what happens in the rest of the film? The landing looked practically over.
Theres some mission to save private Ryan or something. Dunno. Been awhile.
The scence that i remeber most vividly is one where the groups sniper takes out a enemy sniper. Shot the enemy sniper through the scope. :goodjob:

I got Three Cheers For Seet Revenge by My Chemical Romance today, It's a brilliant album.
I also got Dynasty Warriors 5, great fun

Ah, Dynasty Warriors. So much mindless hack and slash, but so much fun. It's one of those games that really should be too simplistic to be fun, like Diablo, but just isnt.

That's why it's a good thing you get about twenty officers to use. Plus this time apparently each officer has a unique storyline thingy

Erm, storyline? We're talking about Dynasty Warriors here. The furthest a storyline gets is "Mighty warrior kills 10000000000000000 enemies and has great honour".

I'm currently sitting in the dark (since I can't be bothered to get up and put the light on) and listening to... well, nothing more than the hum of my computer, and I'm trying to waste some time while the lazy fools that are supposed to run World of Warcraft can get the test server up, allowing me to play a pre-created max-level character

Great Movie Moments
In Red Dawn when the Russians (I think they were the ones) line up Americans for execution in a big line in front of a ditch and right before they shoot them the Americans start to sing "America the Beautiful" and you can here it breaking up as they fall into the ditch.

That sounds like vomit-worthy patriotic propaganda to me.
Anyway, I'm not sure about great movie moments, but I've been watching the Godfather series recently, and when Vito Corleone gets shots I was just shocked, since I hadn't seen anything like that coming, and I thought it was a really well executed scene.

Actually, it wasn't really propaganda. It was just an entertainment film. The first one to earn the rating PG-13. Also I like the scene in the film "The Village" where that one guy gets stabbed, and I can't even remember his name. It was also very very well done.

I suppose I don't really mean propaganda, as such, it's just that it's really a typical feature of American film-making to show americans in that kind of ridiculously patriotic way (I mean, who would be thinking about their country, nevermind singing a song about it, if you're about to be shot?)

Some of us are very devoted to our country and are having our lives and future entangled in it.
I for one, if ever shot down over enemy teritory (i plan to be a pilot in the USAF) would think of first, My God, 2nd My Family, and 3rd my country. And while thinking about my country I might not bust out in a patriotic melody (because I cant sing worth crap) but I would surely do somehting to publicly state my love for my country.
Just because you wouldnt do it for your country doesn't mean they're aren't others..

I would probably be thinking. "oh god, I have to survive."
While I would be a cool guy if i thought of family and country first, I can honestly say, I probably wouldn't when I was about to die.

Some might be thinking of their country, but I'm pretty sure that would be a minority. It's easy to say you'd think about things in that order when you're in a position to think about it at your leisure, but when a person is about to be killed, it's very hard to predict what they might be thinking. In virtually every case, I would think it would be a mix of fear, thoughts of escape, and thoughts of loved ones, though it's hard to say since a person won't exactly be thinking very rationally when they're about to be killed.

Surely it was irrational to get killed putting up a flag? How is a flag worth someone's life?
