This thread is all about websites, programs, files, which are not game-specific. Today's featured site is ...

Pastebin.com

This is a site which seems to be mostly for scripting. Gamers and modders come up with their own scripts, or borrow / modify them from some game, and post them at Pastebin. This should be especially helpful for Skyrim.

Visual Studio Code

Whatever you pick, Notepad++ Sublime or Visual Studio Code, remember to install there papyrus packages, and set it has your external editor in the creation kit, then you can open psc from the creation kit in your preferred editor, and OFC compile with out even launching the kit.

I have been using Visual Studio Code for a few years now and I like it. I started using it for modding Pillars of Eternity 2, which has a lot of mod files that you need an enhanced text editor to make sense of.

What does it do, exactly? It was recommended to a friend (not me) and I got curious as well. Sounds like it's a third party editor? I haven't downloaded it yet.

It is just an enhanced text editor, like Notepad++ is. It is good for editing code, as it can help you keep track of opening and closing quotations, and the like.

I talked about it over in the Pillars of Eternity game thread. Here it is, with info on how to install a plugin for it so it can handle .json files.

Beautiful, look at what you found. cake.gif

I was going to tell you that it's just like Eclipse, but you don't have to write the plug-ins in Java, but then you'd ask me what Eclipse is. blink.gif

The main feature is that it is a framework that has editors that plug into it, rather than an editor as the base. Notepad++, Vi, Emacs are the other kind.

Okay, so what's Eclip---
