Scenery is from Unique Landscapes:
Cloudtop Mountains. The distant visuals are vanilla (with the angle carefully chosen to hide seams in the landscape mesh) with high-res (2048 X 2048) LOD Landscape textures from the Vibrant Texture pack,
uncompressed normal maps (1024 X 1024), and a
replacement noise filter effect.
Texture pack is
Vibrant Textures to give the game a bit more color. They are the same resolution as the vanilla textures, too, so you can use them with no performance impact.
Water is from
OBGE: Liquid Water. (Requires Oblivion Graphics Extender)
The Hammerfell Pass, does it open the borders? That is AWESOME !!! - Oh, and I saw a sunken ship on page two, what mod is that? AWESOME !!!

You can do that yourself with an INI edit, you know.

Just open the Oblivion.INI, find the entry bBorderRegionsEnabled=1, and change the 1 to a 0. Voila! No more invisible border walls!
Unfortunately, there isn't much beyond the borders but trees and flat grass textures.
There is a mod that is aiming to recreate Hammerfell on the Oblivion engine, but it is far from complete at this point. Also, that mod has Hammerfell moved to a separate worldspace, so you can only enter from specific points. Just walking in brings you to the empty vanilla wilderness.
The shipwreck comes from this one.

That's not a Jesus-posed actor, it's just a trick of the angle.

I guessing this is the Bruma siege crawler, it looks a lot different in my game. I’ve only finished with two characters, and this is such a somber place for both of them. Thank you for sharing it!

What are we looking at TK? Is Grits right that this is post Bruma gate?
Thomas Kaira
Jul 22 2011, 07:58 PM
Grits is right. This is the aftermath of the Battle of Bruma.
What you can't see: the battlefield in my game has actually caved in because of the battle and revealed the entrance to an old fort underneath.
See, this is what happens when you put off finishing the main quest? You start to forget such iconic sights as the Siege Crawler hulk.
Here's a different angle. (You can actually see here where the ground caved in) And one more...

Dementia is somehow. . . comforting. Perhaps it is the fog and lack of bright lights and colors that allow one to so easily move about unseen. We do enjoy exploring outdoors in the SI.

Today, the latest in Cyrodiilic fashion!
Here, we see the robes of the fabled Akatosh Chantry. These signify the high priests of Akatosh, the God of the everlasting, and are a mark of significant power and authority. These replica robes may not contain the power of the Dragon like the real Chantry robes, but they have seen a significant rise in popularity since the conclusion of the Oblivion Crisis. Particularly at festivals.
Ever since the conclusion of the Oblivion Crisis, a number of clothiers have been producing replicas of Daedric garb. This example, the kilt and collar of the feared Xivilai, was painstakingly recreated from samples taken from the Temple plaza at the conclusion of the Battle of the Temple.
Oftentimes, at celebratory festivals and plays, the epic battle of Dagon vs. Akatosh the Redeemer would be played out with Martin/Akatosh wearing the Chantry robes, and Dagon wearing the Xivilai garb. It has proven to be quite successful, and as many more serious playwrights have taken up the task of committing the famous scenes to theater, many say these will become the 'official' costumes for that great battle.
Today's model: Velmenian (really, NOT a Bosmer).

Nice robes indeed. Right down to the dragon on the chest! And a snazzy Xivilai outfit that I’m glad to see preserves the Mythic Dawnish colors. Finally, a creative story to bring their history and purpose to life!
Bards beware,
For this is just the stuff for a Cyrodiilic Ren Faire!
