I talked to them once, and was just creeped out by them. I have never recruited them that I can recall.

Yeah, that's it. They're both creepy, right?

Anyway thanks for answers. Wondering what Khajiit thinks.

Aia's party briefly included Tiax, the deranged gnome illusionist that can be found quite late in the game, namely in Baldur's Gate. I had quite some laughs while he was in the party, especially when he got into banters with other NPCs. He's one of those characters that's actually impossible to get on with, unless one is on the same level of madness. All discussions with him end with his quote "Tiax rules all!". laugh.gif His dialogue has been slightly enhanced through the BG1NPC Project but it's been done in a fitting and humorous way.

Tiax, however, doesn't tolerate good-aligned parties well, so he left the party after only a day or two. It's been for the first time that any of my parties even allowed Tiax to join them. He's one of those characters that are encountered so late in the game that by then most parties are probably already skilled enough and not in a need of another member.
Renee
That's hilarious. Never met Tiax yet, but looking forward to doing so just for the antics. It's funny how we gossip about all these BG characters, right? They're all so personable. Professional. Unprofessional. They're all quite different, is what I mean to say.

A few days ago Aia and her party "completed" BG2 and sent Irenicus literally to Nine Hells. The expansion Throne of Bhaal waits to be completed but I might take a short break first and then either complete ToB or replay BG from the very start, this time with an evil protagonist. It's been a long journey, I returned to BG either in August or September after years of absence, my first protagonist was Myrta but she and her entire party got killed during a fight with vampires in BG2 and since it felt like a fair death, I decided to launch a new party. Well, Aia and her crew - Imoen, Viconia, Hexxat and Nalia were successful. It was also my first women-only party ever! Valygar briefly joined them in BG2 but eventually left, because he couldn't support having a vampire (Hexxat) in the same party.

My next protagonist might be inspired by Cicero from Skyrim, which means a mentally unstable character. he'll be human and his class will be jester. Speaking of...I might even name him Cicero. evillol.gif

Congrats on finishing up BG2!

I only finished it once. Buffy tends to linger so slowly that by the time we finish Act II she's ready to start again with a slightly different build and/or party.
Renee
I'm also a slow gamer. hehe.gif

cake.gif Did you feel any different perspectives, comparing fraus to herrs?

That sounds great, a Cicero remake! Indeed, I was going to suggest he be a Bard, Jester is even better.

My party, led by Sir Tannley, is in the second zone of Nashkel Mine: Tannley, Imoen, Jaheira, Khalid, Neera, and Dorn. viking.gif wub.gif greenwizardsmile.gif, viking.gif redwizardsmile.gif 🧟 -------- My previous Lawful Good Warrior, Hadde Nuff, got killed by that dastardly wizard!!! But Tannley's come prepared. Tannley is an LG Paladin.

Cicero has been created, but I went with the chaotic neutral alignment, it suits him better. His party will probably consist of neutral- and evil-aligned characters. So far he has Imoen, Xzar and Montaron in his party and they're heading to Nashkel as well.
Renee
Can Cicero "tolerate" Monty and Xzar? That'd be interesting know. Those two idiots are so annoying, but I wonder if Cicero doesn't mind their idiocy?

Lopov
So far, so good, I'd say. I've been using a mod that makes them talkative but for the time being it's mostly Montaron, who's talking, provoking NPCs or such. I'm not sure, how long will they remain in the party. As of yesterday, Neera is also on board. When we get Dorn too, Cicero will probably ditch Xzar and Montaron.

He will? laugh.gif So even a manic maniac can't tolerate those too! laugh.gif Guess that answers my question.
Lopov
For the time being "my" Cicero isn't manic yet. He's an impersonation of a chaotic neutral personality, which is more fun to play than I had assumed. He's fairly unreliable, prone to changing sides, he perceives the world as one big play, where he's a jester on the stage...but he's not a maniac. Not yet, at least.

Dorn is now on board too and the party just entered the Nashkel mine.

Neera casts a fireball

Campfire tales

Rainbow for gnolls

Shar-Teel and Dorn have a brief fight viking.gif

Cicero, my protagonist, seem completely bored and undisturbed because of the fight in the last pic, he's simply stretching his arms around a little. It's actually an accurate description of his reaction when Shar-Teel and Dorn fight. It happens from time to time - the half orc and Shar Teel compete, who's the best fighter in the party and occasionally they had a short duel. Those events are scripted and end when one of the combatants has been damaged enough. Up until now Dorn has always been victorious and has humiliated Shar-Teel.

Nice pics, especially the rainbow gnoll killing spell.

Ha, I love that too!

And also, your game's in Italian, right? And your BG's graphics are different from my game.

Lopov
Odd that we have different graphics because you've been using EE as well.

Thanks for the pics. They take me way back when I enjoyed playing Baldur's Gate.

Patch 8 drops for Baldur’s Gate 3 today. 1 new subclass for each class, and a slew of other features.
Lopov
I completed my first solo playthrough of BG1 EE. My character was an evil mage/thief elf Evian. Quite some modifications through the EEKeeper were required to make combat easier or my character more buffed but it was nevertheless a unique and very enjoyable experience.

From the roleplaying perspective, the events of the DLC Siege of Dragonspear don't take place in Evian's game, so we're immediately off to BG2 EE.

Thanks for the heads up. I am updating my copy now. Wow, it is a 125 GB. It looks like it is just downloading the entire game all over again.

Congrats! I bought Siege of Dragonspear a little while ago during one of the sales, but have not had the opportunity to play it yet. I probably won't until after do another full playthrough of BG1 EE.

It looks like the full install files are 127 GB, so yes, patching and just reinstalling from scratch are about the same.

It took all night and some of the morning (I started the download yesterday afternoon and it finished sometime while I was at work today). I once more had a hiccup, and the game froze while starting. It turned out to be a mod conflict again. The No Press Any Key Menu mod was causing it. But I found a new version of it that is updated to work on Patch 8, and it does work.

I did some basic testing, and the game starts, and I can both start a new character and load my old saves. So yay. Photo Mode is finally enabled. The funny thing is that that there is a Photo Mode mod added to the mod list. But I never activated it, and it still works in the game. There is also a GustavX mod listed first. I left that active. I have no idea what it is for. I assume it is the equivalent of Skyrim.esm, the main plugin for the game.

I don't really plan to play it yet. But it will be nice to know it is there when I do.

So far as I know, this is the final patch of the game. So I should not have to worry about updating it again. Unless there is a patch for the patch...

Yeah, me and my bros in law were playing 3 player co op on Tuesday and only encountered a few graphical oddities (one was hilarious; Us had some how managed to seat themselves lower in their victim’s skull and they were clipping through the victims upper neck with purple “quill” looking things sticking out of the lower neck. laugh.gif ). If this was related to the new patch or not, we could not determine.
