THIS ONE I DEDICATE TO KILN, IN HOPE THAT HE WILL CONTINUE WITH HIS STORY AND CONTINUE TO BE ON THE FORUMS.OKI....I have now managed to sit down, and hopefully give out a really good one today.-"Wake up, Ser Delvanni, it's breakfast", I woke up to the voice of Ciralinde, so I jumped into my clothes, and went down to get some breakfast.
After eating my fabulous meal, loafs of bread, with kagouti slices, and fried kwama eggs, I headed up to my closet, and picked up three of my priceless weapons, and went down again.
-"Ok, Menelras, untill i can buy weapons, you'll carry the bow of shadows, there is quite a few arrows up in the weapon case, in my room, consider them yours".
Davina, I do not have any shields at the moment, but I gift you this weapon..."I presented her with my axe. "This is Icesting, it was my very first weapon, here on the island, you may keep it", she accepted the ancient axe with shivering hands, thanking me with a weak voice.
-"And for you Manilian, I want you to acompany me to an armourers shop, there you will be allowed to chose an armour, and two weapons to be yours entierly, so be ready, we leave in half an hour"...."Davina, you are in controll here while we are away".
Half an hour later, we left for the ton of Balmora. There we visited Meldor, a bosmer smith, but he did not have what Manilian was searching for. That happened at the towns of Suran, Ebonheart, Vivec and Gnisis, but then a sudden stroke of inspiration came to me.
-"Manilian, how would you like a suit of Orcish armour"?..."Oh, that would be perfect wizard Delvanni", he said.
-"Well then, take these three-thousand septims, and buy yourself a weapon, and meet me at Tel Delvanni at midnight"...."Oh yes, sure thing Ser Delvanni". then he left, and I opned up a way to Vivec.
When I came there, I decided that I should finish this Seven graces thing, so I bought a levitate potion, and found the first shrine in Vivec. The Shrine of Daring, was located at the east side of the High fane, and after giving the potion to it, I suddenly found myself floating in the air, levitatin...damn, I hate levitating when I have no need for it...well well, this would be an airy day.
Then I walked over to the Palace itself, and gave 500of my precious coins, and I felt...healthyer, and totally ready to find the last one that was located at Vivec. After reading in the pilgrims path, I discoverd that I had to search in the puzzle channel, o great wandering in the sewers...just my thing.
I resisted the urge to vomit, as I enterd the filthy waters of the third level in the puzzle channel, and just out of lucky guessing I had chosen the right place to enter. In the middle of the walkway between the two drains, there was a grate that lead into a large room. I walked up to the platform in the middle of the room, but I saw that to come to the place I was supposed to go, was blocked off by a powerfull magical barricade, so I searched in the pilgrims path for some clues, it only stood.
CODE
To enter the room of Krazzt, thou must prove thy fath in thy lord, by breathing the waters of his mercy
. If I was supposed to listen my Telvanni paranoia, I believed the book suggested that I drowned myself....well, what does one not do only to have something to do.
I dived into the waters, and held my breath, after a little pursuading, I blew out, and all air dissapeared from my lungs. I heard the sound of a stone bridge scraping onto stone, and threw my head above the waters, and breahted the in the air of live. The magical barricade was now empty, and so I levitated up. This hall was enormous, and could easily have my tower standing in upright position, and still have room for more. When I entered the room of the dremora Krazzt, I knew that I was supposed to give him a silver longsword, and I suspected thaat there was one in that chest, standing beside him. True enough, there was not one, but four of them, so I just grabbed them all, and gave one to him.
-"Thanks mortal, you have shown valour, to an enemy and given him a chance to defend yourself, now read the shrine inscription, to fulfill your task".I read the insciption, and recieved the blessing, and when I was going to swim out again, I knew that I had been given a swift swim blessing. Next on the list was to the fields of kummu, so I stopped in on an apothecary before running in the air to reach the fields. While I was nearly there, I realised with a shock that the levitate spell stopped working, it had been finished. True enough I was over the water, but the force of the impact made me loose my breath, and I managed to swim ashore(barely). I took a few minutes to settle down, and relaxe before trying to find this shrine. I found it after searching for about an hour, and dropped off the muck that it demanded, and read the inscription.
