Well, I discovered my old NES in the attic the other day, and started playing the old games.
how many of you have old consoles like Atari, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, etc? if you do, what is it/them? What is your favorite game for that console?
My favorite game for NES has to be 'Life Force'. You play as an airplane and shoot brains and tanks and dragons....it's just awesome.

I have an old Gameboy with the only two games I ever owned: Tetris and Super Mario World. Funny how after over a decade, I can still finish SMW with my eyes closed in under two hours

Perhaps, one day, I'll buy that Spiderman game I enjoyed playing a lot back then!

I had Kirbys Dream Land.. that game was so Kool.. I know I beat the game like 50+ times O_o
And then there was another one.. The one with mario and donkey kong where DK had kidnap'd Princess Peach and you had to rescue her through about 20 different zones, with like 3 levels in each.. OMG that game was awsome, I bought the one that came out for GBA "for" my lil bro, thinking it'd be just as cool but it came nowhere near its predecessor(SP)
I also bought at least 25 games for N64, and then my bro bought like 7-8, so we had alot of them..
I loved Zelda, Goldeneye, and Rogue Squadron

Ive got a NES. Possibly my favorite game on it would be the first Final Fantasy. That game was awesome, I don't know how they fit it all on that cartridge.
My SNES probably doesn't work anymore, but my favorite game was Zelda: A Link to the Past.
My N64 controllers break too easily, so I dont play my N64 games anymore. Ocarina of Time may have seemed a bit childish at times, but man was it addictive. Thats why its my favorite N64 game.
For my Playstation... FF7. That crybaby from FF10 has nothing on Cloud, or even Squall from FF8 (he was cool too).
I havnt been too impressed by any PS2 games Ive played, so I don't have a favorite. Maybe DMC1, but I think I only played that once or twice.
Thats it for the old consoles I own. I'm a PC man now...

The oldest consoles I've owned have been a Commodore 64 and an Atari 2600, but we gave those away. My current batch of old consoles is made up of a NES, a Sega Mega Drive (PAL and Japanese name for the Genesis), an Atari Lynx, a Gameboy Colour, and a Playstation (the original one, not the fancy shmancy compact PSone). My newest console is a Gamecube. My favourite NES games are probably Kirby's Adventure and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, a game which predates me by almost 3 years.

WHY HAVENīT I COME ACROSS THIS THREAD BEFORE!???

I have the classic grey NES of course, with two regular controllers and the Zinger joystick. Got some games from my childhood as well as many more that I recently bought on ebay

Got the Game Boy and six or seven games. Zelda: Linkīs Awakening and SMB 6 Golden Coins are the favvs.
I also have the Sega Mega Drive and I think three games to it. Sunset Riders (whoo-friggin-whooo!!), Back to the Future III and Shining in the Darkness. I gave the last game a serious try a few years back as it is an awesome RPG but unfortunately the save system got corrupt and erased all my progress. I never recovered from this..
Edit: I also have Sonic the Hedgehog of course

I used to have one of those early LCD games too, the small ones you held in your hand. Donkey Kong is the most famous but I had the one where you have three guys in a boat (three lives), and you go down in an old-style diving suit past a giant squid to collect gold from a chest and then back up again without any of the tentacles grabbing you.
And thatīs it. It kept me entertained though for awhile. I know I should still have it but I cannot remember where it is..
