Full Version: So, Oblivion, What Do You Want It Too Look Like?

I'm kind of curious. What do you want Oblivion to look like? Yes, I know the majority of you really want it to be some huge flaming underworld place but I have some other ideas.

Imagine this, you see the portal in some random town and you step towards it, slashing the daedra (SP?) on your way. You step inside and...well it's peaceful, serene, and such. There's trees, you can hear the birds chirping, and a lakes glistening in the sun...but then all of a sudden there's a flash and you see the same place except instead it's been burnt down. The lakes dried up, the tree's have no leaves and are dead, and the deer are now monster's which began to surround you.

I thought it would be pretty neat if this happened like...every ten to twenty minutes. Such as it's all peaceful and then BOOM! Monsters surrounding you and such.

But anyways, what do you want Oblivion to look like?

I vote with you...

I think Oblivion should vary by location in the realm of Oblivion.

IE; the Daedra's repective sphere is different.

Example:

Mehrunes Dagon's sphere might resemble a firey hellish wasteland

Meanwhile, Hircine's got a endless stretch of forest...

and Sheogorath's got a realm that resembles something you'd see when on a bad skooma/Moonsugar trip. laugh.gif

D'oh. I forgot about them. Yeah, that would be really cool! So you don't interest in Oblivion and keep on getting surprised.
Intestinal Chaos
It would be more interesting to make it vary by Daedric lord, and it would be accurate since they explained each Daedric Lord has his own stretch of land in Oblivion. Whatever the case it has to be better than Daggerfall's rendition of Oblivion.... falling into holes wasn't fun.

i want it to have good graphics, but not to good because then that will take away thar fairt tale mystic look away from it.

Ummm he was talking about the place not the game. We already know what the game looks like. anyway i think it should differ depending on which part. The realm of sheogorath should be very weird like one of those weird optical illusions. That of Azura should have light on one side of the sky and starlight on the other. There are too many Deadra princes so i will not list what i think everyone of the realms should look like.
ShogunSniper
fire and brimstone is how i imagined it......but im sure it will be something more creative
Intestinal Chaos
The blank nothing they presented it as in Daggerfall was a bit over literal, No wonder they called it "Oblivion" indifferent.gif
ShogunSniper
that might be interesting, like an abyss or something. does oblivion have boundries? is it an underworld or another dimnsion?

Though some don't think this is an amazing idea, it would fit perfectly with Vaernima, daedric princess of dreams and nightmares.
Wurlon
I want silverly flames bursting out of daedric metal halls filled with red ghosts screaming and running through walls and such.

The Holes in Daggerfall that lead into blankess lend into the VOID.

Not Oblivion, but the void. A seperate realm in itself. Utter nothingness.

Its the place you fall into when you fall through the floor in Morrowind.