Next one, Ghostgate, since the shortest way was from Ald Rhuun, I translocated there, and went out on the long hike. My trip there was...uneventfull, unless you count about two cliffracers, I finally stood in the temple of Ghostgate.
-"Exuse me sera", I asked the woman closest to me. "Where is the pilgrimage shrine, I need to fullfill the seven graces"?.
-"Ah, you're a new member aye, the shrine is inside the ghostfence, just walk up, untill you come to a fork in the road that turns to the right, then you should be ok".
I thanked her, and headed out, in the nast storm that was breewing up, and walked insed the Red Mountain area. I do not know how long I had been walking, and sometimes even climbed up the hills of this cursed volcano, all I know was that I had not seen this fork, due to the storm, I could only see three maby four feet in front off me...luckily this also hid me from whatever nasty creatures that was out there.
I suddenly fell forwards, and must have hit my head, beacuse when I woke up, I felt blood flowing slowly from the left side of my head. The storm had eased, and I could see a large crater filled with bubbling lave, merely feet from me, so that explained the heat. I rose up, and picked up my weapon tha was laying on the ground, but then I realised what weapon it was.....
-"Telina, you must listen to me, allow me to make you powerfull, to fill you up with powers to terrible to imagine, I...."-"SHUT UP", I yelled to the sword, who stopped talking. Looking at it, I realised this blade was to powerfull and terrible to be allowed in the hands of others. I looked at it again, and threw the Umbra blade with all of my force into the big lava pool in the middle of the crater.
Feeling rather good at what I had just done, I backtracked my way down to ghostgate again, I felt rather stupid, as I saw the fork the temple woman had talked about, was about some onehundred paces away from the gate, but well, finally it was time to finish this damned quest, so I dropped of a soul gem, read the inscription, and transported myself to Suran, as I had some unattended buisness there. I walked over to the spot where Umbra had died. His corpse was still there, and after stripping him of his armour, I made a burial mound, and paid my last respects to this powerfull warrior.
When I arrived at Tel Delvanni, I saw that construction had started on some houses around my own Tel, and after giving a few nods to the workers, I walked into my house. When I entered the kithcen, I saw manilias sitting on a chair, while Ciralinde, was trying to fix his arm, with a wery unsucsessfull attemts, he had a large gush in his arm, but it did not seem to serious, so it was a simple matter for me to heal it, with some good restorative spells.
-"Thanks Ser Delvanni", he muttered. "I have been visiting various dwemer ruins, thats how I got this last wound here". So together, I have managed to collect two dwarwen claymores, two spears, maces, shortswords, one hallbeard, three war axes, one battle axe, one hammer, and something that must be considered as a real artefact, I have found two dwemer longswords, they are considered as unexisting, but I managed to find them".
-"I have also collected a little fortune for you in dwemer coins, about ninehundred of them, so tomorrow, if you so wish, I can teach you in dual wielding shortswords, but you will also have many hours with strength training".
I just stood there dumbfounded, he had spent one day and found so many dwemer artifacts. I dropped the orcish armour on the floor, and told him that it belonged to him, as did the dwemer weapons, and so I would only use them for training, untill I found my own. I ate my supper in silencec, thinking of what I had done this day, I had moved onto the part of the temple, possibly for having a wish to belong to a religion, faith call it watever you want, and I had also disposed of, and hopefully destroyed one of the most powerfull swords in history...not a bad day. I thanked Ciralinde for the food, and went back to bed again.
Ok, so I hoped you will enjoy this one. Oh and thanks for coming back Kiln, I hope you decide to finish your story after all, as it is one of my favourites. It's good to see you back again.
