On the subject of FF 'oldies' I think FFVII probably does it best - it's probably got the best Cid (FFX's wasn't up to much, and FFVIII's was pretty dull as far as I can remember) and Barret was great. He was sort of the comic relief, but there was a really interesting character there too.

On a avatar related note, the little images of the FF char's faces from character screens make nice avatars.

I couldn't have put it better myself.

And now, on to another staple of the FF series; Biggs 'n' Wedge!

FFVII's fat wedge was... well, all I remember is that he was fat. And he died. Nevertheless, he was cool, but I don't remember FFVII's Biggs. I assume he was similar, just thinner . FFVIII's Biggs & Wedge were pretty good, I think, but I can't remember any Biggs and Wedge in FFX, unless they were just Blitzball players...

Biggs and Wedge were two members of the Besaid Aurochs team, i believe. I'm not too sure though

They were, and does anyone else think the guy with the gun from FFXII looks like the Boss from MGS3?

What..? Final Fantasy, ahhah... Never played those series, only played some at the shop thought - Have been considering buying all the series a long time now, but doubt it... :ashamed:

Yay, I liked Yuna. I also liked Tidus...and squall. Yay, i liked squall a lot. I agree with myhrrgurl, I tauhgt FF7 was overrated as well.

Okay, right now, I have an avatar of Yuna from FFX-2 as a healer. I do play her as a healer as well as a Thief. Right now, in my data, she's 100% complete healer!

Ooh, really? I haven't got that costume yet. (Yeah, I'm really slow in so many games). Right now, my newest costume was... er, I forget but I think it was the Gun Mage. But I got Yuna's and Paine's special costumes... despite the fact that it takes forever to do anything with them.

What I really want are the Trainers costumes! So cute! But... I'm in only chapter 2.

Paine and Rikku are like my best Warriors. Sometimes Rikku has that singer/dancer suit, but she's not good at it, though.

i never actually used the special costumes, to much bother to get them usable. Dark Knight isn't til the Bevelle underground

Yeah, the special costumes are too much effort... You have to like transform and switch into all of the costumes you have in the dressgrid that you assign to each person... Which is really hard sometimes.

They're not worth it, I think. I mean, they're not the end of the world powerful. My group of Warriors and Healer could hurt more and have more turns (because everyone is allowed to attack).

Aw, I have to wait even more? I swear, most of the costumes I like are either in Chp. 3 or chap 5, I think.

hehe, i bought a guide about 3 hours after i bought the game

I am really really tuck on that game. i stormed through most of it in a couple of days...but now I'm fighting dark Ixion! It has mechanica attachments! I can't defeat it for toffee...so I don't play.

Dark Ixion was easy enough, i thought. But then i had a more or less maxed out Dark Knight in the party

ok, now for something both avatarish and concerning FF: I used to have this really cool Sephiroth Avatar. In my opinion, Sephiroth is not only the best Villain in the FF series, (Kuja came close), But I think he is the best Villain ever! I even based one of my MW characters on him (Lord Vaan)

Ok this has got a lot to do with Final Fantasy and nothing to do with avatars. Did anyone find the last boss on FFX really really really easy? Every time you died you got an auto-life for daedra's sake.

Due to a sudden plethora of off-topic chatter consider this to be a FF discussion thread instead.

FFX-2 *thumbs up* hmm currently play all three chars as mascots. I use alchemist, dark knight, and gun mage quite a bit. i have 100% completion ^ ^ and the only blue bullet i'm missing is the umm watchmacall it done by the oversould giant tonberry. and i'm only missing like 7 creatures to oversoul and two of which are paragon and giant tonberry. BTW baralai is an awesome char i liked him the most out of the three guys. well gippal is awesome too, but nooj is just bleh.

also all costumes are 100% complete except for special costumes and of course gun mages which are all at 99%. of the special spheres yuna's and pain'es are cool. rikku's is just takky IMO

Aww, it's so much better when it's all off-topic...

Still though, good idea, much better than deleting all off-topic posts (ie. destroying the entire thread )
