just thought i would spread the news
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/08/17/news_6131245.htmlif your to lazy to click the link Microsoft is offering two packages: a $299 and $399
Also i would like to rip this man in half
Michael Pachter, of Wedbush Morgan Securities, wasn't as cheerful. He sees the $299 model as a "publicity stunt." "They're doing it to say they are launching at $299. The hardcore guys will absolutely not buy the $299 model...only a complete idiot would buy the $299 model."

Wow, what you know, microsoft is exactly $50 dollars less of rip-off than i assumed, either that or the x360 is $50 worse than I thought it was.
I didn't lose the bet, my friend bet 350 so we're completely even, even if he tries to angle it that it's a dollar in his favor.

Actually, only about twenty cents. You still pay less, so I might as well swim across the border and buy the 360 in America.

Wow...just realised this thread...this sucks...I won't be getting oblivion for X360 until they have some major price cuts...I simply don't have the sort of income to waste on an Xbox with such a price tag...

I still think video games are overpriced, and now here comes the overpriced consoles.

It is not really that they are overpriced, its just that they have tried to use the most recent tech to make an outstanding game console. and well it costs money, it costs a lot of money to manufacture each individual console, especially when you include things like bluetooth controllers, blu-ray discs, graphics card, cell processors (PS3), etc.
and then the games, you have to pay a large group of people to design the game and to make it up to par for the game console, that takes time, and time costs money.
It is really just whether you consider the money spent a good investment or not. it is also nice to look at it as more than just a gaming system. at least that's the way i look at the PS3. i don't particularaly care for the xbox.

I'll end up getting halo figures and possibly the lower priced bundle, but I'll probably have to buy Oblivion myself, and I don't know when I can get a better video card.
