Regarding iOS, do you mean they actually named the iOS after the year from the beginning and they fell behind because of all the small updates and are now catching up and I somehow missed all that?

Actually I haven't kept up with Apple at all, it was just a possible explanation. But on the XBox = if that is the case then what was the XBox 360? 360 days to use it before getting the RROD? (and if so, they were wrong. I always got mine within 3 months).
