*Dons moderator hat*
I note that we’re getting a fair number of WG threads – and some of them are ‘mission complete’. I also noted a touch of confusion on the part of one of our newer member/players as to which thread to post on. In thinking about it, I can certainly see that entering a part of the WG could be a tad intimidating. ‘Which thread do I post in?’ is a question that has been seen here at least once.
To keep things a bit cleaner, simpler and less intimidating to newer players/members, I’d be happy to lock the ‘completed’ WG mission threads to make things a bit more clear to prospective players looking to join in the fun. I don’t really see a downside here, since any mod can also unlock locked threads at any time if needed for some reason (like if a player wants to edit an old post within).
I’m not trying to wave a hammer of warding at all here, merely offering my service with the gentle wand of locking so new folks will have an idea of which threads are active/open. If players believe this idea has merit, I’d be happy to lock completed threads when so requested by the originating poster (OP).
Have a Wobbly Day!

The confusion on the new members was because there was no activity on the main thread because all the RP'ers were on satellite threads.
There has been much more confusion about the dead threads - people come and see all those open RP's and think we have plenty to choose from. I think the dead ones should be closed out to stop that confusion.
Also; on closing out ones we just finished yesterday or this week, there is always the risk that one of us may want to edit a post if we know our opportunity to do so easily is going to be removed. I was editing my last post just this morning, had I waited I would have lost the opportunity.
Maybe the decision to lock a thread should be agreed on by all the parties involved on that satellite RP, then when all are ready the one that opened it can request its closing?
Or post a notice on the main thread first:
EXample: "We will be locking the 'WG - X' thread after 'X' amount of time, if you have any edits to do please make them before then."
- That type thing so everyone has time to go back and edit their posts if they want.
These RP's have more people participating than just the one who opened the thread, the participants should have a fair and equal say in the closing of it; rather than it being an arbitrary decree by the one who started the satellite (imho).
Just a thought going into the future, not complaining.
