, and I am presently playing Guild Wars. Tried Oblivion, but now I hate my Khajiit's hair, now that I've installed the All hair & eyes mod I have a much wider choice. I have to find the console commands for changing her hairstyle ingame.

Heh, if he's anything like me he'll be feeling like giving the game a try again after a few months. That's pretty much how it's been for me ever since I bought the game years ago. I play the game for a certain number of months, get the feeling that isn't that exciting anymore and that I should move on, but then after a few months or so I find myself digging through my CD piles looking for the game's CDs.
I can't say that it's the multiplayer part of it that has me hooked, though. I had an account for about a year and a half or so but sometime right after the 1.10 patch came out I couldn't bother myself to keep the account active anymore. Already when I still played online it had become more and more of a challenge to find a decent game session to join. When scrolling through the list of active games I would mostly find stuff like "Offer bugged Tal's set - need good", "Baal run #1214", "LookHere! Noob needs free items!" and similar (do notice that random capitalization and leet speak has been removed to ensure the sanity of the reader). It didn't exactly get any better after the patch...

Ah, good old X-com. I love that game. I still have it on my harddrive somewhere. I love it so much I even wrote two short fan fics of it starring Sergeant Ironhead.
I've got so much good memories there.
First encounters with a Chryssalid. I was still using bullets. My whole squad got zombified by one alien.
Or my first test run with a new weapon the light bulbs called a Blaster Bomb launcher.
,,Hmm, I heard that this thing can even punch through the outside wall of an ufo. Time to try it out on that battleship, those alien scumbags will be surprised when I drop through the roof right into their bridge instead of taking the door. I'll put my troops on the roof, but far enough away to be safe from the blast."
*Bomb comes flying from the other side of the battlescape, makes a few circles and dives into the ufo's roof. My whole squad dies exept for the guy who was sitting on top of the transport on the other side of the area with the launcher in his hands.
,,Oops, the blast radius was a bit bigger than expected."
Really, if you find it in a garbage bin, buy it! X-com is the god of tactical squad-based warfare!

I have no choice now but to play Dungeons & Dragons on call. I only have the 7 day trial still, but Cain bought the game and so he is asking me to come into the game occassionally so he can trade items between his different characters.
If anyone else is playing the 7 day trial ... if you want to continue full time with your characters you've created, buy the box. If you download D&D online, it doesn't give you the key to carry over your same characters.

hey hey, there's another reason to buy yours in a box..... ehhhhh ibis. (who was right, who was right, who was right, King was right). Sorry got a little carried away i am rarely ever right so i have to enjoy this.
Now that my computer's all upgraded for OB, I decided to start playing a game that previously didn't work (Damn graphics card and shamefully low RAM!) - Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines (I hate the title - titles need to flow. Cut one of the damn titles or something!)
Its' a fun game, from what I've experienced thus far (a few hours of game time, hehe)
The combat is particularly fun because of the way blood splatters - I was convinced this was awesome when I whacked a guy and his blood splattered on a window horror-movie style. And I got to be inside a haunted manor - which was F'in scary. The person who sent me there will get a earful. Ghosts are
not "harmless".
I choose to play a "Gangrel", which means I get to do cool things like call up ghostly animals, get red eyes and claws (helpful in darkness and useful in a fight), and 'fortitude', which makes me harder to kill. It also means I look like some kinda of rastafarian vampire. I got dreds and stuff!

Well, I really needed an Oblivion break (having mor or less sown up stuff for my second character, it was getting to the "oh no, not ANOTHER dungeon" stage), so I considered a variety of distractions. Pro Evolution Soccer was an option, as was Need for Speed: Most Wanted (both good adrenaline rush games). I also nearly bought Ghost Recon:Advanced War Fighter, until I realised that the 'advanced' part means your computer needs to be a deus machina powered by a nuclear fission plant and cooled by a natural waterfall from a Swiss glacier.
Instead I loaded up a really, really poor game called Shattered Union. The gameplay is easy (really easy), the units are the same (think on a Shogun:Total War) level, and the attack/defend is crap - you can only attack one province a go, and your units all come from one pool, meaning you can't strategically place armies. Still, it's the only game I know where I can bomb the crap out of Orlando and its many theme parks.
Currently I'm now wavering, hoping to get back a copy of Fallout:Tactics as someone has tactically...taken it.
