Moved to the Oblivion section.

And the Khajiit screenshot from the trailer:

And no, please don't ask questions about Oblivion in the Coffee Shop. That's what this subforum is for.

Nice pic, Rane. Notice that he's running up straight like a human would, and he's wearing boots.

Which makes me believe it's either an Ohmes or Ohmes-Raht.

 ... or for me just a cat named... "PUSS! In Boots."
MerGirl
To me, it's either:

1) an Ohmes/Ohme-raht (but aren't Ohmes/Ohmes-raht supposed to look almost identical to Bosmer?)

2) The cat-like one from Morrowind (Suthray-raht? Can't spell it.)
or

3) The big, muscular versions that look similar to the ones from Morrowind (Cathay-raht or something like that)

Well, maybe it's still a work-in-progress? That's why it looks a little... strange?
Rane
1. The Ohmes might look a lot like the Bosmer but I believe the Ohmes-Raht look less mer-like.

2. The legs are just wrong if you ask me. Both for being a Suthay or a Suthay-Raht.

3. Could be, but once again I believe the Cathay/Cathay-Raht don't have legs like that.

I agree. Yeah, that's just.. weird. But, maybe the game will have a choice whether or not you want human-looking feet or the cat-like feet from Morrowind? I can hope, can I? Or maybe a mod...

I'm just basing my guesses on his face and basic appearance. I'm not looking at his... human feet. I got to look at this screenshot again.

Or maybe it's supposed to be a deformed and civilized Khajiit? ... Either that, or the game creators thought that the beast races should be able to wear human boots and stuff...?

EDIT: Ooh! Maybe it's a weird glitch thing. Like, in Morrowind, the female Argonians have no breasts, but when you put on a feminine shirt, then, all of a sudden, they suddenly do have breasts.
Zarrexaij
Uhh... it definitely isn't the Ohmes ones. I think they are the ones that look more elven than the rest.

Actually, the female Argonians had breasts, but they weren't as noticable as females' of the other races.

Can someone please name all the known races(?) of Khajiit and how to tell one from another for me? Just want to know.
Aki
Ohmews and Ohmes raht are HIGHLY elven. The only ddiffrent a Ohmes has is a tattoo on its face, and a Ohmes-Rht has light fur and a Tail.

I believe this fellow is either a Cathay, Cathay-Raht, Or one of the 'mystey' Khajiit we have *no* info on. The Dagi or the Torjay.
jonajosa
Which one(s) were in morrowind?
Zarrexaij
Suthay-raht, I believe.

Try reading the Interview with Jobasha. It lists all the known Khajiit types and a little information about them as well.

And yes, Suthay-Raht were in Morrowind.

If I had to list the ones I remember right now the list would be:

Cathay, Cathay-Raht
Suthay, Suthay-Raht
Alfiq, Alfiq-Raht
Tojay, Tojay-Raht
Pahmar, Pahmar-Raht
Ohmes, Ohmes-Raht
Senche, Senche-Raht
Dagi, Dagi-Raht

And of course, the Mane.
Fuzzy Knight
It really looks quite human, on the way it runs. Have boots and at least in the face, not so 'beast' looking as those in Morrowind. Thought it might be the video, it was quite blurry sometimes.. :ashamed:
MerGirl
Well, it definitely can't be an Ohmes/Ohmes-raht, because I just played the DaggerFall demo, and the Ohmes-raht look practically identical to the Ohmes, but with very, very light fur and tail. But, some of the Ohmes-raht have tattoos like the Ohmes, because the Ohmes-raht have Bosmer faces, too!

In the fourth piccy in Jobasha's Interview, that is an Ohmes-raht. See how it looks almost Elven like? That's what they looked like in DaggerFall. So, unless the Devs are doing a new look for Ohmes/Ohmes-raht, the Khajiit in the picture should not be an Ohme/Ohme-raht. kvright.gif

So, it's either a Cathay/Cathay-raht, or it's one of the more lesser known Khajiit sub-species.... Or maybe the devs came up with a new one, which I highly doubt...

I still think it's a Cathay, but a very... muscle-deprived one. I mean, they're supposed to be stronger than Suthay, right? Unless this one hasn't been taking his daily skooma intake...

Oh, I really, really hope one day the devs will have a nice, clear screenie of the Beast Races! I will gladly wait for that day! :lickinglips:
Dantrag
Wow. That is one ugly khajiit.

Oh, and I agree with Mergirl on the cathay(raht)
Aki
I still say this guy's a Dagi or Torjay. Or a *normal* Suthay (IE, not a suthay-RAHT which is in morrowind, but a Suthay).

Cathay-Raht and Cathay have leopard type fur markings.

That bloke in the screenshot looks like a housecat. With boots. tongue.gif

I say Suthay. Not suthay-raht, just Suthay.

Oh, yeah. I forget about the spots. But it's kind of blurry to tell... It's still one weird-looking Khajiit either way. tongue.gif

I don't know if like the fact its running like a human and is wearing boots.
Kuukulgur
Maybe they're leggings, as added by several mods for Morrowind? It would only be normal if Bethesda decided to include leggings in Oblivion, since their lack in Morrowind was clearly pointed out by several modders, and they would indeed help balance the races.
