Well... Why is this exactly in the Oblivion section? Wasn't corprus done away with after Dagoth Ur died?

Aug 5 2005, 11:21 PM
Could you play as Limpy?

I'm sure you could be an especially fast stalker if you so wished.

Isn't it coprus?
Corprus is created by Dagoth Ur, through the use of the Heart of Lorkhan, with the destruction of the enchantments on the heart, the disease cannot be crafted any longer, and the disaese is confined to the island of Vvardenfell (remeber how you had to teleport to Mournhold? Vvardenfell was quarentined 'cause of corprus and blight).
So, corprus wouldn't be in.

No, not really. Not unless you were disease and passed it on...
Which, of course, you can't...

Where did you get the idea that it was possible to transcend mortality or whatever through corprus. No Corprus is a disease like any other that kill people, all the stuff about transcendance is just Dagoth Ur's madness.

The corprus disease makes you immune to all other diseases. Also, it makes you unaffected by age.
So in a way, all corprus monsters are immortal in the sense that they cannot die of age.
That's how the Nerevarine fulfilled the second trial in TESIII. He/she contracted corprus.

Second trial
Neither blight nor age can harm him.
The Curse-of-Flesh before him flies.
That, and the highest stage of corprus we see is the Ash Vampire.
And those guys were strong, were they not?

Actually, I'd enjoy playing as a Corprusarian. If it's fun to play as a vampire, a werewolf, and an outlaw, why not? How different can corprus be?
As it was stated though, corprus definatly was a Morrowind-only disease.
egh

From the way I understood it, putting aside the fact that Corprus has ended because of the destruction of the Sharmat Ur and the Heart, Corprus isn't passed along like any other disease in the first place. Don't you have to be deliberately infected with the disease as Dagoth Gres infected you in MW?

No, not really. I hear you could accidentlly get it from the Corprus lady in Vivec you have to get to move to Tel Fyr in a Temple quest. But thats very rare.
Besides, where do you think all the other corpruses came from?
