I have to agree with you on the XBox naming, because One meant NOTHING. At least 26 means something (aka = year, which actually COULD be how they named the others too) but the XBox naming was just totally random crap being thrown on as names.
Well, I have to play someone's advocate here and mention that One meant "all entertainment in one system" - movies, music, games, sports etc. That's actually why they named it the Xbox One because the idea was to use it for everything. But it's still messed up because "Xbox one" is how we all referred to the original Xbox

Actually I haven't kept up with Apple at all, it was just a possible explanation. But on the XBox = if that is the case then what was the XBox 360? 360 days to use it before getting the RROD? (and if so, they were wrong. I always got mine within 3 months).
During development it was called 720 (because 720p) but I don't really know why they went with 360 in the end
